A Rough Day

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

After a hour or so of staring at the blue sky, and the endless amount of bashing and hitting any sort of objects in the way. Did Applejack finally decided to stop. His body ached in pain, and the scorching heat from the sun made his the fur on his body feel sticky and wet. Charles looked over his tied hoofs to see a large house with a farm next to it. Applejack walked into the front door of the house, leaving him outside by himself. Quickly, he look around for anything sharp to cut the rope. He was able to spot a ax, but the problem was that it was way too far for him to reach. He sighed resting his head on the soft green grass.

"What a great day to be me." He sighed quietly to himself.

He began to try to think his way out. After a few minutes of thinking of a escape plan, which felt like ages did he thought of something. If he could just reach the rope. He could attempt to bite threw it, or weakening enough to where he could break it. It wasn't a flawless plan, but it's better than nothing. He began to try and reach the rope with his teeth. He exuded his neck trying to reach the rope. After many trails and errors was he finally successful. His teeth clamped down hard on the foul tasting leather like substance. Did he began to grind his teeth against the strengthen fibers. Slowly, it loosen until a hung chunk of it snapped off. The foul taste of the fiber lingered in his throat.

"That's a taste I'll never get out of my moath." He whispered spitting out the remaining fibers.

He got up on his four legs, just in time to see Applejack walk out of the house with a little horse on her side. She stared at him in disbelief, surprised that he was able to escape.

"Well Applejack, looks like you made it just in time to see me make a run for it." He called.

He bolted away from the house. Applejack quickly chased after him. He ran through the endless amount of Apple trees, dodging and jumping over what ever got in his way. He looked over his shoulder to see Applejack follow right behind him.

"Time to loose this try hard." He grinned scoping the scene.

He spotted a rough stretch of land. Quickly he bolted to the right of a apple tree. He made a run for it with Applejack right on his tail. His breath was fast and steady. They approach the rough stretch of land and fast. Charles jump over the root of a over grown tree, landing on his four limbs perfectly. Then swiftly he dodged the two enormous trees that land in front of him. Jumping over there over sized roots landing onto the soft grass. His body quickly shifted to the left to dodge a huge boulder that blocked his path. He looked over his shoulder to see Applejack out of sight.

He grinned thinking that he lost her, only to collided with some sort of object. He fell onto the rough soil. His back scraping along The rough terrain. He moaned as the a figure appear above him. His pelt was a reddish color, with a orange mane, his eye's was a the same emerald color as Applejacks. Behind him Applejack appeared.

"Well, looks like we got a runner." She gasped for breath." Thanks big brother."

"Your welcome sis." He nodded.

"Why does everyone here have to get in the way." Charles moaned in pain rolling onto the side of his belly.

"Need any help big brother, 'my friend here' wouldn't mind helping ya out since he has so much energy." She offered.

"Not really little sis, everything is just about raped up." he answered looking back towards a wagon full of apples.

"How about there wagon, he could pull it back to the farm, give ya old back a rest." She suggested.

Charles looked over to the wagon. He could help, but feel tease about the idea of pulling a cart full of apples across half the land in the blistering hot heat. Just the thought of it maybe his body ach.

"Well.. I guess it wouldn't hurt to let him try." He responded rubbing the back of his head.

"Show any resistance, and I'll make sure that y'all get the proper punishment." She whispered into his ear placing her hoof in between his two back legs.

Charles gulped at the response. He felt Applejack pick him up from the filthy ground, and shove him toward the wagon. Obeying to her every command, once she was done tying the hundred pound wagon to his back did she allow him to move.

"All right stallion follow me back to the farm." She grinned.

Charles gave her a annoyed look. He pulled the what felt like two thousand tons of apples, toward Applejack follow her every footstep for what felt like hours. The heat from the heat from the beating sun burned his exposed back. His muscle ached with every step, and sweat covered his entire body. Applejack looked back at him, giving him amusement of how he was coping with the objective. She slowed down just a little to speak with him.

"Well how ya doing." She mocked.

Charles didn't responded.

"I'm doing fine, even though I did have to chase you down about half way across the field." She continued. "Don't worry we have about a hour left to go, until we reach our destination."

Charles gulped in response as the words two hours echoed in his ears. Two more hours of pulling two tons worth of apples across a field with the scorching heat . The only thing shielding him from the burning gaze of the sun was the apple trees, but even they annoyed him as the twinges and sharp rocks cut his legs up like swish cheese.

"How long do I have to do this." Charles asked.

"Hmm, I don't know about two weeks." she shrugged.

"Two weeks, I'll be died by then." He thought to himself.
