Chapter 1: The Murder

"Come on, Galaxy! Hurry!!" Quillton shouted as I raced towards him, my left wing bandaged for whatever reason. He was on the other side of a cliff, with lava below us. I shook my head at the lava.

"I can't! My wing is busted!!" I called. Quillton paced back and forth before his eyes lit up.

"You'll have to jump, then!" He told me. I scoffed and looked down.

"Jump? Quill, I can't even fucking fly! If my wing wasn't sprained, I could!" I replied back. He groaned in frustration. I looked at him, then the lava below us. "Ah, what the hell?" I asked myself. "GERONIMO!!!!!!" I yelled, getting a running start and jumping. I laughed as I thought I was about to hit the other side when I felt myself falling. Quillton tried to grab my hoof, but missed. He gasped in horror.

"Galaxy!!!!!!" He yelled as I fell. I looked up, frightened.

"Quillton!!!!!" I yelled. I woke with a start, panting heavily. "Just a nightmare." I said to myself, wiping my brow. Crystal lay asleep next to me. It had been two years since her and I have been married, and we were happy. I walked over to the window and sunlight poured in, blanketing her sleeping, angelic face. I smiled. I stretched and both of my wings sprang into full length. After my accident with a huge gust of wind, Nurse Redheart had said my wing wasn't broken, but badly sprained. It healed nicely after a couple of weeks. Everypony believed Mocha and Joy were in on a little 'stunt' Shadow had called it for attention. However, that wasn't the case. Joy's sister, Princess Masquerade, took Joy's form and made us think Joy was evil again. Changelings. I thought. Joy was different, though, and visited me and Crystal often to see how we were doing. Mocha and Valerium were getting along good. However, some of our friends left because of what happened with the whole 'incident', The ones who stayed by Mocha's side were myself, Soul Melody, Quillton and Sunset, Crystal, Joy, Valerium, Paradise and Breeze, Tacitus, and Thunderbolt. Shadow and the others, well, let's just say that they didn't really want to be in Ponyville anymore. I heard Crystal make a soft noise, telling me she was waking up. She opened her blue eyes and smiled at me.

"Morning." She said, smiling. I smiled and kissed my wife's forehead. She giggled.

"Morning to you too, sweetie." I said to her. Crystal looked at my left wing.

"I still can't believe you were grounded for a few weeks. Not flying must've been pretty tough." She said. I nodded. Pegasai needed both wings to manage weather whereas me, I needed both of my wings to fly at my top speed, which was a little bit faster than Rainbow Dash, who disagrees with me on being faster than her. We've had races and she came in close. Crystal however used her wings for travel at slow speeds, like Fluttershy. I heard a knock on the door and opened it. I whipped my head from side to side before.........

"Hi Galaxy!!!" Paradise giggled, causing me to yelp in surprise.

"God damn it, Paradise, don't do that!!!" I said, panting. "Nearly gave me a fucking heart attack!" I told her, trying to steady my heart-rate. Crystal came to the door and giggled.

"Oh! That's right! Mocha wanted to see you!" Paradise smiled. I gasped. I hadn't seen Mocha since the day of mine and Crystal's wedding.

"Where?" I asked. Paradise told me to follow her and so me and Crystal did. Half an hour later, we arrived at Mocha's Coffee Shop, and sure enough, there was Mocha behind the counter whipping up her special lattes. Quillton and Sunset were seated in one booth, Valerium sitting in a chair by the counter, Breeze and Joy in another booth, Tacitus and Thunderbolt sitting together as well, and Soul Melody sitting a few seats down from Valerium. Mocha gasped and smiled when she saw me and Crystal. She trotted over in a green apron.

"Heya, Galaxy." She said, hugging me. I hugged her back. Crystal went to go sit down and let me and Mocha catch up.

"Hey, Mocha. Long time no see." I chuckled nervously. Mocha giggled.

"I know, you've been busy after the wedding. I understand. It's hard, starting a family with somepony you care about, but, you'll manage." She reassured me. I chuckled. Later that day I told Crystal I was going out for a walk to get some air. She nodded and kissed my goodbye. I soon left and just trotted around. I didn't need my wings for walking. Besides, pegasai didn't need to fly everywhere, they can walk places, too. Rainbow Dash thinks that pegasai should fly everywhere. I chuckled at the thought. I then heard a noise rustle in the bushes. I jumped. "What the fuck was that?" I asked myself, my eyes darting around. My wings were extended to their full length because of the surprising scare. "Who's there? Show yourself!" I demanded, my teeth gritted and my expression anger.

"Wonder how Galaxy is doing." Quillton said to Sunset. Just as Quillton finished his latte, Sunset giggled and burst out laughing. "What?" Quillton asked. Mocha looked over and stifled a laugh, her muzzle scrunching up with a wide grin on her face, trying so hard not to laugh. "Seriously, what?" My best friend asked. Breeze looked over.

"Uh, Quill? You've got a little foam mustache on your muzzle." She told him. Sunset handed Quillton a mirror, and he was confused.

"Huh. Looks a bit like Markiplier's mustache." He said. Valerium spoke up.

"Who's 'Markiplier'?" He asked Quillton. He shrugged.

"Some pony on Youtube Galaxy watches all the time." He replied. "Say, Mocha?" He asked. Mocha poked her head up. "I'll have an order of Fish Sticks and Custard, please." Quillton asked. Mocha smiled and went to go fix his order. Crystal wrinkled her muzzle in disgust.

"How can you even eat that? Isn't custard pudding? You're basically eating fish sticks with pudding." She told him. Quillton smirked.

"It's a Doctor Who thing, dearie. Truthfully, only Whovians really understand it." He replied to the purple pegasus. Crystal shook her head. Sunset looked over to her.

"Boys." They both said, rolling their eyes in unison. Quillton shrugged and ate his meal. Breeze was sharing a salad with Tacitus, who kindly obliged. Valerium was sipping his expresso Mocha had made for him. Mocha looked around the cafe.

"Hey, anybody seen Melody?" She asked. Thunderbolt craned his head over to where Melody sat.

"She was just sitting there." He told Mocha, pointing his hoof to Melody's seat. Quillton rubbed his chin.

"Hmm, odd. I wonder where she could be." He inquired. Then, a loud scream startled them. Mocha's eyes widened.

"That was Mel!" She shouted as she scrambled out of the cafe, followed by Crystal, Quillton, and Valerium. The others stayed and watched from the window. Mocha soon saw her best friend on the ground. "Mel!" She shrieked, racing over to her best friend. Melody struggled to stay alive, and when she rolled over, the four of them gasped. There, plunged 4 inches deep in her back, was a switch-knife with a black handle, and inscribed on the handle, were the initials GN in crisp white. Mocha's face went white with horror. "No. No. Galaxy couldn't have done it! He's too innocent for that!" She protested. Crystal's face was white with horror, as well. I was just coming back from my walk when I saw them.

"Hey guys, what's going......" I said, stopping mid-sentence. I gasped in horror as I saw Soul Melody on the ground, the switch-knife plunged into her back. My pupils shrank with horror. "What the fuck happened?!" I almost yelled. Crystal looked at me with a scared expression, as did Mocha. Valerium was busy calling an ambulance, and Quillton looked at me with his face white as bone. I squinted and saw my initials on the blade. "No. It couldn't have been me!" I protested to my friends. My friends in the cafe were all shocked. "I was on my walk the whole time!" I told my friends. Then, I heard the stomping of a royal guard behind me, that guard being Shining Armor.

"Galaxy Nebula, you are under arrest for first degree murder and the killing of an innocent civilian. You can either come quietly or by force." He spoke in a serious tone. I looked at my friends, then Shining Armor.

"I'm sorry, captain, but I need to find out what happened." I told him, taking off. Crystal pleaded to herself. I know it wasn't him, it couldn't be. She thought. I had been blamed for murder, and I had to clear my name before anypony else got hurt. Shining Armor looked up.

"I hope you're right, Galaxy." He told me. "I'll cover for you as long as I can." He promised. I nodded to him before I flew off, headed to wherever.

