Chapter one: Meeting Rainbow
You awake suddenly, realizing you fell asleep sometime before six AM. You quickly pick up the tablet on the desk, to wind up the music box. However, you notice the clock on the wall says it is seven-thirty AM. You take a moment to remember who you are. Your name is Jeremy Fitzgerald, the night guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. You are a peach-colored pegasus with a brown mane. You yawn, still very tired. Might as well go back to sleep.
As you close your eyes, you hear somepony trot down the hall. You sigh, and re-open your eyes.
"Hello. Who are-" You start, then see a pegasus mare with a cyan coat, and a rainbow mane. Your heart beats faster, as you stare into her rose colored eyes. She is beautiful. Then you see your boss come next to her.
"This is your new partner. I'll let her introduce herself to you. She'll be working the nightshift with you." He says, then continues. "We need you to work a sixth night this week... Sorry about that." With that, he walked back down the hall.
"Hello, Fitzgerald. That is your name, right?" She asks, and you nod. " Okay, my name is Rainbow Dash, and I'll be working the nightshift with you." You nod again. "Well, we can talk more while going on a quick fly around Ponyville."
You forgot entirely that your wings where clipped, and get up from your chair.
"Sure! I love flying!" You exclaim, following her to the exit, but your boss stops you.
"Hey, don't forget your pay for the week, Jeremy." He says, giving you a small bag of bits. You know exactly how many bits were in the bag, one-hundred. You thank him and take the bag.
After that you leave the pizzeria, both you and Rainbow spread your wings. She takes off, not very far, and you try to flap you wings, but get no lift. Now you remember your wings were clipped on night one. Rainbow lands, looking at you in concern.
"Why aren't you flying? You said you love to fly." She asks, and you sigh.
"My wings were clipped on Monday..." You reply, tears beginning to fill your eyes as you sat on your hunches. Rainbow's face turns into one of horror.
"Who did that to you?!" She demands.
"I'll tell you once we get to somewhere with less ponies." You reply, tears still streaming from your eyes. She gives you a hug, making you stop crying.
"Just tell me. I'll bring them to justice." She said in a calm voice.
"It was the animatronics..." You say. "They, for some reason, keep trying to kill me."
"Okay. I'll make sure they stay away from you tonight. Anything else that is wrong?" She asks, still hugging you.
"I only still have this job because I need it! I have no home, no friends, no family, nopony!" You say beginning to sob again. You now noticed something you earlier failed to notice, she's flying, you in her hooves. You look over your shoulder, to see you are nearing a cloud house that you assume is her house.
In less then a minute, you reached the destination and had stopped your sobbing. While it wasn't the same as flying, it was close enough to help you feel better. She sets you down as she lands, being sure to be gentle, as too not hurt you passed what you already were. You follow her into the house.
"You said you don't have a home, right?" Rainbow asked. You nod. "So... Where have you been sleeping?"
"The security office. They let me sleep there all day." You reply. "It isn't comfortable, but it is better than sleeping on the streets. Trust me, I know." You look at a clock on the wall of her home. Twelve forty-five. When you look back at Rainbow, you see she has made you a sandwich. You smile and take it, slowly eating it as she makes herself one. Once you both finished with lunch, she spoke to you.
"Well, Jeremy, you may stay here. I have a guest bedroom."
"Thanks, How many bits for the help you've been giving me?" You ask. It genuinely surprised her.
"None at all. Jeremy, you just got your pay for the week, and that is one-hundred bits! You can't afford to pay me, and even if you could, this is not something you have to pay for. A friend in need is a friend indeed. Friends help each other out." You ponder what she said for a moment. She called you a friend? You, Jeremy Fitzgerald, have a friend?!
"W-we're... Friends? I haven't had a friend since I was a foal..." You know when you where growing up, you were a human up until a year ago. But you said 'foal' to not confuse her.
"Oh, you poor stallion! Nopony deserves to not have friends!" She says, instantly pulling you into a warm embrace. You hug her back. While the hug only lasted a short while, it seemed like it was longer then the nightshift, only you would chose this over the nightshift any day. You yawn as she breaks the embrace. She seems to take notice of that, and begins walking down the hall.
"Come on, I'll show you to your room for today." She said, leading you to a beautifully furnished bedroom. You walk over to the bed, and plop down on it. Even though she knows you are still awake, she tucks you into the amazingly comfortable bed. You can't stop yourself from drifting off to sleep.

Chapter two: Night Six Preperation.
