Chapter 1: Shining Armor and Two Guards
Shining Armor sat at his old desk with a smirk on his face, happy to be back in his old office as Captain of the Royal Guard. Despite being a loyal guard dedicated to his work, he had found many of his assignments and duties to be fairly dull and others loathsome. A knock on the door quickly snapped his mind out of his thoughts. He voiced permission to enter, greeted by two Royal Guards who saluted him. The two guards -one a brown earth pony stallion with a black mane and tail, the other a red pegasus stallion with yellow tipped wings and a red and yellow mane and tail- entered his office and closed the door behind them.
“Corporal Flamewing and Private First Class Oakheart reporting for duty, sir,” both stallions said in unison. The red pegasus immediately approached Shining’s desk whilst the earth pony seemed hesitant, causing his captain to give a slight frown. “I received your letter containing the debriefing and went to get him immediately,” the pegasus informed his captain. “However, I’m afraid to say that he feels conflicted about the task at hoof.”
Shining was taken aback by the revelation; however, he had a hunch. He cleared his throat and then turned to the earth pony. “Private First Class Oakheart, you have a marefriend, correct?” Oakheart nodded slowly, leading Shining to continue. “In that case, I understand your reservations about this assignment. Having a marefriend whom you love dearly only to be requested to mate with a princess in heat is quite a difficult situation; therefore, I won’t hold anything against you should you feel that you cannot perform this task.”
Oakheart gave a sigh of relief. “Thank you, Cap-“; he was cut off by his captain.
“That being said, keep in mind why I requested you. The princess is in heat and alicorns have not only a longer heat cycle, but also a far more intense one,” Shining warned him. “The reason I chose you and Corporal Flamewing is because Princess Celestia deserves the best and you two are the most well-equipped in the entire Royal Guard.” His words caused Flamewing to chuckle and Oakheart to blush. “So, even though I won’t punish you for declining, it’s very important to keep in mind what you are backing out of and how badly the princess needs your help.”
Oakheart sighed and nodded, “Captain, can you promise me that this will be a secret between us and Princess Celestia? The last thing I need is for my marefriend to find out about this.”
Shining nodded. “This ritual is always a secret between those involved. Nopony except for you and you alone, should you choose to, will tell your marefriend.”
Oakheart nodded and sighed again. “In that case, count me in.”
Flamewing smiled and gave Oakheart a nudge, “Ha! That’s the Oakheart I know and love! I knew you wouldn’t be able to refuse an offer to bang the most beautiful princess of Equestria.” Oakheart facehoofed and Shining rolled his eyes, he would have to disagree with Flamewing’s opinion.

Celestia wants to be seen as a mare in need and not as a princess, understood?” Both stallions nodded and he continued. “Also, do a good enough job and there will likely be a promotion in store. Now let’s go; we’ve got a mare to tend to.”
The other two stallions nodded once more. “Flamewing, you’ve done this before so remember what you did last time. Oakheart, just observe, think of what she might like, and do what she asks for,” said Shining. He opened the door and led them out of his office, closing the door behind them.
The journey to Celestia’s bedchamber was relatively uneventful save for a hushed remark Flamewing made about Oakheart’s marefriend being jealous about not being invited should she find out. They reached the doors to her quarters, greeted by two guards. Knowing Shining’s intentions, one of the guards gave the three stallions a playful smirk before letting them in and closing the door behind them. Having kept an eye on the door, she gave the stallions a playful smile. “You’re on time, Shining, I can tell that Cadence has done well to teach you not to keep a mare waiting.” She then turned her attention to Flamewing. “Ah yes, Flamewing, it’s a pleasure to see you again after how you treated me last time. She giggled and then rolled her eyes before turning to Oakheart. “So you must be Oakheart? Flamewing nodded before turning to Oakheart. “You want to join in or would you rather wait for the next round?”