Chapter 2: Seeking Answers

I flew, probably about as fast as my wings would allow me. No guards followed me. I doubt my friends even believed I was innocent. I was determined though, determined to clear my name. I was going to go seek answers, and I knew where I'd find them. That was my destination.

"I'm telling you, I know my husband better than that!" Crystal shouted at our cottage. Mocha, Quillton, along with Valerium and Sunset were there. Mocha was trying to calm her down.

"I'm not saying he did it, Crys, but his initials were on the knife that killed...." Mocha couldn't bring herself to say Mel's name. Valerium continued.

"What Mocha means to say is, Crystal, is that Galaxy's initials were on the knife. That is a hard piece of evidence right there." He said. Crystal looked to Quillton for support. My best friend sighed.

"I'm not saying Galaxy is guilty, I know my best friend better than that. I am saying though that Valerium is right. Galaxy's initials were on the knife, there's no mistaking that. However, something has disturbed me." He pointed out. Sunset looked at her coltfriend.

"What's that, Quill?" Valerium asked. Quillton spoke again.

"Where did Galaxy get the knife, and why didn't he remember getting it?" He inquired. Everypony in the room pondered for a moment or so. "No one?" He asked. The others shook their heads. "Idjits." He muttered. "It's simple, really. Galaxy experienced what some might call a 'blackout'. One moment you're doing something, then the next moment, whatever you do in that moment is a complete blank. Either that or Galaxy is hiding something. Something important." Quillton said. Crystal was almost in tears.

"My husband doesn't keep secrets from me!" She protested. "I know my Galaxy, he tells me everything." She explained. Sunset's eyebrow raised up.

"Everything?" She asked in a skeptical manner. Crystal nodded her head, tears streaming down her face. Quillton paced back and forth. Mocha sniffled and broke the silence.

"Maybe the killing was recorded?" She asked. "That could help us find some answers." She explained. Quillton's eyes lit up.

"Yes! Mocha, dearie, you are a genius!" He laughed. The five of them raced to Mocha's cafe and Mocha grabbed the security camera fitted under the roof. Quillton took out the film reel and played the video on his laptop, everypony behind him. There I was, right on the camera screen, with a wicked look in my eye creeping up behind Soul Melody. Mocha couldn't watch and turned away. Crystal gasped.

"Pause it right there!" She exclaimed. Quillton paused the evidence where I was looking right at the camera. He gasped as he noticed the very small detail Crystal noticed.

"His coat color....." Mocha gasped, bringing a hoof to her face. Somehow, the camera managed to catch me in a deep, discorded blue color, my cutie mark a black hole, and my eyes a deep red color. "That's definitely not Galaxy, alright. His coat color is TARDIS blue." Mocha told Valerium, Sunset, Quillton, and Crystal, who all nodded.

"So then, who is that?" Valerium asked, raising an eyebrow. "If that's not Galaxy, then who could it be? I've never seen a pony with a black hole cutie mark before." He said. Quillton nodded.

"Yes, Galaxy's cutie mark is a frozen, spiral galaxy. Since his cutie mark is a black hole, we can be safe to assume that Galaxy is in fact innocent." He said. Crystal was still white-faced from the picture.

"Something is very wrong." She said, shocked. Quillton turned to her.

"What do you mean, dearie?" He asked her. Crystal shook her head.

"Whoever that is, he looks exactly like Galaxy. Same mane and tail, same brown stetson, same everything save for eye color, coat color, and cutie mark." She said. "I'm worried." She admitted. Sunset stomped her hoof.

"Whoever this pony is, he's gonna pay for framing Galaxy." She promised. Mocha's face twisted into a serious sneer.

"He's gonna pay for killing Mel." Mocha promised. "No pony kills one of my friends and walks away still breathing." She said. Crystal looked at Mocha in awe.

"Little dark there, eh Mochy?" She asked. Mocha stared Crystal right in the eyes.

"He took away somepony important to me. I have a right to be pissed." Mocha told her. Valerium mouthed to Crystal 'She's got a point'. Crystal shrugged.

"Twilight's Castle." I said to myself. "If anypony knows answers, it'll be Starlight or Twilight." I said as I knocked on Twilight's door. Spike opened it and gasped, closing it fast. I could hear a muffled sound that sounded like an annoyed Twilight. She poked her head out, waved her hoof forward and closed the door behind me. She turned to face me after.

"You really shouldn't be here, Galaxy." She told me cautiously. "My brother and his guards are searching all of Equestria for you." She explained.

"I know, I know. I need answers. A murder happened. One of Mocha's bestest friends, Soul Melody, was killed. The weapon had my initials on it, but it wasn't me. I don't remember doing such a thing, or even buying the knife that killed her." I explained. Twilight pondered.

"You must've blacked out." She guessed. I shook my head.

"No, I'm starting to think it's something much worse." I told her. "I need to find the Mirror Pool, then I'll have all the answers I need." I said to Twilight. She told Spike to get the map to the Mirror Pool. Twilight handed it to me.

"Make sure you aren't seen." She warned. "Or heard." She told me. I nodded. My next destination was the Mirror Pool, because there, I could look at my reflection and talk to myself. I hugged Twilight and took off to the Everfree Forest, somehow catching Crystal's attention out of the corner of her eye. She gasped.

"I saw Galaxy!" She told Quillton. He got out, put on his glasses, and saw the map in my left hoof.

"That's the map to the Mirror Pool!" He gasped. "We've got to follow him." Quillton said. Just as he was about to leave, Crystal blocked his path. "Crystal, this is not the time! We need to follow Galaxy!" He told her.

"No. I need to follow Galaxy. You guys stay here and try to find out more about this pony that killed Melody. I'll handle my husband." She told them. Mocha trotted up.

"I'm coming too." She said. "You'll need magic if you're going to follow Galaxy. I have tracking spells I can use to track him." She explained. Crystal nodded.

"Quill, Sunset, Valerium, stay here and stall any royal guards that come looking for Galaxy. Me and Mocha are going to go help him prove his innocence." Crystal told the three other ponies. They nodded. Crystal then turned to Mocha. "Ready?" She asked. Mocha nodded, and the two of them raced off to follow me, which I was unaware of. I was about to find answers, and possibly confront my darkest fears. No pony else was dying tonight, not on my watch, anyways.

Chapter 3: Confrontation

A few hours later, Crystal and Mocha were making their way through the Everfree Forest. Mocha's horn was lit up a bright gold to illuminate the shadows and scare off any Timber Wolves that dared attack them. "So, Mocha, why did you want to come with me in the first place?" Crystal asked, trotting beside Mocha. She sighed.

"You're right. We both know Galaxy better than this. He's not the kind of pony to commit murder for no reason, especially to one of my friends. I'm just so fucking tired of the rest of our friends thinking my brother is guilty, that's all." Mocha admitted. Crystal's ears perked up.

"You never told me he was your brother. You two aren't even the same race of pony." She said. Mocha sighed, and looked at Crystal.

"Well, not biologically. Me and Galaxy are so close that we consider each other 'brother and sister'. His biological sister is a bubbly crimson pegasus named Crimson Ink. I tell you, he loves her to pieces." She giggled. Crystal giggled too. "He does love you, you know. He talked about you non-stop when you were were coltfriend and marefriend." Mocha admitted. Crystal's cheeks turned a light red color. Meanwhile, I had found the Mirror Pool and looked into my own reflection.

"Nothing." I sighed. I sat down on all four of my legs, and pretty soon, I began to sing.

My eyes soon widened as I heard another voice pick up the song. I gasped, for I knew the voice, and I feared it everyday of my life. A dark version of me appeared in the pool, grinning and staring right at me.

sad to say, it simply isn't so

I looked at my inner self hard in the eyes and sneered, picking up where I left off from the song.

All that you are is a face

is a dying scream! After tonight, I shall
end this demon dream!

Nightmare soon rose out of the pool, smirking and eyes deep red. I gasped in complete shock as he picked up the song, laughing.

This is not a dream my friend, and
it will never end! This one is
the nightmare that goes on!
Nightmare's here to stay, no
matter what you may pretend!
And he will flourish long
after you're gone!

hide you! You cannot

"No, never!" I told my darker side. He laughed.

"Yes, forever!" Nightmare cackled triumphantly. I sneered, not amused.

