The young and timid Ichabod Hyde teams up with the determined new Detective Inspector to try and catch a rampaging psychopath. They must dive into mind and writings of this vicious serial murderer in an attempt to bring him to justice.

This story is told from the perspectives of Ichabod, the detective inspector, and the strangler himself.
