Third day of captainship

Dear diary, this is my third day in my life as captain, still havn't got a crew, nor my hat or my coat, but those are being made, and crew I will most likely meet..

So, I woke up this morning, stretching my hooves, i looked at Azure on the couch, and felt like i smiled, but as i looked in the mirror I found out I had that unpleasant, sad expression on my face i've been having ever since my father died, anyway..

As I said, I looked at Azure, and I noticed he was still sleeping...I decided to leave him asleep for a little longer, and walked towards my mechanical arms, stood under it and gave the button a push, the large thing would decend down upon me and connects with the nerves in my wings, which is...A rather painful experience, making me scream in pain..At which Azure woke up and said with an annoyed, cranky, voice: "Aggh...What was that..?"

I blinked and looked at him, saying: "O-oh..Ngg...H-hello...That was..Agg..M-me..", groaning in afterpain..He gave me a rather..Confused look, i tried to smile while saying "Hands.." but most likely failed, he asked what it does...

And i simply explained: "It allows m-me to do things i...Ngg..Can't do with hooves...Humans are..Born with hands.."..

He looked at them in disgust, obviously not really liking the looks of it.."Well it's pretty weird, anyways, It's like 5 in the morning, I better go to sleep, take care next time ok?" he said...I gave him my glare for that, "Sleep? Now? are you crazy?" i asked him,

Azure yawned loudly, "I need my sleep to recover my strength, I'll be guarding the road where you've been almost caught by those dragons." he brought out.."Even though it's closed for the moment, It's my duty to protect." he continued, and yawned again, then instantly dropped to sleep..

"S-so you don't want to be part of my c-crew?" i asked him, but he didn't hear me, i grunted and went outside, to my house, opened the door and walked upstairs towards the workshop...On my way there i encountered the piano...And i played a little tune, singing abit, for my dead father...Nopony of my age should be all alone like this..No father, no mother, no brother no sister...Nopony of my age should have to see their father die..

A few hours later I was still playing, silly me..."Gizmo, is that you?" i heard..Seemingly i woke Azure up, i didn't respond and kept playing.."Gizmo, you alright?..I'm sorry to interrupt, I'll just leave you alone.."

That's where I closed the piano with a bang, and told him to stay.."What's wrong Gizmo?..Is something wrong?" he asked..

So I walked towards him and hugged him tightly.."What's bothering you? Now if you need any help just tell me." he asked on..

I tightened my grip and said "P-please..Just...H-hug me...I-i'll tell you..W-when i'm done crying..." he seemed embarrassed.at the situation, but still hugged me back...Which cheered me up a little, i was done crying in about a minute...

"Alright, can you now please tell me the problem? We don't wanna get stuck on each other for a week" he said,

and i followed with an explanation:"N-now...What's wrong is....I'm just s-sixteen..-sniff-..You see?..And i saw my father die..N-nopony should have to live like that..."

He looked abit shocked, and said that he didn't see that coming, "S-sorry to hear...Wasn't really expecting it.." he said...

Then i suddenly remember hearing him saying "We don't wanna get stuck on each other for a week"

I didn't completely understand, and asked him "A-and what do you mean, not sticking for a week?...W-we're friends, right?"

"Well, you can say that, but I need to do my job, I work for a living. I gotta ... go at  8 in the mornin'. Oh and by sticking with you, I don't really don't mind if you do, but what I meant is the "hugging" part, it felt an hour have passed. Sorry to hear your loss...." he said..I didn't really care, and went upstairs..

After a few hours of hard labor with metal, bolts, and pressure pistons, i was finished, in the progress i cut myself, though, i had a nasty cut, at first i didn't notice, but then i went downstairs to equip the wing strengthener, and when i was finished i looked in the mirror to see what it looked like when equipped, i liked it, but then i noticed the blood..I saw the blood, and all went black...So i don't exactly remember...

