Warriors of Harmony

Deep within a castle, secluded from Equestrian society, a hooded mare looked around. Her world had been torn asunder, a war was escalating, and she had a plan. A plan that will rectify the very mistake she had done in the first place. She sighed, gazing at the ground in a saddened manner, disappointed in herself once again.

Solar gritted her teeth. She cannot believe it had come to this. The mare knew what was coming. And she needed heroes. Heroes who were able to counter this threat.

Indeed, she needed heroes. But it wasn't just about Doctor Doom at this point, and not just his Cabal, formed together with various enemies from the heroes she had met. No, the reason she needed them now was because of something else.

The glowing mare looked at the book, reading the entries from Starswirl the Bearded. An ancient evil was coming, one she had hoped been destroyed. A shadow capable of destroying reality. A being fueled by eternal conflict.

And that was not all. Sometime after Doom's takeover, Solar figured out there was an entire following to this being. Said cult intended to use this war to their advantage, and resurrect the very being they have believed in for generations. Solar knew that it was all a ruse, and she alone could not stop Doom and his Cabal at this point.

That was when she remembered what brought Doom to her world in the first place. A spell to summon a warrior. She decided to repeat the action, but this time ensured that the heroes she were looking for were good, pure, and strong. A sigh escaped her lips, knowing that this time, she believed that she can save them.

So, by focusing her energy to her horn, Solar began to use the spell she used once before. She had been waiting for this moment, the day her world can be saved. The spell would take some time to summon the six she needed, but she knew that once they came together, then it will all be worth it.

A single light appeared, bringing the first of the heroes. He was a green humanoid creature, with a shell, red mask, and sai strapped to his belt. Raphael groaned, standing on one knee. "W-What the shell was that?" he asked slowly, wondering what happened. Shaking his head, he got his bearings and looked around the dark castle, only seeing a single source of light.

"Solar?" Raph asked in disbelief.

'Greetings, Raphael. It has been a while, hasn't it? I hope I did not interrupt anything important on your world.' Solar apologized to the ninja turtle.

Raphael crossed his arms, "Nah. It's been a little too quiet. Shredder's been missin' and his cronies are really the only ones doin' anything. But we"ve been takin' them out no problem. I assume I'm here for the mission you wanted?"

Solar nodded, 'Yes. I have found the ones who will be joining you on this quest.' as she said that, another bright light enveloped the room, brining the next hero.

It appeared to be a portly man, wearing a red hat with an 'M' on the center, blue overalls, white gloves and a bushy mustache. Mario held his head. "Mama mia..." he groaned, still reeling from the sudden teleportation brought upon him. He opened his eyes, adjusting to the darkness of the castle.

"Um... Solar?" Mario asked, seeing the pony, "Is-a that-a you?"

Raphael looked at Mario in disbelief, "Are ya kiddin' me? He looks like someone out of a freaking video game!" he grunted at the sight of the plumber.

"He probably is."

Raphael and Mario turned their heads at the sound of the deep voice. The turtle pulled out his trusty sai, the blades gripped onto his hands. The plumber also got ready for a fight. But Solar remained still, knowing who it was. The sound of footsteps were heard and the sight of glowing blue eyes made them curious.

The figure wore a strange cowl with pointy ears, a black cape and a bat symbol on his chest, he seemed to wear a gray armor with gauntlets with scallops on his wrist. Batman narrowed his gaze at the sight of Raphael and Mario, looking at the turtle, "It's been a while, Raphael." he greeted in a stern tone.

Raphael lowered his weapons, "What the shell are you doin' here, Bats?" he wondered.

Solar raised a brow under her hood, 'You two know of each other? I had no idea.'

The turtle nodded, "Yeah. We met when General Krang warped my brothers and I to his world where we had to stop Shredder from rulin' both our worlds with some sciency device. Learned a lot while I was there."

"I see you're still as stubborn as ever." Batman mocked with a smirk.

"And I see you're still broodin' as usual." Raph teased back.

