My mom is a pony
Chapter 3
Previous Chapter“Sofia Hun, it's ok, you can show them,” Rarity said giving permission.
Sofia stood up from her desk and walked to the chalkboard picking up the eraser.
“Please don’t laugh at Sofia,” She said looking back at her classmates.
Sofia then started clapping the eraser against her hand, creating a cloud of white chalk dust. The kids looked at each other not sure what she was trying to do and then…
“Ah, aahh, AAAHHH! Ah-Choo!!!” Sofia sneezed causing a flash of blue light around her that slowly faded away revealing a small unicorn.
“Aaaa she’s so cute!” Alice squealed out, placing her hands on her cheeks looking.
Sofia sniffled rubbing her wet nose with her right hoof and then pushed her glasses up. Her fur was white just like her mother’s, but her mane and tail was a golden blond color. She seemed to be wearing the same clothes, but now only half it remained stopping at her rear legs with having no visible cutie mark yet. Rarity’s horn glowed pulling out a tissue from her purse that she grabs it with her hoof and then rubbed Sofia nose cleaning it.
“My daughter wants to attend a human school like everyone else, so please be understanding and not judge her by her looks,” Rarity said as the school buzzer went off signaling the end of the day.
“Alright everyone, we will finish with the math lesson tomorrow. Make sure to study chapter 2 and thank Sofia’s mom for visiting our class today,” Mr. Lafleur said as he started to clean up his desk.
Most of the children formed a line and quickly talked to Rarity and Sofia on their way out. Alice pushed Tommy towards Sofia and whispered something in his ear.
“I.. I am sorry for being mean to you Sofia, are we still friends?” Tommy said, having a hard time looking at the small pony in her blue eyes, feeling embarrassed.
“Silly Tommy of course, you can be friends with me,” She said with a grin looking back at him.
“Are you going home with your mom?” Alice asked Sofia and then looked at her mother.
“Mom, can I take the bus home with my friends?” Sofia asked her.
“Are you sure?” Rarity asked her and Sofia nodded quickly.
Sofia’s small horn glowed and her books, pencil, and crayons floated in the air then into her bag, which then floated towards her. She then hugged her mom and left with her friends heading to the parking lot where the school buses were waiting.
The room became quiet after all the children left and then Rarity walked up to Mr. Lafleur.
“Thank you for calling me, I was worried that my daughter would have a hard time fitting in, Mr. Lafleur,” She said with a big smile.
He adjusted his tie still feeling awkward about having a talking unicorn in his classroom.
“I should apologize as well to you, I also didn’t believe your daughter at first. The whole idea of talking ponies coming to our world is still very new to me,” He said grabbing his suitcase.
“It’s still a work in progress for both our worlds. Please have a good day Mr. Lafleur, I look forward to meeting with you again,” Rarity said in a diplomatic tone and a gentle smile.
“About Sofia’s father, is he a pony?” Mr. Lafleur asked curiously.
Rarity stopped at the door and looked back. “Oh no, he is human and a very caring husband,” She smiled and was ready to leave.
“Then how...” He asked almost covering his mouth.
“That’s another question for another time,” Rarity said and left the room.
Many of the kids in the school were trying to talk and touch the small unicorn as she quickly darted through the crowd. She found her friend waiting near the school bus, which had its doors open.
“Let’s go home!” Alice said with a cheer.
Sofia jumped onto the steps with her hoofs and started climbing into the bus. The bus driver noticed the small pony and stood up stopping her.
“No pets allowed on the bus!” He said trying to shoo the small pony away with his hands.
“My name is Sofia, I am not a pet, I go to this school!” Sofia yelled out surprising the bus driver.
“Mr. Bus driver she is in our class,” Tommy said in a loud voice standing from his seat.
"Rules are rules, now sit back down," He said in a stern voice pointing at Tommy.
“Let her in!, Let her in!” Charlie said in a loud voice chanting and then the other kids started chanting with together with him.
“Let her in!”, “Let her in!”, “Let her in!” The chanting continued.
“Alright, Alright will you all just shut up!” The bus driver yelled back in an angry tone and returned to the driver’s seat.
The children cheered in victory from their seats, this made Sofia felt so very happy. Her horn twinkled like a small crystal as she walked along the bus hallway between the seats. Tommy moved over in his seat and waved to Sofia to sit down. Alice sat in the seat across and have the biggest smile on her face. The engine started and the doors on the bus closed.
Rarity watched the school buses leave and smiled, "Friendship is magic," She said to herself just as her limo pulled up.
As the bus drove along a very familiar route, Sofia looked out the window at the world she was born in and then looked at her reflection in the glass and a thought came to her mind.
My name is Sofia, my mom is a Pony, and me Too....
