The Pinkie Pie Parable
The Explosion Ending
Previous ChapterShock, frozen solid, Pinkie found herself unable to move for the longest time. But as she regained her wits, she got up from her desk and walked out of the office.
All of her co-workers were gone. What could it mean? Pinkie decided to go to the meeting room, perhaps she missed a memo.
Pinkie looked all around but she couldn’t find a trace of her co-workers. She went desk to desk, switching on and off the computer screens to see if that would revile anything.
“They have to be here somewhere.” Pinkie said as she looked under each and every desk.
But sadly they weren’t. But If Pinkie would just go to the meeting room, then maybe she could find out more.
Pinkie decided she had, had enough of staling the plot, and walked into a room with two doors. When she entered the room she walked through the left door.
Pinkie went through the left door (surprisingly). She walked down the office halls until she reached the meeting room. Once she reached the meeting room she was shocked to see not a single pony there either.
Pinkie once again insisted to search…every…single…nook and cranny, for some kind of clue. But alas she found nothing, but even though nothing was there she still wanted to look under every chair and every whiteboard…
Pinkie walked out of the meeting room and went to her boss’s office, her boss, Mr Cake would be able to tell her what’s going on!
But Pinkie didn’t do this. She kept looking for something…I don’t even know what she was looking for…There was clearly no clues in here. If she just went to her boss’s office…
Finally, Pinkie gave up her search and walked towards her boss’s office.
When she came to a set of stairs, she went up the stairs to her boss’s office.
Once she reached her boss’s office she was stunned to find that her boss wasn’t here either.
“What is going on?” Pinkie yelled.
She searched round the office, then she noticed something very odd on the wall. A keypad. The kind that would unlock something if the numbers were pressed in the right order. Oh, but what would the code be? Pinkie thought, she rattled her brai- But Pinkie was in such a rush, she put the numbers in and didn’t leave time to just let the narrator talk!
Pinkie was clearly worried about something. We can’t have this kind of stress and anxiety, oh no, no! So let’s relax for a bit and sit down for a little and calm down…But no. Once again, Pinkie was too eager to get on with the story, that she bounced right out of her boss’s office and through the newly opened door.
Pinkie walked through the passage way and spotted a lift, she pressed the button to go down.
On the way down, Pinkie began to think, she felt more free, free to be herself and think about the nature of her job. Why had she never felt like this before? This question would not go unanswered for long.
Pinkie left the lift and walk straight through to the room called ‘Mind Control Facility’ Pinkie entered the room and pushed a button for the lights to come on.
The lights rose on the room. It was filled with enormous screens, what did this all mean? Pinkie wondered, did she have the strength to find out?
Pinkie pressed down on another button and the screens came to life, revealing their true purpose. The screens were monitoring her co-workers work spaces. The lives of so many ponies were reduced to images on a screen, and Pinkie was one of them.
"Hey...Where am I?" Pinkie said as she scanned every single monitor to find her number 427 which was right in front of her.
"I can't see!" She moaned as her eyes darted from each screen, but missing hers which was right before her.
"I'm not there!"
Pinkie! Look in front of you.
And she did. She saw her number and smiled, then gasped.
"I need to get my mum! I'm on T.V!"
...ehm.
But Pinkie didn't have time for that. No, no! She had a story to get too.
A catwalk had lowered...and...Pinkie? Where are you going?
"To get my mum."
No...Pinkie please. I'm trying to show you something nice here, you can't even get out of this office. You'll die here without my help. So let's get back shall we?
Pinkie pie walked back and onto the catwalk. The metal catwalk led to a lift which Pinkie got onto.
As the lift went up, Pinkie begun thinking. This can't be happening! Has my life really been in someone else's hooves the whole time? No! She refused to accepted it.
The lift stopped, and all the proof was laid out in front of her. Buttons surrounded her, they were labeled with emotions and actions, happy, sad, sleeping, eating, working.
Pinkie walked towards the mind control, controls. She would never let another pony be under its control, she would dismantle the machine, and she would be free. Pinkie pie pressed the system off button.
Oh, Pinkie...You didn't just activate the power did you? What did you think that would achieve? Did you want power? I'm afraid you don't really have as much power as you think, you see...
Pinkie just realised that she activated the office self destruct. And the office will blow up from nuclear missiles, in...let's say...thirty seconds..
Ah, there we go! Ha! Look at you Pinkie, you're helpless, you can't do anything now. You think you're so powerful when you throw off my story , you thought you were in control? Well guess what Pinkie. You're not. I am! So in twenty seconds you will be blown into a thousand bits...
But why does it matter. You'll just start back in your office, you'll start the story over and forget everything...That's how it always ends. Oh look at that. Ten seconds left. Well, this has been fun Pinkie...seeing you utterly helpless...Maybe we could do this again next time? What'd you say Pin-
