A young human girl wearing large glasses sits at her desk drawing with crayons. Her skin is light with blonde hair tied behind her head and is wearing a light blue dress with pink flowers that stops just below the knees, on her legs are white socks and purple shoes.
“Sofia! Look Look, I finished drawing,” A young Asian boy said, black hair, wearing a green shirt and blue shorts. He was waving a sheet of paper and held it with his right hand pointing at his crayon creation.
“See, see this is my dad, he is a policeman,” The boy said in a loud voice, pointing to a crayon drawing of a policeman standing next to a drawing of a police car. He noticed that Sofia was not paying attention to him and was still busy drawing. “Can I see?” The boy said with a grin, trying to look over her shoulder.
“No Tommy, I am not done!” She said in a loud voice throwing herself over the paper trying to hide the drawing.
“Tommy please sit down,” The teacher said in a stern voice.
“Fine, I didn’t want to see your dog anyways,” Tommy said, frustrated and moved back to his desk, sitting down.
“She is not a dog,” Sofia said and then continued drawing.
Minutes later the teacher stood up and looked at the clock on the wall above the door.
“Ok everyone time is up, please put away your crayons,” He said looking at some of the students making quick adjustments to their drawings before putting the crayons away.
Sofia blew on her paper, cleaning it and then turned it over when she saw Tommy trying to look her way.
“Alice you are first please come up to the front of the class and show us what you have made,” The teacher smiled as he sat down behind his desk.
“This is my mom, she cuts, hair every day and this is my dad, he works at the bank taking people's money,” She pointed to her drawing of a woman with very large purple scissors and then a man behind a desk with a goofy grin holding money.
Some of the kids giggled and started talking to each other.
“That is very nice Alice, you can go back to your desk now,” He said with a smile and crossed out the name on the board. “It’s now your turn Charlie,”
A young boy walked up to the front of the class and open his paper showing a drawing of one man in a red car with a pointy front end and big rear tires.
“This is my uncle, he likes to race cars, Zoom zoom…” He said making motor noises showing move his paper around in the air.
The kids laughed, enjoying the show that their classmate was putting on. He looked at the teacher with a smile and walked back to his desk.
Then it was Tommy's turn and he walks proudly to the front of the class.
“This is my dad, he is a policeman and has a fast car to catch the bad guys. We wo We we were beep, beep, stop, this is the police pull over,” Tommy spoke loud trying to out do Charlie’s role play.
There was more laughing and cheering by the students in the class. The teacher stood up and cleared his throat to get their attention. Tommy walked back to his desk feeling that he won a prize and grinned at Sofia who tried to ignore him.
“Sofia it’s your turn,” He said and sat down to relax.
She was nervous and grabbed her paper holding close to her chest as she walked to the front of the class. Sofia looked at her drawing and took a deep breath. Turning the paper around, she showed a drawing to the class. The children mumbled to each other trying to guess what they were looking at.
“This is my dad, he helps people on the phone, and this is me,” She pointed at herself and then her finger pointed to a white creature standing next to her. It had a horn on its head with big blue eyes, four legs, purple mane and a long tail. Blue diamonds were drawn on her rear.
“This is my mom, she is a pony,” Sofia said, nervously and the kids started laughing at her.
“That’s stupid Sofia, moms can not be ponies!” Tommy yelled out pointing at her.
“Liar, Sofia is a liar, liar, liar, pants on fire!,” The children started chanting flowing Tommy.
“ I am not lying!” Sofia yelled back and started crying as threw her paper on the ground.
“Hey, that’s enough now!” The teacher slapped his hand onto the desk getting the class's attention.
He walked over to Sofia and put his hand on her shoulder. “Now Sofia, normally kids have a mom and a dad, sometimes they have two moms and two dads,” The teacher said.
“And one uncle!” Charlie spoke up getting the teacher’s attention who looked at him seriously and then looked back to Sofia who was rubbing the tears from her cheeks
“As I was trying to explain, people have kids, dogs have puppies, cats have kittens and ponies have umm even smaller ponies,” He was explaining and Sofia pulled away angrily.
“You don’t, don’t believe me! No understands Sofia!” She yelled angrily and ran out of the classroom.
Sofia’s home was an average size American bungalow with green grass, small flower garden, driveway and single garage.
A large feather duster glowed a light blue as it floated in the air, brushing away the dust and clumps of white fur off the bookcase.
“I swear it gets worse every time the season changes,” The young lady's voice said as the duster floated to another piece of furniture.
The cordless phone on a wood table started to ring and then the receiver lifted off the base floating to white pointy ear.
“Hello, yes, this is she… the school… alright is something wrong?… What happened to Sofia?… ok ok, just let her calm down, I’ll be there soon to clear this up… Ok thank you bye,” The phone floated back to the base and clicked in place.
She walked into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Rarity sighed and looked at her right front hoof.
“Well Rarity dear, looks like it is time to go to school to check on your daughter,” She said to herself.
A draw opened with her blue magic, a large brush floated out and started brushing her purple mane.
A white limo pulled up to the entrance of the school and came to a stop. Some students who were near the door spotted the limo and started talking to each other wondering what was going on. The front door opened on the driver's side and a tall man dressed in a tux climbed out. He was a handsome dark skin man with no hair, wearing dark sunglasses. The man walked around the car to the rear left passenger seat and opened the door.
Rarity climbed out and her hoofs clicked as she stepped into the cement sidewalk. She was wearing a blue hat and orange glasses, on her side was a red leather purse that was fitted like a saddlebag. She brushed her mane with her right hoof and moved aside as the door was closed for her.
“Sorry for calling you on your day off Michael, I know how much you value your time with your family,” Rarity said apologizing.
“It’s fine Mrs. Rarity, it is always a pleasure working with you,” The chauffeur said with a smile and started walking back to the front of the car. “Call me when you are ready to go home,” Michael said as he climbed back into the driver's seat.
She smiled and started walking to the school entrance. There was a crowd of students pushing their faces against the school windows looking, pointing and talking.
Miss Jenkins the school principal opened the door, just as Rarity reached it to her surprise.
“Mrs. Rarity this sure is a surprise, I didn’t know you were coming. It’s not often we have a celebrity come to our humble school or any celebrity for that matter,” She said trying to keep her composure.
“Thank you, Miss?” Rarity said removing her glasses with her magic and put them into her purse.
“Stacy Jenkins, I am the Principal of this school,” She said with a smile but looking nervous.
“Twilight,” The white pony said, looking at the outfit Miss Jenkin was wearing. It was a women's business outfit made with a touch of purple lines and blue colors with purple stars. Her pants were made with a matching blue color.
“Twilight?” She asked, blinking her eyes in confusion.
“That outfit, it’s one of my designs, it looks dazzling on to you,” Rarity said with a big smile and removed her hat revealing her horn.
“Oh, thank you, hearing it from the one who designed it is such an honor,” The principal said and then cleared her throat. “So what brings you today to our school?” She asked.
“I got a call about my daughter, if it is not too much trouble, I would like to see her,” Rarity said as her hooves clopped onto the ceramic floor tiles.
Author's Note
Since I been having writers block on my other story.
I decided to work on some simple stories and will try to keep them only a few chapters long.
No big plots, drama or explosions hopefully.
Thanks for reading.
