Chapters Ch 1 Getting a wierd mission
Chapter 1.
(Georges pov)
I sit in my usual chair playing Halo while watching the next episode of a show called My little pony friendship is magic. This is what I thought my perfect life was like but I’d never admit it to anyone else.
My name is George Victanius I’m 21 years old and I come from a peaceful little village in Sweden, it is always so silent and calm around here since we live so far from any major settlements. Don’t get me wrong I like living here since traffic or lots of other humans isn’t a problem. But since I always had trouble making friends I only had one but he lived over 30 kilometres away from my house and because I don’t have a car license yet so our only way to see each other on the summer is by cycling.
What I didn’t know was that everything in my life is about to be turned upside down.
So here I am playing Halo and watching MLP in the middle of the day, but suddenly I start smelling smoke, my natural instinct screams that I should go upstairs (I live in the basement of my mother’s house) and check but I keep ignoring it thinking it is just someone having a BBQ. But the smell just keeps getting stronger and stronger it also gets hotter. So I pause the episode and the game to walk upstairs to check. What I see makes me become frozen with fear.
When I see the door from the basement I can see the handle glowing orange. Smoke comes from the sides of the door, the smoke makes it difficult to breath. The heat is rising fast. I go down again to get something to break down the door. I went to the workshop I had set up and grabbed a 10 kg sledgehammer. I went back to see it was too late the door was blazing and fire covered everything close to it. It was then I realized that I have no chance to get out alive. But I decided that I would test my luck. I ran as fast as I could with the sledgehammer in hopes of smashing through the door. but when I jumped to hit the door full force my bad luck struck. I hit the roof with the hammer and almost breaking the last supporting beam to the roof. I fell down and dropped the hammer. Luckily the floor is made of cement so no fires close to me. I think of the worst possible thing
Our house is on fire and I have nowhere to run.
I’m going to die here aren’t I, I think.
HELP
HELP!
HEEEELP!!
But nobody came…...
"Why did I have to be so stupid to think that I could take care of myself for 3 weeks" I said to myself. The last thing I saw in my world was the supporting beam heading towards the floor with the roof close behind it. The beam just centimetres from my face before darkness took hold off me.
I felt that I was floating.
“huh so this is what happens when you die”
When I opened my eyes I saw nothing but light I thought it would hurt but it was somehow watching.
A soft voice starts to speak to me.
“I’ve been watching you for a while”
“Who are you?” I respond
“I am called by the name Creator” Creator replied
“Oh hello Creator my name is George”
“I know”
“How? This is the first time we see each other”
“Doesn’t my name ring a bell?”
“Wait so you are the creator of everything”
“Yes”
“When someone dies they meet you”
“No only the ones I have a second mission for”
“Second mission?”
“You need to stop Twilight from becoming The Element of Magic”
“Huh”
“You will see” the voice quickly replies.
“Can you please elaborate?”
“Equus may be in danger and I’ve chosen you as its saviour”
“Wait isn’t twilight from the show My Little Pony?”
“Both yes and no”
“What do you mean by both?”
“Yes to your question but no because this isn’t the same Equestria that you think it is
“How so?”
“As I said before you will see when you get there
“But how am I going to get there? Because last thing I can remember I were dying in a house fire”
“Magic” Creator answers plainly.
“I’m not even going to begin saying what doesn’t make sense in your statement, because I don’t really care as long as I survive.”
“I will also give you some abilities”
“Awesome what are they”
“But to your own and others safety you will not know all of them immediately. But I can give you a tip into finding them, they are from people you
know about but never seen. That is all I will tell you. Good luck” Creator said.
“’Will we see each other again”
“Maybe….” Creator said before darkness took hold of me.
So there I was, floating in the darkness trying to understand in all the information I was given.
I’m going to a different version of Equestria to be some kind of hero. Not only that but I will get powers.
