Lunar Eclipse

More than a thousand years ago a great battle between the two pony sisters and the tyrant king Sombra took place. The battle was long and hard fought the tide of battle changing every attack. But the two pony sisters eventually prevailed but at a cost. Just before they struck down the evil tyrant he performed a spell making the entity of the Crystal empire and any traces of it even existing vanish into the frozen waistland in which it resided. The two sisters looked at each other and then to the empty tundra which used to be the the Crystal empire and returned to their home where they rule equestria as equals. At least that's what Celestia thinks.

Three days later.

"I shall see you in the morning dear sister. May you dream of happiness and pleasures" said Luna to her sister.

"I shall Luna, just please don't look at my dreams any more" Celestia responded.

"Dont worry Tia with the magic barrier around your room I am unable to do so anyway which I suppose was your intention " Luna said eyeing her sister.

"It was" Celestia responded again.

Later that night after the princess of the Sun had went to bad and her dear sister stood upon her balcony a dark clouded figure snaked through the jungle around the castle. The figure stopped outside of the castle and searched for an entrance. It took notice of the alicorn on the balcony but she wasn't his target, it wanted Celestia. After searching and finding an entrance it began its hunt for the Sun princesses room. When it found the room however it was unable to enter it, after a few tries it decided the room was magically sealed and its current magic was far from strong enough to break the seal. Realizing that however it remembered the pony on the balcony.

Snaking through the castle shifting through the shadows it reached the room of Princess Luna. Pushing itself through the door with its cloudy body it took notice that Luna was still on her balcony. While it couldn't break the seal on her sisters room it could render Luna in a brain dead state. After rendering Luna a nonfactor the figure began to retake its physical form. It's purple and green eyes began to show with their burning essence coming off of them. Along with its eyes its blood red horn and razor sharp teeth began to show as well. When its transformation finished the dark figure was the currently thought dead King Sombra. His original plan was to kill Celestia and leave the entity of the kingdom to be ruled by the inexperienced Luna and eventually take over later. However with his current predicament he decided he would have to do with Luna, but just before he did the dead a thought crossed his mind. The thought began to grow along with his enthusiasm, he wouldn't kill Luna instead he would do something much different. As he finished making up his mind the wanting of his body for the dead he was to commit began to grow and it was wanting.

The next morning.

"Luna, Luna are you ok LUNA please answer LUNA"! screamed Celestia wanting to know what is going on with her sister.

"Uggh huh wha what happen aghh my head " Luna said waking up dazed and confused.

"LUNA PLEASE ANSWER"! Screamed Celestia bursting through the door.

"I'm ok Tia I just have somehow fallen asleep. How how is the Sun up and where is the moon" Luna she'd recovering from what she associated with a hang over.

"I lowered the moon and raised the sun it was very tiresome and I ask of you to not have me do it again, I apologize for sounding rude as well " Celestia said comforting her sister.

"It's ok I will try my best to not do it again " Luna responded.

"Thank you Luna, now let's have something to eat" suggested Celestia.

"I would very much enjoy that, thank you Tia" Luna said rising to her hooves shakiy.

Over the next few weeks Celestia began to notice something....off about her sister. Celestia noticed Luna being more sluggish in the morning along with having pains, as well her usual orderly dining habits have all but vanished as she consumes just about any viable food source without hesitation or reason mixing and matching a variety of foods and condiments. After two months of this happening Celestia decided she'd had enough and ordered her sister to visit one of the royal physicians. While Celestia could easily use her own magic to check on her sister, the royal physicians were much more suited for the magic required. Once they were finally able to calm Luna down and get her in one of the chairs the physician began to ask various questions answered by both Celestia and Luna both.

Once finished with the questionnaire the unicorn lit his horn and began to gaze over Luna his horn changing in intensity the longer it went on. This continued for a few more seconds until he stopped dead, his gaze fixated on Lunas stomach his eyes seemingly growing as time went on. "So what is it" asked luna, the physician leaving his trance at the question and starred at Celestia and Luna.

"Uhm well how do I say this princess Luna your-your carrying a foal" said the physician nervously.

Celestia stood a statue looking at the unicorn in front of her hoping he would say something else or something that she could fix but he said nothing. As for Luna all the color seemed to have left her form as she sat mouth a gap fear in her eyes. Celestia lit her horn and fired at the physician and then teleported her and her sister back to her chambers. "Celestia why would you do that, what did you do to that poor pony" Luna managed to say with her still extremely pale.

"Dont worry Luna I only wiped his memory of the check up, I'm sorry I over reacted" Celestia said looking at the ground in disappointment of herself.

This trend would continue for the months to come Celestia would wipe the memories of any pony who realised the truth. At first Luna didn't want the foal and had no intention of having any for quite a while but at the time no magic was capable of ridding a mare of an unwanted foal, but as time went on her mood changed and she began to like the fact she would be a mother even having decided the name of her young one. Along with the foal and Lunas love for it something else was growing, a dark essence bent on taking over Luna and getting rid of her sister. However something was stopping it, something strong, powerful, and hungry very very hungry.

Soon the months went by and the idea that Luna was pregnant among the castle work ponies became ever more present as her 'baby belly' began to show more and more. Then one day it happened, 12 long grueling hours of pain and agony and torture took place before the foal came into the world. Luna looked into the eyes of her new foal. Her new daughter. She looked so much like her mother, the same dark coat and starry hair, along with it her eyes interestingly enough were a dark purple in one eye and a grean in the other. Luna named her daughter Lunar eclipse, after the event that transpired due to her birth. The weeks go by and on the surface luna cares for her young filly like any mother would, but beneath the loving exterior the evil presence grows ever more rapidly slowly corrupting Lunas subconscious, but something was still stopping it from taking over and yet not nearly as much as it used to. Sadly however one day the evil force took over turning Luna into the monster mare Nightmare Moon. The battle between Nightmare Moon and Celestia would go down in history along with the outcome, but what no one knows is what Celestia did after the battle.

Having thwarted Nightmares plan the first thing Celestia did was go and check on Lunar eclipse only to find the room she and her mother shared had been destroyed, no doubt by Nightmare Moon. Celestia looked and looked for the filly but could never find her, the only hint of her fate was the moon rattle her mother gave to her, shattered to pieces next to her charred crib.

1000+ years later.

"Umm Celestia we've gotten some more information involving the hospitalization of the 12 ponies last week" said an informant pony.

"Is it on the identity of the pony reslonsible, and if yes, any distinguished features ponies have mentioned".

"Uhh yes your majesty from what we've gathered they say the pony looks like, well looks like princess Luna".