Mario nodded, "So, at-a least we have some-a chemistry. That's-a good start I-a suppose."

The Dark Knight raised a brow at the sight of Mario, "Who are you?"

"It's-a me, Mario!" Mario introduced himself, "And who-a are you two supposed to-a be?"

Raph shrugged, "Call me Raphael."

"I'm Batman." Batman revealed.

Mario nodded, "Okie dokie!"

'And so half of you are here. We must await the rest of the team before I can begin elaborating as to why you are here in the first place.' Solar explained.

"And I hope that's soon." groaned Raph.

Suddenly, a blue blur zipped by, gaining the attention of the three, but for some reason, a grin appeared on Mario's face, almost as though he recognized it. Then, finally stopping, a blue being was able to be seen in the darkness. "Alright. This is new, I'll admit. Usually I end up in a book or in a lit up street. So, is there anyone willin' to explain what the heck is goin' on?"

Batman sighed with his observation, "A blue hedgehog... With superspeed. First ninja turtles now this."

"I definitely heard a voice." the hedgehog said, turning his head in various directions.

"Sonic?" Mario wondered.

The hedgehog, Sonic, looked to his side, "Okay, that voice sounds familiar."

"It's-a me, Mario!" Mario called out.

Sonic grinned, "Oh, hey Mario!" he greeted, "I didn't think I'd see you so soon."

The plumber tipped his cap, "It's a long-a story."

The blue hero raised his hands, "Eh. I already got the basics of it if you're here as well. Somethng tells me we're about to save a world that's in ruins or something like that." he turned his head, "Oh, didn't see ya there. So, uh, who are you guys exactly?" the hedgehog questioned, pointing to the other two heroes standing by as he and Mario reunited.

Batman and Raph introduced themselves to Sonic, who nodded, "Cool. I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. I take it we're a part of that team that strange mare mentioned? Kinda strange, but I've seen weirder."

"You sound indifferent to what's happening." Batman observed.

Sonic shrugged, "When you've seen the things I've seen, you kinda grow used to strange things happening. Heck, this probably isn't the first time we've been warped to Equestria."

'That is correct, Sonic.' Solar noted. 'We're in my universe. The rest of the team is coming in a moment. I am surprised that some of you have already joined forces, so that makes introductions a little easier. Though, I am not sure if you have met the last two that are arriving soon.'

The hedgehog crossed his arms, "I see. Certainly eases the process, that's for sure."

"You certainly seem nonchalant about all this, Sonic." Raph commented. "Wait... Were ya a hedgehog that dipped into mutagen in your universe?" he wondered.

Sonic shook his head, "Nope! I was born this way, dude. Judgin' by your looks, you kinda look like a ninja. Am I correct in that assumption?"

Raph pulled out his sai, "Yep. Trained by my father, Master Splinter with my brothers. We hide in the shadows where we can't have anyone see us."

The hedgehog raised a brow, "You can't be seen? My friends and I are considered world heroes in my universe. Then again, I think they accepted us after we foiled Eggman's plans time and again."

"I wish it were that easy." Raph sighed.

A light appeared again, this time revealing a person clad in blue with a helmet a darker shade. Clanging was heard as he stepped forward slowly, "Woah. My optics need to adjust he commented to himself." he then saw the figures standing in the darkened room, seeing two familiar faces. "Mario? Sonic?"

Sonic smirked, "Hehe. I had no idea you were gonna be here, Mega Man! Oh, meet Batman and Raphael, I take it you're on this ragtag team to save the world?"

"I guess so. A hooded pony came to me in my moment of doubt and convinced me to join." Mega Man explained, smiling at Batman and Raphael, "Nice to meet you both."

"A kid? Solar brought a freakin' kid?" Raph asked in disbelief.

Mario grunted, "This is-a not a kid. Mega Man is something-a else..." he gestured to the kid, seeing his hand morph into a cannon, surprising Raph and even Batman.

"Um... I'm a robot." Mega Man explained. "I don't know if that's weird to you or not."

