Sequel to lost heroes the story is set about 500 years before the birth of Twilight. Sugar Cube is now the royal protector of the fillies of the royal court but Death (fore told by Oblivion) has come to Canterlot. Soon ponies start to fall victim to his power and it's up to Sugar Cube to find the monster and stop him before he tears Canterlot apart from the inside.