Later i woke up in a dark ally in Canterlot, holding my weapons in my mechanical hands, dripping with blood, a dead stallion lying at my feet, three others, all of them unicorns, using their magic to swing around a few bats...I gulped as they started to walk closer, one of them grabbed me with his magic while the other three started to beat me up, not in a way that would kill me, just breaking my bones instead...

After about ten minutes of hitting me they spat on me and walked away, dropping their bats on the ground near me...

After lying there for what seemed hours, but turned out to be minutes, i saw a silhouette in the sunlight at the end of the alley, i groaned at it, begged for help...

"Nhg...S-sir..H-help me...P-please.."

He was whistling, but then he noticed me, i groaned more, "n the name of Celestia.... What happened to you miss?!" and rushed over to my side, well, he sure was the strangest stallion i've ever seen...I brought out the words 'Insanity' and 'Thugs'..

"Crap, I- uh, we will go to the hospital as fast as possible" he said, and cast some sort of spell..

Out of a sudden, we were in the hospital, and he..Changed form, it seemed...Medics came running by and nodded at the colt, then carried me away to a hospital bed..The strange stallion coming along..Well, didn't really look strange anymore in this form, but it obviously wasn't his real form...I fainted..

An hour or two later, i woke up again, blinking..."W-whoa...Where am i..." i said..

"Stay still, even though the wound is not very critical on your condition, if you keep on moving, the wound might open up.." he told me, looking rather concerned, i didn't listen, though..."B-but i'll have to lay here..F-for weeks..I don't have t-the time..." I resistantly said, he continued to persuade his thought that i had to rest "Please, rest.." he said, looking even more concerned...

I sat up, barely even groaning...

Suddenly, something really, really weird happened, some kind of..Portal..Appeared and a mare stepped out of it.."Am.. I  Interrupting something here.....?" he said, i just stared and blinked...

"S-sort of..Ngg.." i said, as i inspected my wounds, didn't seem really much to be worried about, to me...

Suddenly, the other colt said "Alright, I'll leave you guys for the moment, Ill pay the hospital bills, so don't worry...Take care.."

I thought by myself Not this again.. and told him to wait, he did, and said "Yes?" i smiled at him for asfar as i could, and asked him to get my stuff.."Could you...Get me my stuff..From my house? I'll mark it if you've got a map.."

"I can use my magic to make my own projected map. Tell me where it is headed. The name's Cloud Howler" he told me, i nodded and told him my name too..."Nggg..G-gizmo Puff, pleasure t-to meet you..."

"Please take care next time Gizmo...and you, are you close friends with Gizmo?" Cloud said, while looking at the rather random mare that poofed into here out of completely nowhere.."Oh me. I am Phase...Phase Shift.." She said

"Alright Phase, are you close friends with Gizmo?" Cloud went on, Phase objected with a simple "No..", at the same time i said "I don't even know where in Celestia's name this person came from.."

"My portal lead me here.." said Phase..

"Portal?..Alright, who in tarnation are you anyway, Phase?" Cloud asked in return...

"Dimensional Traveller." Phase said, she seemed rather straight to the point.."D-dimensional traveller?...." Cloud asked, abit confused about what exactly that might be, or scared, i actually don't know. "Anyways, Phase, can you stay with her for ahwile?" he went on..

"Cloud..Ngg..I still havn't told you where my house is..Nh...Nor have i given you my keys...S-so..Put up that holo map of yours.." i said, looking at Cloud, more like, inspecting his strange form..

"Alright" He said, at the same time as Phase would say she'd be watching me.."Ok, I'll go out for ahwile and I'll get your stuffs." Cloud responded afterwards, grabbed my keys from my coat and started to cast a teleportation spell...He was gone in a matter of seconds...

I blinked, rolled my eyes and sighed, saying "W-what's it with men and carelessly dissapearing?.." Phase just kept silent...I rolled my eyes again.."Jeesh, you're not..Nggh..Very talkative either, are you?" i asked him...

He simply said "Not much..."

I tried to start a conversation, starting off with "Sooo...What do you do for a living?"

