The Transformation
Who Just Did That?!?
Load Full StoryNext Chapter"SKY!" yelled my roommate Bella, "You have got to see this!"
"Is it another MLP related thing?" I asked in an annoyed tone.
"Um, no? Come on! You'll think it's cool!"
"I'm busy studying."
"Fine... You're no fun..."
I'm a college student at the University of Shadango, yeah, stupid name. My name is Sky and my roommate's name is Bella, who's a brony. I don't have anything against the show, I just don't care for it. Bella, on the other hand, is a huge fan. She watches every episode of the show three times, watches tons of episode reviews, and writes fanfiction. I just don't get why she loves the show so much, it doesn't seem like anything special to me.
Last week, we bet on who would get a higher test score. If I got a higher test score, Bella would have to not do anything MLP related for an entire week. If she got a higher test score, I would have to go with her to a brony convention or something like that. Unfortunately for me, she beat me by one point, and I now had to go to a brony convention. One brony was tough enough to deal with, but at least 500? That was gonna be difficult.
"What are you even studying for?" called Bella.
"History! It's my worst subject."
"I could help you, if you agreed to dress for BronyCon!" she said in a singsong voice.
"NO! I am not going to dress up for a convention to get studying help!"
"Aw, come on Sky! I'm wearing a costume!"
"And I won't be wearing one!" I sighed, "Didn't you have to do something? Like buy a card for your mom or something?"
"Oh! I do need to! What time is it?"
I checked my watch before responding, "A bit before 10:00ish."
"Dang it! I have to get to the store before they close! I'll be back in fifteen!"
I heard the door open and close, and then the start of a car. Bella usually left things off until last minute, and this was no exception. I relaxed, now that Bella was there to nag me, and got back to studying.
"You shouldn't!" hissed a voice.
I looked up in alarm. Was someone there?
"It's just an experiment!" whispered a different voice.
"An experiment?" said the first voice, growing louder, "It could change a life!"
"It's only going to be temporary!" whispered the second voice, which sounded nearer.
Nervously, I got up from my desk and hid behind the side of my dresser. What were voices planning on doing?
"Wh-who's there?" I barely managed to whisper.
Suddenly, the windows and curtains flew shut, and the door was closed and locked. Petrified, I curled up into a ball and tried to be a quiet as possible.
"Hey you!" said the second voice, "Hiding in the corner! Come out!"
"This is a bad idea... This is a bad idea..." repeated the first voice.
I stayed in the corner, refusing to move. I was terrified, and didn't want anything to happen.
"It's okay." said the second voice, "You can stay in the corner. It might make it a bit more difficult, but it works just as well. Just stay still while I cast the spell so I can start conducting the experiment."
At this, I tried to stand up and just jump out the window, but a strong force help me in place. I felt pain searing through my body abruptly, and I also heard a glowing-noise. I fell on to my hands in pain when my hands started to feel tingly. Then, so did my legs, my body, and my head. I gritted my teeth as I felt blood rush to my ears and my sides. I closed my eyes as they started to feel tingly and painful as well. I started to cry out in pain as I felt needles on my scalp and my behind, and cried out more as I went numb in pain.
"Tw...t!" said the first voice, "St... 't.... hurting th...?!?"
I felt the pain slowly lift, as well as the force placed on me that kept me from fleeing. I was sprawled out on the ground, with my arms and legs sticking out. I didn't open my eyes, as they felt as if they had been bloated. But the worst feeling was in my sides. It felt as if there were huge bruises on my sides that were pointed straight upward.
"It worked!" said the first voice happily.
The second voice remained silent.
"Alright, I'm gonna need you to listen up." said the first voice with clear happiness, "One you open your eyes, you'll see that my spell has worked and I can start my experiment. For now, just do what you normally would, but if you see a violet envelope floating in front of you: do what it says inside, okay? I'll come by later to check on you. I still can't believe it worked!"
Though my eyes were closed, I could still tell that there was a bright flash of light. I was still lying on the ground, and I was aching all over.
"Ouch..." I mumbled to myself, "What happened?"
"I'm back!" came Bella's voice from the door, "Made it just before they closed!"
"Bella..." I mumbled, "Someone broke in or something..."
"Did you say something, Sky? I can barely hear you."
I heard Bella's footsteps come closer, and the door open.
"Sky? You okay- wait, what?!?"
I heard Bella run over to me and shake me vigorously.
"Bella..." I mumbled, "Someone broke in or something... And then I was in pain..."
"S-Sky?" she asked nervously, "Is th-that you?"
I finally opened my eyes, though they felt huge. I saw Bella kneeling beside me with a look of complete shock on her face.
"Yeah..." I said with more volume, "Why? What's wrong with me?"
"Um, stay here! I'll be right back!"
Bella ran quickly to the other side of the room. I was still lying on my side, so I couldn't really see what she was doing. I heard the sound of something being pushed over, and realized that I was the large, full length mirror that I had been given.
"Can you stand up?" asked Bella meekly.
"No. It aches too much."
Bella came back over to me and rolled me on to my stomach. I glanced up into the mirror, but saw a sight that was impossible to believe. Instead on seeing me on the ground next to my friend, I saw Bella with a concerned face, kneeling next to Rainbow Dash.
