My Love For Rarity

Chapter 2: Seduce me/Confession

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

As we made it to the condo, I parked and the two of us got out and headed upstairs.

"You know," I said, as the two of us climbed the stairs, "I've never been in a girls house in my life."

"Oh?" said Fleur, "don't worry, darling. You'll be jealous from what it looks like on the inside."

As we made it up the stairs, we walked up to door number eight. Fleur takes her keys out of her bag and unlocks the door. As we walked in, she was right; I was jealous from what she had in her place. She had a glass coffee table, a flat screen television, and a kitchen that looked fancy. I was speechless; I stood there with my mouth gaping wide open. Fleur giggles, as she closes the door behind me.

"You should see the look on your face, darling."

I looked over to her, as she walks into the kitchen and goes through her cabinets.

"Would you like anything to drink," she asked, "I have sparkling water, tea, folgers-"

"The best part of waking up, is folders in your cup~" I sung, making Fleur laugh.

"Hehehe, I didn't know anyone would remember that jingle."

"My parents sang that a lot when I was younger when they drank folgers," I explained.

"So folgers then?"

"Please."

She began making me folgers coffee, as I continued to look around the place.

"If you like, you can sit down and watch TV," said Fleur, "make yourself at home."

"Thank you," I said, as I sat down and grabbed the remote.

I switched around the TV and found what I was looking for, another episode of Ghost Stories to brighten my afternoon.

"What are you watching," asks Fleur, as she sits beside me.

"It's one of the most hilarious anime dubbings out there," I explained, "it's called Ghost Stories. It's about these kids that deal with ghosts. It's having a rerun and I tune in on every episode."

"Sounds rather frightening."

"You should watch it for the comedy. It's really funny."

As the two of us sat in the living room for ten minutes before commercials, Fleur gets up and pours in our coffee before coming back and handing me my mug.

"Here's lesson number one before the show starts," said Fleur, as she holds up her pinky before taking a sip.

"What?"

"A fancy way of drinking, you hold your pinky up while taking a sip," explained Fleur, as she places her mug down.

I copied her and took in a small sip. I look over to her, as she claps her hands.

"Well done," she says, "well done."

I did it again and accidentally belched. I covered my mouth, making Fleur almost disgusted. She shakes her head and shrugs.

"Next lesson, when you belch, cover your mouth and say 'excuse me'."

"Sorry about that," I said, as I scratched the back of my head.

"It happens, don't worry. Fancy did the same thing, but he then learned how to stop doing that eventually."

"Okay, well that makes me fell better," I chuckled.

The show comes back on, as the two of us sat on the couch, sipping coffee and laughing so hard from the comedy that is Ghost Stories.

As the episode ends, Fleur turns off the TV and stands in front of it and places her hands on her hips.

"It is time," said Fleur, as she points over to the table behind us that was close to the kitchen.

I stood up and sat down over at the table. Fleur walks into the kitchen and takes out wrapped chicken and begins taking off the plastic and places it in the microwave. She sets the time, as the microwave begins its heating. She then takes out a bottle of sparkling water and then two wine-like glasses. She pours the sparkling water and places it back into the fridge. She walks back and places the glasses for her and I.

"Don't drink yet," she said, as she walks back into the kitchen and pulls out her phone from her pocket and texts.

"I bet she's texting Fancy that she won't be able to see him tonight," I thought to myself, before the ringer of the microwave goes off.

She places her phone back in her pocket and pulls out the steaming chicken and walks back, placing it in front of us. She then walks back into the kitchen and pulls out a small heart box, which may have some chocolate in it. I bet they're from Fancy when Fleur and he and out on that date three weeks ago. She places that aside the chicken and sits down in her chair.

"Seduce me," she asks.

I cocked an eyebrow and looked at her weird. What is she trying to accomplish?

"Huh?"

"Seduce me," she repeats.

"What? Fleur, I can't-"

"SEDUCE ME!" she shouts.

"Okay! Okay! Jeez!"

I breathed in and exhaled slowly, to slow my heart rate. I looked over to her, as she was giving me the dreamy look. I blushed and took in another exhale.

"Hey there… young lady…I got some chicken for us to-"

I was instantly slapped against the face.