Huh wonder what kind of powers I will have. I think to myself
Then I started to feel that something grew on my body. It felt weird but relaxing for some reason. But then the thing that grew on my body started to cover my face. I became scared and feared to be suffocated. I closed my eyes and waited for the in depending doom.
But it never came.
I slowly opened them and was greeted with a familiar look
And instead of everything on top and the weapon and scoreboard there are 2 percentage meters one on 100% and the other slowly rising on the top right and left
“I’ve seen something like this before” I said while trying to remember from where.
Then it hit me, I was in a Spartan suit. I bent my head down and looked and my body, I was in a full Spartan suit. This is so awesome. So this is what the Creator dude meant by powers.
Huh wonder what the two bars mean. I said before I directly facepalmed. They are my life and the shield of the armour. If I got the Spartan suit does it mean that my bones have been reinforced and my reflex greatly enhanced.
For those who doesn’t know much about halos Spartan suit will understand more in the next chapter
I’ll find out about them later, but I hope that I can remove the armour by myself or else going to the bathroom might become a problem.
Wait Creator said something about powers not power, so it means that I have several powers, and what are they.
Well I’ll find out later. “Now I’m ready to go to Eq…..” I said straight out
I didn’t even finish my sentence before a blinding light surrounded me and I started to feel myself moving and fast, so fast that I decked out.
I woke up laying on my back looking straight up, but it seems that i still have the armour on,
“Huh it wasn’t just a dream.” I said suprised
“Guards he can still talk, Stand ready for anything from this colt ”A lovely female voice said
“I’m not a colt, I’m a man” I replied
“I didn’t think the fall was that severe so you would start to think you were something else” The voice replied
“Huh What fall, all I remember is darkness in which I got an awesome armour then everything speeding up until I decked out and woke up here”
“Guards take him to the medical Wing for potential damages”
“No no I can still walk (i think)”
I started to sit up but was held to the ground by something.
“Nonsense we shall take you there, just relax”
I started to hear grunts and men trying to lift me
“Seriously dude you must weigh a ton” one guard said
They finally lifted me and carried me to their medical wing.
huh wonder why they didn't use magic since im in equestria, and why is my shield bar slowly draining, i think
I Swear that I see people flying above me with wings but that is impossible. I turned my head to the side to see who and what was carrying me, there I saw a tall guard in golden armour. He had white fur and blue hair or probably mane in this case he had a spear on the back.
Then I realized
I’m in a anthro version of Equestria
I woke up laying in a hospital bed still in my armour. “Why didn’t you remove my armour” I said to no one in particular.
“It seems we can’t” the same lovely voice as before replied.
“Can you release my arms so that I can try to remove the helmet by myself?”
“Why yes of course my little colt”
Huh wonder if it is Celestia I’m talking to since she called me her little colt.
“By any chance is your name Celestia” I said while she removed the Straps that held down my upper body.
“Yes don’t you know the voice of your own ruler” she said with a hint of question.
“I come from a place very far from here so I have just heard about you from books”
“Aha. There I’m done” she said when she removed the last strap.
“Can you get me a mirror I want to see if how I look has changed?”
I have read enough fanfics to understand if Creator made me a pony. But that raises another question. Why does she call me a colt?
“Here is the mirror now I want to see if you’re a Pony or Zebra” she said
I sat up and saw her for the first time she had white fur and light blue green and pink mane, she were wearing a white dress with golden outlines that fit perfectly on her well curved body and what it seems like a massive bust. She wore her solar cutie mark on top of her hands. She was radiating with power and justice as well as beauty.
“Wow you look beautiful” was the only thing that got out of my mouth.
I saw a small blush form on her cheeks but as quickly as it came it disappeared.
“Thank you but please remove your helmet now” she said
“Oh right” I said while starting to remove it.
Luckily I remember from halo reach where they reach in to remove the helmet. I reached there and felt a switch. When I flipped it a message popped up on the screen of the helmet.