"God damn you, Nightmare! Take all your evil deeds and rot in Hell!" I told Nightmare, who cackled manically.

"I'll see you there, Galaxy!" He told me as he took the form of shadow and jumped back into me, making one final laugh before his voice vanished for now. I panted heavily, now knowing my answer. I know who killed Melody. It was Nightmare, and he was growing stronger. I had to stop him, no matter what the cost. Outside, Mocha's ear perked up.

"That was Galaxy!" She shouted. Crystal's wings extended to their full length and she took off into the Cave of the Mirror Pool. "Wait!" Mocha called. Crystal stopped. "What was that other voice arguing with Galaxy?" She asked, eyes widening. A flash of blue shot out of the cave mouth by Crystal, which caused her to yelp. Mocha caught up with Crystal and gasped. There, standing in front of them, was the discorded blue pegasus they had seen on the camera footage with a black hole for his cutie mark, and deep, crimson red eyes along with a wicked grin. Mocha growled. Nightmare laughed.

"What's the matter, Mochy?" He taunted. "Still upset I hurt your precious little friend?" He asked in a taunting manner. Mocha was enraged. She fired a magic blast at Nightmare, who sidestepped easily. "I wouldn't do that, you know." Nightmare explained. "It might hurt Galaxy." His eyes glowed. Crystal gasped.

"First we're going to free Galaxy from you, then you'll pay for what you've done, you bastard!" Mocha told Nightmare. "What do you want, anyway?" She asked.

"Ah, I'm very glad you asked that because it gives me this time to explain my evil plan. It's simple really." Nightmare chuckled. "Phase 1: Assume control of Galaxy. Check! Phase 2: Hurt all of his friends and let Galaxy take the blame. 4, no, hang on, and this one you'll get a kick out of, 3: Resurrect Luna's dark side as her own physical being and plunge all of Equestria into darkness! This will be the nightmare that goes on, my friends!" Nightmare laughed evilly. Crystal growled.

"Where does my husband fit exactly in the whole plunging Equestria in darkness?" She demanded. Nightmare looked at her seriously.

"Oh, that's simple, but, can't say, sweetheart. Spoilers." Nightmare smirked. "Until then, I bid you Adieu, Vanilla Mocha and Crystal Harmony. I've got a future queen to resurrect!!" He cackled as he flew off, leaving behind an enraged Mocha and an upset Crystal on the verge of tears.

Chapter 4: The Deal

Quillton, Sunset, and Valerium were all anxious for Mocha and Crystal to get back. When they saw them emerge from the forest, Mocha ran to her coltfriend. Quillton looked at Crystal, then Mocha. "What the hell happened?" He asked. "Please tell me you found Galaxy." He pleaded. Crystal nodded, teary-eyed.

"He wasn't himself, though. That pony that killed Mel, Nightmare, was there instead." Mocha said violently. "He wants to....resurrect Nightmare Moon and plunge Equestria into eternal darkness." She added. "Guys, let's face it. Galaxy's probably gone with that Nightmare inside of him." She said, not wanting to believe it. Crystal spoke up.

"No! I know my Galaxy is still in there somewhere. Mocha, Galaxy told me the adventure he went on to save you. You can't just abandon him like this!" Crystal pleaded. Quillton nodded.

"She's right, Mocha. Galaxy could still be in there somewhere." He agreed. Sunset didn't know what to believe right now. Valerium took Mocha's side.

"Guys, seriously! Wake up! Galaxy is gone, and he's probably not coming back so long as that Nightmare is inside him!" He almost shouted. Mocha turned her head away in sadness.

"I'm sorry, Crystal." She apologized. Crystal looked at the other three ponies, then Quillton.

"Well I refuse to believe it!" She yelled, and took off.

"Crystal, wait!" Quillton called. "God damn it!" He cursed. He then looked at Mocha and Valerium, then his marefriend. Sunset sighed.

"Quill, I'm sorry, but Mocha and Val are right. We don't know if Galaxy is still inside that monster in the form of our friend." She said. Quillton sighed.

"Then I guess it's up to me and Crystal to find him. Tell everypony else to get the citizens inside in case Nightmare decides to kill somepony again. Sunset, you get to Twilight's and then head to Canterlot to request an audience with the princesses." He explained. Sunset nodded. "Mocha, Val, you get the others and see what you guys can do about slowing Nightmare down should he come. That's the least you guys can do for now." He told Mocha and Valerium, who both nodded and headed to Mocha's cafe.

"What will you do?" Sunset asked her coltfriend. Quillton hugged her.

"I'm gonna go after Crystal, then find Galaxy. If I know him, which I do better than anypony, I know exactly where he will go to find how to resurrect Nightmare Moon." He said. Quillton raced off after Crystal to find her crying in her bedroom at our house. He knocked on the door. "Crys? Hey, you OK?" He asked her. She shook her head.

"I refuse to believe my husband is gone. He's inside Nightmare, somewhere." She told him. Quillton sat down next to Crystal.

"If I know Galaxy, he's going to find a way to contact us and let us know where he is without Nightmare knowing. It's what he does. Remember when he was following Chrysalis that one time without her even knowing?" He chuckled a bit. Crystal nodded. "Galaxy's good at getting himself out of trouble, eventually." He added. Quill was right. I was in fact trying to find a way to contact my friends without Nightmare knowing. Constantly we argued inside my head. All I could see was an endless void of darkness, then an echoing laugh. My face twisted into a serious expression.

"Nightmare. Show yourself, you bastard!" I shouted at the void. Nightmare's physical form took shape, standing right in front of me. He chuckled. "What's so funny?" I asked him.

"Oh, nothing. Just pretty soon I'll be the one running this meat-sack, and you will be nothing but a memory." Nightmare giggled. "It's funny, you know. All the memories you have stored in here, all of your mistakes and victories. Let's glance at some of Galaxy's greatest hits, shall we?" He asked, a dark blue door taking shape. Nightmare opened it slowly, and it lead to a room with purple hearts on the walls, a bed in the center of the room, and two ponies heading to it, giggling and kissing fiercely. Nightmare shut the door instantly, his cheeks a light red. "Let's not view that one." He shuddered. "The last thing I need to see in here is you and your wife going at it." He said, annoyed. "Now, let's see, where is that one door?" He asked. I gasped as a brown door appeared. "Ooh, what could possibly be behind door number 2?" He asked.

"I don't know." I smirked. "Find out for yourself." I told him. Nightmare rolled his red eyes, clearly not amused, and opened the door, revealing yet another make-out session between me and Crystal. I laughed as his face twisted into an expression of annoyance.

"Balls!" He cursed under his breath, slamming the door shut. "God damn it, how many doors are there?!" He demanded. I was laughing. He turned to me, angered. "You think this is funny? Trying to embarrass me with all of the times you and Crystal have made out or gone at it?" He asked defensively. I nodded, trying not to laugh.

"It's funny, seeing your reaction." I laughed. Nightmare rolled his eyes.

"Please tell me something good is behind door number 3." He said as the third door took shape. Upon opening it, he gasped. There, smack dab in front of his eyes, was the day Nightmare Moon came back almost 6 years ago. I gasped as he smirked.

"Ah, perfect." He laughed. "Nightmare Moon's amulet." He said, looking at the amulet Nightmare Moon was wearing. "It's like a Horcrux. Should your body be destroyed, part of you lives on." Nightmare explained. "And the rest of Nightmare Moon is inside the amulet. Calculating it's trajectory, it looks like it's headed for..." His eyes widened. "Well, would you look at that? It's in Ponyville." Nightmare chuckled. He then turned to me. "And you are going to help me get it." He said seriously.

"Why should I? You'll just kill me as soon as you get it." I told him. Nightmare sighed.

"You know, I'm in control of your soul. I can, how do you say, extinguish it if you don't co-operate with me, Galaxy." He told me. I gulped. What was worse? Getting a Horcrux? Or walking around town soulless? "What's it going to be, Nebula?" Nightmare asked me. I sighed.

"I'll do it. On one condition. My friends are not to be harmed." I told him. He nodded and extended his hoof.

"Then we have a deal." He said. I looked at his hoof skeptically, my wings extended with my eyebrow raised.

