Inside the friendship castle, in the dining room.

The mane six and the princess's along with Twilight's and Cadence's husbands were sitting at the dining table listening to Nyx as she told them what she learned from Eclipse today, but just as she got to the part with the arrival of Eclipse's mentor, the mare herself and her mentor was walking into the dining room.

Eclipse soon stopped before smiling at the group in the dining room. "Hello everypony" She said but before she can get any further she seen Shining armor get up from his seat as well summon one of his swords while staring at something behind her. 'He must think my mentor is a enemy.' "Shining wait, he is my mentor so please don't try and attack him." Eclipse added.

Vegetite Chuckled a bit before getting a look at everyone or everypony here to be persiced and he noted at least five strong other beings in the room besides himself and Eclipse, the strongest from the purple alicorn which must have been twilight with how the filly alicorn from earlier was scooting a little closer to her. He didn't dally long and decided to quickly defuse shining armor. "Be at ease Shining, I am only here to aid and finish my student's training." He said.

Princess Celestia and Luna glanced at each other with knowing look about this new arrival before leaning closer to whisper together. "Tia I can't sense anything from him, do you?" Luna said while staring at Vegetite. "Neither do I Lulu, but I see a certain aspect to him." Celestia answered while subtlety using a spell to see if she can further her sensing for this Vegetite's magic or power but she couldn't find anything. "Yes I do see that Tia, like he knows how to really fight, but he holds back, ether for fun or if he needs to I can't tell." Luna said.

But before the Royal sisters could continue their conversation, a third and all-new familiar voice entered joined them. 'It's a need because I have a slight fear of using to much power on any fight unless I know how powerful my opponent is.' Vegetite said which caused both of the sisters to look around till they seen Vegetite was in the same spot as before. 'Don't alert everyone that I can do this. But basically if I extend my powers enough I can talk to others though their mind but I can have a limit of two beings in general.' He thought to them.

Vegetite shifted his gaze from shining armor and his student to the Royal sisters before making his way over to them. "Excuse me but I wanted to ask if you two had a old, hidden and private training area so I can finish Eclipse's magic training, also I really want to kept a lockdown on this type of magic I will be teaching her. So if you want to watch then I will need to place a gias on you both because this type of magic MUST stay a secret." He said before looking out to his student, and to both Tia and Lulu's shock they noticed a thin but soundproof barrier around them. "I put the barrier up just as I begin talking, and I can sense that their is a gias on Twilight over there, most likely my students work." He added.

Both of the sisters looked at each other before they both nodded. "We do have our old training sanctuary we used to train on back before we assaulted King Sombra to help the Crystal Empire and before we...." Tia trailed off when she got there along with a slight sadden look that was quickly notice by her sister, who playfully bumped her with a smile." Oh cheer up Tia I said I was sorry for that and besides, we both know it won't ever happen again." Luna said before looking at Vegetite. "But my sister is correct, only problem is we have to show you to the Sanctuary and allow you inside, And we would like to see this magic as well." Luna added.

Vegetite cupped his chin while closing his eyes to think for a few seconds before reopening them. " Very well then but like I said you can NOT tell anyone or use it without my permission, though I am sure you don't want to even use it after seeing what it will do." He said before snapping his fingers to remove the barrier.

Soon Everybody had a more or less fun dinner, the most was when Vegetite nearly getting turned into a cactus due to him slightly putting Nyx in harms way, though it ended up hitting shining armor but everyone had a good laugh. But all good things come to the end when the time to sleep came around.

Inside the Dreamscape.

Luna floated though the dreamscape that she and only a very select few knew of (Mostly the ones she trusted the most to help her, after all helping the entire kingdom of ponies alone with nightmares will be stressing.) She looked at the closest dreams near her being the ones in the friendship castle along with Eclipse with the them. 'I still wonder how Eclipse became a alicorn in the first place, because If I remember right, me and Tia besides cadence were only ones born, unless-.' Luna's complete train of thought derailed quickly after she heard fast and rapid blasts coming from one dream, along with a few very loud one's as well.

