The Long road for love and life book one

As I came into the clearing surrounded by trees next too the hive entrance my view was greeted to one of battle and carnage, their in the sky and on the ground were changelings fighting Griffin's, now Griffin's do not usually use magic but it is not unheard of, but being mercenaries they mainly relay on their claws and beaks and they are also very nimble in the air and on the ground, I was about to try and cover the entrance when I heard a voice from behind me "looks like I am having baby bug for tea, ha, HA" said the unknown voice as I felt the talons of a Griffin try to impale me, acting on instinct I bucked my attacker hard with a sickening crunch my rear legs connected with the Creatures lower ribs which felt half fur and feathers, I had bucked it so hard that barely a second had past and I heard another crunch and the snapping of wood as it hit a tree, I did not have the luxury of time to celebrate as another Griffen came for me,

This one had a black head he also had a series of scars one over his left eye which had a patch over it and he was quite obviously male, he wore a belt with skulls attached to it and even had a small changeling and a Griffen skull on it with different parts of other creatures on it, he screamed at me "you're head is for me!" I waited for him to come close pretending to be struck by fear until he came at me, I ducked under his front talons and with all my strength I shoved my horn into his chest, as my horn perst his chest I could feel his heart beating which I had just mist, but I did not miss his lung which covered me in blood and feathers, I manage to change his direction hopeing to get him to plow into the ground as i released him, but he surprised me as he flipped in the air as I also did, so I could land on the ground facing him.

"What are you some kind of freak bug, (coughs up some blood and slaver) I am going to have your head for that!" He said weissing and rasping as bubbles of blood came from his wound which did not look as bad as it was, I could not help but chuckle at his comment "oh bringing it on I feel like chicken to night" I think this angered him as he blindly charged at me, I think he wanted me to fly but that did not happen instead I just waited watching him bleed more and more with each stride which slowed down to a crawl, I walked up to him and I got onto his back keeping my weight off of him to keep him alive but I did put my hoof on his head, "YOU WHO CHICKENS STOP NOW OR YOUR LEADER DIES!!" I shouted to all of them, almost immediately the fighting stopped and I felt their eyes on me "do what the bug says" he managed to say with a coughing fit full of blood which did the job.

"Now if you want to live, you and your friends will leave and never come back or I will kill you and your flock, but first why are you here for?" I asked in a I am going to rip you in two tone of voice, "we won't come back we were hired but I swear (he cough again) the payment was in full and was sent by...by" he started to blackout, dam you if you think it is going to be that easy mate! I thought as I light up my horn, I teleported out the blood that had filled up his injured lung and had started to spill into his other lung, he took a deep breath as the blood that was in my magic fell to the ground behind us, "you have to believe me the contract was sent by dragon fire spell along with full payment to keep or kill a bug" I interrupted him this time, "say bug again in your condition one more time and I swear upon my Queen's name I will" he interrupted me with "Paul his name is Paul we are to stop him going to Equestria I sewer on my hatchlings it is the truth."

What in Tartarus is going on here? No one other than my Queen and Luna should know evan if a member of the hive knew where I was going they would not higher Griffin's, "I believe you" and before anything else happens I light up my horn again and I healed him, and then I turned around to get off of him when the first Griffen that attacked me got up and screamed at me "I going to kill you bug!!" When the Griffen I had just released got up and absolutely took my breath way in shear shock,

"no you won't this one saved my life, he could of killed me Storm, so as leader I order you to stand down" the now known Storm weekly noded in agreement, I brought my attention to their leader before he spoke, "I don't know why you saved me for, but I am now in your debt, now my name is Gotten Sky's and this is my band, we are called blood wing if you want us to help in any way just let us know and we will be at your hives side, but what is your name oh great worrier?"

He gave a bow as he asked for my name "well dear sir if you don't mind agreeing to protect the hive, I know my mother will allow you to live here if you want to call it a win win" "we agree but we will need your name sir" he said in a tone of pleading, "hi I am Paul" his beak opened and started to look like he was about to say something "what's wrong I thought you give your word?" He sigh and continued "we will honer our agreement I just never fort anything like you before"

just then a rush of black and blue armored onclave came out of the entranceway, better late than never, I was about to explain to them what had happened, when a green flash appeared in the center of the reinforcements, it was mother and boy did she seem to contain all the rage and fury of a mother who has just seen her child get hurt, but before she could speak I interrupted the frenzy before it began, "hi mom ERM I have something to tell you before anything else" I turned to see the Gotten Sky's was standing in shock until I told him to bow which he did, then I had to explain to mother what had transpired between us.

