The adventure of a Human called Connor
The Arrival...?
Previous ChapterNext ChapterTwilight continued to concentrate, her mane starting to form little sparks of fire.
As she did, her teeth gritted more, in slight fury. She may cause the library to burn down this way.
Spike encouraged her by yelling. "You can do it Twi!"
His 'hands' went up in the air in excitement. He kept yelling words of encouragement.
Twilight groaned and worked harder, concentrating harder, her mane starting to form embers.
As this happened, her fur gained heat and glowed magenta. It was a pretty sight.
Spike encouraged her some more, by telling her firmly she could do it "C'mon Twi, You can do it."
His words of encouragement helped, but not enough to actually make her succeed.
The magic started to fizzle, crackling. Her magic would likely fail at any moment, and end up burning down the library.
Twilight's mane set alight. Her mane now looked like a row of fireballs on her head, shaped like her mane... sorta.
Spike took a fire extinguisher that had been in every corner of the library since the previous Twilight fire accident.
He sprayed it all over Twilight, putting out the fire, saying sadly. "You worked too hard." He then smiled and encouraged her a bit more. "Maybe next time? After a break?"
Twilight groaned, looking up. She then said with a small smile. "Yeah... I'll read some more then continue trying!"
She smiled softly and said "Thanks for the encouragement Spike."
Spike grinned at that and said excitedly. "You're welcome Twi!" then he yelled responding to the second one. "That's the spirit Twi!"
He continued to encourage her, despite her not actually doing any magic at the moment.
Pinkie Pie popped in briefly and said "Hey mister! Stop saying meanie stuff in non-speech! That's mean!"
...She then promptly vanished in a cloud of confetti.
Twilight and Spike shook their heads in confusement, then Twilight trotted over to a nearby bookshelf and started looking through the books, skimming through them, narrating as she went along.
"Guide for dummies; how to do everything... That... was an interesting read but never again... Hunting Ground, Ehh... It was a bit underwhelming.. What about this.. Starswirls guide to the galaxy... The meaning of life is 42... How to build a giant statue of discord... Okay, who put that there?"
She continued looking, grumbling, and narrating more.
"The Moon Cycles... Hm... Lets read that then."
She picked it up and walked to where she was working, and started to read.
However, like last time, she fell asleep half-way through the book.
Twilight snored "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....."
Spike sighed in annoyance and dragged her to bed again, and did his own thing for a while.
Which this time, just happened to be sitting around.
EARTH POV
___________
Connor sighed, in his bedroom, quickly changing into new clothes in case his old ones would get him in trouble, which was likely.
This consisted of a red, velvet shirt with blue stripes on it, a dark purple hoodie with a black zipper, and a pair of black trousers.
His shoes stayed the same.
He started playing video games, which did not consist of your every-day games.
Instead, this consisted of him playing games referencing games that your average gamer wouldn't play, such as Ponytale, Crash Pony, Spike the Dragon.
Who knew why Connor played such... Brony/Pegasister games, but he played them regardless of what people thought.
When he was playing Ponytale, his character would Save and Help the Ponies he met. Most that played this game actually chose to Kill, never Save.
He met characters such as Sares, Larayus, Dyne, and others.
This was one of the funnest games he had played all year, yet it wasn't taken very well by the non-brony/pegasister community.
However, his play style changed obviously when he played Crash Pony. He jumped around on balls that smashed when he jumped on them.
He dodged TNT thrown at him by wolves.
All this time he did so, playing as a Brown, overly happy Pony.
It was a fun game for Connor.
When playing Spike the Dragon, his play style didn't change much from Crash Pony. He ate gems, and used gems to fight the bosses in the levels, and also the enemies in the levels.
This consisted of gems flying like rockets, smashing into rock golems like bullets. These had the effect of doing certain things per gem.
For example, a Sapphire, would freeze the enemy. A Ruby on the other hand would melt the enemy. He had to be careful not to fire Emeralds however, as those healed the enemy. He didn't want that.
These games may be very... Brony/Pegasister based, but they also were inventive, doing things games hadn't really done in the past before.
Such as for Ponytale, it introduced a RPG style game where you did things differently from the others. Saving and Helping the Ponies he met.
For Crash Pony it was a game that went into a fun, but not very used genre.
It was the same for Spike the Dragon, except this was a mix of RPG and Plat-former.
To be continued...
