ESF: The Return of Comet Nebula
Chapter 4: Galaxy is Dead?!
Previous ChapterNext ChapterQuillton injected the second dose an hour later, causing Galaxy to flinch. My husband chuckled. "Did you ever think Quill....that I didnt want to be cured?" My husband asked. Quillton stared at him. "Did you ever think maybe I like the way I am now?!" Galaxy demanded. Quillton didn't answer. It wasn't like him to ignore his best friend, but then again, his best friend currently was a demon at the moment. I cringed. I tried looking deep in Galaxy's eyes, but all I saw was blackness, an empty void where my husband used to be. Maybe we couldn't save him. Maybe my husband was cursed to be a demon forever. No. I told myself. It's not like you to give up. I said to myself. Mocha stood by me to keep me company.
"Do you think we can save him?" Mocha asked me. I shrugged, not knowing. All of us were outside conversing when we heard a smashing noise. My ears flicked up, causing me and Mocha to run inside the room we had Galaxy in. The chair was on the floor, with the chains broken. "Oh my God." Mocha gasped. "He escaped. The more blood we gave him, the less demonized he was." She told me. I gasped. Quillton ran in, his eyes narrow with fear.
"Son a of a bitch!" He cursed, stomping his hoof on the ground. Castiel looked at the chair grimly.
"He's still here, I can sense his presence." He told us. "Galaxy is hiding, waiting for Comet to arrive." He said. I looked around. I couldn't believe what I was doing. Before I could stop myself, I called Galaxy's name.
"Galaxy?" I called. "Galaxy, sweetie, please come out." I said softly. I told the others to stay in the room as I went searching for my husband in our cottage. "Honey, please. I'm worried about you. I know you're not a demon. The Mark made you that way." I explained. I heard a clattering in our bedroom and ran there. I saw Galaxy, his back pressed against the wall with nowhere to run. He looked scared, even with his eyes black, he looked very scared. "Galaxy." I called softly. He relaxed, and walked forward. For a second, his eyes turned brown.
"Crys?" My husband asked me. I nodded. He grabbed his right foreleg, right where the Mark was. I could tell it burned whenever he touched it. My husband looked at me like he was afraid. "Crystal, help me." Galaxy pleaded. "I don't know how much longer I can fight the Mark." He explained. I wrapped my front legs around him and held him comfortingly. Galaxy rested his head under my chin. "I'm scared, Crys." He told me.
"It's alright, sweetie, I'm here." I told my husband. Normally Galaxy did the comforting. Now, it was my turn to help my husband. I gently placed my hoof on the Mark. Galaxy winced. The others ran in, and saw me holding my husband. Mocha saw his eyes and gasped. I told them silently 'I got this'. They nodded and backed away. Galaxy looked up at me, and I looked back at him, our eyes gazing at each other. Galaxy shook his head as his eyes switched from brown to black. He escaped my grip and landed on the floor, shaking his head more. The others gasped. "Galaxy?" I asked. Galaxy stepped back as I walked forward.
"Crystal, don't!" Mocha warned me. I didn't listen. Galaxy calmed down as I put a hoof around his neck. I put my other hoof around his neck, and, gently but slowly, pressed my lips against Galaxy's. Galaxy's muscles relaxed as he leaned into the kiss, letting me comfort him. We broke suddenly as his foreleg burned, then, the Mark vanished. Galaxy's eyes reverted to brown, and he gasped. All of us were in shock, including me.
"Galaxy?" I asked. Galaxy looked around, took a deep breath, and smiled.
"Hey guys, what do you say we go kick my brother's psychotic ass?" He smirked. We all whooped in delight and I hugged my husband tight.
"I knew you were in there somewhere." I smiled. Galaxy smiled and kissed my forehead gently.
"No way am I losing the most beautiful pegasus in Equestria." He told me. I blushed. Melody hugged us both. Her father was back, and my husband was back. Meanwhile, at his castle, Comet growled.
"Damn it! My brother is good again and now they're going to be coming for me!" He growled. "This is not good. I wish that Galaxy never met his friends at all!" Comet yelled. Suddenly, a secret passage opened up. He was confused. "Hmm?" Comet asked himself, walking through the passage until he found a secret room filled with books and a portal. Comet smirked. "A portal...." He said. "I can use this to travel back in time and stop my brother from ever existing! Then Comet Nebula will be on top, baby!" Comet cackled, lightning striking through the sky. Meanwhile, Galaxy and I were sitting at Mocha's cafe.
"Crys, I'm sorry I just stood there when Comet tied you up in the vines." My husband apologized. "I just, couldn't move, even though I was trying." He told me. I put a hoof on his, smiling.
"I'm just glad to have my Galaxy back." I said. Galaxy smiled as well. Then his smile vanished.
"We still need to stop my brother. Who knows what Comet is up to?" He said. "He made us think he was building a demon army, but he's not. If I know my brother, he's got something more sinister planned than that." Galaxy told us. Quillton nodded.
"Galaxy's right. Comet may be alone, but he's strong. Remember when we fought him last time? How easily he knocked out Crystal?" He asked. I rubbed my head in the spot I got hit. It still hurt a little bit. Sunset nodded.
"Or the time he was Nightmare and almost killed Galaxy?" She asked. Galaxy's face turned white as bone from that statement. Sunset blushed nervously. "Sorry, Galaxy." She chuckled. Galaxy relaxed. Before we could all relax, lightning cracked in the sky. Me and my husband gasped as Comet appeared in the doorway, everypony in a fighting stance.
"Hello, ponies." Comet chuckled. I growled. "Easy, Cryssy. I only came bearing a message." Comet said. Quillton scoffed. Comet then turned to Galaxy. "Galaxy, you don't know it yet, but you're already gone, brother." I shivered. The way Comet said brother made me think that Comet succeeded in something evil. Thunder clashed, and Comet was gone. Mocha was worried.
"What did he mean by 'You're already gone'?" Mocha asked. I shrugged, then, shrieked in horror. Galaxy...was vanishing. He gasped.
"Guys? What's going on? Crys? Crys!!!" Galaxy cried before he vanished before my eyes. I let out a cry of anguish.
"Galaxy?" I called, searching the whole cafe. "Galaxy?! Galaxy?!!!!" I exclaimed. I couldn't believe it. My husband.....was gone.