"Since you are technically a demon, don't you guys seal your deals with a kiss or something?" I asked him. Nightmare stared at me, then laughed. "What? What'd I say?" I asked. "I saw it on 'Supernatural'." I told him.

"Nebula, you crack me up." He chuckled a bit. "But, no. No. We don't do that anymore. Do you even bloody know where our dealers' mouths have been?" He made a sound of disgust. "No. Now we just do a hoof shake and the deal is sealed. So, are you in the deal, or not?" He asked me. I thought about it for a minute.

"Alright. As long as you promise not to harm my friends." I told him. "No, you swear to Celestia you won't." I revised. Nightmare rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Fine." He sounded annoyed. "I swear to Celestia I will not harm your pals. Deal?" He asked me, his hoof still extended.

"Deal." I said, shaking his hoof. A ghostly red fire surrounded the hoof shake, leaving a small pentagram on the bottom of our hooves.

"The deal has been sealed." Nightmare said. "Try to break our deal, you die. Try to escape our deal, you and your friends die. Try anything funny, and your wife dies." He told me. I looked at him seriously and nodded. "Good. Now, then. Let's get started on our journey." He smirked. I gulped.

Chapter 5: Nightmare's Plan

Sunset was with Twilight now, along with Stellar Bubbles and Thunderbolt Sentinel, racing to Canterlot to request an audience with Princess Celestia and Luna. Thunderbolt was confused. "Remind me why we're doing this again? " He asked. Bubbles sighed.

"We need to convince Celestia of Galaxy's innocence, idjit!" His marefriend told him. Thunderbolt chuckled.

"Oh, heh. Yeah. Right. Forgot." He said, then realized what Bubbles had called him. "Hey!" He exclaimed. Bubbles giggled. "I see the palace!" He told Sunset and Twilight. Shining Armor saw them coming. Twilight stopped with the other three ponies.

"Hey! Halt!" A guard shouted. Shining Armor looked at him, and he stood down.

"Came to see Princess Celestia to convince her of Galaxy's innocence and Nightmare's plan?" He asked. Twilight and Sunset nodded. "Alright. Follow me, I'll take you to her." Inside, Celestia was going through her mail. She was clearly bored.

"Cable bill." She tossed it aside. "Application for retirement homes." She tossed that aside too. Just as she was about to read another piece of mail, Sunset and Twilight came in the throne room. "Twilight. Sunset. I wasn't expecting you." She said, surprised. Sunset spoke.

"Forgive me, princess, but it's about our friend Galaxy. He's innocent, believe me. He wasn't the one who committed Soul Melody's murder, Nightmare did." She told her. Celestia's face turned grim.

"Nightmare. I haven't heard that name in a long time. And as for your friend Melody, she's alive." She smiled. Sunset and Twilight gasped. "The knife missed her heart, so she'll live. Mostly due to the reason that Galaxy had some control over it and made Nightmare miss, then he took off in a hurry." She explained. "Melody will be healed soon, then she'll be able to come home." Celestia promised. "Now, what is it Nightmare wants?" She asked. Luna was curious too. Sunset cleared her throat.

"About that." She started.

"..........What?!!!!" Luna shouted in surprise about an hour later. Sunset nodded. "No. No no no. He can't resurrect Nightmare Moon, there's no possible way to...." Luna trailed off, and gasped, putting a hoof to her neck. "Nightmare Moon's amulet. That's what he's after. It's a Horcrux, meaning that should your body be destroyed, you put part of your soul into an item of your choice, it can be anything, a book, an amulet, even a pony." Luna explained. "But there's only one way to rip your soul into pieces. Murder. I only killed once when I was Nightmare Moon, and part of her soul went into her amulet." She said.

"Is there anyway to destroy it?" Twilight asked. Luna shook her head.

"Sadly, no. Nightmare is going to get the amulet, then, he'll come for me. He needs a drop of my blood to complete the resurrection spell, that, and a unicorn to conjure the spell." She explained. "However, the unicorn needs to be very close to Galaxy." She added. Sunset's and Twilight's eyes widened, both of them looking at each other.

"Mocha!" They shouted in unison as they raced back to Ponyville. Luna looked at her sister.

"If Nightmare is to come, then we must prepare ourselves for battle, sister, even though he may be in Galaxy's body, he will still be powerful." Luna warned. Celestia nodded grimly.

"Shining Armor, prepare all of your guards if Nightmare is to come." She ordered. Shining Armor nodded. Meanwhile, Bubbles, Thunderbolt, Sunset, and Twilight were racing back to Ponyville.

"Hold on, what?!" Bubbles exclaimed. Sunset nodded. "So that's Nightmare's plan. Get the amulet, get a drop of Luna's blood, and use Mocha to complete the resurrection!" She said. "Great. How's he supposed to get the spell needed? Or is it in his mind already?" She asked, Twilight shook her head.

"No. He'll need the Dark Prognosticus to conjure the spell." She explained. Thunderbolt was confused.

"The Dark Whoji-Whaticus?" He asked. Twilight groaned.

"Dark Prognosticus. A forbidden spell book used by King Sombra himself." She explained.

"If it's forbidden, why the fuck would Nightmare want it?" Bubbles asked.

"Because if used correctly, it can be used not only for resurrection spells, but it can also be used for killing souls." Twilight said. "If Nightmare were to have it in his possession, he could kill Galaxy long before we could even stop him." She explained. Twilight was right. I didn't know it at the time, but that was exactly what Nightmare was planning. The four of them made it back to Mocha's cafe when Quillton, Crystal, Mocha, Valerium, Joy, Tacitus, Breeze, Paradise, and to their surprise, Starlight were all standing. "Starlight?" Twilight asked, confused. Starlight waved.

"I came to help Galaxy. He's helped me out, so now it's my turn to help him out." She explained. Quillton walked forward.

"That's all well and good, dearie, but I'm more inclined as to ask what exactly does Nightmare want?" He asked. Twilight told everypony what Nightmare's plan was. About an hour later, Mocha was being comforted by Valerium. "So that's what Nightmare is after. Quillton said. "Getting Nightmare Moon's amulet, drop of Luna's blood, Dark Prognosticus to conjure the resurrection spell and maybe kill Galaxy, and Mocha to actually say the spell. Smart move on his play. Are there any spells you know that can separate Nightmare from Galaxy?" He asked Twilight. She nodded.

"One. I know one. In order for it to work though, I need Crystal's help." She explained. Crystal walked up.

"What do I need to do?" She asked.

"You need to get Nightmare to stand still long enough for me to get him to stare into a mirror where theoretically Galaxy will be in his reflection. Then, conjuring the spell at the both of them, it should separate Galaxy and Nightmare." Twilight told her. Quillton raised an eyebrow.

"You seem highly doubtful, dearie." He theorized. Twilight nodded.

"I don't really know if it will actually work because I've never done the spell before." She admitted. Mocha walked up.

"If it does, Nightmare is mine." Mocha said, her sadness turning into hatred. "That little bastard is going to pay for killing Mel, and I don't care how I kill him, as long as I actually kill him." She told everypony. Valerium nodded.

"What if the spell doesn't work?" Tacitus asked. Joy agreed.

"I'm concerned for Galaxy as much as everypony else here, but Tacitus has a point. Say the spell doesn't work, what then?" She asked. "I mean, it's not like we can lure Nightmare into a false sense of security and then somehow free Galaxy." She said. Everypony looked at her with wide stares. "What? What'd I say?" She asked. Quillton laughed.

"Joy, you are a genius, dearie!" He exclaimed as he hugged her. Joy hesitated for a moment then hugged him back. "OK, gang, here's the plan....." Quillton started, everypony listening and and smirking.

Chapter 6: Galaxy's Return

Somewhere deep in the Everfree Forest, Nightmare was using his dark magic to re-construct the Castle of the Two Sisters for him and Nightmare Moon to rule in. In my mind, I was thinking about Crystal, how it must be hard for her to go through this. Nightmare finally made a decision. "Alrighty! Time to get a drop of Luna's blood!" He laughed, holding Nightmare Moon's amulet. It was blue in the center, with silver and dark purple on the chain holding it. I gasped.

