Team Scrouge

"Master Discord, you cannot release all the gems! It will destroy Equestria. Don't let my powers of destruction take over you," Legion worried as his master continued to push him aside to make room for the other fairy-like creatures that were in the room.

"Legion, I must harness the powers of each Skystar," Discord rumbled as he picked up Equip's gem with his magic, all of the gems were now on a necklace that hung loosely on a coat rack.

"Now, that I have all of the Skystars I can make myself the most powerful unicorn of Equestria!" Screamed Discord as he began to put on the necklace. "Now, Legacy, Legion, Equip, Osirus, Siole, and Asaban. Transform me!" Discord yelled as he started to transform, instead of an all-powerful unicorn he thought he was going to be, he started to change into something different. His hoof started to turn into a mountain lion's paw while his other hoof turned into a snowy owl's leg. "Wha-what's going one?!" He yelled as a black void took over his body.

"D-discord? Stop! Don't use all the gems at o-" A loud scream erupted from the unicorn in front of Celestia. Discord began to grow, his normal pony figure began to violently change, his torso turned into a long furry body as he started to grow two different antlers on his head. "Discord!" Celestia yelled as the before unicorn went mad with power.

Discord groaned as he fell to the ground, his body was hurting in an enormous amount of pain. "C-Celestia..." He muttered, "help m-me..." He pleaded as the gems started to break into little pieces. "T-the pain..."

It was either Discord or the gems. Celestia had to chose. See what happens in the next article from Equestria History! Tales of Team Scrouge!

"Are you kidding me!" A loud scream erupted from the castle as a little baby dragon began to pace around the lobby.

"What's wrong Spike? Is there no food? Did I miss something on a list?" A lavender alicorn asked as she rushed down the crystal castle stairs towards the commotion that was going on in her living room.

"No, my comic left it off with a cliffhanger." Spike sighed while looking at his comic, he paused for a moment and looked at Twilight.

"Well, maybe you should be reading the real Equestrian history instead of a comic, don't you think Spike?" Twilight said in a motherly tone while looking at Spike with a stern look. At that moment, Spike's face lit up with a spark of idea.

"Wait a moment, you're a princess Twilight! You can get the next edition of my comic, can you get it? Please," Spike asked as he lifted up his finished comic in his claws.

Twilight sighed as she took the comic from Spike's claws with her magic and looked at the back. "I'll take a look. Let me check what's the next edition of your little article..." She said as she began to inspect the magazine.

"It is not an 'article', it's a comic," Spike said as he stood tall and looked over Twilight's shoulder to see what she was doing. Her eyes inspected the comic's back as Spike followed her eyes around the comic, trying to find out what she was doing.

"Spike? Why does it say that all this information in the article is confirmed by Celestia?" Twilight asked as she pointed at tiny words under the comic's small label, barely recognizable to the normal pony eye.

"I don't know. Ask her yourself," Spike said while looking over Twilight's shoulder. "It's probably something fake anyways. You know, like some of the information on Rarity's drama magazines, like 'Octavia cheats on Vinyl with Neon Lights, see Vinyl's reaction on page 23'. But everyone knows that's fake."

"If it said something like that in a magazine like this without a witness that it would be propaganda, with Rarity's article it's not because there is inside information or an unknown witness," Twilight explained. "This article would already be discontinued if it's fake. Someone would've found it before me, I'll ask Celestia about this to see if she knows about this, it could even be true you know," Twilight said, plucking Spike off her back with a bit of magic. "Spike, I need you to write to Celestia, see if she knows about this."

"Really, can't you at least get the next issue?" Spike moaned.

"Later Spike, now get to writing."

Dear Princess Celestia,

By any chance do you know anything about an article called "Equestria History! Tales of Team Scrouge?" It says that it got all of it's information from you? I'm wondering if that's true or this article is completely fake. If so, we need to discontinue the article.

"Alright Spike, send this please," Twilight said as she gave the baby dragon the scroll so he could wisp it away to the castle. Spike took the scroll with Twilight's letter and blew a bit of his green fire on it and transported it to Celestia's castle with a grumpy face.

About five minutes later of Spike being interrupted and Twilight pacing around, panicking about what to say to the ponies who created the article.

"Okay, now can you get the ne-" Spike failed to speak once again as another letter instantly plopped out of his jaws with a "bleh" sound. "Well, here's your letter, can we get the comic now?"

"Let me read it first Spike, settle down," Twilight responded as she picked the letter up in her magic and began reading while Spike mumbled something and stood behind Twilight to get a glimpse at the letter, only to be pushed back by Twilight and magically thrown into the kitchen.

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

THIS IS FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, DESTROY THIS LETTER AFTER IT IS READ.

Indeed yes, those facts are all true. No one really looks at the bottom and the creators couldn't make the comic without me giving them permission to do so. My student, if you had read the article you'll know there are six gems. We call the Skystars, each Skystar gives a power to its user, the original users of each Skystar were me, Princess Luna, Starswirl, Waterwirl, Broken Knight and Discord.

