FlutterDash - Beating Hearts

Pinkie Pie looked at her friends with sad eyes. Her bright and frizzy pink mane drooping ever so slightly. The two pegausus mares looked at each other and then back at Pinkie Pie. Rainbow was the first to speak up.

"So you like Shadow hey?"

Rainbow Dash said thinking of her Shadow Bolt friend. Pinkie nodded grimly before turning away with tears in her eyes.

"There's nothing wrong with that Pinkie Pie..." Fluttershy said getting onto her hooves and sitting next to their party friend " maybe she likes you back"

"Thats just it, she has a huge crush on Thunderlane,and she isn't into girls!"

"Why does everypony have a crush on Thunderlane?! Seriously" Rainbow Dash pouted slightly

"Come on, lets go and find her" Fluttershy got Pinkie Pie to stand up. Pinkie slowly followed her two pegasus friends to the everfree forest.

Shadow Hunter, a shadow bolt. Young and totally up for any challenge. But she is bisexual. She also has a crush on two ponies. One she thought would never like her back.

"Shadow Hunter! You have some friends here!" Her mother called out.

She cringed and slowly flew down from her bedroom. To find Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie standing there. She blushed on the inside.

"What brings you three here?" Shadow Hunter asked confused.

"Well... Pinkie Pie wanted to talk to you" Dash pushed her party friend into the shadowbolt. The two blushed a dark crimson. Which caused Fluttershy to giggle.

"Bye!" The two pegasi then flew away. Landing outside of the everfree forest with a smile on their faces .

Pinkie looked up at her friend and sighed softly. She then swallowed her pride by gulping it down.

"H-hey Shadow Hunter.." She croaked out

"Mm?" Shadow Hunter said confused.

"I think I like you..." She said through croaks.

Shadow Hunters cheeks instantly flashed red, and her wings poofed up too. Pinkie hid her face in her hooves. Shadow Hunter sighed softly.

"Pinkie..." She moved her hoofs away "I kinda like you too..."

Then she pressed her lips against the earth ponys. Pinkie squeed slightly on the inside as she deepened it. But Shadow Hunter had pulled off.

"But.... I don't think...."

"Mm?" Pinkie said , beginning to get a little worried

" My mum, s-she won't... She'll d-disown me "

Pinkie Pie sighed sadly, her bright pink mane deflating to dead straight. The young pegasus heard a sniffle come from her earth pony friend. Her shoulders sagged ever so slightly.

"P-pinkie?"

"Then why?" Pinkie spoke , softly but sternly "why kiss me, if you knew we could never happen" Pinkie Pies voice had begun to rise. The anger in her body had begun to boil to its highest peak.

"Why?!?" Pinkie Pie snapped, she went on her two front hooves and leaned really close into Shadow Hunters face. Shadow gulped as she lowered herself lower to the ground.

"I-I'm sorry, I d-didn't think..."

"You never do, you never think of how others might feel if you express things your way!" Shadow Hunter felt her fear change to guilt. Her eyes filled to the brim with tears.

"I-I..." She tried to speak

"You always go and stuff things up for your friends and yourself, do you know why I didn't tell you? Because I was afraid to be rejected, to be heartbroken. But you know what makes it worses, when the mare you love says she loves you back but won't date you because she's afraid her mum will disown her!" Pinkie Pie snapped unintentionally.

Shadow Hunter shrunk back even more, her heart beating at a slow pace. Slower than normal,  Even for her.  She looked down and let the tears fall down her face.

"What's wrong now!" She growled

"Pinkie, there is another reason why I can't be with you..." Shadow Hunter spoke softly

"What!"  Pinkie growled

"Arranged m-marriage..." The last word was mumbled so Pinkie didn't hear it

Pinkie Pie looked at her confused, her facial expression had turned from anger to confusion. She looked at Shadow Hunter, who was looking down at the ground.

"Arranged what Shadow?" She spoke softly

"Marriage...." Shadow Hunter whimpered softly

"Celestia dammit, tell me already!! Pinkie Pie growled

"ARRANGED MARRIAGE! THERE ARE YOU HAPPY NOW! I SAID i-it..." Shadow Hunter clenched her eyes and flew in the direction of the everfree forest. Leaving a trail of purple and black behind her. Pinkie Pie dropped down, her anger had fully dissapeared as tears went streamline down her face.

"I..." Pinkie Pie whimpered

Shadow Hunter was flying around, her tears streaming down her face like a water fall. She had to find Zecora, she just had too. Her wings where beating at a million miles per minute. Suddenly she came to a small wooden cottage. Her heart had begun to beat irregular again. Causing her to drop to the floor in pain as a electric shock shot through her body.

This caused Zecora to come rushing out of her hut, a look of worry on her face. She rushed over to the Pegasi's side, and help Shadow Hunter into the hut.

"Shadow Hunter, why do you weep so?" Zecora asked, forgetting about her rhyming scheme for a second

"My whole life is messed up Zecora,the one I love won't ever be able to be with me because my parents arranged a marriage for me." Shadow Hunter closed her eyes "Also , my hearts been playing up lately and I just wish my parents didn't exist!" She flicked her tail angrily and flared up her wings. Zecora just smiled.

"I assure you things will get better, But you might want to read this letter"

Zecora passes her a small note, Shadow Hunter looked at it confused. It wasn't any type of letter, it was a adoption paper. Her eyes went wide as she reas the names.

"S-so... I was adopted? They aren't even my real parents?"

Zecora didn't respond, she was just looking out of the window. She had a small smile plastered on her face. Shadow Hunter looked at her confused.

"Do you know my real parents?" Shadow Hunter asked

"Yes I do" she turned her attention to Shadow Hunter to finish the sentence "but so do you"

Shadow Hunter looked at her with a even more confused expression. She looked down at the paper, and read her name over and over again to try and figure it out.

"Shadow Hunter Skies?" Shadow Hunter read outloud "but who has the last name Skies?" Shadow looked at Zecora with a confused look.Shadow Hunter went to speak again, but she froze.

"Soarin... Soarin Skies..." Shadow muttered "but why would he leave me to be open for adoption?" Shadow looked at Zecora.

"Was I a accident?" Shadow Hunter begun to get worried.

"I assure you that you are no accident " Zecora said suddenly, not rhyming the end of sentence.

"Then why leave me, who is my mum!" Shadow Hunter growled

"Being a wonderbolt is great fun, but you must understand what they have done.." Zecora spoke sternly

"Shut up!" Shadow Hunter growled as she gritted her teeth and flicked her tail in frustration. Zecora didn't seem faze "I'm going to go find my real father! I'm going to give him a piece of my mind before I ask him about my mother!" She suddenly flew out of Zecoras small hut. Zecora just smiled some more.

"If only she knew..." Zecora muttered, not rhyming.