You wake up, and look at the clock on the wall. It is eleven PM. You get up, and trot over to the mirror. You honestly don't care what you look like, but it makes you feel better to look at yourself. You examine yourself from head to hooves. Your brown mane is ruffled a bit, but you don't mind. Your eyes are the same green as they had always been. From the front, nopony could tell what your coat was colored unless they look you in the face, but you knew your coat was the same color that your skin was when you where human over one year ago.
Your cutie mark was that of a mask, a flashlight, and a tablet, showing your special talent, which you found out recently what it your cutie mark means, is being a nightshift guard.
You walk over to the bed-side table and put on your hat, and pick up your flashlight, clipping it to your belt. You are ready for the sixth night.
You and Rainbow arrive at you first stop, Sugar-Cube Corner for some coffee. The first thing you see upon entry was there were five mares inside. You know two of them, the one behind the counter is Pinkie Pie, it is hard to not know her. The other one you know is Applejack, She was willing to supply you with free apples before you got your job. The rest where mares you didn't know.
"Hey girls." Rainbow said to them, before looking at you. "These are my friends, Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pink-" She starts telling you.
"And Pinkie Pie and Applejack." You finish. "I know those two already." Applejack walks over too you.
"Howdy, Jeremy. I heard ya'll got a job?" She asks, and you nod.
"I am working the same shift as him." Rainbow says. Then Pinkie Pie bounced towards you two.
"Anyway, What would you like?"
"We came here for coffee, please." Rainbow tells her.
"Okie Dokie Lokie!" Pinkie says in a sing-song voice. She returns with two cups of coffee. You sit down at a table, Rainbow sitting opposite of you at the same table. She looks around as you take a sip from your coffee, then looks at you.
"So... Do you have a crush on me?" She asks. If you hadn't already swallowed your coffee you would of spit it out.
"What?!" You ask in return, your face going red. It would seem all her friends heard her, and knew she was going to ask you that.
"Do you have a crush on me?" She repeats. You sigh. No point hiding it.
"Yes... Look, I am sorry-" You start.
"Then consider this our first date." She says, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek. Your blush deepens, but you feel a smile form on your face.
"Fair warning though, I have never been in a relationship before now." You say to her, taking another sip from your coffee. She giggles and puts down her empty cup of coffee. You finish up the rest of your coffee, and you both walk up to the counter.
"Here Rainbow, I'll pay for it." You insist, pulling out your bag of bits. "How much would the coffee be?"
"Only three bits!" Says Pinkie Pie. You pay her the appropriate amount of bits, and the two of you walk out of Sugar-Cube Corner. Rainbow picks you up and flies you both over to the pizzeria. It only takes five minutes, but you wish it lasted longer.
When you enter your office, you find you are five minutes early.

Chapter three: Night Six.
The phone rings. But to your surprise, it is an actual call, not a message. The head of the Security must have just now found out your boss wanted you to work tonight. You pick up the phone.
"Hello? Hello?" He says.
"Hi?" You reply, and he begins to speak like your life depended on it.
"What in Equestria are you doing there?! Uh, Didn't you get the memo?! The place is closed... At least for a while..." You put the phone on speaker. "Somepony used one of the suits. We had a spare one in the back... A yellow one. Now none of the animatronics are acting right. The mask, or flashlight doesn't seem to work on any of them anymore... Only the Music Box does." You look at Rainbow, her face now showing she is worried. "Listen... Just finish your shift... It is safer than going out there in the middle of the night... Keep The new mare, Rainbow Dash safe by all means necessary. We have a birthday tomorrow, You'll be on the day shift... And so will Rainbow... Uh, Wear your uniform, and make sure the animatronics don't hurt anypony. If you need it... And it's for emergency use only... There is a sidearm in the desk, Uh... A forty-five... It is loaded, but you only have one mag. Okay... Good night and good luck."
You open the desk and see, in fact, there is a Colt 1911 sidearm. You take it and it's holster, and clip it to your belt. You look at Rainbow.
"We have to hide. The best place I know is the bathrooms. You okay with hiding in the same stall?" You ask, and she slowly nods. You take your flashlight, and the phone, and you both run to the bathroom, and hide in one of the stalls.
You and Rainbow have been hiding in the Bathroom for around two hours now, and you hear one oft the robots enter the same restroom you are hiding in. You slowly pull out the gun as Rainbow buries her face into your chest.
"Are we gonna die?" She asks softly.
"No-" You are interrupted by the stall door to the stall you are in being kicked open, and you see Foxy there, his hook gleaming. Rainbow hugs you tighter as you aim the gun at Foxy. You pull the trigger.
