Spike was just finishing up his final chore, as twilight walked through the door, at first spike was exited to see twilight until he saw the sad look on her face, and he needed to know whats wrong.
"Twilight, are you ok?" Spike asked nervously, asuming he did something wrong.

" I promised i would get you a new bed, but the store manager said they wont have another one for another mounth" twilight addmitted, expecting spike to be sad.
"Its ok twilight ill just sleep on the couch" spike said with a smile, trying to cheer her up.
"Spike, you know it gets cold down here at night, and your a reptile, for you cold equals death"
"Then were am i supposed to sleep?"
"Hmm" twilight thought about this for a moment, only comming up with one sulution "youll sleep in my bed, okay?
"Okay twilight, thanks" spike said, accually releived he didnt have to sleep on the couch
" Why wouldnt i help out my number one assistant?" Twilight joked as she put her saddle bag down.
"Well need *yawn* anything?" spike asked still trying to be a good assistant
" What i need, is for you to get some sleep, you silly dragon" she said with a smile
" Are you sure?" spike questioned, he didnt wanna be a bother but he also wanted to be helpful.
"Yes spike, ill be fine, ill read a book then go to bed, okay?" twilight said feeling sorry for her sleepy friend
" Okay twilight, good night" spike said as he walked up the stairs, climed into twilights bed and driffted to sleep.
"Nite" the purple alicorn said as she turned to her book shelves
"Ok now that spikes up stairs ill figure out what thoes dreams hes been having are"she thought as she pulled out a book on dragon physioligy, sat down and started reading.
"...Dragon dreams... if a dragon has strange dreams, it usually just means there going through dragon puberty..." she read quietly to herself " dragon puberty? well that cant be bad" she thought to herself as she closed the book, " just a *yawn* normal thing, i should get to bed" she said to herself as she walked up to her room and lied down on the other side of the bed.
"Dreams are just dreams" she thought as she was drifting into slumber, but was intrupted by a cold feeling.
She opened her eyes to see spikes claw on her hoof, it was ice cold.
" Oh no he's cold, what do i do?" Twilight thought as she got an idea and got closer to spike, as soon as she touched him he rolled over in his sleep and hugged her, covering her wings. Being so close to spike, she figured they could share body heat so she just turned around to not face spike so that she could go to sleep, but she blushed a little knowing her butt was touching his leg, but she still slowly drifted off into slumber.
Twilight awoke to a feeling on her back, it took her awile to fully wake up but once she did she realized something was poking her, she turned her head as much as possible but couldnt see behind her, so she asumed it was just spike moving in his sleep, she was alrady half way asleep, when she heard something that really scared her.
" Oh rairity" spike said in a sleepy yet lustful tone.

With closer inspection she realized it was his bed, or what was left of it anyway.
"Spike what happened to your bed" Twilight said softly while walking closer to him.I"I...I... b..b..b..burned it with my fire breath in my sleep" he said clearing up his sniffles and turning to look at Twilight.
"Oh, is that all" she said with a smile and a chuckle. "I'll go out today and buy you a new one. ok?" she asked with a reassuring smile.
"thank you Twilight, I'll start my chores... and i'm sorry about the bed" spike said shifting his eyes away from Twilight
"Spike is there something your not telling me?" Twilight asked as she grabbed her saddle bag.
"If I told you you'd laugh" spike said starting to put some books away.
"Spike. I'd never laugh if you didn't want me to" Twilight said in a stern tone.
"Well i've been having these dreams about the mares in Pony Vill and... not the friendship kind well...kind of the opposite..."spike said trying not to tear up, until Twilight sat next to him giving a warm hug.
"It's ok spike dreams are just dreams just don't think about it. I promise that I'll talk to you about it later but there's a lot I have to do today so i have to go. Don't blow up the house while i'm gone" she said with a chuckle as she walked out the door.