I believe you've heard of Broken Knight, my most faithful knight that was unfortunately slain by Discord after he was made into a huge monster. Waterwirl was Starswirl's brother, he held device of Starswirl's spells and the gem chose him for braveness. The main two gems were mine, the gem of the fire dragon, and Discord's, the gem of the frost dragon.

I'll talk to you later. The gems have been lost for a long time, I'll be at your house ten minutes after you get this letter.

"Spike! Can you help me clean up some of the mess here? Celestia's coming over," I said as Twilight hurried to get some of the books in the correct place while Spike just gave her a deadpan look.

"Fine, want me to get some cushions or something?" He asked as he walked back to the living room from the kitchen to see Twilight lighting the letter on fire with a bit of magic.

"What are you doing?" Spike asked as Twilight took the ashes and dumped them into the trash can in the kitchen.

"Nothing!" She said quickly as she pushed him back into the kitchen.

"Okay, yeah sure bring cushions, just do it fast, the princess'll be here in-" Twilight was cut off with a big flash as somepony teleported into her castle, with inexcusably scared the ponyfeathers out of her.

"Hello my student," Celestia said as she appeared in Twilight's living room. "It's about time I told you about the six Skystars," she whispered.

Twilight was still dazed by the sudden flash and Celestia's unfortunate habit of being very early.

"W-what?! So soon? I need to take notes, Spike! Get a scroll and a quill, I'll need them to record all this down to tell my friends. Oh! My friends, can they know about this- never mind, they must know about this!" Twilight yelled, frantically running across her living room while Celestia just chuckled.

"What now," Spike asked, clearly annoyed.

"Twilight, this is for your ears only. Now, I shall be telling you about the six gems and how if one got in the wrong hooves it could change the whole entire Equestria. You might want to stall spike a bit by the way," Celestia whispered in Twilight's ear as Twilight's eyes widened and she stopped with a halt.

"SPIIIKE, get some tea for me and Celestia, please. Also, make a couple biscuits!" Twilight yelled to her assistant and smiled as Celestia and gave her a look as if it say 'is that alright?'

Celestia just nodded and began her tale.

"Long ago, when Starswirl was still young, me, him and Discord found these gems each with a small fairy like animal resting upon them. They were called Legacy, the fire-creation dragon. Legion, the frost-destruction dragon. Equip, the light fox. Osirus, the dark snowy owl. Siole the peace snow leopard and Asaban, the war mountain lion." Celestia explained.

"Woah, that's a lot to take in... But just a question, where are they now?" Twilight asked as she twiddled her hooves as Celestia shot back an amused look with a snort.

"Ah, you know how you went to the other dimension?" Celestia asked as Twilight gave her a confused look.

"Of course, where I met Sunset Shimmer and the rest of my friends in their human form. I remember completely, but what does that have to do with the Skystars?" Twilight asked.

"Well, after realizing that the gems were not safe in Equestria the Skystar protectors, the fairy-like creatures I told you about, took the gems away from Equestria after realizing it wasn't safe and wasn't needed here. They all left with their gems and went through the portal, hoping to find ponies with the purest hearts to give them too." Celestia explained once again as Twilight only met her calm gaze with a gaze of utter confusion.

"So, you're saying that the Skystar gems are in Sunset Shimmer's world? Tha-that's fascinating. I must write to Sunset Shimmer to make sure that she knows about this, maybe she even knows someone who has one of the gems!" Twilight said excitedly.

"Possibly, but I doubt it. If she was wearing one of those gems she would probably act a bit strange around you depending on what gem she found," Celestia questioned.

"Why would that be?" Twilight asked. Trying, but failing, to not seem completely interested.

"Well even when the user of the Skystar is not in what we used to call 'Sky Vortex,' they were about to use a power that not even alicorns could be able to do by just wearing a Skystar in general."

"Such as...?" Twilight asked, making a hoof gesture to say 'go on'.

"Well, wearing the Skystar of the black dragon, the Skystar that I used to own, it would give the use mind reading abilities, so you could read whomever's mind you wished too. While Discord's Skystar, the Skystar if the white dragon, gave the user the ability to look into the future, but it's uncontrollable when they get visions. Meaning they can see what to do right most of the time if they get the correct prophecy," Celestia explained as Twilight looked up from her note taking and shot Celestia another look. Celestia laughed at her student's complete confusion to what she was explaining.

"Go on..." Twilight muttered, trying to take as many notes as possible as she swept her quill against the scroll that was resting neatly in her magic.

"Hm, well the Skystar of the light fox had the ability to make ponies freeze for a matter of minutes, around one to four from the time Starswirl used it."

"Wait a moment. Starswirl had the a the Skystar of the light fox?" Twilight said, slightly dazed to know her idol was able to make anypony freeze in time whenever he wanted them too.

"Indeed, my student, though he didn't use to for harm. In fact, he barely used the power unless something crucial was happening and strongly needed his and Equip's powers," Celestia said.

"What abo-" Twilight was cut off by Celestia as an amber glow surrounded her muzzle.