Click. Click. Click.
Your eyes go wide, as you realize there is no chambered round. Foxy lets out a roar, ripping you from Rainbows grasp, and throws you against the wall. You turn to Rainbow, who picked up the gun. You can feel the blood trickle down your face as Foxy jabs you in the gut with his hook. You cry out in agony.
Foxy pulls his hook out and was about to jab you though the head.

"Hoops and Dumbbell... I went to flight school with them... They still pick on me." She replies, her voice shaky. You know you are going to have none of that. They walk up to you.
"Back off, you two." You growl at them. They ignore you and walk up to Rainbow.
"Hey, Rainbow Crash, who's the stallion, your colt-friend?" The one you assume is dumbbell asks her, and Rainbow looks down.
"Yes, I am. Now. Leave. Her. Alone. She told me about you." The other one, Hoops turns towards you. They are much bigger stallions then you are, but you aren't gonna let them pick on your mare-friend.
"Or what, Pipsqueak?" He asks, and Dumbbell walks to you as well.
"Lets teach this shrimp a lesson about messing with us." Dumbbell said to Hoops. "You keep Rainbow Crash and anypony else from intervening with this while I handle him." Your eyes go wide. You have never been in a fight before. Hoops holds back Rainbow.
"Don't! He's been through a lot!" She screams, but to no avail. Dumbbell punches you in the snout, and you are bleeding. You are instantly dazed.
"Finish him!" Hoops yells. Dumbbell knocks you to the ground, and begins to kick you while you are down. Literary.
"S-stop..." You groan. Dumbbell looks at the backing off crowd.
"He's still talking! Let's fix that!" He gets ready to bring a hoof down on your head.
Suddenly, Dumbbell is tackled, and so is Hoops. You look to see your savior, and see it is your old boss and the Head of security, Scott. Rainbow runs over to you and holds you closely. You don't think anything is broken, so you get to your hooves.
You and Rainbow decide it is time to go home for the night.

Chapter Eight: First Battle
You sigh as you give the mailmare a letter to give to your mare back home. You have been in the jungle that borders the Griffin Kingdom for a week now.
"Make sure this gets to her, Okay Ditizy?" You tell the mare in front of you, who nods in reply.
"Sure thing, Corporal!" With that, the cross-eyed mare flies off. You are no longer Jeremy Fitzgerald. You are now Corporal Fitzgerald, 45th Equestrian army, 3rd platoon, Able squad. You check your gear again.
Colt .45 M1911A1, One Mk. II grenade, Ka-Bar combat Knife, Colt M16A2 rifle, five 20 round 5.56x45 mm box magazines, two .45 seven round mags, your helmet and your Radio kit was your gear for this mission. You didn't realize you have auto-piloted your way with the rest of your squad.
To your left was the squad's support gunner, and one of your two friends in the squad. His name is Big Macintosh, and you've met him once in ponyvile. You silently greet him with a nod, which he returns.
To your right, is your other friend. From what you gather, he too has a mare-friend back home and was a Wonderbolt. His name is Sorin Skies. They both are cool stallions, and have been your friends since training. Now you are here, on the Griffin-Equestria border, You now know that it is a jungle out here.
Your mission is just a simple patrol, but you are on guard. Why wouldn't you be? The griffins are very fierce predators, and know the land here much better then you and everypony else.
"Hey... Jeremy? You okay?" Sorin asks. and you tell him that you stepped on rather soft ground. "Ah. Don't worry so much. It'll be fine."
You slowly lift your hoof and you feel something click under it. Next thing you know, A bang goes off and you are sent flying up to the air, screaming in pain. It was a land mine.
Through your screaming and the ringing in your ears, you hear gunfire erupt, and you are being dragged back to camp by Sorin, Big Mac covering with his M60 machine gun. You can't feel your wing or the hoof that stepped on it, and you soon notice they are gone . You have lost your rear left leg and your left wing, and have burns all over your left side.
You groan in agony, the sheer burning feeling almost to much to bare. You look at Mac just in time to see him shot trough the wind pipe, seemingly killing him instantly. You shout at the sight, and bullets fly towards you as you manage to pull your sidearm and fire into the griffins.
Just as you are mere yards from the base, to safety, Blood splatters onto you as Sorin falls limp. You try to crawl your way to the base, and you get as far as the gate before you pass out from exhaustion.
You awaken in the medical tent, and you see that the burns have been treated, but your wing and leg is still gone.