Do you want to be able to remove the armour? YES OR NO
I thought yes and it got pressed. Suddenly a pshhh sound was made from the armour and I felt it come loose. I grabbed the helmet to remove it. I lifted it up and was blinded by Celestias natural brightness. When my eyes got used to the light I looked at Celestia who looked at me in wonder.
“Who are you” she said.
“My name is George Victanius and nice to see you with my own eyes, now how do I look am I a pony or something else” I replied
“You don’t remember what you are?” she said
“well no” I lied
“Take a look for yourself” she said and held the mirror in front of me.
I saw that I was Coal black Colt with Light brown mane. And since I can’t feel any with I guess I’m an Earth pony by the lack of horn.
“Do you have a spell to see how old I am princess” I asked Celestia
Her hands started to shine for a few seconds before they stopped.
“You are an earth colt and 10 years old” she said.
Oh I thought maybe it was my length that the pony race recognised as a colt instead of a stallion.
“Thank you, do you want to know anything more or can I be released”
“Where do you come from, and why are you here”
“I can’t remember where I come from but I came here to study and maybe become a guard”
“Then I shall release you and take you to the training ground so you can prove that you are guard material”
“Sweet”
Celestia removed the last straps while I reequipped the helmet and activated it.
“Can I show them what I can do in my own armour since I’m going to use it?”
“Yes you may but please remember there are more than just one test some without armour so do you have any clothes to change into”
“Aha, and no I do not have clothes to change into”
I can’t believe it not only am I talking to Celestia but I’m also going to apply for the royal guard. This is what I call progress on a mission.
My thoughts were interrupted by a beeping noise coming from my helmet.
“Wait Princess I will just check what the helmet wants me” I stopped and said
“Well that’s a sentence I thought I’d never hear” Celestia said
Hello George I’ve seen that you have woken up and was having a nice talk with Celestia that’s nice but now to more serious matters your mission. I
saw in a bar of text.
“Can you hear me” I said out loud
Yes. Another message read.
“Good” I replied “now what about it”
You can tell Celestia about you need to get Twilight together with you but do not tell her why, but nopony and I do mean NOPONY else. And also say hi from me, if you do that she will understand your mission and help you on it. And also this only for you but this is ten years prior to nightmare moons release.
“Ok” I said and removed the helmet.
“What was that about George?” Celestia said.
“First off Princess I want to say hi from Creator” I said
“Oh so you’re on a mission from him”
“Yep, it seems that you have met him before”
“Yes Starswirl the bearded was sent to Equestria by him”
“Okay do you know what his mission was?”
“Why yes of course, he was sent here to vanquish a great evil known as Cronus the first Titan”
“Did he succeed?”
I saw that a tear started to form in one of Celestias eyes
“Yes but in order to win h..he sacrificed himself”
“Oh I can see he meant a lot to you”
“Yes… yes he did” Celestia responded sadly. “But now onto you what is your mission here has Cronos returned”
“No, none of that it’s actually kind off small compared to what Starswirl got but its impact will be just as big” I replied
“Oh
“Do you know someone named Twilight Sparkle?”
And then I explained everything leaving out not letting Twilight become the element of magic and adding that I should give her combat training since I have been trained in mixed martial arts. Celestia listened until I was done then she simply said one sentence.
“Where do we start?”
We talk through a plan for a few minutes discussing different ways to go through with my mission. The ways just became weirder and weirder from me kidnapping her to that I’m a distant relative until Celestia finally comes up with a good idea, that being that if I do well enough on the entrance exam to the guards she can assign me to become a personal bodyguard for an important person. In this case for Twilight. But there’s one catch, she must accept me as a bodyguard and I must prove to someone she trusts that I can defend her.
“So you mean that in order for your plan to work I must not only score really high on the exam, gain her allowance but also fight someone she trusts to gain his or her trust which in this case probably will be her brother Shining Armor” I said.
“Captain Shining Armor” Celestia corrected me.
