The purple door before me did not open as I had assumed it would, "well that was interesting" came a female voice from behind me, I turned around not sure as to what to expect or who, as the voice seemed off, when I turned around I saw Shera standing their with a grin on her face, "Shera what are you doing here (as a terrible thought crossed my mind) did you die to?" Sheras face did not change "were not dead" (she said in between bouts of laughter) "but if we are not dead then how did you get here?" I asked still in shock and joy of being alive, "well after I left you I was on my way to the entrance to the hive and that's when I saw the griffons attack, and since I am not a fighter I hid myself in side of the thing that was being built for you and well, I kind of fell asleep as it was nice and choosy, and when I awoke I was (she gave a visible shudder) I found myself in...in the middle of the sea, and then I saw you collapsed and that's when i".

she did not have to explain to me that she was dream stalking me, a way we changelings enter a creature's mind while they are inside the pods, but can also be done while they are asleep or unconscious, "so you decided to dream stalk me, may I ask why you have done this for? I mean was it for food or", after interrupting her before now it was her turn.

"I wanted to make sure you were not hurt and I was and have been sharing my energy with you, (this I knew to be true as I was feeling stronger) I am sorry" she said, now I know I had up set her as her tone was full of sorrow and her eyes started to water up, "look you see that thing in my mouth? (I said In a way that made her look at me with all of her attention focused on me) that's called my hoof" I said in the same tone, Shera looked at me blankly for a moment before letting out the strongest and cutest laughter I have ever heard, suddenly the dream started to shake as I started to wake up or should I say we were waking up.

When I came to Shera was already up, well she was awake but sharking with fear Evan tho we were in the middle of a calm sea with setting moon on the horizon, I had never seen such a sight before as I had never left the hive before, suddenly the moon dropped being replaced with the sun just as quickly which made something inside of me say that was not normal, my eyes and I think Shera's to were blinded temporarily and became painfully sore.

After a few painful seconds which seemed more like hours my eyes adjusted to the light and the colours became more focus and more defined, I saw Shera still shivering out of fear, I trotted over to her knowing the fear that had hold of her far to well, so I gently settled next to her and placed a hoof over her pulling her into a hug "its alright Shera I am her for you as you were for me, I am glade that you are safe as I was hopeing to see you before I left and now I have you to keep me company, otherwise who knows what might of happened" as I finished this I rubbed my head against her shoulder in a reassuring manner.

This seemed to calm her down as she started to stop shaking, "do you mean that Paul?" She asked in an unsure voice not knowing the answer but wanting it to be honest and true, as she did have feelings for him but after his love was announced to him only for it to end the way it did, she did not want to make him feel like she was intrusion on what could've been, but a look to her left almost made her cry as she saw a glint of something in his eyes, compassion maybe she thought trying hard to keep her own feelings hidden in case they somehow change his words to make her feel better, but she wanted the words to be his own and not out of pity, she also felt bad for lying to him about being in heat as she knew that was a lie, as female changelings can produce pheromones to distract or immobilize males and almost any would be attacker, her mind raced with different thoughts all the while she kept her feelings hidden.

I was almost unable to answer Shera's question searching my heart for the truth that's when it came from out of no wear, "yes I do mean that and even tho you scared me a bit I now relies why you scared me for, as I" I paused allowing myself to breathe before continuing " I was and am scared of losing someone special to me, and I must apologize for not saying this when I had the chances before but I do really like you and I want to be their for you to, but I thought you pretending to be in heat was kinda cute, but I did not want to seem like I was taking advantage of you so I played along just in case."

Then another voice boomed shattering the world around me, "so you are on your way now to Equestria?" I must admit I was not to pleased to find out that I was still asleep but I did feel stronger "so was this a test or something miss Luna"?  "Indeed I am sorry for not being able to reach you sooner Paul and if this was a test it was not one of ours" this gave me pause "so I am on my boat all on my own in the middle of the sea unconscious, well this just seems to get better," I stopped for the moment to regain myself before continuing "I am sorry for snapping at you it was not your fault, but I am alone and unconscious in the middle of the sea and I am in enough trouble as it is, but if I can not do anything about my predicament could you make sure that Shera is OK? as I do worry about her safety, and if a wave sinks the is boat I will not see your land and I would like my mother to know that I love her and that I am sorry for failing her".

The alicorn stared at me before continuing "you have been in my realm of dreams for the past three days or so, and you are on a boat but not your own, as you see your on a fishing vessel on its way to Equestria it is only a few hours away and I am afraid you were found on your own, and when the vessel comes into port, the guards will escort you to the palace, and me and my sister will discuss what will happen to you as we have had problems with your kind before," "I understand and I shall comply peacefully and do any thing that I am told but when I awake, I shall feed on my crystal or maybe two" the alicorn nodded "be warned if you hurt anypony I will destroy you myself and that goes for feeding on them!" I noded "I have already told you that I do not steal emotions and would never do so, that is also why I shall comply peacefully, as I look like a monster" "you will wake up soon"Luna said as her voice echoed into the void.

When I came to I was so hungry like never before, I reach out with my magic trying to reach my Cristal's that lay under my wing casing, I heard someone say he's awake and then give a scream when my magic pulled out a hidden crystal which landed almost onto the ground before I caught it again and fed eagerly on the energy, I was no longer as weak as before and I helped myself to another one, afterwards I was back to my old self and I placed the empty Cristal's back, I looked around and noticed that I was bound with just enough room to get at the Cristal's,

I looked around the area but from my view I could only see the back of the cabin, on the walls hung selves designed to keep their constants safe in the ruth sea, their was also a bunk bed that folded into the wall but was still slightly protruding outwards, the cabin had a slightly musky smell something I could not put my hoof on along with the smell of wood and books.

