Revolting. That was all she could think of while pushing her way through the crowds and mobs of ponies. She never understood why they all cramped themselves into this city and why they all looked at her strangely, not that she cared for the last part but nonetheless. All she cared for in this city was finding food and to be able to finish without being interrupted. Her last feeding was less the exemplary having been caught in the act, she'll be it that it was in the middle of the day in a busier part of town but that happened a while ago in a different town. Manehattan was the closest marked peace of civilization to where she was previously at so she reluctantly came here; and while the local wildlife animals, plants etc could sustain her nothing was as delicious as pony even if she was one herself. Luckily for her she had known a spell that would change her appearance enough to not be spotted should a pony recognize her actual appearance. What she looked like wasn't on her mind at the moment however, the only reason she still being here in this city was a mare she spotted departing off the train. She would make an excellent meal and would last her a while, the only problem was the mare had friends. Now she knew her strength and power and could easily take them but she didn't want to draw any unnecessary attention towards herself and knew starting a fight would do just that. In truth anypony would suffice her hunger but each one had their own taste and the mare she had decided to be her meal would no doubt taste exquisite. She had a pristine white coat with an extravagant lavender mane and she wore what she guessed was a hoof made dress for it matched her figure perfectly. She stayed a good distance away from the group of mares and small purple thing to remain as non-conspicuous as possible but even then with her extremely dark coat she stuck out like a sore hoof amongst all of these other ponies. It showed as well since the mares knew she had been following them, the one to first notice being the one she was after.

"Rarity theres no need to worry. Gals probably just heading to work or somethin" said the orange earth pony amongst the group.

"Yes that is true but I am more than certain I spotted her at the train station and she's been following us since" Rarity said shooting a quick glance over her shoulder to the strange unicorn following them. "Besides what normal pony goes around following ponies and ohh this heat its going to ruin this dress and i spent so much time on it" she said both worried about the stranger following them and her new dress.

The other mares laughed at her final comment but Twilight had to admit that if this mare had been following them there had to be a reason. luckily she would have some time to think it over since she and her friends had reached their destination; they all began to scale the massive building with their eyes, it reaching high into the sky.

"you sure Celestia couldn't have given us something less um...big" said the cream colored pegasus who was shaking in fear at the hight of the structure before them.

"I'm afraid not Fluttershy, Celestia said she would want us to have total privacy and not have to worry about anypony getting involved; thats also why she has us on the top floor" Twilight said trying to comfort her friend only to realize she probably should have left out the last part.

All Fluttershy could do was shake more as she stared up to the top of the building terrified out of her mind despite having gone to Clousdale on more than a handful of occasions. The group of mares entered the building having needed to drag Fluttershy with them and Rarity giving a glance to where she had last seen the strange pony only to find she had gone, as she let out a sigh of relief as across the street the mare chuckled to herself a bit at what she had done and contemplated toying with the mare a bit more but the rumbling of her stomach suggested other wise. Manehattan was called the city that never sleeps for a reason but she would be able to find a location to dine in peace once night fell, and it just so happened thats when the mars all decided to go out for some fun and see the sights so to speak while doing what had been assigned to them before any more ponies got hurt.

"Twilight darling when are you going to put down that news article and come join me and the girls for some fun" Rarity asked as she covered her face in makeup in the other room.

"I'm surprised your actually going out with the way you acted this morning besides I still can't figure out what pony could have done this these innocent ponies" Twilight responded reading the headline again for the hundredth or so time.

"I'll be the first to admit that this morning was a bit odd but as long as we stick together we'll be fine" she said walking over to Twilight and pulling the news article out of her face "now I hope youll join me and everypony else for some quality time in Manehattan" Rarity walked back into the previous room and began to finish her makeup.

Twilight looked towards Rarity and then to the article as much as she hated to admit a little fun couldn't hurt, and unlike rarity she was relatively ready at the moment anyway and gathered up a few bits so they could enjoy the sights. Once they were finally ready to go Twilight and her friends set off for a night of fun and in a chance to ask a few questions about any odd doings having happened anytime soon. The girls left their dragon friend Spike to maintain the apartment and the first thing he did was read the headline of the article Twilight was reading. In all caps and bold were the words TWELVE HOSPITALIZED, ONE NEARING DEATH. Deciding not to read any more he picked the article up and put it with Twilights things. Little did he or his friends know that the mysterious pony they were looking for was getting ready to strike upon his next meal.