"I'm not one of those friend chicken tramps," she said with anger, "I'm a woman. I like my men dangerous, mysterious. You want to be my lover? Earn it! SEDUCE ME!"

"I sense a montage coming," I thought to myself, as I rubbed the spot where Fleur slapped, "and these lessons are gonna be rather difficult from the looks of it."

It was 5 O'clock and after a session on seducing for thirty minutes, now is the time for trying to dance. Fleur gave me a demonstration by using a dummy she used before the dance as a warm up. I sat there watching her, as she dances with the dummy and telling me the positions. After demonstrating for three minutes, she asks me to do it. I gulped as I walked up in the living room with the dummy in hand and began copying on what Fleur demonstrated in front of me. A few times I nearly dropped the dummy, but at least she said I'm doing good on my first try. I practiced dancing for another fifteen minutes and began to get the hang of it. As I finished it with a spin, she claps and gives me a pat on the back.

"Well done," she says, "now I'm gonna teach you how to look dazzling and make you talk fancy. Drink the sparkling water, while I go look for a book for you to read for the night."

As she walked away and went into her room, I walked into the kitchen and poured me some sparkling water and still having my pinky out when I sipped it. When Fleur came back into the kitchen, she places in front of me a book. On the cover, it said 'How to be Fancy in Forty-Five Minutes'. I place my glass down and held the book in my arms.

"Why are you giving me a book?"

"So you can be a fancy man, darling. Your homework for me is to read this book and talk to me when I see you around lunchtime. I also would like you to apologize to Rarity and be a gentleman to her. We'll continue more lessons later tomorrow. Fancy wouldn't mind that."

"Sure," I said, "I'll learn from this book, Sensei. I also like to thank you for training me."

"Why of course, darling. Anything for a friend."

I smiled and gave her a hug.

"Now get going," said Fleur, "I bet your kitty misses you."

I grabbed the book and rushed to the door.

"Bye Fleur," I said, as I opened the door and waved to her, "see you tomorrow."

"Bye-bye, darling," she said, as she waved back to me.

I close the door and walked happily over and down the stairs. I jumped in the car and placed the book on the passenger seat and started the car.

"Thank you Fleur," I said, as I got my phone and connected it to the car, "now for some tunes. HIT IT!"

I walked into my house, as Amano walks up to me with a meow. I chuckled and held him up to my face.

"Guess what Amano? I got luck on my side because of Fleur."

I set him down and pat his fury head. I then walked into my room and put away my things before going into the living room and studying from the book. I read through page after page, as time went by. I was surprised that it did take forty-five minutes to finish the book. I adjusted my glasses, as I read another forty-five minutes in case if I missed anything.

By eight O'clock, I gave out a stretch and place the book on the small coffee table in front of me and began turning on the TV. Instead of watching something goofy, I flipped through the channels to find a show to what fancy people would watch. It began to get stressful, so I take out my phone and typed in on what do fancy people watch. Luck was on my side, as I found an article on to what fancy people watch and one of them was familiar: Modern Family.

"Hmm," I said, as I adjusted my glasses, "I didn't know fancy people would watch that kind of stuff."

I put my phone on the coffee table and scrolled through the channels to find ABC. The show was about to start, so good for me. I pressed enter and began watching the episode.

I ended up watching an hour and a half, as the time went from eight to nine-thirty. I gave out a yawn and turned off the TV. I grabbed my phone and began turning off the lights in the living room and kitchen, except for the hallway light; I hate waking up sometimes in the middle of the night to use the restroom and can't figure out where I'm walking to in pitch black. I then remembered that I forgot about the book and went back into the living room to grab it and place it in my pack to give back to Fleur. I took off my clothes, leaving me wearing nothing, but my boxers. It can get hot at night and I don't want to use the AC too much to raise the electric bill. Yeah, I live alone. My parents wanted me to learn to be on my own by the age of eighteen and they ended up moving to Florida. They didn't hate me or anything, they love me, don't get me wrong. They call me once a week and ask me about my life and how's school going. They would even help me by giving me money if things went south for me when I lost a job or something. I work down at the Canterlot library every Thursday through Sunday from four PM to seven PM. Since I'm such a bookworm, I might as well work at a place where I'm surrounded by things that I love.

I gave out a stretch, before taking the covers and placing them over myself. I reached over to the lamp and began looking up at the ceiling for the past ten minutes.