Suddenly a voice came from behind me where I suspected the door was, "I am warning you drop all your weapons and you won't be harmed!" This voice was female with the hint of fear in it, "my dear I am a weapon and I could easily slip these bonds and overpower you if that was my intention, but Luna told me while I was unconscious that you saved me and so I am in your dept, and I also promised Luna that I will comply peacefully with all that is asked of me, besides I will not be your problem when we get to port as the guards will take me to see Luna and Celestia", I had manages to say before "so you're a wanted criminal then, I know of your kind taking advantage of lone mares that's why you're tied up for, you will not have your way with this mare"

she stated confidently, I just yawned not out of boredom or sharkasm just out of being asleep for so long, I had barely flexed myself as I stretch and all I heard was a series of snaps as the ropes broke "don't worry you're safe I have just fed, you know the Cristal's? that's what my hive feed on amongst other sources of sustenance, but to you I am just a monster, (I looked at my, well what was left of the bonds) I am sorry for breaking your rope but when ya Got A yawn and stretch ya know, so i am sorry" I said truthfully still remaining in the same place unmoving.

"So what? Why are you staying put for if you're so strong?" She had a hint of something more than just curiosity in her tone, "if you don't mind me asking a question of my own why are you so surprised to find somebody who honors their word for? I thought that would be a good thing to find?" Well I kind of answered her question but I still wanted to know how worried I should be about this unknown creature as first contact can say a bit about a race, but not the whole story, "well maybe I would talk better facing you rather than your....flank" great I thought I am going to be in for trouble, but I got up and turned to see a dark grey mare with wings but these were not covers in feathers but had a membrane with visible appendages running in between the membrane, her eyes were golden, and she to had fangs and a dark light blue mane, I nearly fell at the spectacle before me, I am not proud to say my eyes were drawn to her flank as her tale switch back and forth, but I did, and she had a symbol on her flank of a fish being grabbed by a net and a claw, I nearly fell at the sight before me, my mouth dropped open and I realised with some horror that I was in my true form and my casing was open, yes my wings had their own way of behaviour which was clear for all to see.

Her own wings were standing up and a blush had appeared on her face, you did not need to be a changeling to feel this or to understand what this was, but would this counted as a, oh no! no! I thought as Luna's words echoed in my mind, time for Dr love killjoy, "I am called Paul and I am sorry but I didn't coach your name miss?" "Moonlight, that's my name" I felt a stupid grin spread across my faces and my inner changeling picked up a loudspeaker and started screaming at me, but my heart was in charges and had the batteries for the loudspeaker, "wow that's a. A beautiful name" she gave a giggle then the boat rocked then titled sending Moonlight sailing towards me, before I knew what I had happend, i held her in my magic and I placed her down gently but as quickly as possible, my attention was drawn to the outside, I gallop as fast as I could with Moonlight right behind me.

The sight that loomed over us was like a quarry eel but it had Gil's and was a more greeny blue, the eyes were more of a fish type of eyes, "oh my sweet celestial it's a sea serpent they don't live this close to shore" Moonlight said trying to keep her fear at bay, I was not to sure if it was after us until I noticed what was left of my boat was in its jaws which made it and the boat we were on look like bath toys, I nearly lost it when it easily chompted down on my boat like it was candy and with a crunch it was gone, and that's when the creature turned its attention to us, "no not my boat you beast, my father made this before he past" the creature came down with its mouth wide open,

"Sorry (I growled as I ready a spell) but this boat belongs to my friend" I unleashed a electrical bolt from my horn which struck deep inside of the creature mouth, which sent it flying through the sky in fits of spasmes,  the electrical pulses still visible on its body as it flew through the sky gradually getting smaller until it was the size of a small children's toy when it landed with a splash, my heart stopped until it aroused not to far from where it had landed, "oh good it's not dead" I let out a sigh of a breath that I had held, it looked like the sea serpent was going to roar but instead a purple and red cloud left its mouth which shot towards the sky, then the serpent dove beneath the waves, as the cloud disappeared from view.

I turned to face moonlight I am sorry" is all I manage to say before moonlight leapt and throw her hooves around my neck "thank you no pony has ever done such a thing for me before" and she kissed the side of my head "it is alright miss moonlight I am just glad nobody was hurt" I said with a blush on my faces and pride in my tone, "if you don't mind Paul I think I will accompany you when we reach port, and you're not a monster (she let go of me) never be ashamed of who you are because your the beast stallion I have ever seen, even if you do speak weirdly but I guess I do to you" I looked at her and give her a hug in return "no you don't, but I think I will be in trouble because I can feel your emotions and I don't want you to get in trouble, as I think i feel the same"

she looked at me blankly, oh great now you have probably scared her off smooth going slick, realisation crossed her face along with a blush, "well I must say that's nice, I don't have to hound you for a couple of months until you understood that I have a thing for you, and I believe the princess said you can not feed on me, but nothing about falling in love with me" her and my own blushes were visible so much so I bleave if this had happened at night we could of been used as beacons, that's when I kisst her, she was taken aback by this for a second then she took charge and returned it with a passion that was given back in equal amounts, and contrary to what some might believe this was out of love, not food.
