Rainbow Dash looked behind her at her cloud manchine with a look of guilt and betrayal on her face. The cyan filly closed her eyes accepting the fact that she was in reality. The pegasus pulled her goggles onto her face and secured them. She checked her midnight blue saddlebag and buckled the yellow crescent moon pin. She took a deep breath and jumped off from patio of her cloud house. She felt the wind whip against her face as she was getting closer to the ground. The cyan filly recalled the memories she had with her friends and all the ones she loved dearly. She groaned in the thought knowing nothing will ever be the same. Right when she was about to hit the ground, she pulled up sending a rainbow trail behind her and causing an alarming “BOOM” to be heard throughout the sky. She knew that what she just did declared war.
The pegasus pony rested on the nearest cloud saddened of what she had just done. Triggering the Sonic Rainboom, but it was the command of Princess Luna. Rainbow Dash got a paper out of her saddlebag and checked the list of “war preparations” the princess had set for her. She checked off the box in the “Tell the others we’re ready (you know what to do, Dash)”, which was the first thing on the list. The cyan filly sighed as recalled the moment of when this all began...
“Uh… Twi?” The cyan filly said catching the lavender unicorn’s attention. “Yes, Rainbow Dash?” “Why are we going to Canterlot again?” “Yup, sugercube,” the orange earth pony said joining in the conversation, “Why are we all goin’ to Canterlot?” The unicorn sighed and replied to her friends questions. “Honestly, I don’t know why. Princess Celestia sent me a letter and said it was urgent, and that we all had to come as soon as possible.” “Well, if the princess said we had to come, I’m so in!” Rainbow Dash said in her usual rough confident tone. “Mmmhm,” Fluttershy said nodding her head, “I’d do anything for the princess.” “Why, of course dear! Why wouldn’t we? Princess Celestia and Princess Luna trust us. We can’t let them down.” The white unicorn said in a concerning voice. “Yes in didily!” The hyper active Pinkamena Diane Pie shot up with a smile. “Thanks, girls.” The unicorn said, “It’s just that I’m worried about what could be going on…”
The six friends (and Spike) arrived at Canterlot Castle. After going through the entrance, every pony stopped. “I’m scared…” Fluttershy said to break the silence, “We all haven’t had an important task to do from the princesses in a while now,” she said with a tear escaping her eye, “w-what if we blow it…?” The blue pegasus gently landed beside her fillyhood friend and she put her hoof around her neck. “C’mon Flutters!” Rainbow Dash said trying to calm down the timid filly, “Sure, we haven’t done this in a while, but all of us are here.” “Eeyup!” The farmer said, “Dash is right, we all are pals, and we’ll be there for each other till the end of time.” She said giving an assuring warm smile. “Okay…” The yellow pegasus replied and they all began to continue walking to the thrown room.

The memory flashed through the filly’s mind as she flew off the cloud and back to the Lunar Eclipse Empire base. She sighed before she signed in and went inside. There in front of her were the only ones she had left. Another memory flashed through her mind at the sight. Silence filled the room until the pink filly spoke up. “Dashie… Are you okay…?” “Huh?!” The pegasus said as her thoughts faded away. “Oh, Pinks, Rares, Spike… Hi…” The blue pony quickly regained her thoughts and everything came running back to her…

