It was early winter and at Sweet Apple Acres Applejack opened the front door from their farm house. She was groggy from the other night, where Pinkie thru the biggest party she had ever did in years. She yawned but was startled half way from the sound of something falling in the barn. She trotted towards the barn hoping it wasn't something important. She peeked her head in trying to find the cause of the ruckus. However what she saw was a stallion moving awkwardly, in some kind of bent movement.

Instantly she thought the figure was injured, so she pushed the door open slightly. She quickly let go of the barn door as her eyes grew wide. The stallion's body moved like liquid as it changed just for a few seconds, shifting into a two headed pony with a dragon wing down it's back and Griffin claws. She was disgusted and terrified of the entity standing unknowingly behind her.

The sun had just risen to the right spot for the sun to bounce off it. Giving it a blood red and black slime or some other kind of liquid texture. Her heart started to beat as fast as Rainbowdash could fly, just because it stopped moving. Something was teling her to stay to observe it, despite her mind telling her to look away.

The creature then began to chuckle, it was dark and sinister in tone. The entity started to shift it's design yet again, but this time it was that of a unicorn. Yet the unicorn was equivalent to Celestria's height. The creature still had that unnatural liquid like form slightly bending itself.

Applejack was about to flee when, it called out to her or at least she thought it was talking about her "Enjoyed the show, Honesty?". Then it started to turn it's head to glare at her. There was a dark sinister smile showing sets of sharp bear like teeth, and the worst part was it's eyes or eye. It had a simple crimson red eye on it's right side of the face while where there should be another was blackness. Applejack was now frozen where she stood, not making the slightest movement. The creature began to chuckle once more as it started to take a step towards her.

"What are you?" she blurted out from her frighten prison like state. The creature only seemed to be amused by her reaction.

"What am I, now that is a great question!" it said as it slunk closer to Applejack. Suddenly the next thing she knew she was being dragged away with great force by somepony.

The creature hissed and began to chase them, Applejack had to force her head up to see the unknown assailant. Her savior was a stallion due to his body's shape and ability to carry her with such strength and speed. However she couldn't figure out who he was other than his gender because he was wearing a brown cloak similar to that of Zecora's.

Applejack finally snapped out of her stone like trance and started galloping along with the mysterious stallion. They had out run the monster and began to rest just across the bridge from the entrance of Ponyvile. Applejack was fixated on the pony who had saved her from a possible dangerous attacker. "What was that thing, who are you and how did you know to save me from it?" Applejack said gaining the stallion's attention.

The Stallion looked at her and removed his hood "I'm Pr... Soul, and I've been fighting this monster for years." The stallion had a white coat, his mane was brown and his eyes were a bright blue that glowed. "That monster doesn't have a name, trust me I tried to find it for years" he said with disgust in his voice. Applejack quickly watched his body motions seeing him tense up as he scan the area. Suddenly she thought about her family and friends, how it pose a threat to them. "Don't worry your family wont be harmed by that thing, it wants you and the other Elements of Harmony. Now lets get you out of here before its to late..." the stallion said just noticing that mare had began galloping into town.

Applejack had to warn her friends before the monster could harm them or take whatever it wanted from them. As she was passing buildings by she noticed that the town seemed quiet, nothing could be heard except for the wind. It gave her an eerie feeling, suddenly she caught sight of Twilight's castle. She quickly started banging on the doors, trying to wake up, Spike, Twilight or even Starlight. Yet there was nothing complete silence, till she heard Spike from behind.

He was standing in the middle of the street, along with Twilight and Starlight. She was confused on why they were not in the castle this early, but she didn't care she had to warn Twilight. Twilight and her friends turn to see Applejack dashing to wards them with fearful and worried eyes. "Oh, hi Applejack what's got you stirred up?" inquired Twilight.

"Twilight, we're in trouble there's some kind of creature after us" the orange mare claimed trying to catch her breath.

"A monster? and its after us, how did you come to across it?" Twilight questioned

"You see I heard a noise and I went to check it, then I saw the creature. It was like nothing I ever saw before, and it shaped shifted. It was coming towards me and I couldn't move, but luckily I was saved by somepony who informed me of it's goal" she explained.

Twilight began rubbing her chin with her hoof, obviously processing this bit of information. "Where is the pony that saved you?" Starlight asked. Suddenly Applejack realized that she left Soul behind to warn her friends.

"Oh no, I left him at the bridge leading into town" she winced. "We should go get this pony, for any other information he probably didn't mention" Twilight informed.

"Yes but first we need to warn the others before they get attacked by the creature." Applejack said as she began to notice the town was still strangely lifeless.

"Spike go find Rarity and get her to the castle, Starlight go get everypony else. I need to write to Celestia about what you can tell me of this monster Applejack." Twilight exclaimed.

Right before they could go their separate ways; a blast of bright blue magic hit Twilight, Spike and Starlight at once sending them back. Applejack flung her head back to gaze upon Soul from afar galloping towards them. "What the hay, is wrong with you? You hurt my friends" she yelled with fury. He wasn't paying any attention to her instead he was getting ready to fire again. Applejack turned to her friends, and to her surprise they weren't her friends.

Their bodies were just like them but their eyes were just like the monster's crimson red. They talked in sync "Soul you cant stop me, your're just stalling the inevitable". Soul was only shooting short blast at them, yet his blast of magic hardly slowed them down. Suddenly doors from each building started to open up as other ponies with the monster's red and black eyes appeared.

Their coats and manes were becoming darker and darker each second. Soul yet out a scream of pain as chains of pure shadow grabbed a hold of him; pulling him into the crowd of the monster ponies. "I failed you, just like I failed her..." Soul cried in defeat. Causing the monsters to chuckle.

This cant be real Applejack thought as she was mere seconds till she would be engulfed by them. Suddenly Everything went black. Nothing but darkness surrounded her. Then a red pupil less eye appeared and it was focus on her. "Now where were we?" it asked deviously. The eye shifted to her left causing her to face it. "Ah, yes what am I?" he paused for a second before continuing. "I'm a reflection from another world, and I have plans. Tell me do you rember anything about this morning. Before me maybe what you did?" it said with sly in tone.

Applejack quickly tried to remember this morning before meeting the creature. "I remember looking at myself in a mirror like I usually do before breakfast" she said not able to think of anything else.

"What if I tell you that you never left that mirror and that this is all in the mirror world where I live in" it said as a door appeared in front of her.

"That cant be true what of Soul how could he not be real" she protested.

The creature growled in anger "Soul is just a poor love sick weakling, that is trapped in here with me. He can never escape this reaml, not because of that mare who trapped him here. Now leave my realm". With that Applejack was launched thru the door.

Applejack blinked her eyes before she realized that she was back home staring into the mirror deeply.