"I hope from what I read works," I thought to myself, before I began falling asleep.

It was six-thirty on a Wednesday morning, as I got out of bed and got ready. After showering, I then decided doing something different that what I usually do. I got up to my cabinet and pulled out hair products and began slicking my hair back. After that, I looked into the mirror and I looked like an entirely different person; I felt as though I got handsomer than what I usually look like. I then rushed over to my room with towel around my waist and grabbed my glasses. I rushed back in and still I looked dazzling as ever. I look like I'm both smart and sexy at the same time. I then went back into my room and began picking out slacks, boxers, socks, and a shirt. The shirt I chose to wear today was a short-sleeved shirt of the Charnabog from Fantasia. I guess that will be okay, since Fantasia deals with classical music and fancy people do like that kind of music. I too have been a fan of classical music since I saw both Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 when I was younger. I plead it on and looked at myself from my closet window and I kinda…look a little sum, but this seemed like the only fancy thing I could wear; I bet Rarity would think I look ridiculous. I still find it hard to think of Rarity after the debacle from yesterday. Today, I will walk up to her, look her in the eye and apologize. I then placed my shoes on and walked into the kitchen where Amano begins to meow for food.

"Hungry," I asked Amano.

The cat meowed back, as I reached into the pantry and pulled out a bag of cat food and poured some into his food bowl. I then grabbed his water dish and filled it up with water before placing back down. Amano digs into his breakfast, as I began toasting up bread and pulling out the jam. As I waited for the toast to be browned, I walked into the living room and switched the TV to the news. As I walked back into the kitchen to check on the toast, it said that the weather today will be around sixty-five and that tonight will be around fifty-one. The toast was done, as I placed it on my plate and began spreading the jam and sitting back down to eat. The first bite is always the best, as my mouth is filled with sweetness of the berry-flavored jam.

When I finished, I walked back into my room and took out a black jacket to put on and grabbing my pack. I walked back into the kitchen and began cleaning my plate before leaving. I placed my jacket on and waved to Amano before leaving the house and locking the door.

Since I left the house early and had about forty-five minutes to kill, I decided to drive to town to grab a cup of coffee for Fleur and I. I parked near Ponybucks Coffee and walked in to the establishment with the smell of coffee hitting my nostrils.

"Good morning," said the woman at the counter, "care to make an order?"

"I'll have two iced coffees, please," I asked, as the woman typed in my orders, "small as well."

"Anything else?"

"That'll be all."

"Okay then, that'll be $7.95."

I took out my wallet and paid her eight dollars. She takes the money and hands me back the change.

"What's your name," she asked, as she pulled out two cups and took out a pen.

"It's Johnny."

She smiles and writes my name down. What was strange was that when she wrote my name on the first one, it took about fifty seconds before writing my name on the second cup, which took her ten seconds on that one. I took a seat and began texting Fleur.

Did you read the book?

I did. I actually read it a few times in case I missed anything. I also did extra credit by watching Modern Family, which is said online that fancy people watch it.

Oh? I love that show and you're right, fancy people do watch that.

Tis quite a funny show

I can tell you have read it

Why of course I have M'lady.

I now want you to find Rarity at some point, apologize and try to talk to her in her language.

"Johnny," called out the woman from the counter, "they're ready."

Okay, my coffee is here and I'll meet you in a bit to pick you up. I also got you one.

You're such a good friend. See you then.

I put my phone back in my pocket, as I walk up to grab the two iced coffees and walked over to grab a tray for them to stand in while they're in the car. As I turned around, I noticed Rarity in the line of three people ahead of her. I gulped, as I tired not to get noticed. As I felt as though she wasn't looking at me, as I headed to the door, she noticed me.

"Darling," she called out to me, "care to have a chat with me?"

A chat? Why a chat? I thought she was gonna call me a creep or scum from what I said yesterday. My heart began to race, along with my body quivering a bit.

"I-i-if th-that's what you like, M-miss Rarity," I said, trying to sound fancy.

"Wait over there by that table with the two seats," she said, pointing to the table I was close to.

"S-sure," I said, as I sat down and quivered.

I sat there like a nervous wreck; I didn't expect to see Rarity here. I pulled out my phone and texted Fleur.

Rarity's here at Ponybucks! I'm freaking out!!