"Ah. Your awake." You know that voice. It is your captain. Captain Bulls Eye. "Well. As you should know, we can't have guards that are missing limbs, so you are being shipped home with the corpses of Corporal Skies and Lance Corporal Macintosh." You can't think of words. On one side, You've lost friends to this war, on the other, You'll be seeing Rainbow soon.

S A V E T H E M
The robotic voice echoes through your mind, as you see your self as Freddy Fazbear himself, following a pony in a purple security uniform. She suddenly vanishes from your view, and you keep going. You hear hoof-steps coming towards you. You turn around and fall backwards, and all you see is an axe being swung down at your head.
"You Can't."
-Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.-
You awake to a heart rate monitor. You open your eyes and look around. There is a blood bag on a IV pole, the tube going into your arm. You hear a slight sob-like noise, and you look to the side of your bed, and see Rainbow sobbing into your pillow, not noticing you're awake. You are saddened to see her so sad. To let her know you are okay, You put a hoof on her head. She looks up at you, and you smile at her.
"Jeremey! Your alive!" She exclaims, giving you a hug. Your smile grows as you hug your mare-friend back.
"I am, Rainbow." You say, but the real message was 'I love you too, Rainbow'. You both smile at each other for a moment, then simultaneously you both move your heads forward, your lips meeting in the middle. You open your mouth, and she follows suit. You begin a tongue wrestle. You find that she must be no stranger to kissing -unlike you-, and you lose instantly.
Nevertheless, you accept being dominated in the kiss, and bring you hoof to her cheek. Likewise, she brings one of her hooves to your cheek.
All good things must come to an end though. You find yourself low on oxygen and break the kiss, a trail of saliva going from your mouth to her's. You both were panting, the kiss was breath taking.
"I really love you, Jeremy." Rainbow says after a long stretch of silence.
"And I really love you, Dashie." Dashie. You aren't sure where that came from, but she seems to like the pet-name. "Wanna go for another date when I get out of the hospital?"
"Sure!" She exclaims.
Just then, a doctor walked in, and examined your vitals.
"Good news, he is fit to leave now." He says, unhooking you from the empty blood bag. You get out of the hospital bed, with the help of Rainbow, get off the clothing you were wearing. You put on your uniform, which was sewn back together, and the bloodstains cleaned out of it.
With no more business in the hospital, you and Rainbow leave and go to sugar-cube corner for your second date.

You arrive at the house, Rainbow taking you inside the house with her. She gives you a concerned look.
"Are you sure you are okay?" She asks.
"I've had much worse. I'm fine, Rainbow." You reassure her.
"Okay... I am gonna make something to eat. What would you like?"
"A salad would be nice, if you could." You reply.
It's been a few weeks since then, however. You have been going part-time job to part-time job for bits. Granted, you didn't need to because of Rainbow's job pays enough for you both to be sustained, but you don't like being lazy.
Shaking free of your day dream, You go back to drinking your coffee and reading the newspaper. Rainbow hasn't woken up yet. You nearly spit out the coffee when you read the front page.
Griffins Declare War!
Yesterday, the Griffin Kingdom declared war on Equestria. We were not given a reason on why, but Equestria is already begun to draft soldiers. "If you are a stallion over the age of eighteen, you can expect to be drafted." Says Prince Shining Armor. Equestria has taken the defensive, while The Griffins took the offensive. Stay tuned to the news for more information.
You hear a knock at the door and go to answer it. You see a large Stallion at the door.
"Hello, I am Captain Bulls Eye. You are Jeremy Fitzgerald, I presume?" He says. You nod, and he gives you a paper. "See you in basic, Recruit." With that, he flies off. You read the paper. It's a Draft Notice.
You go back to the dinning room, and reread the Draft Notice over and over again. You have five weeks before you have to go to Canterlot for training.
Your ear twitches as you hear somepony come to a stop right behind you, and kiss your neck.
"Morning, Jeremy." Rainbow says as she grabs The newspaper and reads it. Her smile fades slightly. Then she Looks at you. "Don't worry, we still will be together." She says and reluctantly you show her the Draft Notice. A tear runs down the both of your faces.
She loses her cool, and you pull her into a hug.
"Jeremy... Why did it have to be you?" She manages to say at last. You hug her tighter.
Eventually, she stops crying. She gives you her most serious face.
"Just stay safe, can you promise me that?" She asks.
"I promise. Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." You say, and she leads you back to your room, your coffee forgotten about on the table.