"Not really." Raph assured.

Batman looked at the robot, "So, you were given an appearance of a child. Deceptive."

"Um... Thanks. I really wasn't meant for combat though." Mega Man chuckled.

One last beam of light appeared, making the five step back. Finally, there was the last hero. He wore a red costume, with bug eyes, blue sleeves, with lines in the shape of webs covering his spandex and a small spider symbol on his chest. "Jeez..." groaned the costumed individual, "I may get sick..." he groaned, holding his aching head. "Ugh. So that's what unicorn teleportation feels like." he gagged a little after saying that.

Batman scowled, "Spider-Man."

Spider-Man shook his head, "Deep voice, man in ridiculous costume... Yep, it's you Batman. Are you the same one I met not too long ago?" he asked.

"I don't think so. I was stranded in Equestria to stop Ra's Al Ghul." Batman explained. "Solar mentioned that we come from different universes all together."

Spider-Man nodded, "Right. Just wanted to be sure." he looked down, "Mega Man? I didn't think that you of all people would show up." he pointed out.

Mario and Sonic shared a glance, "You know-a him, Rock?" Mario asked.

Mega Man nodded, "Yeah. Our worlds crossed paths to defeat Onslaught, Abyss and Galactus. He and I worked together the first two times while Zero joined the fight against Galactus while I was with you two in that Smash tournament."

"Oh great. More crossovers..." Raph grunted.

Peter did a double-take on what he saw, "What the-- you're a ninja turtle..."

"Uh, yeah. Thanks for pointin' that out, moron."

Deciding not to push the subject, Peter decided to shrug that thought aside, after all he knew how bizarre this team was going to be from the beginning. "Nevermind. So, I heard about you two from Mega Man. You're Mario and Sonic. Rock told me about you guys once upon a time. Gotta say, it's a pleasure to meet you both."

"Likewise, Spidey." Sonic greeted.

'And with that...' Solar began to say, 'The six of you are here.'

After she said that, the torches in the castle lit up, finally bringing light to the once dark room. "Alright, Solar. Where the shell are we at now?"

Solar hung her head, 'We are in a castle hidden within my Equestria. The magic here is blocked, meaning that I am able to come here without worrying about him coming here should I have done something like this. After waiting and searching for so long, it is about time I brought you here.'

"Alright, you only came to me once. Why are we here exactly?" Mega Man wondered.

Sighing, Solar continued, 'Dark times have plagued this world. A war is coming, unlike anything any of our worlds have ever seen before.' she revealed.

"That doesn't really answer our question, pony version of Madame Web." Spider-Man quipped.

"Must you always joke, Peter..." Batman muttered.

Shrugging, Spider-Man replied, "Hey, someone's gotta keep the levity."

"You should meet my brother, Mikey..." Raph whispered inaudibly.

Solar cleared her throat, 'If you are done speaking nonsense, allow me to continue.'

"Right. Go ahead, Solar." Sonic gestured. He wanted to know what was happening and even he was willing to stop joking around if it was serious.

'Anyway. A tyrant has come to this world due to my stupidity. My biggest mistake was bringing him here to fight the battles I should have done in the first place. Spider-Man knows who he is, as does Sonic after his trip in Equestria.' Solar explained, using her horn to create an image.

"Doctor Doom..." Sonic and Spider-Man growled under their breath. The person in question was a man with metal limbs, a metal mask and wore a cloak that covered their shoulders and connected to a hood. Spider-Man didn't recognize the armor, meaning that he upgraded in his absence.

"You two know who he is?" Raphael asked.

"I only fought him while I was in Equestria. I think Spidey over here has more to say about this guy. Hopefully." Sonic corrected the turtle, pointing to the wall-crawler.

"Yeah, I know him. He's an egotistical tyrant that rules over his own country. He supposedly vanished sometime ago, I had no idea he was doing this. Wait, what is he doing anyway?" Spider-Man questioned.