"Nightmare, what are you up to?!" I demanded, stomping my hoof. Nightmare laughed.

"Simple, Nebula. I don't just want to resurrect Nightmare Moon. I want to serve her in anyway she deems fit!" He told me. I raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Yes, even if it means pleasuring her in her bedchamber, but nonetheless, I shall serve her!" He cackled. "Now then, to Canterlot! I have a princess's blood to collect!" Nightmare exclaimed. Outside of my mind, Nightmare glanced up to a mirror. "I'll need an army before I go." He smirked. He pulled out a book, and I gasped. This book was black, with a blue orb in the middle of it, surrounded by red and purple highlight details. Nightmare opened the book to a page, and then, read an incantation for summoning an army. The language I didn't understand at all. However, I think I'll just tell you the English version and save you the trouble of having to decipher the incantation. "Shadows of the Cursed Realm, come forth. Come and serve your master, Nightmare Spiral. I call upon you to help me on my quest to plngue Equestria into darkness. Rise up, and serve me!!" He chanted. Shadows appeared out of the walls, and one shadow was very familiar indeed. He had a crimson red horn, red eyes, and an outfit suited for a king.

"King Sombra." I gasped in mine and Nightmare's head. Nightmare smirked. Meanwhile, Mocha, Crystal, Quillton, Valerium, Thunderbolt, Bubbles, Joy, Paradise, Breeze, Pony Pint, Tacitus, Sunset, Starlight, and Twilight were planning to make a move against Nightmare. Quillton was looking at a map with the Castle of the Two Sisters on it.

"OK." He placed his hoof on the castle. "So we know that Nightmare is holed up here, and we know that he'll go to Canterlot if he wants Princess Luna. My plan: Beat him to Canterlot and build up defenses. If he arrives, Twilight," He motioned to Twilight, who stood ready for action, "will conjure her spell that should theoretically separate Galaxy from Nightmare, give us our friend back and also a way to kill Nightmare without harming Galaxy." He rolled up the map. Everypony nodded. "Anypony object?" He asked. Valerium raised his hoof. "Yes?" Quillton asked him.

"What if that doesn't work?" Valerium asked. Quillton sighed.

"We go to Plan 'B'." He told him. Valerium was confused. "Plan 'B'! We intercept Nightmare on the way to the Throne Room and stall him long enough for the princesses to escape." Quillton explained. Crystal spoke up.

"If we do free my husband from that bastard, he's going to regret what he did. I'll make him pay for hurting my Galaxy." Crystal said, violently. Pony Pint agreed.

"Yeah! Nightmare's gonna pay for what he's making Galaxy do!" She shouted. Quillton smirked.

"Then it's settled. Tonight, we get our friend back!!" He shouted. "FOR EQUESTRIA!!" He exclaimed, and raced off, followed by Mocha, Crystal, Twilight, Valerium, Pony Pint, Paradise, Breeze, Joy, and Sunset. Starlight stayed behind to get the town ready in case Nightmare invaded town. The band of ponies boarded the train to Canterlot, and arrived there in about half an hour. Quillton stepped out first. "Nightmare's not here yet. We have the element of surprise. Sunset, go to Celestia and tell her our plan. The rest of us will stall Nightmare if he comes." He told his marefriend. Sunset nodded and raced off. Then, a streak of blue dashed through the sky.

"I see him!" Breeze called out. Quillton's face twisted into a determined expression.

"Flyers, don't let him get away!" He told the flyers. Valerium, Crystal, Paradise, and Breeze flew after Nightmare, who smirked.

"Catch me if you can, you four!!" Nightmare laughed as he flew faster. Just as he though he was in the clear, Crystal appeared in from of him with a mirror. "Huh?!" He yelped, stopping abruptly. Quillton laughed in success. My reflection appeared in the mirror, smirking in determination.

"Twilight, now!" He called. Twilight's horn glowed a bright purple, aiming at Nightmare, who now just realized what they were doing, but too little, too late. The magic blast surrounded him, and when it dispersed, two ponies were in it's place. One being Nightmare, the other having brown eyes, a blue coat color, a brown stetson, and a galaxy cutie mark. I opened my eyes and shook my head. Nightmare and I gaped at each other for a few moments.

"How the!!" He exclaimed, growling. He tried to jump back into me, but it didn't work. He gasped. "No! No, no no! NO!!" He growled. I laughed.

"Galaxy!!!" Crystal cried as she flew right into my hooves, hugging me tightly. "Oh my god, I never thought I would see you again!" She told me. I hugged her tightly. Mocha smiled. Nightmare stood up, growling. I looked at him.

"You think this is over?" He chuckled. "This is merely the beginning! Soon, myself and Nightmare Moon will plunge Equestria into never-ending night!" He laughed. "Sombra! Deal with them whilst I deal with Princess Luna!" He called. All of us gasped. There, standing in front of us, was King Sombra. He laughed.

"We meet again, Quillton Brooks." He chuckled at Quillton, who sneered.

"It's been awhile, Sombra." My best friend told him. Sunset was worried. "Guys, head back to town. Me, Galaxy, Crystal, Valerium, and Mocha will handle Sombra." He told everypony else.

"Come on, guys, let's go!" Breeze rallied everypony up. They followed her back to town, leaving Sunset and Joy. Joy sneered at Sombra.

"I'm not leaving you guys again." She told us. I looked at her. The 7 of us got into battle position while Nightmare flew away.

"I got Nightmare!" I told everypony. Crystal kissed me for good luck and I shot after Nightmare towards Canterlot while my friends and wife took on King Sombra.

Chapter 7: The Battle

"Come back here, Nightmare!" I yelled at Nightmare as I flew after him. Nightmare laughed.

"Try and catch me, Nebula!" He taunted as he flew faster. He noticed I was slowing down. "Aw, what's the matter, Galaxy? Getting slow in your old age?" He laughed. I growled and forced my wings to fly faster. They ached, but I had to go on. Nightmare flashed a wicked grin as he saw Canterlot Palace. "Ha! Gotcha!" He smirked. Shining Armor and his guards were ready. This shocked him. "What?!" He exclaimed just as Shining Armor's spear flew past him, just missing him, but enough to where the spear grazed his shoulder. He let out a sound of pain as blood trickled down his shoulder.

"Captain, protect Princess Luna!" I called to him. He nodded and turned to his men.

"You heard Galaxy! Protect Princess Luna and Celestia!" He ordered. The guards nodded. Flash stayed behind a moment.

"Sir, I'd like to go and help your sister." He requested. Shining Armor nodded.

"Go. Do what you can to help her." He told him. Flash nodded.

"Thank you, sir. Swift Rider! Storm Cloud! Follow me!" He ordered to a couple of guards who nodded. The three of them took off to aid my friends with King Sombra. Twilight was there as well, using her magic to stop Sombra, but it didn't work. Quillton leaped up and tackled Sombra, trying to slow him down. Sombra shook him off, and Quillton landed on the ground hard, getting back up. He was bruised and battered, his coat ripped in a few spots. He looked at his coat and gasped.

"This was my favorite coat!" He growled. "Alright, you asshole, bring it on!" My best friend yelled as he charged at Sombra with Sunset next to him. Sunset fired a magic blast at Sombra, sending him back a good few feet. Sombra growled and his horn lit up, only to be hit by a spear which grazed his eye. He let out a cry of pain as Flash flew into view, punching Sombra's jaw. Twilight laughed, racing up to Flash.

"Flash!" She gasped, laughing, hugging her coltfriend. Flash hugged his marefriend back. Storm Cloud and Swift Rider helped Quillton with his bruises. Sombra got back up, enraged.

"He's back up!" Mocha exclaimed. Valerium then did something Mocha never expected. He opened his mouth, and fangs sprouted from his top row of teeth. They were a good few inches, long enough to penetrate Sombra's skin. Mocha's coltfriend flew to Sombra, which seemed like only a blur to him. Sombra roared in pain as Valerium sunk his fangs in Sombra's neck, trying to drain him of blood. Valerium coughed and spat out Sombra's blood as Sombra crumpled to the floor, unmoving and lifeless.

