Dear Journal,
I have been gone for three days now and still there is no sign of the legendery gold of the Inca Ponies, I fear that I may have wasted my trip coming out here but I can't give up now for I have come too far but I pray to the Goddesses that they help me find what I'm looking for because I can't do it myself.
Sincerely,
Daring Do
Chapter 1
The sky was dark yet Daring Do kept on ignoring the cold brush of wind against her body, her vest had been torn from the weeds and thorns and yet she had kept it on for it held all the stuff she would need to make this journey, such as her hatchet and journal which she kept all her thoughts and things and yet the only thing she had written so far was that of bad news for she still had not found the gold that she had been sure existed for she had poured over so many books on this gold and thought for sure she was in the right spot; But no such luck for the only things she had found was an old tomb that had been ransacked by tomb robbers and she hoped that that was not where the treasure had been for if so she had made this journey for naught.
Daring straightened the hat on her head and continued trekking across the never ending desert and was glad she had brought enough water to last her, at least she hoped she brought enough now usually she would be flying but she was too tired to fly as the sun was beating down fiercely and it took a lot less effort walking then it did flying so thats what she was doing, as she walked she suddenly heard the hissing of a snake and slowly turned her head to the right where she noticed a rattle snake slithering near by and froze and waited until the snake had passed by before walking on.
She did not really care for snakes and hoped she did not run into another, the very thought made her shiver but she put a fierce look on her face and kept walking as she would not let her fear of snakes keep her from her mission; No indeed, she wouldn't give up searching for the Inca even if the very ground split.
After walking a few miles north she decided to stop and rest as she knew she couldn't keep going for she would collapse if she did, unrolling the bag she carried on her back she set up the tent in a place where she hoped no predators were nearby and went down to the river to get some water; She carried her canteen in her mouth down to the river and carefully set it on the ground as she used her mouth to open it, it was a bit diffucult at first but she managed and picked it up and bent down to the water and filled it before she placed the lid back on and made her way back up to the hill to her makeshift camp and proceeded to make a fire.
Her black and white mane was a bit razzled from not taking a bath for so many days but she was just too tuckered out to even want to bath that night so after setting the fire she laid down on her pillow and fell quickly asleep.
