Demise

Twilight Sparkle still remembers the words of her love when her child was born.

"She's blind." Twilight said angrily.

"She may be blind, but she will be a force to be reckoned with, she may even be the object of your demise." Luna said before she left Twilight and the child.

About 14 years later, chaos struck Equestria. The Princess of Equestria, one who had been previously assumed to be the rational and innocent Princess of Friendship, had killed her eldest daughter, Dusk. Celestia and Luna had both left their powers to somepony. Celestia, assuming Twilight would continue to rule rationally as she had for several years before, left her power to her "Most Faithful Student."

Luna kept her heir, or heiress in this case a secret. In fact, it was the child, the newborn Silent Night, who had gained Luna's abilities.

As the child got older, stars began to appear in her mane. Since Luna was her "father", Twilight assumed nothing of it.

As soon as Dusk Dreamscape was killed, Silent Night had made her decision. She was to leave the castle, rebel against her tyrant mother, save Equestria from her wrath. The Crystal Empire, Cadence's kingdom, had receded from Equestria. Cadence had agreed to allow the Crystal Empire to be part of the Equestria once again, but when and only when Twilight was overthrown. She would do this, not only for her late sister, but for everypony who had suffered during her mother's currupted reign.

Dusk was not the only pony Twilight had as she said "Disposed of." Shining Armor had been killed. Cadence was able to save Flurry, who came out with severe injuries. She, however, passed away a week later. Both deaths devastated the kingdom, and even the princess of love lost the ability to spread affection across Equestria. Even her two other children born to her and Shining Armor, Love Birds and Crystal Bluejay, could see the difference in their mother's demeanor.

Having a hard finding a connection with stallions, Cadence tried something new and married a mare. Her hope had once again risen when she found out that Fluttershy was pregnant. The twins were the saving grace of the empire. Named for the hope they returned to their homeland, the daughter was called Dawn and the son Shining Light, after Shining Armor, the love Cadence had lost.

The rest of the Mane Six remained in Ponyville, in hopes to restore the Twilight Sparkle they knew and loved. Starlight went to live in the Everfree Castle, like most the others, to help build the resistance and assist Princess Silent Night in her efforts to restore Equestria to its former glory.

Silent Night worked hard planning. Sometimes, at night, she'd seek help from Aura and Jay, the daughters of Starlight and Trixie. It is quite difficult to write proclamations for a new kingdom when you can't see to write.

In her free time, Jay had been working hard on a spell. A spell which could bring new light to Silent Night. She wanted to assist Equestria's future queen by taking the efficiency of her efforts to the next level.

Now, let's explore how this particular day began...the day Silent Night became the savior of her subjects.

"Being adventurous like Uncle Shining today?" Twilight asked her daughter, speaking in a voice she did to both her fillies when they were foals. Out of instinct, she stroked her daughter's mane.

Smacking her mother's hoof away, Silent Night replied, "No mother. Adventuring applies I'm coming back. I'm leaving."

Twilight became enraged. "Leaving?! How dare you disobey my orders?!"

Silent continued walking. "You never told me I couldn't leave you to your own despicable devices." Silent reached the door. "Goodbye mother!" she said as she slammed the door behind her. To her demise, it missed her mother's face, but this was the least of her worries. She was going to overthrow her mother, and it was going to happen tonight.
