Previous ChapterSilent sighed. "Equestria needs me to do this...I need to make it to the castle." Panting, she found where the castle used to stand. "W...Where is it?"
Silent legs shook from underneath her. Not only had she spent her whole day gathering supplies, while trying to stay one step ahead of her mother, but she had to navigate the forest as well. She looked to the sky, "How am I going to make it through this?"
That was when she came. "Do not fear, child. Your efforts will succeed."
Startled, Silent gazed around herself, attempting to locate the source of the voice. "Who are you?" Silent finally gazed up towards the luminous moon. " Princess Luna?"
"Indeed. Starlight Glimmer was a very intelligent mare to execute this spell. For all your mother knows, this island fell into the sea long ago" Silent watched as Luna used what little magic she had left to lift the spell, revealing the castle.
"Starlight Glimmer was smart to use this spell. To your mother's knowledge, the small island that once stood here is part of the river now."
Silent chuckled. "She's not as sharp as she used to be."
"I will agree. If she was anything like who she was when I wed her, Equestria would not be this way."
"So...is that why you're here?" Silent asked, attempting to ask her questions as politely as possible.
"No, my young one, I'm here for you. You needed help."
"Yes...thank you for everything!" Silent blinked. "Mother?"
Fading cautiously walked into the city, watching the invisibility spell reform behind her.
"S...Silent?"
A familiar voice called from behind her. "Silent Night?"
"Bluejay?" She said, turning around. She felt her eyes water up as she saw someone very important to her.
Her first crush.
Jay glomped Silent, almost as hard as another special day the two had endured, which is a story for another time. Jay held Silent in her embrace for what seemed to be hours.
Cosmic walked up to see what the commotion was all about. "Jay please tell me that's..." She cut herself off at the sight of Silent. "That's not who I thought that was..." Cosmic walked away slowly, which led into a run.
"Say a word to anyone Cosmia, and you'll regret it." Bluejay seemed intimidating to some ponies. Silent was not one of them.
Bluejay gave Silent one look, and knew exactly what she'd came for. "I know that look in your eyes. You have a plan."
Silent nodded. "So...I was thinking..."