"Bleh, tastes like pears." Valerium coughed, his fangs retracting. Quillton patted his shoulder.

"Pears. I know. Taste horrible." He told him. Mocha ran over to her coltfriend.

"Val, I can't believe you actually...." She gasped. Valerium smiled.

"Killed Sombra? I know." He told her. "Come on. Let's go help out our friend." He told the others, They nodded, racing off towards the throne room to help me against Nightmare. I was doing a good job at keeping him busy, punching him here and there. Nightmare dodged some of my hits, but blood was trickling from his mouth. He wiped it away and smiled.

"You fight good, Nebula. You should join me." He smirked. I scoffed and chuckled.

"You know, Nightmare, I think I finally figured you out." I said. Nightmare was about to say something when I cut him off. "Ah ah, let me finish. Even though you may be an evil version of me, you will never be me. You won't have awesome friends, a beautiful and loving wife, and, just to top it off, I will end you for good and make sure you never come back." I told him. Nightmare raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"You're really confident, aren't ya?" He asked me. I nodded and charged towards him. I didn't know what happened next, but the next thing I heard was a 'SNAP'! followed by a 'CRACK'! I fell to the ground on my stomach, my front hooves outstretched in front of me. Nightmare was laughing, and I soon realized why. I looked at my wings, and as I rose my right wing, I gasped. My left wing didn't rise at all, for it was bent at an abnormal angle.

"My wing....." I gasped, cringing in pain as I slowly tucked it away along with my right wing. "You broke my wing!" I exclaimed, glancing up at Nightmare, who was directly over me, looking at me straight in the eyes. He smirked.

"Can't fly without your wings, can you, Galaxy?" He taunted. I growled, muttering something. "Hmm? I'm sorry, I didn't hear you." He said. I spoke louder.

"Fuck you, bitch." I cursed. Nightmare seemed taken back by this comment. "Yeah, I said it." I told him. Soon, Nightmare heard a thudding against the doors.

"I'll deal with you later." He told me. "I've got a princess to collect, then a unicorn." He smirked. I gasped. I tried to crawl towards him, but he took off, leaving me helpless and grounded. The doors burst open as my friends and wife poured through. Crystal gasped in horror and raced over to me, kneeling on the ground. Quillton growled, along with Valerium, Mocha, Joy, and Sunset.

"Twilight and Flash went to go help Shining Armor." Joy told me as she walked over, helping Crystal lift me up. Crystal was enraged.

"When I get my hooves on Nightmare, he's dead." She told me. "That bastard has gone too far! Took control of my husband, then hurt his wing! Is it broken?" She asked. Mocha used her magic to do an X-Ray of my wing. She winced as she glanced at the bone.

"It's broken, badly." She told me. "Shit, we need to get you to the hospital right away, Galaxy." She told me. I shook my head.

"No. I can deal with the pain. Nightmare has gone too far. That monster is going to get what's coming to him." I told her. We then heard a scream, followed by a name. "That was Luna!" I exclaimed as we all raced into the throne room. Celestia was unconscious on the floor, breathing, while Nightmare has his hooves around Luna's neck, who was struggling. Nightmare laughed as I growled.

"Take a good look, Galaxy! This is how it ends! Your days are done, everypony! Soon, the whole world will see! Nightmare shall rule all of Equestria, with Nightmare Moon by my side!!" Nightmare shouted. He charged towards us, throwing a small ball that puffed out a cloud of smoke. I heard a yelp and when the smoke cleared, me and Valerium gasped in unison. Mocha was in Nightmare's other arm, struggling to get free. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a queen to resurrect!!" Nightmare laughed, taking off with both Mocha and Luna.

"Mocha!" Valerium shouted, racing towards Nightmare.

"Valerium! Galaxy!" Mocha cried as Nightmare flew towards the Castle of the Two Sisters. Valerium growled.

"Damn it!" Valerium yelled. I looked at Quillton, Joy, Sunset, Crystal, and Valerium. Nightmare had just taken our friend, and we were going to get her back. I looked up.

"We're coming for you, Mocha. No pony left behind." I said to myself. Quillton was busy helping Princess Celestia up. Nightmare had gone too far, and now, it's time we took the battle to him.

Chapter 8: Resurrection

Celestia had a hoof to her forehead with a pack of ice Sunset had given her. Valerium paced back and forth, worried about Mocha. Crystal had gone to go get bandages for my wing, and she applied them gently. I winced. "Hold still. I can't wrap up your wing with you squirming." She told me. She finished applying the last bandage. "There." She said. "Oh Galaxy, I know it must be hard, blaming yourself for all this." She looked at me, worried. I was seated on a box Quillton had gotten for me. I lifted Crystal's chin and kissed her gently. She leaned into the kiss, breaking it after a few moments.

"I know." I told her. "Sometimes I wonder if I really am Nightmare, what with all the dark thoughts inside my head." I admitted. Crystal looked at me.

"Galaxy, you are nothing like that monster. You're funny, sweet, caring, loyal, brave, and to top it all off, intelligent, and cute." Crystal blushed at the last word. My eyes lit up.

"Yeah, you're right, Crys. I may have dark thoughts, but I'm no monster, either." I got up, addressing my friends. "Guys, huddle up." I told them. Crystal, Sunset, Valerium, Quillton, and Joy huddled around me.

"OK Galaxy, you're the boss. What's the game plan?" My best friend asked me.

"OK, we know Nightmare is holed up in Celestia's old castle, right?" I asked. Everypony nodded. "Well, I've read the spell he's going to use to resurrect Nightmare Moon. In order for it to work, the moon has to be directly overhead and once it is, it will turn blue for a few moments, long enough for Nightmare to cast the spell." I told everypony.

"So you're suggesting we get the book and keep it away from Nightmare long enough for the moon to pass over him and not turn blue?" Joy asked. I nodded.

"The moon has to be directly overhead when he finishes the spell, otherwise, goodbye Nightmare Moon, and hello sunshine!" I laughed. Crystal hugged me. I winced for she had accidentally hugged my broken wing. "It's alright." I told her. I then looked at my friends. "We're going to need everypony to help us." I smirked. Quillton did as well, and he sent a message to Thunderbolt, Bubbles, Tacitus, Pony Pint, Feline Fluff, who wanted to put some hurt on Nightmare, Spellbound, her coltfriend, and finally, last but not least, my sister. I gasped as Crimson walked through the palace doors. She smiled.

"Hey big bro. Been a while." She smiled. She was now a full grown mare, with her mane falling just a bit above her eyes. She glanced at my broken wing. "Lemme see that." She told Crystal. Crystal nodded as Crimson walked over. "Now, Galaxy, hold still. This might hurt for just a minute." She told me.

"What're you talking about....." I asked before she popped my wing back into it's socket. "Ow!" I exclaimed as my wing went back in its socket. Crystal and everypony gasped. The bandages fell off, and my left wing folded up and down with ease. Crimson smiled.

"Little trick in our family." She explained. Quillton walked up.

"Pleasure to see you again, Ms. Ink." He said. Crimson hugged him. "No, no, not the hugging!" Quillton yelped as Crimson hugged him more. "No, no, no! Please, I'm against the hugging!" Quillton protested. Sunset giggled. Crimson giggled as well, letting go of Quillton who sighed in relief, then looked at me.

"OK Galaxy, what's the game plan?" My sister asked me. I smirked and told everypony my plan again since Crimson wasn't here. Meanwhile, at the Castle of the Two Sisters, Mocha struggled to break her chains. Luna sighed.

"It is no use, Ms. Mocha. The chains are unbreakable and they block both Alicorn and Unicorn magic." She told her. Mocha dropped to the floor and sighed. A door opened, and Mocha snarled as Nightmare appeared form the shadows, grinning.

"It's time." He smirked.

"Come on, let's go, go, go!" I rallied everypony. Crystal raced after me, followed by Quillton, Valerium, Joy, Paradise, Breeze, Pony Pint, Feline Fluff, Thunderbolt, Bubbles, Tacitus, Spellbound, and Crimson. Twilight and Sunset stayed behind to look after Celestia. Crimson and I were in the air flying as fast as we both could.

"There's the castle!" Feline called. Tacitus agreed.

