Previous ChapterNext ChapterCharles eye's shoot open, His body trembling with fear. His body drench in sweat. After finally releasing it was all a dream he sighed in relief, taking in the soft sweet smell of the confronting air. He looked around. Confused, his eyes observed the setting. Taking in only that he was some where in a forest like area full of apple trees by the looks of it. Charles got up on his four legs. noticing, a few strange changes in his body; First off he could swore that he had two legs not four, his body seemed to be covered in some sort of dark red fur.
"What a dream." he whispered to himself placing his hoof on his head.
When lowering his hoof he noticed a strange symbol craved into his skin. It was shaped as a fire ball, with a small circle in the middle.
"What does it mean, and why is it carved into my skin." He thought to himself.
There always seemed to be questions, but no answers. He looked around hoping to find some sort of civilization. The only present was apple trees, and the soft green grass. With a sigh, he looked up at the clear beautiful blue sky, barley able to take notice of his growling stomach. The scent of apple in the refreshing air made his mouth water. He looked up at the fully grown trees that bared a beautiful shade of red balls that hanged from the trees.
With a growing sense hunger, Charles impatiently tried to climb the enormous tree's branches. With his clumsy footing and lack in fingers, He quickly found himself with a mouth full of grass. Landing face first into the unforgiving earth. It didn't take long for him to feel the rush of pain in his face and upper torsos.
"Ok tree you won that one." he growled.
Once again Charles attempted to climb the huge tree again. Trying a new technique, he wrapped one his limbs around the limb of the tree. Pulling his way up one of the branches snapped cause him to fall back onto the harden ground. Slowly, he got up from the so call soft grass that barely help ease the fall.
He looked up at the tree. Carefully, he placed one hoof on a near by branch. Pulling himself up and threw his other hoof onto another near by branch trying to balance out the weight so it wouldn't snap. Pulling himself on a near by branch to rest, he was finally high enough to reach one of the dozens of apples on the tree. Smiling, Charles picked the ripest and biggest apple he could reach. balancing his weight on a branch, his relaxed body ready to sink his teeth into the sweet red ball.
"What ya doing up there in my tree!" shouted a near by voice catching Charles off guard.
Charles, lossing his balance, fell from the tree landing on the harsh ground. His body swelled up with pain, and dirt stained his dark red fur. He opened one eye to see a freckled face, emerald eye, orange colored horse, with a cowboy hat standing right above him.
"For F**k sack," whined Charles spitting out a mouth full of dirt," why couldn't you just give me a sign or spoke in a normal voice like a normal person , I just got up there."
"Well I grew them here Apple trees, so ya better quite your complain ya rotten little thief!" she replied in a aggressive tone.
"Look miss, I'm many things, but a thief ain't one of them!" He barked back.
"Oh, so ya saying them here apples have been eating them self for the past six days." She argued.
Charles got rid of the dirt in his eyes, and got up from the green grass. The apple land right next to the in print of his body in the "soft" flexible grass. His fur was covered in sweat, dirt, grass, and God knows what else, and his eye's where irritated with the second wave of dirt.
"Look miss, not that didn't mean to show any hostility to you, but I didn't eat your stupid apples, I just got up there!" he barked getting up on his four limbs.
"Well then, who did!" She barked back.
"I sure as hell don't know who didn't, but I know i didn't, so goodbye cowgirl!" He yelled mocking her voice.
He turned around avoiding her hostile gaze. Hoping to as far away from the deranged horse as he could. She began to yell at him telling him to come back or else. Ignoring the crazy female horse, he keep walking away from her. Until he felt something tight around his neck, yanking him back towards her. The thing around his neck tighten with every ounce of resistance he applied.
"Well if ya ain't willing to work for stealing, then I'll force ya." She growled.
"Sure you will." He responded gasping for breath.
He kicked the insane horse in the knee, causing her legs to clumsily give into her weight. She screamed in pain as Charles untried the role around his neck. He looked back at the horse. Giving her a cocky smile acompany with wink, but she returned the favor. By slamming her hoof up against his family jewels. A rush of pain ripped up his spine, causing him to scream out in pain. He fell onto the ground moaning in pain.
"Out of all places, you had to hit that one." He whimpered covering his family tree.
"Don't feel so good now, does it stallion." She mocked him." By the way ma name is Applejack."
Charles whimpered in response. She kicked him onto his back, and tied his four hoofs together. She then dragged him across the dirt floor hitting rocks, tree roots, and what ever else was on the ground. The only thing he could see was the sky and the almost endless amount of trees that laid ahead. The beating sun burned his pelt as she dragged him across the filthy earth.