Solar spoke, 'Ever since he showed up, he slowly and surely took control of Equestria, deeming it primitive. He gained power he shouldn't have and took the throne by force. He slaughtered countless threats to Equestria mercilessly and made himself the ruler of Equestria, sitting in his throne in Canterlot, now Neo-Latveria. At first I thought it was a good change, but he grew mad, waging war against anyone who was deemed a threat to his rule.'

"That kinda sounds like Doom." Peter admitted, "So, it's just us against him?"

'Not quite. Tell me, you five.' Solar gestured to the heroes sans Spider-Man, 'Have you noticed anything strange since your return from the Equestrias you visited?'

"Yeah. Shredder vanished." Raph commented.

"So, did Wily..." Mega Man hummed.

"So did Ra's... Are you saying what I think you're saying?" Batman growled in anger.

'Unfortunately yes. Doctor Doom has allied with your old foes, claiming to work with them in reformation, but they too have gone mad with power.' the hooded mare showed images of the heroes' foes: Shredder, Bowser, Eggman, Wily, and Ra's Al Ghul. 'Together they formed a Cabal, and the ponies love them.'

"Wait what?" Sonic asked in disbelief, "But they're the bad guys!"

'That's what we think. But to the public, all they've done is advance technology, end any threat and protect them. In actuality they've sought the destruction of our worlds, with the exception of Doom in this case. So, we are against the order on this one.' she discussed briefly.

"What else is new..." Spider-Man muttered.

'And not only that, but Doom has picked ponies that can represent this world and his order.' Solar added, showing more images from her horn. A dragon, a blue unicorn, and a teal pegasus. 'All once close to the former Elements of Harmony: Spike, Trixie, and Lightning Dust.' she saw Spider-Man cringe upon hearing two of those names, knowing of his connection to them.

"You alright, Spidey?" Sonic asked with concern.

Sighing, Spider-Man replied, "Yeah, I think... I'll explain later."

'The reason why I chose the six of you is because you have learned about Equestria. And yourselves. I need that. Together you all are Equestria's last hope. Each of you have an emotional connection to this world, with Spider-Man having the biggest of all of you.' the mare continued. 'Now there's something you all should know...'

"It's not the Cabal we're just going against is it?" Batman figured out.

"Are you-a detective or-a something?" Mario commented.

Solar smirked, 'I see you figured it out, Batman. Yes, there's a threat hiding in the shadows. A cult dedicating itself to a dark evil that is fueled by this conflict. This war against the Cabal and the Rebels of Equestria are incidentally fueling it. With you six here, we can stop this and end their plans before reality is destroyed.'

"Reality itself? So much for easy..." the turtle grunted.

"I gotta admit. Didn't see that coming." Sonic noted.

With the stakes now known to the six, Solar spoke up again, 'Indeed. But I can depend on the six of you to save the world in our darkest times.'

"No pressure..." groaned Spider-Man, crossing his arms.

Mega Man felt a little nervous, really not having to deal with a threat on this scale. But he at least knew Mario and Sonic to deal with this, so he eased up a little. "So... What do we do now?"

'I will warp you to a hidden part of the Everfree Forest so you may meet Luna and the Rebels near Zecora's hut hidden underground now. From there, I will reveal who I am to you there. But I will warn you. We may be cloaked from here, but once you're outside, Doom may be able to track you and send a small resistance after you. Be ready to fight.'

Sonic stretched his limbs, "I was born ready for this."

Batman cracked his knuckles, "Let's get this over with."

"It's ninja time..." Raph whispered for his brothers.

Mega Man raised his Mega Buster, "I'll do anything to help."

Spider-Man double checked his webshooters, "I'll do whatever it takes to protect this world."

Mario nodded, "Let's-a go!"

Solar smiled softly, 'Very well. I wish you six good luck, Warriors.

And with that, the Warriors were teleported away to find the Lunar Princess. After that, Solar vanished as well, removing her hood, revealing a long rainbow flowing mane and a long horn on her head as well as wings.