"It would appear that something does not want you to go on the quest of ours" mother said in an almost concerned but still irritated tone, "but we will honor the agreement with the blood wings, they may have a home and we will help them and help to protect them as they will us, but since we are all here I would like to see you on you're way Paul, but you must drop your descries", Mother said in her Royal tone of voice and that was final.

So before anything else happened I dropped my normal changeling disguise in a brilliant ring of green flames, which started from my hoofs and roes up, a series of gaps left all the members of bloodwing except for two who seemed more shocked and silent, after I was at my full height and with the spell over with I opened my eyes and I saw and felt the fear of the two Griffin's who looked thankful for being alive, especially since i was now bigger than them, I smiled at them with my mouth closed as to not look like I wanted to eat anyone. But Gotten Sky's spoke up "well that explains a lot" he said out loud which I did not think he meant it to be that loud but his comment did not seem to offend any of the changelings nor me, I bowed to mother who returned it then as I raised my head again she pointed to where the boat was and that's when I lead the procession who followed me, I swear all we needed was some music and ticker tape and it would be complete, I for one was happy about two things, one the green flames from my transformation had cleans away the blood fur and feathers that were on me, and secondly that nobody had to died.

As I and the farewell parade neared the boat that will be my home for as long as it takes, I started to wonder, we know how to build boats and how to use them, but we know next to nothing about the sea and what might live their in its depth, a shiver broke me from this nightmare right before a familiar voice of Frost broke from the crowd. "if I was you I would get on now while the tide is on your side!" Of course I flew up and landed on the top deck which did allow me to stretch, I took a quick look at the boat house that will be my everything until I reach the shores of Equestria, all I have to do is go west, and try to not get bored and go insane, as this thought past through my mind I was shaken from it both mentally and physically as the boat was released by some mechanism which I could not see.

A sudden whoosh past my ears as gravity done its job and along with the other forces that sent the boat hurtling, I then noticed and remembered that cliff, as in stead of a small drop and a splash, the boat was greeted with air and a senesce of falling along with an oops coming from the crowed, I light up my horn with a lighter than air spell which covered the boat and me, thanks to the boat's speed I did not have to worry about clearing any rocks, I just needed to make a safe landing,

it was not long then the boat was greeted with a thud as a wave crashed against the hull followed closely by a another couple of thuds, when the boat had made a safe landing and had settled on the waters surfaces rising and falling as the waves took to cradling the boat, is all I can recall as I did over do it and promptly passed out.

I opened my eyes to a familiar landscape of stars and galaxy's passing me by, when suddenly a bright light appeared just off to my left side, the next thing I knew a series of doors appeared to be shooting past me going into the distances to my right, I did not understand what was happening, was I dead? was this where everyone is judge for there own actions?

that's when a door stopped in front of me it was painted in a blue green mix that took my breath away, even though I was not breathing I really liked it, then it opened to revile a little baby changeling playing and laughing, I remembered this.

I continued to watch myself playing tag with the rest of my family who I will not see again I throat, I watch as little me slowly but surely grow as the shadows of my past appeared and disappeared as day turned into night, I realised that I could not make out any of the others faces as they went by, until that day I started to notices Lura, she started to become clearer as the days past by, I also remember taking any job that I could just to talk to her, I did kinda see her point of view of thinking it was just after a meal but , I also saw how we kinda became closer over time, something I was not aware of at the time as it was gradual, I think she started to feel my admiration for her, as her eyes started to look more interested at my own little shadow.

I started to notices the days turn into years more now than at the time, I watched in horror as it came to that day, the day I lost it all, I watch as I fought with all my heart agents the quarry eel, as it did indeed try going into a hatchery chamber that's when the diamond dogs leader and a few others tried to kill the rest of my family and colleges, that's when I used the push spell but it was turned into a killing spell, as the blast hit the quarry eel first which slammed it into the diamond dogs, splattering them and the eel, the shock wave passed harmlessly over the changelings but slammed down the tunnel that they had made, I then saw myself with my eyes burning red with heat and anger and then another spell sent me through that tunnel of light slamming head first into a wall.

suddenly I was engulfed in the bright white light and I was onces again standing in the corridor of doors, the door which had shown me part of my life slowly closed, with the bright light still visible in side of its entrances way until the door had fully closed, after it had done so the doors started shooting past again until they had once again stopped but this door was purple.