"I see it, too!" He replied. The 14 of us stopped in front of the castle ruins, all determined. I turned to face everypony.

"Alright, guys. We're here for two reasons. To get Mocha back, and to stop Nightmare before that bastard causes any more destruction." I told them. My friends, sister, and wife nodded. "Let's do this." I said. "Allons-Y!" I shouted as I lead the charge. The moment all 14 of us burst in the ruins, iron cages enclosed us in two groups, 7 of us in each cage. I tried breaking the bars. "Gah!" I exclaimed. "It's like trying to break obsidian!" I said. A chuckle came from the shadows and lanterns lit up, revealing Nightmare in Nightmare Moon's throne. He was sitting with his legs crossed and his front legs on the arm rests, smirking.

"Galaxy, Galaxy, Galaxy." He chuckled. "You should've known better than to try and stop me." He said. Mocha was next to him, her hooves clasped in iron chains. Valerium growled.

"Leave my marefriend alone, you monster!" He snapped. Nightmare looked at him.

"Oh, I'm sorry, are you talking to me?" He asked. More of Nightmare cleared the shadows, each one dressed in our outfits, one of them having Quillton's coat.

"Or to me?" A Nightmare clone asked. 3 more faced the second cage.

"Or to us?" They laughed. I growled. Nightmare himself got up from the throne and brought Mocha to a cauldron. He got out the Dark Prognosticus.

"One of you clones come and read the spell." He ordered. The clone with Quillton's coat walked forward. The cauldron sparked to life. Nightmare dropped Nightmare Moon's amulet into the dark blue potion. Quillton gasped. Mocha was shocked as well. Feline tried to break the bars with Crimson, but it didn't work.

"Amulet....of the soul being resurrected...." The clone read from the book. Another clone stepped forward. "Flesh....of a servant, willingly sacrificed...." The clone continued as Nightmare used a knife to kill the clone being sacrificed and dropped the clone into the cauldron. He then turned to Luna, smirking. "And blood....of the enemy....." The clone smirked. "forcibly taken." Luna winced in pain as a drop of her blood fell into the cauldron, followed by Mocha's. Mocha winced.

"Don't worry, your use to me is now over." Nightmare smirked, looking Mocha in the eyes. Mocha looked up and whimpered. Valerium growled. I looked at the cauldron with Crystal. Then, I looked at Mocha. I gave it all my might and smashed through the bars of our cage, ramming into Nightmare.

"Get Mocha and Luna!" I told my friends, wife and sister. "I'll hold him off!" I called. Quillton nodded, breaking Mocha's chains as Feline broke Luna's.

"Come on, up you go, Mocha." Quillton said. Mocha nodded and raced to Valerium, hugging him tight. The cauldron sparked and fizzed. I gasped as Nightmare smirked. A dark blue smoke took shape, taking the shape of a familiar pony. Soon, Nightmare Moon stood up, laughing. Nightmare laughed in success.

"The nightmare......is reborn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nightmare Moon cackled, her laughter echoing throughout the ruins. Me and Mocha gasped. Nightmare Moon.....was back.

Chapter 9: The Final Battle

Nightmare Moon laughed, getting accustomed to being back from the dead. She looked at Nightmare. Nightmare stared at her in awe. "I take it you are the one who resurrected me?" She asked. Nightmare nodded sheepishly. "Well, step up, and claim your award." Nightmare Moon told him in a seductive manner. Nightmare stepped up. Nightmare Moon looked at their height differences. "This will not do." She groaned as she changed her form. She changed into a dark blue alicorn with blue eyes, a black mane and tail, and she kept her cutie mark. She smirked. "Much better." She said. I got up, and growled.

"Nightmare Moon, this time, you will be gone for good." I told her. She laughed, as did Nightmare. "What's so funny, huh, Comet?" I asked him. He froze in shock. Crystal, Crimson, and my friends all gasped. I nodded. "Yes. Nightmare isn't really my inner demon. He's actually my twin brother Comet. Isn't that right, Comet?" I asked. Nightmare, or Comet, sighed.

"You figured it out. I'm impressed. Tell me, brother, how did you ever figure it out?" He asked me. I smirked.

"Simple. We both look alike and wear similar styles of clothing, an example being our stetsons." I told Comet. Nightmare Moon chuckled. Then, Comet opened his mouth, revealing two five inch sharp fangs. He chuckled as he glanced at Crystal, who was helping Mocha. "No." I gasped. Comet charged. "Crystal, watch out!" I yelled as I pushed her out of the way, Comet's fangs sinking into my neck. I winced in pain and I soon begun to feel weak. As Comet retreated back to Nightmare Moon, I fell to the floor, unconscious and barely breathing.

"No. No! NO!!!!" Crystal shrieked as she ran towards me. "Guys! Get Comet while I take care of my husband!" She told everypony. Feline snarled.

"Hey! Nopony does that to my friend!" She yelled as she and Spellbound both charged, followed by Quillton and Sunset. Quillton punched and kicked Comet, while Sunset and Nightmare Moon were locked in magic combat. Crystal had tears running down her face, along with Mocha. Valerium was helping Joy, Thunderbolt, and Bubbles deal with a few Nightmare Soldiers. Mocha glared at Comet, who chuckled.

"You monster!" She shouted. "What could you possibly have to gain by almost killing your own brother?! What kind of sibling does that?!" She said in a motherly tone. Valerium nodded his head. Comet glanced at me, then Nightmare Moon, then the soldiers. His eyes lit up, the red draining out of them and turning back to green, his cutie mark reverting to a comet. He gasped and his fangs vanished.

"Oh, no. No! What have I done? What have I done?!" Comet asked himself. Quillton punched a soldier.

"Now's not the time for self-punishment, dearie! We could use a little assistance here!" He told Comet. Comet flew over to Quillton and punched a few Nightmare Soldiers. Nightmare Moon gasped.

"Just what are you doing, Nightmare?!" She demanded. Comet looked at her seriously.

"My name.....is Comet Nebula." He said. Nightmare Moon gasped and growled, only to be surrounded by Tacitus, Pony Pint, Crimson, Valerium, and Joy. Crystal was still crying. "Crystal! He's not dead!" Comet told her. "You need to give him a reason to live!" He explained.

"Give Galaxy a reason to live? I should be reason enough!!" She protested, looking at me. "Oh, Galaxy." She hugged my unconscious body. "Get up." She whispered in my ear. "Get up, please." She pleaded. "Galaxy, you're going to be a father." She told me. My eyes opened. She gasped as I stood up, looking at her in the eyes. Everypony else gasped.

"I'm going to be...a father?" I asked her. Crystal nodded. I kissed her gently. "I'm not going anywhere." I smiled. I saw my stetson on the floor. "Let's do this." I told Comet as I put my stetson back on with a determined look. My brother nodded.

"Yeah, Galaxy. Let's beat Nightmare Moon once and for all!" He agreed.

"Charge!!!!" Me and Comet both shouted as we charged at Nightmare Moon. She fired a magic blast at us, which we dodged easily.

"Go Galaxy and Comet!" Mocha shouted. She then looked at everypony else. "Alright everypony, we need to clear out of here!" She told them. Feline nodded.

"Mocha's right! This way, everypony!" She called. Paradise followed her, then Breeze, then Joy, then Pony Pint, Valerium, Spellbound, Crimson, Quillton, Sunset, Mocha, Thunderbolt and Bubbles, followed by Crystal. Me and Comet stayed behind to deal with Nightmare Moon. Crystal looked back, and charged.

"Crystal! Wait!" Mocha shouted. Crystal plowed right into Nightmare Moon, sending her flying into a wall. Nightmare Moon coughed. She was bruised and she wiped blood away from her lower lip. She smirked.

"A valiant try, but this is your final hour." She said. Crystal gasped as Nightmare Moon opened up a portal to Tartarus. "Enjoy Hell, bitch." She cackled. Crystal whimpered as the gravitational pull dragged her closer. Mocha gasped. Quillton held her back.

"No. Galaxy and Comet have to do this." He told her. I got up off the floor and growled.

"Hey, Nightmare Moon!" I called, flying towards her. She yelped as I plucked her off the ground and flew towards the portal. She gasped and looked up at me.