  "Travelling dimensions.." he said, and so, we started a conversation...And i'm not gonna write down the entire thing in complete detail, finder, plunderer or whatever you are, i can say that i mentioned my human hands..

A little while later Cloud returned...Somehow he felt like not teleporting into the room and knocked on the door...With my Stuff, i asked if they could help me build a few things, Phase started right away, conjuring a magical table to work on, and doing what i asked of him...Cloud, however, just stood there, staring, compassion and worriedness on his face, then he asked "Um..Is this thing safe?" "Sure it is..Just don't touch Dark Matter or POOF, it's gone.." Phase said as he finished the strengtheners "There we go.."

"Don't worry Cloud, it's as safe as jumping off the highest tower in Canterlot and suddenly span your wings on the last moment!" i said, and started to laugh loudly, once done i'd be breathing heavily and smiled at Cloud and Phase..After a little conversation about wings i asked "Mhhr..Cloud, if you don't mind me asking, but what are you, exactly?..You don't really look like a normal pony..."

"You surely look out of this world.." Phase said.

Cloud said it was a long story, but me and Phase figured he must be part unicorn part dragon..Which seemed true...

So, abit later, after some talking, we started to put on the strengtheners...It was rather painful, luckily i got to hold onto Cloud..I burried my nose into his mane as a tear ran down my cheek, before i let go i pecked him in the neck, though i bet he didn't notice it..once we were done i´d be panting and sighing...After having some more chat, and deciding that Cloud would come to stay with me for a week, I said goodbye and flew off to Rarity, on the way there i could barely keep my goddamn mind off the strange dragon-unicorn...Celestia damnit, what was wrong with me...

After a while i arrived in Ponyville, Rarity's place to be exact...I opened the door and smiled at Rarity, though i am sure i looked hurried, i wanted to get home soon, and, after all, I really wanted to see Cloud.

So i took my pouch in my mouth and gave her about fifty bits, she said i was overpaying.."But dear, that's way too much! You really don't have t-" i pushed my hoof onto her mouth and glared at her, "Jus'...Just f'cking do it...Hmmkay Rarity?..Please? I just want to go home.." i said..

"O-okay darling..I'll g-go get your hat.." she said back, and went to the back of her shop, the storage, and came back with a hat and my coat...

I smiled at her and nodded as she said "Here you go...Now go do whatever it is you so badly need to do, dear.."

"I'm sorry, Rarity, but there's someone waiting for me at my place, a stallion i really want to speak with...So...Maybe, just maybe, i'll come by for tea some day..Goodbye! Have a nice day!", put the coat and hat on, and flew off as fast as i could...On the way home i kept losing my concentration, i crashed into two trees...

A little while later i arrived at my ship, i rammed into my cabin yelling "FUCK YOU, CLOUD!"

He looked at me rather lazily and said "Oh what the fuck did I do now?"

I had scratches all over my body and my eye was twitching.."I nearly died twice! I couldn't concentrate! At all! And it's all your fault!" i yelled at him.

He looked rather puzzled.."Hmm..Okay, then, what does this have to do with me, though?" he said...

  After whichI jumped towards him and pinned him against the back of the couch..

Cloud managed to still look puzzled and said "Are you okay?"

I glared him in the eyes...But then my emotions softened and I started to blush and let go of him, to strot off towards a corner and lie down there, looking at the wall.."Let me help you.." he said, and dragged me to my bedroom..

He told me to rest...I decided to confess "True but...I just want to say that well...I couldn't concentrate because of you, i couldn't think about anything else..." and blushed again, then i ran into a wall and let out a high pitched yelp.

"Well..we just met few days ago.. let's not go this fa- Gizmo!?" he said, looking pretty worried, and walked over to me to help me up...He sighed and said "Look, just..Please, just rest,  I know it's hard, in your condition, but...Just rest, please?"

"Fine.." i said, "Could you help take off my new hat and coat?..It hurts to move..", he nodded and started to use his magic to help me out of my new clothing...After which i dragged myself into my bed and he tucked me in, i slowly fell asleep, trying not to move...
