Chapter 2 : Risque Business

“Callum I’ve left you a few books to help you catch up on Equestrian policies.”

Celestia’s voice reverberating through my ears was enough to wake me from my sleep. The sunlight was focused through columns accrossed my body. I looked to my right and noticed about 3 intimidating stacks of books. I sat up on the mattress and unleashed a mighty yawn which woke Twilight in the process. She yawned and stretched before fully acknowledging the bookish skyscrapers. She let out an enthusiastic squeal, which made Spike jump out from his bed with a holler and landing with a poof. He scratched his head at the lack of inherent danger and gave me and Twilight a confused look.

“Uhh, what’s going on here?”

“Did Hearth’s Warming come early this year?!”

“Unfortunately not, I’ve got a lot of catching up to do on politics if I want to keep this job for very long.” I said taking a look at all of the books.

“That reminds me, we’ll be going to check out your new office today.”

“Sounds cool.”

I went into my bag to grab my shiny new camera, which I honestly should have been using yesterday, and loaded the prepackaged batteries into the contraption. Twilight gave a look of surprise when she saw it.

“Wow! you have a camera!?”

“Yep, my mom got me this camera before I left.”

“That was certainly nice of her.”

“Are they expensive here?”

“That sounds like a lot.”

I guess digital camera’s aren’t a thing with equestrian technology. Twilight reached up to a large bag of coins on her desk. It didn’t look like there were anymore than maybe a few hundred bits in there but maybe I was wrong.

“This is all of my money. ”

“How much is in there?”

“572 bits.” she said putting the bag back on top the bookcase with her magic.

“Okay, that puts things into perspective.”

Twilight’s stomach growled giving me a hint at what was coming up.

“We should probably eat before we get going.”

I threw the camera’s string around my neck.Twilight walked down the stairs followed by me and Spike. When I came down the stairs Twilight had already prepared 3 sandwiches. “We are, but humans tend to be kind of picky when it comes to vegetation. Sorry, I should have made that more clear. ”

We left the library to continue my tour of Ponyville. We exchanged farewells with Spike who would be the one to take care of the place while we were gone. Back we were on the streets of Ponyville headed to the town square. The place was bustling with ponies and business. Of course it wouldn’t be me in public without getting stared down for the fact that I was an alien. It was made even worse for the fact that I had an extremely expensive object around my neck. We visited plenty vendors and I got to meet plenty of ponies most of which were fairly professional as far as attitude goes. We bought a few veggies and some fruit that would satisfy my hunger but other than that nothing really notable happened as we swept through the town square until we had reached the last stand.

This was definitely a step above in professionalism compared to all the other business ponies I’ve met. I nodded, opened the door and turned on the lights to see what my new building had in store for me. There were potted plants in the far corners of the room. “It could use a little something extra, but overall I like it.”

“I’m glad you like it. For the amount of time we had to make this building it was hard work. Even construction workers from Canterlot came to help us.”

Maybe it’d be a good idea to tell the princess.

“Princess Celestia.” I said focusing my thoughts to the princess.

“Yeah to get some fresh air. Didn’t you read the note?”

“I saw you going into Berry Blast’s house.”

“Yeah and?”

“Well, I don’t know--but you were probably doing bad stuff!”

Now that I think of it, I don’t really care that much about telling her. He’d probably tell Twilight anyways, and I’d end up having to explain it to her. Honestly, the guy was barely a foot and a half tall and a child so he wasn’t exactly a threat in anyway shape or form.

“Tell Twilight if you want, saves me breath.”

He had nothing, he just gave me a stern look and waddled home in bitter defeat. It was kind of funny in a cute way. I’m sure he’ll warm up to me eventually. I felt something bulging out of my pocket and it was a bag of blueberries with a note on it. The note said “It may not have been the best sex, but it was still fun. Here’s a little something for no reason. Love Berry.” I stepped into the library and hopped into my bed. Today was certainly interesting. I’d love to hang out with Berry in a non sexual situation, she just seems fun to be around. Maybe I’ll have talk to Lyra sometime she seems like a nice girl. Maybe I’ll try and spend time with Fluttershy, Rarity or Twilight tomorrow, that sounds like a fun time. Hell, I’ve got a few weeks to kill before I have to start working. Why not make them a little more interesting?

What is this mysterious blue text? What does it mean? Will it ever appear again? Discuss! If you want. This chapter feels like an improvement from the last chapter, personally, I feel like I did a much better job on this chapter. A big reason why the last chapter was so lackluster is because I just wanted to get it out, I couldn’t stand my own perfectionism and I just do something needed to get something out there. It feels like a goddamn achievement to have gone so far as to get past the second chapter. I actually didn’t have enough time to draw the placeholder title art. I’m going to be stuck in a place with no internet miles away from any form internet access for a few days. Anyways sorry for the wait,I meant to get this out yesterday but life happened.
