A Heart and A Mender

"Ugh," I sighed as I trotted down the paved road.

Ponies of many different colors passed me, but one in particular caught my eye.

She had a beautiful cream colored coat, with a long pink mane and vibrant teal eyes. As I passed her, my heart fluttered.

Who was she? I thought, still walking on.

Eventually I made it to Los Pegasus High School. I pushed open the gates and hung my head as I entered, hoping no pony would notice me. It was too late.

"Yo! Freak! What'cha doin' at this place?" I heard some pony yell.

I kept plodding on, praying to Celestia that I wouldn't get hurt like last time.

"I'll let you off, blank flank, but you better be here at lunch time!" The ponies that were around us stared at my abuser and I.

The bell rung, signifying that it was school time. I thanked the gods, and ran full speed to my classroom.

"Hello, Mr. Heartmender? You're getting moved from Mathematics to Earth Pony Alchemy." Mrs. Chalkdust said to me as I entered her classroom.

"O-oh, I didn't kn-know." I stuttered and blushed, backing out of the room. Behind me, I heard snickers and whispers of "He s-s-stutters," and "Ha! What a freaky blank flank!"

I ignored them as best as I could, and went to the classroom of Alchemy.

Let's hope I don't buck up like last time... I thought miserably.

It was going to be a long day.