"Moving on, Osirus the snowy owl. He granted the power to make the user take sky for their advantage. He let you control where the clouds were and even helped Waterwirl prank Luna many times by rearranging the stars that she had put up. He could change anything in the sky, if you wanted it to hail, he could make it hail," Celestia said with a smile as Spike began to walk into the room again with some tea and a couple of biscuits.

"Who's Waterwirl?" He asked as he took a biscuit for himself and put the teacup in Twilight's hoof and handed Celestia her own.

"Starwirl's brother." Celestia said matter-of-factly as if she was just talking about Starswirl and not one of the most powerful gems in the world that were in a different dimension.

"Fair enough," Spike said as he looked over to Twilight who looked at him, snout still glowing with an amber aura as Celestia have them both a devilish smile and let Twilight's snout go from her magic.

"Spike do you need a nap? Oh, of course, you need a name here I'll put you in bed," she said quickly as she picked Spike up in her magic grabbed his basket, again with her magic, and put Spike in his basket and flew him upstairs with a small muffled yell from Spike.

"Well, shall I continue?" Celestia said with a small laugh as Twilight's eyes were still looking up the stairs where Spike should be.

"Please do," Twilight responded with a flick of her tail and sat down again.

"Well, now there is the Skystar of the peace snow leopard named Siole. She was the kindest out of the six fairy-like creatures-" Celestia was cut off by Twilight who gave her another confused look.

"Why do you call them 'fairy-like creatures?" She asked.

"Well, we didn't have a name for them so we just called them fairy-like creatures. We just called them that for the longest time I can remember. Now, to Siole's power. She was able to make wounds heal, not completely but more than any doctor could. A deadly wound would take her used about ten minutes to heal if they channeled their full energy into it," Celestia said with a smile and a flick of her ear.

"Really! That's impossible," Twilight responded. Celestia thought her eyes couldn't get any wider, she stood corrected.

"Almost impossible," Celestia corrected. "Would you like to hear about the last Skystar?" She asked as Twilight just smiled and shot another look as if to say 'would I!?'

"Yes please," Twilight said almost like a foal waiting for a toy on Heartswarming.

"Well, the Skystar of the war mountain lion, Asaban, gave the user the power to never be beaten in battle unless they let their enemy beat them. It's a very useful power that we gave to Broken Knight at the time she was alive, she was a unicorn who was also one of my students," Celestia said.

"She was attempting to work on a spell to make herself immortal so she could protect Canterlot for eternity with Asaban, unfortunately, she was slain by Discord in his rein of terror," Celestia explained, eyes slightly watering from remembering her past student.

"Wow! So they're in Sunset Shimmer's world? So I might be able to contact Sunset right now and see if she can search for them and do some possible research, correct?" Twilight asked and jumped out of her chair and began to pace around while Celestia just nodded.

"So I could go there and see if I can help?" Twilight asked her mentor hopefully as Celestia gave her a look that she couldn't really read.

"No Twilight, if you do that you would leave your kingdom and your friends again. That's not a good idea. Maybe later when you have fewer duties on your hands currently."

"But I'm not doing anything at the moment," Twilight whined as Celestia gave her a look that looked like a mother scowling her foal.

"Twilight, Winter Wrap Up is in a few days, you need to get ready for that. Like I said, maybe later when you have that off your hooves," Celestia said while looking outside.

"I'll just have to write to Sunset. I'll go get your book, it's in my room give me a moment," Twilight said in a hurry as she raced to get her book while Celestia just nodded and looked around the castle.

About three minutes later Twilight came back with a quill, a new jar of ink and a book that had Celestia's cutie mark imprinted on it. "Alright, what do you think I should say, Princess?" Twilight asked while dipping her quill in the new set of ink and placing it lightly on the book.

"You should just write about the gems and what I've told you. I can also write a little bit if you want me too. I believe she'll be I'm writing to her," Celestia said while looking again and finding another quill to write with.

"Oh of course."

"Let us begin then."

Dear Sunset Shimmer,

Hey, Sunset! Sorry for not writing you for so long but I've been talking to Celestia about something I found in one of Spike's comics. They're called Skystars, a Skystar is a gem that is colored in different colors but each sort of shaped differently. They could've changed over one and a half thousand years, though.

From my research they might look like the gems the Dazzlings had if you remember what they looked like. So basically each gem is owned by a fairy-like creature, each having a different name.

One, a black dragon that goes into a black Skystar. Two, a white dragon that goes into a white Skystar. Three, an orange fox that goes into an orange Skystar. Four, a light gray snowy owl that goes into a light gray Skystar. Five, a snow leopard that goes into a light navy blue Skystar. Six, a pale mountain lion that goes into a pale Skystar.

Hello Sunset Shimmer, it's Celestia. I want you to know that I miss you in Equestria and I am so sorry for hurting you. I want you to look for these six Skystars, they are very powerful but when from Twilight came to your world and told me about it I figured that nobody had found it yet. Now that you know about it, I think you'll probably have a good idea where to find these rare gems.
