Harmony Incarnate

What is hope? I actually went to Twilight asking for a dictionary, because I wanted to know the definition. I bet you can guess what her face looked like. Twi actually took me to a lab room and hooked me up to different machines to check if I was okay! I was like,

"Chillax, Twi! I'm not sick or anything. I just want to borrow a dictionary. No biggie."

She still didn't seem convinced, but she gave me one anyway. So, the definition of "hope" is:

A feeling that what is wanted will happen; desire accompanied by expectation........so in non-egghead speak, it means having faith that something good will come out of the bad.

Now that I think about it, there are a few things around Ponyville that give me hope. A new sunrise powered by Princess Celestia, Pinkie Pie being her usual happy and random self, Twilight spending time with us. But the most common one for anypony, would have to be a rainbow. Ugh. Now I'm being all sappy. Whatever.

Being myself, I love the way rainbows arch across the sky after a storm. Kinda reminds me of my Sonic Rainboom. It can be seen from so far away and makes so many ponies happy.

The weird thing is, a lot of ponies around Ponyville say that I give them hope. What the hay? But, when I talked to my friends about it, they explained it. My rainbow trail lights up so many ponies hearts. I mean, sure I nap a lot. But, nopony has to worry about weather problems. I never leave Ponyville hanging.

My friends said that I bring them hope, too. With me around, they feel safe. Maybe it's because I'm willing to give up my life for any one of them. They mean so much to me. I will travel to the ends of Equestria if only to save them and be there. Maybe they only feel this way because I'm the Element of Loyalty? Or maybe there is more to it than that.

Does it have something to do with my Rainboom helping them get there cutie marks? Maybe I'll never know. All I know......is that whatever kind of awesome thing they think I can do......it is too late for that.

Discord betrayed us to Tirek, a major bad guy who an important wizard named Star Swirl locked away in Tartarus. I don't how how he escaped, but he was able to take our magic. When Discord saw how important loyalty was, he gave Twi the key we needed to open the chest from the Tree of Harmony. The power I felt was amazing! I felt like nothing could stop us. But I was wrong. Tirek did. And now, whatever hope I felt, that my friends felt, has been taken. There is no more hope.