“No sister! Equestria cannot take anymore of this bad leadership from you!” “It’s not my fault, Luna!” “Oh, really now? I’d like to hear that story! All these years, you’ve been lying to your subjects, and me!” “It’s not like that, Luna…” “Stop playing innocent with me, Tia!” An argument could be heard from outside the thrown room door… “What in the hay is goin’ on in there?!” The farmer exclaimed not being able to believe the two sisters having a fight. “Welp, only one way to find out!” The daredevil pegasus alerted the pony sisters by smashing head first through the doors. “What in Equestria is going on in here?!” “It’s her fault!” Both rulers of Equestria pointed to each other with an angry glare…
“Dashie… Dashie… Rainbow, you there buddy?” “Wha-?!” The pegasus replied, “Pinkamena! Sorry… I was just… lost in my thoughts…” “Don’t worry, Dashie! We’re all were like that…” “Yes, Dear! We’ve all been like that lately.” The purple maned unicorn spoke up giving a hug to her friend. Rarity never thought it was possible but part of her felt like she needed Rainbow Dash with her. She felt complete whenever she was around. However, she didn’t have feelings for her. Rainbow was just the type of friend you would always want to be there with you during your time of need. The truth was… Rarity loved Spike, but would never admit it. Those thoughts broke out of Rarity when the little dragon spoke up. “It’s okay, Dash. Even I’ve been having blank outs ever since I left the side of Princess Celestia and Twilight… I mean, I’ve been with them my whole life. They’ve been taking care of me… And I just-just… left them…” A tear ran down the little dragon’s eye and the three ponies held him tight in an embrace. They all needed to stick together more than ever this time.
Thoughts kept trailing through the filly’s mind… “It’s all her fault!” She’s been lying to all of us!” The princess of the night snapped. “I most certainly did not! Luna was the one who started it all.” The princess of the day calmly replied. Twilight let out a deep sigh and spoke up, “Why don’t you tell us what happened. We might be able to tell whose guilty.” Princess Celestia let out a deep sigh and began, “It all happened many many many years ago…” Celestia stopped as tears started coming out of her eyes, and Luna continued the story, “We all know that Celestia and I are the rulers of Equestria. A land for Earth Ponies, Unicorns, and Pegisi live in peace and harmony. However, we also know that Clover the Clever, Princess Platinum, Commander Hurricane, Smart Cookie, Private Pansy, and Chancellor Puddinghead were the founders of the Elements of Harmony. The six ponies agreed to come together to create the Elements of Harmony.”
“Yes, princess.” Twilight began, “We all know the story. Clover become the sprit of the Element of Magic, Princess Platinum represented Generosity, Private Pansy represented Kindness, Chancellor Puddinghead represented laughter, Smart Cookie represented Honesty,, and Commander Hurricane represented Loyalty. But since magic was still something that not many ponies had full control over, creating the Elements of Harmony only resulted to creating opposites of the elements of well. The Elements of Disharmony. They were Black Magic, Betrayal, Untruth, Keep, Gloom, and Cruelty." The lavender unicorn held her head up in pride with her knowledge, "It was at that moment when the elements crashed with their opposites. You and Princess Luna came to rescue, hence being two immortal alicorns who had powers of a goddess, since you two are totally like goddesses!" "Yes, Twilight, but you see-" "It was at that time when the two of you went protect the three tribes! You both used your powers to create a balance with the elements. They're like fire and water!" the young unicorn interrupted with her eyes beamed as she thought of the "smart" comparison she just made. "Egghead..." Rainbow said rolling her eyes while using one hoof to circle her head while using the other to point at Twi. Everypony laughed, even Twilight who continued, "The Elements of Disharmony were banished within the Elements of Harmony and created the Elements of Peace! Well, that's what Clover and her "friends" called them because of the balance that was put between them. Since they were originally known as "Harmony", every book you see is one with that!" The young filly clapped her hooves together, only to have a following sigh from the princess. "Actually..." She began looking at Luna who was giving her a deathly stare...

The cyan filly quickly snapped back to reality and the four of them broke the hug. "Don't cha worry, Spike! We're all in this together." Rainbow Dash looked around and felt like something was missing. "Where's Soarin?" Every face fell flat. "I... I don't know. I haven't seen him all day, dear." Rarity said with a hint of worry in her voice. "No... I just realized, Maud isn't hear too!" Pinkamena began yelling out. "They'll be back, guys. I'm sure they will." The young dragon said trying to get the worry out of his friends' minds. "I hope so..." Rainbow muttered. "Ooooooooohh............."Rarity began, "Somepony's has a crush..." "No I don't." Rainbow's expressionlessly plain face had a small twinkle of bright pink appear on her muzzle. "Then why are you blushing?" The white unicorn teased. "Ugh, Rarity! We're the only part of the Lunar Eclipse Empire. We have no time for this!" "Humph! Fine! But don't think I'll stop trying!" Rarity hissed. Rainbow sighed and broke into a yelp when the door swung wide open.
There stood Soarin and Maud panting and they ran inside. "Soain! Muad!" Rainbow yelled as she flew up and hugged them both. "I am so glad you're both okay!" Pinkie leapt on her sister and embraced her. "Maud!!! You had me so worried!!!!!" "Hehe, Pinkie Pie. You're acting like the big sister." A small chuckle escaped from every muzzle, even Maud's! "Well, I'm glad you two are okay. But, whatever happened out there. It's only morning and we only just announced war." Rarity questioned. "I was really bad out there..." Maud began slowly only to be cut off by Soarin. "Turns out the message got through really quick. We were attacked by the other Wonderbolts, and the rest of the Pie sisters. "Limestone and Marble?!" Pinkie gasped in disbelief. "Yes." Maud said looking down. "We got away. As soon as we entered out base, they stopped. I guess attacking bases are off limits at this time since we're all the the first stage of war." The room fell silent until she came.
"Oh, thank goodness you two are back." The Princess of the Night said with a warm smile. "Come in, and Rainbow," She said looking at her, "I'm sure you trigged the rainboom?" She only nodded until she noticed a gash under Soarin's wing. "Soarin. Did you get hurt under you're wing?" All eyes turned to him. "Y-yea..." He replied. "Why didn't you tell me?" Maud said. "Well, we were in a rush to get back here, so... I didn't want to trouble anypony." "C'mon, Soar!" The little pegasus said nudging his shoulder, "You can tell us all anything, we're all in this together." The pale blue stallion looked around to see the concerned faces of the mares around him. Well, of coarse not Maud's face since she is expressionless all the time, but he knew that she was worried as well. He looked back at the mare who had the most concerned expression of them all, Rainbow Dash...

