FlutterDash - Beating Hearts

It was just a normal day in Pony Ville. The pomies were either having something to eat at sugar cube corner, playing with there friends at school, or spending time with family. However, today a certain pastel pink-maned mare was planning something. She had been planning it for a while now and today was the day she was going to do it.

She grabbed her brushed with her mouth, then placed it carefully in her hooves as she started to brush her pastel pink mane. She looked at herself through the mirror. She didn't have buckets under her eyes for once, so she let out a small sigh of relief. She put the brush down and allowed herself to flutter her wings.

"Ok Fluttershy, today is the day you are going to tell Rainbow how you feel"

She said to herself before picking up the basket of freshly baked goods off the dresser. She sniffed in the smell of her freshly made pastries , then she smiled to herself, they smelt so good.

"Oh Celestia, I hope Rainbow Dash likes them"

She gulped at the thought. What if Rainbow didn't like her back?? Would there friendship be ruined?? Would she never see her best friend again??

"Stop worrying yourself Fluttershy, I'm sure that if she doesn't like you back you could still be friends"

She began slowly making her way to the front of her house. When a certain white albuino bunny stopped in front of her. He tapped at the floor impatiently with his right foot.

"Oh Angel, I know your worried she won't love me back, but you have to let me do this "

She stated at the little albuino bunny. His stomach grumbled loudly so he thumped at the floor again. She gasped to herself and quickly flew into the kitchen

She grabbed a bowl and placed his favourite meal into it. She then grabbed the plate with her mouth and placed it in front of his bed. The albuino bunny scurried over with a plastered smile on his lips. Before he dug into the meal, putting food scraps everywhere. She sighed to herself.

' I'll clean that up when I get back '

She thought to herself before making her way to the front of her house again. She watched as Angel was already halfway through his food. She smiled and pushed open her front door with her right hoof. It made a squeak as she did.  Then she slowly began making her way to Rainbow Dashes home.

Rainbow Dash was busy doing loops around in the sky to notice that she was being watched by a certain male pegasus. He smiled as he watched her, he looked down at the wedding ring box he had hiding under his right wing. He had liked Rainbow Dash for a while now, and he wanted to marry her, even knowing he knew she didn't like sappy things.

"Hey Dash,  you got a minute!!"

Soarin called. She stopped dead in her tracks at turned to the colt. She flew down in front of him, a bit of dust flew up when she landed. He coughed silently to himself as she wiped away sweat from her forehead.

"What do you want Soar"

He blushed as his nickname which only caused Rainbow to chuckle. He shuffled uneasily as he felt the box almost fall. He caught it though, and he was lucky the Rainbow Dash didn't see it.

"Umm I was wondering if I could ask you a question??"

He said with apathy in his voice. She rose a eye brow in confusion. She hoped what she thought the question was wasn't what he was going to ask.

"Soarin what are you saying??"

He chuckled to himself as he pulled the box out from underneath his wing. Her eyes widened as her suspicions  came true. She gulped tp herself as he showed her a beautiful diamond ring connected to a chain. Since pegasi didn't have horns for the rings, they had to have a special necklace built to hold it.

"Rainbow Dash, will you marry me?? "

Fluttershy landed on Rainbow Dashes front door. She knocked a few times and then waited. When Rainbow Dash didn't come to the door she knocked again and again until she was aure that Rainbow Dash wasn't home. She sighed in sadness.

"Hey Fluttershy!!"

A familiar perky voice called. She jumped but then looked down to see a hyper pink pony. Fluttershy sighed again and flew down to the ground, which was where Pinkie Pie was standing.

"Hi Pinkie Pie"

She said sadly after placing the basket on the floor in front of her. Pinkie Pie noticed her sadness and out a reassuring hoof on her shoulder.

"Still trying to get Rainbow Dash"

Pinkie Pie asked. Fluttershy nodded sadly. All of her friends knew about her crush towards Rainbow Dash, well all except Rainbow Dash of course.

"Well she's out training, but I think I heard from a certain filly that Soarin just asked her to marry him.."

Fluttershy's eyes widened. She burst into tears as she grabbed the basket with her mouth and flew back towards her home. Pinkie Pie called out to her, but it was no use. Fluttershy didn't turn around....