Well she probably wants someone that is interested in school, and that won’t be a problem since I’m from my perspective very cunning in math and technology. If I get it right ponies around here are not that advanced so she can learn a lot about that from me. The problem will be somehow proving myself to her brother.
“Now here we are, Ready to take the examination” Celestia said. While she looked at a 3-4 meter tall gate to the outside. Two guards saluted Celestia and opened the doors with their magic. They followed us and began discussing something with Celestia. She had told me to stay put while she went to the middle while talking to the two guards. She whispered something to them with a smile and they stopped and just looked at her in a dafuq way.
While they continued to walk I took a look around. There seemed to be different 3 training stations one for pegasi one for earth ponies and one for unicorns. The pegasi was more of an agility lap that went not only on the ground but also in the air. All pegasi there seemed to wear a lighter version of the golden armour and they were armed with either spears or twin swords.
The Earth pony one was dominated by off course earth ponies but there were some pegasi and unicorns also, the training here was more physical with weights runways and boxing bags, it looked like any gym I’ve been to, the only difference being a lot of heavier weights some discs going as high as 100 kg that the ponies carried like it’s nobody’s fucking business. The ponies here were clad in the normal heavy golden armour, with weapons such as sword/spear/mace/axes and shield. Some with Warhammers and 2 handed swords.
The last training ground was a lot of dummies for unicorns here to practice their magical ability in forms of shielding single target spells such as lightning bolt and firebolt and multitarget spells such as fireball and a type of ice wave attack. Here I notices how unicorns cast spells, their horns glow and then they use their hands to conjure up the spell. In the middle of the 3 training grounds were a magical dome. Inside ponies of all races sparred against eachother.
Celestia went to the top of the dome and shouted with the royal Canterlot voice,
“LISTEN ALL GUARDS” all guards stopped their training and looked at the top of the dome at Celestia. ”WE HAVE A NEW YOUNG PONY READY TO
TAKE THE GUARD EXAM” all guards started to look around for the new blood in the royal army. “COME FORTH GEORGE VICTANIUS” Celestia said and pointed at me. All guards looked at me in wonder since I have a unique set of armour.
I passed all guards and went to join Celestia’s side, but since she’s flying I can’t. “YOU TWO HELP GEORGE UP TO ME” Celestia said while pointing to two of her strongest pegasi. The pegasi went to lift me and barely managed to do so. But since these were the elite and not normal guards as before they lifted me and carried me up to Celestia.
“AS YOU CAN SEE HE IS SPECIAL NOT ONLY DOES HE WANT TO BECOME A BODYGUARD BUT HE ALSO WILL USE HIS HOMEMADE ARMOR” The smith’s began to chat about my armour. “BUT ALTHOUGH HE WANT TO BECOME A BODYGUARD IT IS NOT FOR ME BUT TO SOMEONE I HOLD CLOSE” Celestia says. If they didn’t look at me with a hint of question before they were certainly doing it now. “THE EARTH PONY BODYGUARD EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF FIVE PARTS, THOSE ARE STRENGTH, SWIFTNESS, STAMINA, INTELLECT AND COMBAT COMPETENCE” Celestia said and ended her royal Canterlot voice.
First of is the strength examination. I was showed to the earth pony training grounds where this examination was being held to see my maximum strength. I put on the helmet and the suit powered on. I walked to the examination ground in my armour while going through the suit to see if I can change some things to make me stronger.
I stood in front of the minimum allowance weight, it was on 100 kg. I had checked the armour so I did know how much it would help. But then a guard came up to me and said “you know that during the first four parts you can’t wear any armour”. I looked at Celestia for help and she sighed and said to the guard to stand down” he can still wear his armour since it will be what he’ll be wearing during his job as a bodyguard. I felt the weight and then lifted it. It felt like it weighed 5 kg. I said to Celestia that I need more to examination my maximum. After a while I reached my max right now, it was 250 kilograms I didn’t go any higher since I’m already 30 over the max on Shining Armor and I didn’t want to show anyone my full power.