She looked to the dream the noise was coming from to find out it was Vegetite's dream. "What's going on with Eclipse's mentor?" She asked to no one, but a voice was quickly heard though.

"Hey Sir! Where the hell is the Bomb squad? Did they got the Bomb set or not because I'm sure we can't hold them off forever." A male voice said, only to be answered soon. "The Bomb squad should be close to their target but i'll try and contact them. That is if I can, and I know, we can't hold them off forever." Vegetite Said.

This only caused more confusion in luna so she drifted into his dream to find out what, even though she might find something she might not like.

Vegetite's dream, Planet: unknown, Date: 7/23/5004

Luna's first sight of his dream just seemed like a barren waste land of a planet, besides the almost countless armored humanoid soldiers and mechanized vehicles and flying metal beasts, all of which are sends blasts of fire at one massive army.

Luna looked over to Vegetite, which only because of the armor she seen at dinner she could find him but this time he had a helmet and what looked like a long red striped spear but it fired red beam from the end. "Vegetite calling Bomb Squad come in, what is the status of the Bomb?" He yelled out but she didn't hear nothing besides the gunfire, until she heard the response

"T-This is P-Private Wilson, t-the commander is dead, e-everyone b-besides me is dead, b-but I did try and savage the commander's keys for the bomb but...but the bomb is gone. I-I locked myself inside a a-ammo depot, b-but the only thing left useful here is a "Vector" Missile I think." Wilson said. Vegetite he went from firing at what luna could only think is the emeny to the point like he was a statue.

Vegetite dropped his weapon entirely before bringing his hands up to view at what she thought was his wrist but soon found out a hologram popped up with a clear image of a rather big missile with the words V.E.C.T.O.R. on it. "PRIVATE DON'T YOU DARE ACTIVATED THAT MISSILE AND THAT IS A ORDER!!!!" He all but screamed. But it all was for not. Soon everyone and metal beast started giving off a red flash and shouting "Warning: Vector missile activated, get a minimum safe distance of 125 light years radius of target point."

Vegetite quickly kicked up his weapon from the ground to a perfect arc onto his back before calling out. "You heard the warning, it's time to leave right now!!!!!" Vegetite screamed before quickly trying to help his soldiers on the dropships, be it fully armored soldier or to a big green creature with a giant shield on one arm and a plasma cannon on the other.

Luna tried to keep up with Vegetite's quick movement but she soon fell behind, up till her head suddenly felt like trek decided to play hacky sack with her head and caused her to scream out in pain, she even tried to hold it when she felt the pain grow worse.

Vegetite froze along with the dream before having his head snapped to the sound, but once he seen who it was he rushed to Luna's aid, knowing why she screamed like she did. "Luna? What are you doing in my head, or dream if you want to be more correct." He asked.

Luna having her headache slowly disappear looked up at him before shaking her head. "I can enter dreams and help out those who need help with problems and nightmares but yours is strange, and why did I got a headache?" She asked.

Vegetite sighed before looking at the not so recently battle torn field. "For the first is this isn't a dream or nightmare, it's a memory from the "Last" fight with the Flood, and mythic Wilson's last combat, and for the second you must have gotten more the thirty feet from me, my head is dangerous Luna, I had seen almost god tier mind demons lose themselves in madness from trying to control it." He told her.

Luna gave that thought before looking at Vegetite. "Wait but I heard you call Wilson a private, not a mythic, why is that?" She asked.

He gave a chuckled before looking to where the dream/memory Wilson was. "Because he might have stopped the flood for good, even though he disobeyed a order to do it, I decided to give him that rank and a honorary place of fallen hero's." He said.

Soon both him and Luna continued talk, up till it was time for them to wake up for the day to come.

I'm back and here is the long overdue chapter 10, also if those of you are Gamers then you will most likely know what the battle was and I will say this, Halo and all rights go to the maker of halo, and if you want questions on why Vegetite leads them, well just pm me and i can tell you, but i might put it in the story later on.
