Changing Time

I finally calmed down after a little while, tears were still rolling down my face, but I was calm. I turned up to look at John, showing him that I wanted a little of an explanation.

"I don't like to talk about my past much, but I guess I might as well tell you a bit." John said, "If you want me to that is."

"I would like a bit of an explanation...please" I said, still looking slightly upset.

"Alright." John said with a sigh, "Well, eight years ago something big happened," I saw a tear come to John's eye as he continued, "and I had to live with the Doctor. So while I was living with him, we would go on adventure through time, and sometimes space." I was listening intently, still a bit upset, but calmer. "During that time he would teach me about the physics of time and space. So I learned how time travel was very hard without the help of a certain type of technology." John sighed as he finished, wiping away another tear.

"John..." I started, "I..I'm sorry I yelled earlier. I thought I was doing something good, that would make you...happy." I wiped away a tear myself.

"It's okay, it's just, after what I have seen others do with this power, and what they would do to get this power," John started, "I was scared that they would hurt you. Please Candy, if you ever make something so powerful, I need you to tell me immediately."

"John I'm happy that you care about me so much, and that you want me to stay safe. I was just upset because I had JUST made it before I showed you. I just...next..." I sighed as I started to cry again, not finding the words.

"It's okay, you didn't know," John smiled as I looked back up at him, wiping away my tears, "and hopefully you never experience or see what these things will do first hoof. There are parts of my mind I have locked up for your own safety."

I couldn't find any words, I just sat there, hugging my doll. John stayed next to me, hugging me as he attempted to calm me down. I enjoyed it, so I didn't move. All that I managed to say after a few minutes of calming down was, "Along'sy John."

"Along'sy to you too love." John said in a soft voice. I limped over to my stash, which had a bottle marked 'Emergency Milkshake' on it. I had pre-mixed it with my potion, and put it in a special bottle that keeps it cooled. I took a sip as I limped back over to my bed with John.

"Goodnight Candy." John smiled before getting back to inventing, as I fell asleep. John turned on my machine real quick, and the music box he gave me. With that I dozed off.