Darling, keep calm. Take in a few breaths and talk to her. I have faith in you.

I took in a few exhales, as my heart rate slowed down to normal. Before putting my phone away, I got another text from Fleur.

Good Luck, darling

I smiled and put my phone away before Rarity came back with a mocha.

"What a coincidence to see you here, darling," she said, as she places her mocha in front of her.

"S-s-same as well," I stuttered, "listen, ab-bout yesterday, I'm sorry for saying that. I have a problem talking to beauti- I mean talking to girls like you."

My face felt warm, as I looked Rarity in the eye. She smiled and waved her hand.

"Don't worry, darling," she said, "however, if you have a problem talking to me, then how is it that you can talk to Fleur? She's quite a spectacle to the boys at the school."

"Her? Well, we've been friends for a while, plus I can't have her. She already has a dandy boyfriend: Fancy."

"That's true," she said, as she takes a sip into her mocha.

"Also, I'm no dandy man myself, but I'm practicing for that."

"Is it to win a lady's heart?"

"Y-you could say that, M'lady."

"I can see it in you."

"See what?"

"I can see that you are quite a handsome young man and that you could win any girls heart. Pray tell, who's your love interest?"

"Um…uh…"

"Something wrong, darling?"

"It's…um…someone…beautiful and perfect at making dresses."

"Oh? Is it someone like me?"

"It's…well…actually…"

My heart began racing and I was starting to feel a panic attack coming.

"Darling? Is there something wrong?"

"Oh! Look at the time! We should get going to school before the bells ring. See you around, bye!"

I grabbed the tray of the two iced coffees and ran out of the place and into the car to drive off. While in the car, I was gasping; trying to calm myself down.

"I blew it…DAMN IT!"

I arrived at Fleur's condo and texted her that I was outside. A minute later, Fleur rushed down and hoped in.

"Hey there, darling," she said, before taking her iced coffee and having a sip, "mmm, delicious. So how did it go?"

I couldn't answer; it was embarrassing.

"Darling? Did things go good?"

"I failed," I replied.

"What? How?"

"I was on a verge of a nervous breakdown and ran out of there like the coward that I am," I smacked my forehead on the edge of the steering wheel, "DAMN IT!"

"I'm sorry to hear, darling," said Fleur, as I could feel her hand rub my back, "I guess you couldn't handle it then. It's okay. All men are like that when talking to a beautiful person."

"I'm hopeless," I mumbled, "I wanna kill myself…If I can't have anyone…I rather be dead…I'm a nobody."

I then felt a hard smack on m back and being grabbed and pulled back onto my seat. I look over to Fleur with an angry look upon her face with a tear rolling down her right eye.

"Don't you ever EVER say that again, darling," she said with a sniffle and wiping away the tear, "I'll never forgive you if you killed yourself. You are my best friend and I'll always be by your side to help you. You are a somebody; you are more than what you think you are. You just need to straighten out your act and calm down, darling. I love you as a friend."

I never knew Fleur had that kind of a friendship with me; I always thought of her as a friend, but not this much. I then began to tear up and Fleur gave me a hug.

"There, there," she said in a calming voice and caressing my head.

"I never knew," I sobbed, "that I meant that much to you as a friend."

"I always have been and always will be."

"You smell good. Is that orange I smell?"

"It is," she said, as she holds up my head, "cheer up."

She hands me her handkerchief, making me smile, as I began using it and handing it back to her.

"Thanks Fleur," I said with a sniffle, "where would I be without you?"

She smiles and ruffles my hair.

"Let's get going," she said, as she retracted her hand from my hair, "school will start in twenty minutes."

I took a long sip of my iced tea and set it in the cup holders.

"Let's roll," I said, as I turned around and drove us toward school.

As I made a stop at a red light, I took another sip and Fleur was looking at my cup with a weird expression.

"Something wrong?"

"Darling…your cup…has someone's number on it," she said, as she points to the cup.

I turned my cup around and noticed it as well. On the other side of the cup had the woman at the counters' number and had XOXOXO written on it as well.

"I thought it was weird that she took longer writing something on this cup," I said with an awkward giggle.

"Darling, I wanted to say this before you said those things earlier, that you look dandy."

"Really?"

"You do."

"Thanks Fleur," I said, before the light turns green, allowing me to drive onward.

