Journey Through the Glade of Dreams

Not Again!                        Narrator: Sonic

The past few months have been AMAZING! It all started when my world and Equestria combined. I was the first to show and, Rainbow, Twilight, Fluttershy, Rarity, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie helped me gather the chaos emeralds, in order to save my friends and our joined world. In the end we defeated Eggman, my old foe, and Chrysalis, the changeling queen.

        Since then Tails, Amy (the little stocker), and I have lived in Ponyville. My other friends all do their own things. Knuckles still guards the master emerald on the floating island and Shadow still works for G.U.N. Eggman hasn’t shown his face since the crossover, and is probably plotting something. (Not that it matters, my friends and I’ll stop him same as always)

        We got all of the emeralds again, making sure to keep them away from the Elements of Harmony until we need the super emeralds, and tails has been planning to do something with them. Not that I don’t trust him, I do consider him my brother and he thinks of me as his, but I’m kind of worried about that. The Chaos emeralds are just that, Chaotic. That doesn’t mean there bad just kind of hard to control.

        The ponies here in Ponyville are really nice. They welcomed us without a second thought, and get along well with my older friends. Twilight and Tails got along well, but that’s not a surprise to me considering they’re both really smart and helpful. Applejack and Knuckles got off to a really rocky start, AJ constantly poked fun at the short tempered echidna but, after a while they got along swimmingly. Pinkie gets along with everyone! It’s really hard not to like her; even Shadow sometimes can’t help but smile when she’s in the room, not that he’ll ever admit it. Speaking of him I was surprised to see him and Fluttershy getting along as well as they do. He probably just likes the fact that she’s fairly serine compared to the rest of us, not that that’s saying much. Rarity and Amy are pretty good friends. They often hang out with Cream the Rabbit, who visits often. As for me, I spend a lot of time with Dash. Well she and Tails to be more precise, and Twilight is usually with us. I’ve really started to think of Dash in much the same way I do Tails as a sibling. I have no idea if she feels the same about me, but it doesn’t matter, she’s a great friend.

        Oh boy, Tails called Rainbow and I over to help oversee the test of his new experiment, and it did not end well. Let me start from the beginning, it turns out that Tails’ new invention used the Chaos Emeralds (though he plans to switch to chaos drives for the commercial models) to boost a unicorns magic, which Twilight has helped him study. They even went to Celestia’s library in Canterlot! So he had Twilight use her magic to test it, and Dash and I were called to oversee it.

        Tails’ lab is on the outskirts of Ponyville. The hum of computers can always be heard in the well-lit area. Equipment was scattered about. We stood in a clearing among the clutter. Tails was monitoring statistics on his handheld as the rest of us looked around and all the impressive and complicated looking machinery. In front of us was a large shiny metal cube.

“Is everyone ready?” Tails asked.

“I’m good.” I confirmed.

“Yeah.” Rainbow replied.

“All set.” Twilight responded.

“Great! Then try to lift that block.” He remarked.

“Doesn’t seem so hard.” Twilight’s horn glowed a familiar shade of lavender, and so did the cube. It didn’t budge. She put even more effort into it; her horn glowed brighter, but still nothing. “Geez what’s that thing made of?” Twilight panted after giving up.

“Well the inside is a 3X3X3 block of obsidian, and it’s covered in a 3 foot thick titanium alloy shell.” He informed.

“Dude, how do you even get a hold of that stuff?” Dash asked.

“It’s not easy.” Tails replied. “Anyways, let me hook you up to the machine.” Tails ran to a huge computer with a cone shaped attachment on it. He grabbed the cone and attached it to Twilight’s horn. “Now try it.”

“Alright but I don’t feel any different.” Both the cube and Twi’s horn lit up again, however the cube lifted off the ground. “Oh my Celestia, it works!”

Dash was awestruck.

“Great job buddy!” I congratulated, with a thumbs up.

“Thanks!” Tails turned to Twilight. “How difficult would you say this is?”

“About the same as lifting up a book!” Twilight was elated.

“Seems stable,” Tails studied his handheld. “Now try teleporting us to Canterlot. I should be able to call in the Tornado from anywhere we may end up.”

“I’ll try.” Twilight set the block down and focused. Her horn was once again ablaze. The aura covered the group.  Soon there was a White flash. After the flash, we were all dazed, but more importantly we were falling into a forest.

“Not again!” I exclaimed. I’m starting to get sick of falling from dizzying heights. Soon my hand met another pair. I look up to see Tails spinning his namesakes to hover us down. “Thanks, Tails!”

“I will never understand how you do that.” Rainbow called out as she flew next to us with a dizzy Twilight in tow. Soon we touched down and a new adventure was bound to begin.