"Are you insane!" She shrieked. I looked at her seriously.

"No pony calls my wife a bitch." I told her. Nightmare Moon whimpered, looking up at me again.

"Galaxy! Please! I didn't mean it! Just put me down!" She pleaded.

"I'll give you two options." I told her. "Either I drop you and you fall....." I started. Nightmare Moon whimpered, shaking her head. "Or, you free yourself and run, and if you do, know there will be nowhere to hide." I told her. She struggled from my grasp, her wings not working as she escaped.

"Galaxy, please!" Nightmare Moon cried. I turned away, a serious look in my eyes.

"Nightmare Moon, if you dare to have dreams of power....." I started as she fell, screaming. "You will be consumed by them." I said as she fell through the portal, letting out a cry of fear as she did, landing in an iron cage. Comet stared at me in awe. I flew down to my friends and Crystal, who hugged me tightly.

"She's gone." Mocha gasped in awe. Then, when she saw Comet walk up, she snarled and lunged for him, only to be held back by Valerium. "Lemme at him! He tried to kill Soul!" She shouted. Quillton walked up.

"Comet, I speak for all of us when I say....." Quillton took a deep breath. "What the actual flying fuck were you thinking?!!!" He shouted. Comet sighed.

"I can understand why you don't trust me. I get it. However, when I saw Galaxy on the floor in the helpless state he was in, I realized that hurting other ponies, well, that can change you emotionally. I never meant to hurt you all, and I'm truthfully very sorry if I did." He apologized. "Please, could you all possibly forgive me?" Comet asked. Mocha was freed of Valerium's hold and walked up to Comet. She raised her hoof like she was about to punch him, then, she extended it. Comet gasped.

"Holding grudges isn't the way to make friends." She smiled. "I know that. Joy even went through this, and she's now a good friend of mine." She said. Joy nodded. "So, Comet, was it?" Mocha asked. Comet nodded. "Welcome to the herd." She smiled. I smiled as well, punching my brother in the shoulder.

"Just make sure nothing like this happens again, OK, Comet?" I asked him, laughing. He nodded, and soon, everypony laughed.

"Wait!!!!" Paradise interrupted. "How did you become Nightmare in the first place?" She asked. Comet thought for a moment.

"Huh. Must've been all the anger and greed I held in that made me a monster." He guessed, shrugging. Soon, the 16 of us all headed back to Ponyville for a well deserved relaxation. Crystal and I flew home, smiling. Mocha kissed her coltfriend's muzzle gently and giggled as we all headed home.

Chapter 10: Epilogue

"Crystal, exactly where are we going?" I asked a few days later, with my wife's hooves covering my eyes.

"If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise!" She giggled. Crimson was with us as well, making sure I didn't peak. At Mocha's cafe, Mocha was just putting the finishing touches on a cake that was shaped like a TARDIS, which was a blue police box. Valerium nuzzled her.

"It looks great, Mochy." He smiled. Mocha smiled too. "Oh! Here they come!" Valerium told her as Crystal, Crimson, and myself appeared into view. Mocha whistled to everypony in the cafe.

"Hide!" She hissed. Quillton scattered from his seat and ducked behind the counter. Everypony else scattered to find hiding spots. Mocha ducked behind the counter with the cake. Crystal opened my eyes. I looked around.

"Uh, guys? There's no pony here." I told my wife and sister. They giggled. "What?" I asked. Then, I yelped as everpony came out of their hiding spots.

"Surprise!!!" Paradise cheered. I laughed.

"Guys, you actually remembered?!" I asked in disbelief, still laughing in delight. Breeze nodded.

"Duh! We couldn't forget our best friend's birthday even if we tried!" She laughed. Soul walked up, her wound finally healed.

"Happy birthday, Galaxy." She smiled. Comet chuckled nervously.

"Hey, Soul? Sorry for, well, you know.." He said. Soul giggled.

"It's alright, Comet. I don't hold grudges." She smiled. "Now then, let's get this party started!!" Soul cheered. Everypony else did too, until.....

"DID SOMEPONY SAY PARTY?!!!" A bubbly voice called. Bubbles gulped.

"Uh oh." She gasped as Pinkie Pie came hopping down the road to the cafe. I laughed.

"Pinkie? What are you doing here?" I asked the party pony. She laughed.

"Silly Galaxy. You know I'm in charge of every party in Ponyville! They don't call me the 'Party Pony' for nothing, you know!" Pinkie giggled. Crystal pulled me aside while everypony else partied.

"I thought I lost you for a moment back there, Galaxy. When we fought Nightmare Moon, and when you were on the ground, barely breathing, I thought...." She almost burst in tears. I lifted her chin and kissed Crystal gently at first, then, it soon turned into a passionate kiss, both of us putting our love for each other into it. We both blushed after we broke the kiss. "I love you, Galaxy." Crystal smiled. I smiled as well, and she took my hoof. "Come on, let's go join the others for your party." She giggled.

"Alright." I laughed as she dragged me along. Comet looked over and smiled. Mocha was with Valerium, getting the pinata ready. Pinkie soon tied a blindfold around my eyes so I didn't peak. I held a bat and started swinging.

"Ooh! Just missed." Quillton laughed. I swung again, followed by a loud 'Thwack!' I removed the blindfold and laughed. Crimson hugged me tight.

"Paradise! Don't eat the whole damn cake!" Breeze laughed. "Save some for Galaxy!" She told her. Paradise smiled nervously.

"Sorry." She giggled. Thunderbolt and Bubbles were racing each other. Comet was talking to Joy and Soul. Our lives were back to normal again, besides, I had a new foal to take care of with Crystal now. I smiled, dancing with my wife in the air. She laughed as I wrapped a hoof around her waist. She took off my stetson and covered both of our faces as she pressed her lips against mine, kissing me in a passionate manner. I kissed her back, and for once, I didn't stop. The kiss lasted as long as she wanted it to, and I wasn't going to stop until she wanted to. This is the story of how I saved my brother from the darkness, and how he and I came to become close friends again, and how we saved Equestria from Nightmare Moon. Life was peaceful at last, or so everypony but me and Mocha thought. We both knew something was brewing, something big. In Tartarus, Nightmare Moon growled.

"Damn these bars!" She shouted. "I swear to you, Galaxy Nebula! I will have my revenge!!" She promised herself. Then, she heard a voice next to her. She gasped as a familiar shape loomed from the shadows, laughing. It was Sombra, the real Sombra.

"Galaxy Nebula, hmm?" He chuckled. "Well, Nightmare Moon, I'd say you and I both share a common foe. What say we form an alliance?" Sombra smirked. Nightmare Moon smirked and laughed with King Sombra, their laughter echoing throughout the depths of Tartarus.........

9 months later in a hospital room.......

"Breathe, just breathe, Ms. Harmony." Doctor Silver was telling Crystal. She nodded as she panted slightly, me holding her hoof. I looked at her, and smiled. She smiled as well, then let out another cry of pain.

"OK, Ms. Harmony, one more push and......" Nurse Redheart said before being cut off by a giggling sound. In the doctor's hooves was a small blue pegasus with a blonde mane and tail like hers. Doctor Silver gave the foal to Crystal, who took her in her hooves. She had my brown eyes and giggled. I smiled and kissed Crystal.

"She's beautiful, just like her mother." I said. Crystal smiled.

"What should we name her?" She asked me. Mocha, Quillton, and Sunset came in the room to see the new foal. Mocha gasped.

"Aw!!!! She's so cute!" She smiled as she walked over. "Did you two decide on a name yet?" She asked. I smiled and nodded.

"I've got one. Melody Note." I told everypony. Crystal smiled and kissed me gently.

"Melody Note. I love it." She hugged me and looked at Melody, who's eyes were now closed and fast asleep. "Welcome to Equestria, Melody." She smiled. I agreed. Me and Crystal now had a daughter, and we were very happy to have her. Quillton wiped a tear from his eye.

"I saw that, tough guy." I chuckled. Quillton shook his head.

"No, no. Liquid pride. Totally different....." He said as I gave him a look. "Oh alright, you got me." He chuckled. I chuckled back and smiled. Life was about to get better.