Next was speed and endurance. They were both held at the pegasus training ground, my speed was insanely high for a colt and also the endurance (thank you Spartan armour and all those kilometres in bicycling).
Next was the intelligence examination it was being held at the unicorn training grounds, the guards tried to help but I silenced them saying I want this to be my own examination. I ended up almost acing the examination and getting 50/55 right. Most questions were about different weapons or techniques. I knew the weaponries because of modded Skyrim and the techniques from being really good in martial arts. The last five were history and since I’ve only been in Equestria for so short I didn’t have time to study.
The last examination were a fighting competence, it was being done in the giant dome. You went to a box were it scanned the pony and everything inside and made a copy of the pony inside the dome controlled by the originals mind. This allowed guard trainings to the death to prepare the guard for a life were you can see a lot of death. Inside I and the guard I was chosen to prove myself against picked our weapons. I picked nothing but a knife for in case things went to hell since I’m a martial artist and the guard got a spear and shield. Before the fight I got a message from the creator with a tip to be able to see him all the time. I marked the guard so I would see a red dot on him instead of a yellow to make him out from all of those who stood around the dome and watched inside at the battle that was going to play out. I rushed into the battle trying to act like a fool and the guard held the shield in front with the spear ready to throw. He threw the spear towards my stomach. Everyone that saw the battle thought that I was done when I did nothing to dodge the spear heading right for me. But since my armour is made to survive fall from space and plasma the spear did nothing against it except draining the shield on the armour with 1 percent, I continued to run towards the guard who just stared in shook as the spear didn’t do anything at all. But then I realised that it wasn’t an earth pony I faced but a unicorn. He started to charge some kind of rapid fire spell. I got hit several times in the chest by the magic bolts since I trusted my armour. It was then I realised why any magic that hit or tried to grab me did nothing. My shield on the armour shields against that as well. But since I was facing a rather physical unicorn instead of a normal not much happened to my shield. (Shield 80%)
I charged forward against him with my speed. He continued to try and blast me but now I was prepared and dodged all the blasts. I saw him stop using magic and gripped the shield with both hands in fear. (now let’s see how well my fists compare to their shields) I struck the shield and was amazed with the results. Not only did my arm go straight through the shield but also the guard himself. He looked at me in chock but a few seconds he looked down to his stomach to see an arm all the way through with my body pressed up against his shield. Then he said one of the things I hoped for. “Stop fisting me” he said and started to laugh at his own comment, only for me to remove my arm and roundhouse kick him in the neck thus paralysing him. I did a pose and said GG. The simulation ended and I came out but now the feeling in the air was heavy. Celestia looked at me with shook and said, ho... How could you kill him and just remain calm?
“I thought myself in a situation that a bodyguard could be in, either the enemy or the one you guard with your life” I responded but my thought was different. Thank you all games I’ve played. “now is there a place I can sleep I’m still just a kid and I need my sleep” I said to no one in particular.
“Of course” Celestia responded, “Blue Light and Shining Light escort George to the room I told you about” She then ordered the two unicorn guards who she talked to earlier.
I got escorted to a part of the castle known to me. “Isn’t this where Miss Sparkle lives?” I asked Blue light. “Yes but how did you know that” he said.
“Just a hunch” I said.
So I’m becoming a roommate to Twilight Sparkle . I thought
“Here are your chambers I will just inform your roommate of Celestia’s orders” Shining Light said.
Shining Light knocked on the door and a young twilight shouted “COME IN IT’S OPENED”
Shining Light opened and went inside with Blue Light after telling me to stay where I was.
I took this time to talk about my progress with Creator.
A few minutes and a WHAT scream later. “And now I’m going to become Twilight’s roommate”
The door opened and Blue Light’s head stuck out and nodded to me to come inside.
