Twinkle on the Moon

Chapter Five

The next day,Night Glider was given the two most beautiful things in her life.

"Come here."Nightmare Moon encouraged from the kitchen.

Night Glider obediently entered the kitchen to see what she wanted. Nightmare Rarity had two jars on the table in front of her.

"What is it?"Night Glider asked her.

"Galaxy jars."Nightmare Moon responded.

"What?"Night Glider looked at her as if she said she was pickling pickles.

"Watch."The mare ordered as she picked up a jar with her magic.

The mare added some cotton balls,then some glittering stars,and a small blue orb. The ingredients were very odd,totally not normal pony things for sure.

Then once Nightmare Rarity put the objects in the jar it let out a large boom,and then she quickly put the lid on the jar. In conclusion,the jar then had what appeared to be a galaxy in it!

"How?"Night Glider asked Nightmare Moon

"Well,when those ingredients are added,it takes a teeny chunk of the Galaxy. Then we contain it in the jar. It makes lovely decor." Nightmare Moon explained.

"Wow!"Night Glider exclaimed."Can I try?"

"Sure."Nightmare Moon offered her a jar.

Night Glider was given the ingredients:stars,cotton balls,and the special orb.

Only when Night Glider tried to seal the Galaxy inside,it would shut!

"Oh dear,you added too much!"Nightmare Moon hollered.

The ponies both the tried to close the jar;pushing together as hard as they could. The Galaxy almost slipped out,but the two ponies were able to cram the tiny piece of the universe in the jar.

"You are a natural."Nightmare Moon complimented.

The jar now had little stars and planets in it that shined and glimmered. It was absolutely stunning in every way. Night Glider was amazed and looked at Nightmare Moon,who was clearly proud of her daughter.

"Your powers are amazingly strong."Nightmare Moon commented."They might need to be controlled......oh! Nightmare Rarity has a gift for you upstairs."

"Cool."Night Glider said as she snatched her galaxy jar and rushed upstairs.

Night Glider then arrived in Nightmare Rarity's room and saw Nightmare Rarity with a huge gray bag being levitated with her magic.

"Look!"Night Glider exclaimed,showing Nightmare Rarity the jar.

"Exquisite,darling."She responded."But I must give you something too,my dear."

Night Glider looked at the bag,knowing that some thing was in there and all signs pointed to it being something for her. Night Glider swore she saw something move inside of it,but it could've been her imagination though.

"Look in the bag."Nightmare Rarity told Night Glider.

She peeked in the bag to see a small gray squirrel creature. It scampered up Night Glider's arm and nestled in her long white mane. The creature was like nothing Night Glider had seen before.

It looked like a flying squirrel only with a glossy,gray coat instead. The animal seemed to be curled up in Night Glider's hair as if it was it's nest. She could've sworn the animal was trying to take a nap in her hair.

"What is it?"Night Glider asked as she gently took the animal out of her hair and played with it.

"It is a sugar glider."Nightmare Rarity explained."You see,it is nocturnal and it has a similar name to your's. Oh! And here is the best part,it can fly!" Her voice turned into an excited squeal.

Night Glider looked down to see the sugar glider leap out of her hooves and glide softly down with parachute like flaps that came out of its arms. They were like furry wings that came out upon command.

"You have no idea how far I had to travel to get that cutie..."Nightmare Rarity was then interrupted.

"Thank you!"Night Glider exclaimed as she hugged her friend.

"No problem,Skylar."Nightmare Rarity replied.

Everything seemed so right in the world.

Everything was wrong in the world!

Sugar Belle had just read the paper,Celestia had turned evil and was being confined. Also Luna was given a horrible disease. To make matters worse,even the prized Twilight Sparkle was having evil thoughts. The only normal pony in the royal family was Cadence,who discovered that a strange power from the Frozen North was causing the chaos.

She presumed it was Sombra or maybe one of his old followers. Whatever it was various search parties were being sent out,ponies soon forgot about the missing pony.

Deep down,Sugar Belle thought that maybe the dissapeared of Night Glider was linked with the odd rampage in the Royal Family. The only good news was,she was sleeping in her house again and in a maybe relationship with Party Favor. Also Double Diamond had gone a ski trip and said he would keep an eye out for suspicous activity.

Sugar Belle hoped and prayed that this nightmare would end.

Forever.

But she had to face reality,her posters weren't working. Her search parties were having less ponies attend. She just felt like giving up on her attempts to find Night Glider. Party Favor wouldn't let that happen though and she wasn't backing down so easily too.

Party Favor, as well,was noticing these strange things. He began to make "Get Well Soon Princess" parties so he could lighten the mood in the town. They seemed to work quite well for the most part. He was also seeing the connection with Night Glider missing and the princesses going half insane.

It turned out that,Night Glider was closer related to all the chaos in the princesses then she thought. A matter of fact,Night Glider was the reason and she didn't even know it. Her powers were out of control and effecting ponies thousand of miles away from the Chrystal Empire. It would take a while for her to relapse it,but she was being used.

Even a mother can betray her own offspring.
