Over the few months of life I found that we grow fast to reach adulthood, and we do live long lives but we are not immortal so I was not worried but we do not measure time like the ponies do, I found out more about my magic and became quite adept at spellcasting. I even mastered water from air which mother insisted that I learned even though I want to stay as far away from water as possible, because we have a bad habit of mainly drowning when we go into it, also i had found using my wings to be so much fun! if I could of flown everywhere I would of. But my favorite part would be taken off from the ground and spinning myself round to land on the ceiling.

Later when I had reached my full height and my magic reserves had grown immensely, I found myself being passed around by orders of the Queen, mother wanted me to, as she put it, to learn as much about the hive and my family by doing not just absorbing the information from the collectives knowledge of the hive, I did enjoy working in the fungi chambers,I liked how the fluff balls on top of the storks looked with the white veins criss crossing over the refuse, making a field of white fluffiness.

I would be lying if I said I was not startled by an actual skull of a fairly deceased family member, now I am not emotional but the way the head was sticking out of the mound it looked like someone was going to try and jump out at me, so I snuck around and jumped out, only to see her lifeless dull eyes staring into the void, so I did give a startled (and I am not proud of it) shriek, my family and work mates could not stop laughing at me, of course I felt embarrassed as a few teased me by saying things like hatchling, soft shell, you know to get over the fact that I started them, and made them a bit mad at me so i could understand, so I was not offended,

that's one of the perks of being able to detect others feelings, of course if you have a crush on someone everyone knows! As I continued with my tasks of picking the the fungi blooms and placing them into a basket which was placed on our backs, once it was full another sibling would take it after replacing it with a empty one,

this would continue until we had finest then we had to turn over the pills of refuses for the fungi to take over again, and this was just one of the chambers that grew food to tie us over, each one was at least the size of a large town or a small city, after we had finest it was apparent that the day cycle had ended, I was hopeing that I would be able to rejoin the team when the overseer came over to me"Paul" he said with some distaste and continued in vespid "mother wants you to report to the Crystal field after combat training and trust me you'll need IT!"

I almost shuddered at this thourt but I just gave a tired "yes sir" and I slinked off towards the nearest resting chamber, the others always gave me ample space saying that I would wake them sometimes with flashes of emotions both positive and negative, this confused me as when I was a sleep I would dream of searching the world fighting monsters and saving the lady or princess, of course I did not always win sometimes I would die or dream of drowning or falling then drowning, which would wake me up to see a bunch of angry eyes glare at me then they would go back to sleep but I never felt anything from them when they were asleep.

I did ask mother about this and she said only special changelings like the over seers and royalty, dreamed to help them to become better at their jobs and assigned tasks, that's why they had their own chambers but it would not be fair if I was given my own chambers, I was not totally satisfied with this but I am not stupid enough to defy anything mother said, so as I settled in a corner I felt sleep take me.

This time it was different I was in a land with lush green grass and trees with red fruit there was buildings in the distance, that did look weird I swear one looked like something I once knew in fact most to all did, as I past through this little village or town, I finally came to a tree house I mean latterly a house made out of a tree, during my little walk I felt at peace, until a booming voice came from behind me. "WHAT ARE YOU?" My heart seemed to speed up and stop at the same time I felt my stomach do somersaults, "m-my name is Paul and I am a changeling"I said trying in vain not to let fear grasp me " WHY ARE YOU HERE" "I don't know but I do not mean anyone any harm and if you don't mind I am not def"

I did not care if i had upset anyone as my ears were sore, all I could see was a black cloud almost like something trying to hide but it would twinkle, as soon as I was about to say something like why are you hiding, the cloud came together and and formed a blue winged and horned pony, I could not stop my jaw from opening. Evan in my shock I could only think one thing wow she is beautiful her teal eyes noward as i thourt that.

"So you admit it then!? And without trying to play any tricks we see, humm this is interesting, we would of thought after the defeat of your Queen Chrysalis (I immediately interrupted her) "That's not my queen!" I shouted in utter shock and disdain clear in my voice, I continued in a happier tone, "my mother is called Sandra, and I do not know this chrysalis queen, I take it that she has done something bad?" I asked confused.

She just stood their with her mouth open for a brief moment before she regained her senses then she chuckled "I do apologize but I was not expecting this, (with a sigh of a held breath she continued in a more friendly tone) I can tell you are being honest with me, (she stretch out a hoof) my name is Luna and it is nice to meet you Paul (I reported the action, I admit I did feel weird with my hoof in the air,she giggled) "no my dear like this" (she moved closer to me and touch my hoof and wiggled it up and down) as she did so I felt a smile cross my face and I felt pried like I had just made a new friend