By lunchtime, I was putting away my books, when suddenly; I heard multiple footsteps coming up to me. I turned and noticed a familiar face. Fluttershy walks up to me and gives me a wave.

"Hey Johnny," she said, as she opens her locker three lockers down.

"Hey Fluttershy," I said, as I closed my locker.

"Have you met my boyfriend," she asks, as she points to the guy next to her.

The guy standing next to her had brown hair with red streaks at the ends of it, has blue eyes, wears a leather jacket that reminds me of the ghost rider. On his shirt was a picture of Krystal from Star fox wearing a bikini, which seems wrong to be wearing around school, but I'm not gonna tattle; I'm not that kind of person. He also happens to be a few inches taller than I am, which made me feel insignificant and wonder how can a guy like him be with a sweet girl like Fluttershy?

"Hey how's it going," he asked, as he held out his hand to me, "I'm Red. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you two," I said, as I shook hands with him.

"So, what's up? You seem a bit down."

"Huh? What are you talking about?"

"I can sense that you are down. Something bad happen?"

"You can tell us," said Fluttershy.

"Well…I'm in love with this girl and…well…I'm not sure how to approach her."

Red takes his hand onto my shoulder, making me flinch.

"Walk with me," he said, as he and I walk along the halls, "I'll be with you soon, babe. Wait for me in the cafeteria."

"Have fun you two," she said, as she waved to Red and wandered into the cafeteria.

"So, tell me," he asks me, as the two of us walk through the halls, "Who's this girl you like?"

"Well," I said with a blush, "it's one of the prettiest girls around the school."

"Oh? It wouldn't happen to be Rarity, is it?"

I gave him a wide stare.

"Yes! How did you know?"

"Uh duh, I hear it a lot from the boys around school. So you have a crush on her, eh?"

"Yes, but…I'm too nervous on how to tell her."

The both of us stop and he places his hands on my shoulders.

"Here's what you have to do."

"Uh-huh."

"You go up to her."

"Uh-huh."

"You look at her straight in the eye."

"Yes."

"And you tell her from the bottom of your heart, 'Rarity, I have a crush on you.'"

"And you sure that'll work."

Red gives me a blank and somewhat frustrated face and slams me against the lockers. It was a bit painful; he could've snapped my neck if he were crazy with that strength.

"Look! You love this girl, don't you?"

"Yes?"

"You wanna hold her?"

"Yes."

"Please her?"

"YES!!"

"Then you gotta try a little tenderness. Chicks love that romantic crap."

"Care to explain how you got Fluttershy?"

Red lets me go, as I fell to the floor and got up.

"I have to thank your friend, Fleur for teaching me how to hook up with Flutters."

"How do you know I'm friends with Fleur?"

"I see you two hanging out in the cafeteria and giving her a ride home after school, as I pass by the student parking."

"Are you stalking me?"

"No way! I'm not a stalker. I just happen to see you a lot."

"Anyway, tell me what Fleur taught you. It could help me out."

"Curious to know?"

"Yes."

"She told me to be myself and to be a little tough on her."

"…That's it?"

"Yep."

"…Okay…"

"You got a problem with that?"

"Well…you don't seem like the kind of guy Fluttershy could be with."

It was at that moment I realized I fucked up. Red looks at me with a little of fury, but then somehow, he lets out am exhale. He smiles and pats my head.

"Look," he said, as he then grips onto my head, "you don't have the right to say that I'm no good for Fluttershy, okay? You're just lucky that I'm in a good mood today because if I wasn't, things could get ugly. I'm going to say this one more time, 'be yourself and try to be a little tough on her.'"

"Okay, I get it. Please let go of my skull," I said, as my head felt as though it were about to break.

He releases me from his grip and smiles.

"Remember what I taught you now. Trust me, it could be helpful."

I rubbed my throbbing head, as he and I walk towards the cafeteria.

"I'll see what I can do, Red," I said, as we bumped fists.

"That's the spirit, kid."

"It's not kid. It's Johnny."

"Whatever. Just go see Rarity and tell her how you feel."

I don't know why…was it the pain? Was it the confidence Red gave me? I began to feel braver to approach her now, as he and I walked through the cafeteria doors. I walked straight over to Rarity and her friends, except for Fluttershy, who was with Red at another table. I walked up to the table and cleared my throat.

