the last eclipse (script)

THE LAST ECLIPSE EP-8

as the screen opens up it appears in a small village haveing a party with big bonfires and music and life dancing all around with feasting and merriment and a big full moon in the sky with a alicorn head on it as the camera pans around we find fillies and colts haveing fun running flying and playing tag under the feet of their elders and even the older ponies look like there ready to get up and dance a jig and there are timber wolves dispersed in the crowd some with small one on their backs but most just enjoying the company of friends as the night moves on and the fires die down a Lil bit the camera focus on a small colt jumping between and older grizzled pony

pan:luna's coming back luna's coming back luna's coming back

and with a look up at his grandfather

pan:papa who is luna

and with a broad grin

papa:well ill one she's our mother. the one who saved use from the cold and brought use into the light of the full moon. she has been gone a long time but now she will come back to us

pan:(in a fast high pitch voice)when will she be here what is she like what's she looks like

papa:wow lol slow down is not as spare as you

at that moment, two ponies a male and female that look a lot like pan come up laughing

pans mom:hey dad can you watch this lol one for the night  he looks tired

pan:(in a stubborn voice)no I'm not(then in a later voice)I want to see luna

pans dad:now flutter you can let the colt have a night

(pans mom) looks to (pans dad) and with a roll of her eyes looks at papa then seeing something looks at  Pan

pans mom:fine only if he can get more wood for the fires

papa:don't worry lass ill look after the ill one

and with that pan start to jump some more than with a look from his mom stops as she and pans dad turn to go pan starts up again asking a million questions at his papa as they go into the woods and papa trying to answer them all

after a little while of walking a dark shadow frees itself from a branch and heads back the way they came a Lil bit after that

papa: now remember pan only gather from the ground we don't take from the living for they still need it

pan:yes papa. I bet I find more than you

with a big grin, pan runs into the woods looking for a dead brush

papa:don't get too far little one stay in my sight

but at this point papa is grinning too and starts to pick up the dead brush and putting it into a pile.when the pile it a good size

papa:ok pan I think you won

pan:cool what did  I win

papa:the bigger pile little one (a good laugh)

pan:aww

papa:don't worry little one how bout after we get back we sneak some zinger cakes from the ovens

and with that pan parked up and grinned real broad then, we hear the blood-curdling screams of the village and the howls of the dying

papa:pan stays here ill be right back you stay here no matter what

as papa runs into the woods the night grows quite  pan starts to hear it close in around him and letting it scare him until he backs up onto the pile of twigs and as one snaps underfoot he bolts into the woods toward home but as he nears it all he hears are the fires dying down and a single pony crying in the night and as he approaches he finds his papa standing over two mounds all you can see it their manes and the green tips of the pegasse outstretched wings then as the camera zooms out you see the entire village covered in shapeless mounds of timberwolves and ponies alike

papa:we have to go little one we have to get some were safe

as he picks up a staff the one used by pan today and a book he takes pan into the woods as he does so the camera pans to the view of the sky and from where luna is crying and sitting she sees a dark shadow open its eyes white

as pan wakes up a single tear is in his eye as he looks over the camp of sleeping ponies and the darken coals then he looks into the woods and wipes the single tear away and as he sits the luna walks up silently and wraps her wing around him

luna:do...do you wish for me to take that nightmare away my child

pan:......no....its all I have left remember them by

as pan leans into luna and for the longest time as he just cries a single tear for those whom he has lost

as the camera pans up to the sky