All of the ponies made way to where the two little fillies, Sweetiebelle and Scootaloo where sleeping. "Pinks doesn't look so well." Rainbow noticed. "Yea, she has been really down lately." Spike replied. "Well, we are her friends and we should do what we can to help her!" Rarity demanded. "I agree, I hate seeing my sister like this. See? I'm mad. I can't pull a happy face if Pinkie isn't happy." Maud said. "Eeeyup..." Rainbow trailed off as she opened the cabinet to get bandages out. She carefully put a cloth on Soarin's gash. then she washed it out with soap and water and bandaged it. "It's really deep, and I don't think any of us know how to do stitches." Rainbow said. "It's okay." The pale blue stallion couldn't keep his blush out of control. "I'll be back..." "So, Dashie, now do you confess?" The posh pony asked. "Confess what?!" Rainbow acted clueless even though she knew what Rarity meant. "You know, your love for Soarin?" "I. Do. Not." the cyan filly replied calmly. From thee shadows, a voice was heard. "I saw the expression of your face when you were treating his wound, Dash. It's pretty clear." Pinkamenia glumly said. "Rainbow pink were a slight shade of pink, but then spoke up. "Look, I would've done the same thing for any of you guys. I would've been as much worried if it was one of you guys. You're all my friends and love you all as friends." She said as she walked up to her adopted sister's bed. "Besides, these two fillies, they should probably be out focus right now..." The cyan pegasus saw all her friends come to the bed make sure the little ponies were still sleeping, and another memory flashed.

"Before Clover and her friends created the Elements Of Harmony, Luna and I found the unicorns struggling with lowering the moon, and rising the sun. However, all legends speak of a different type of pony, different from the ones on all the three tribes. That pony in the legends, was me. But, I wasn't the first to stand. It was actually, Luna." The Princess Of The Day quivered as she told her subjects everything. A gasp spread through the room. "So... When the books were written, you could've just told them what happened, ya know?!" The brash pegasus flew up the the princess's face only to get pulled back my the lavender unicorn's magic. "What Rainbow here means to say is, you didn't tell them the truth?" Princess Celestia sighed only to get Luna started. "Well, I am the real older sister. I was the one who stood there to help the poor ponies lower the moon. Also, somehow, my magic was connected to the sun and I raised it. I fell down from so much power as looked up at what I just did. But then, Celestia said something. Care to tell them?" All eyes were of the white alicorn. "Well, Luna, do you like what I just did? Someday, you just might have as much power as me. And someday, you can have control over both the moon and the sun!" The princess put the head down as she said those lines. All mouths were opened in shock. "And now that I said that, You'll all forget!" Celestia casted a memory erasing spell that only controlled three of the ponies minds. "So, you all remember?" "Yea..." Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rraity, and Spike all nodded their heads. The princess was in shock, but the other three ponies, "What just happened?!" they all said in sync.

And that was when it all happened. Rainbow remembered what Princess Luna said, "It didn't effect you three because I represented the Elements of Loyalty, Laughter, and Generosity while Celestia represented Magic, Honesty, and Kindness..." And that was when they all split apart. Fluttershy didn't know why she went with the Solar Spectrum Empire. Twilight said she'd always stick with Princess Celestia no matter what. And Applejack, well, she said some pretty bad things about all of the ponies who would join the Lunar Eclipse Empire. Everypony even went with Celestia and only Maud and Soarin went with Luna. Rainbow was once friends with all those ponies... And now? Well, the answer is simple. They're now enemies.