"Rarity," I said in a manly-like voice.

"Y-yes?" said Rarity.

"May I speak to you outside of the cafeteria?"

"Sure, darling," she said, as she got up and followed me out of the cafeteria.

As of right now, all that was in the hallway was Rarity and I. I took in an inhale, then exhaled. I looked at Rarity in the eyes and began speaking out what my heart wanted me to say to her since freshman year.

"Rarity… I just wanted to tell you that I had a crush on you since freshman year," I said, as Rarity stood there with a wide-eyed expression, "you are my ideal girl and as of now, I want to confess that you are the girl that caught my eye. I'm so sorry for earlier at Ponybucks, but I have been so nervous to tell you this and now, I finally have the confidence to tell you this without embarrassing you in front of your friends. Rarity… I'm in love with you."

She didn't reply; all she did was give me a wide-eyed expression. I gave out a sigh and turned around.

"You know what, forget what I-"

Wait," said Rarity, making me stop and turn around, "darling… you… love me?"

"…Yes…"

She covers her mouth, as tears began to pour down her eyes. I gasped and walked up to her.

"S-sorry," I said, "did I say anything wrong? I apologize if I embarrassed you."

"Darling," she said, as she wipes away her tears, "no man has the guts to come up to me and confess their love. You darling, are very brave."

"Well… thanks… again, I'm sorry for embarrassing you in front of your friends yesterday and for running away down at-"

I was cut off, as Rarity's lips were placed against mine. It was a miracle; Rarity is actually kissing me. I never knew this would ever become reality. I closed my eyes, as I embraced her in a hug. Our lips parted, as she and I looked at one another with flushed faces.

"Wow… I never expected that, M'lady," I said, trying to sound fancy.

"I have to admit, I do find it cute when you're nervous around me," said Rarity, making my face go ever redder.

Suddenly, the cafeteria doors open from behind me, making the two of us flinch. Unexpectedly, it was Red with surprise.

"Oh my…oh my…goodness," he said with a smile on his face.

"…."

He walks up to me and hugs me tightly.

"You did it," he said, as I began to feel crushed, "I knew toughening you up will work."

"Thank. You. Red," I said between breaths, "please. Let. Go. I'm. Suffocating."

He drops me, as I grasp for breath.

"I knew you can do it," said Fleur, as she walks out.

"Fleur?!"

"I know this may irritate you, darling, but this was my plan."

"…Huh?"

"You see, darling, you needed to get a bit tough on a lady and Red here, was able to do that for you successfully. He toughened you up so it can give you confidence."

Instead of getting angry, I smiled and hugged Fleur.

"Thank you," I said, as she hugs me back.

"Your welcome, darling," she said.

"Fluer," I said, as I walked up to Rarity, "I like you to meet Rarity. My crush."

"Darling, you mean lover?" said Rarity, as she holds onto my arm.

I began to feel my face get warm, from her calling me that. Rarity, Fleur and Red laugh from my flushed face.

"What's so funny?!" I asked.

"Darling, you are so cute when embarrassed," said Rarity.

I smiled at her and gave Rarity a kiss on the cheek.

"You're cute," I said, making her blush.

"How about we go on a triple date on Friday," asked Red.

"I would love to do that, but I sadly have work going on tomorrow through Sunday by four to seven PM."

"Aw, fudge," said Fleur.

"Shoot," said Red.

"Would a seven thirty dinner sound good this Friday?" asked Rarity.

"I can go with that," I said, agreeing to Rarity's idea.

"I'll bring Fancy along with me," said Fleur

"I'll bring Flutters," said Red.

"Tis settled," said Rarity, "as soon as we're done with our jobs, we meet at on of the fanciest places in town."

"I'll pay," said Red, "it's on me."

"You're awesome, Red," I said, as I nudged him on the side.

"You as well, lover boy," he said, as he nudges me hard on the shoulder.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!"

The girls, including Red got a good laugh until the bell rings.

"See ya, buddy," said Red, "gotta go."

We all wave to one another and went our separate ways. However, Fleur comes up to me and whispers into my ear.

"Tonight, come to my house," she whispered, "I need to teach you some things when you are alone with a lady."

She then walks away, leaving me concerned on what she wanted to teach me tonight.
