“Oh my, are you ok, you’re not hurt are you” twilight said.

“I’m fine, it happens all the time”.

Mist-vale picked herself up.

“why didn’t you just fly when you began to fall”.

Mist-vale looked at the ground.

“Because… I… I can’t fly”.

Twilight looked at the Pegasus in shock.

“Oh I’m so sorry, I didn’t know, Oh this is all my fault”.

“It’s… fine really, just as long as nopony saw”.

Little to their knowledge there were in fact two ponies that saw they were the local bullies of ponyvile. Eventually after a little while Mist-vale had collected her book and headed back to her home when to filly’s stood in her path. It was diamond tiara and silver spoons.

Diamond tiara was first to speak, “look silver not only is she a blank flank but she’s a Pegasus that can’t fly, how sad”.

Silver spoons was mockingly laughing at Mist-vale who was beginning to tear up.

Silver spoons noticed this, “aww look now she’s going to cry, Ha only foals cry”.

Mist-vale had it and she ran all the way home throwing her saddle bags next to her bed and digging herself under her covers tears streaming down her cheeks.

She spent hours crying into her pillow, even after her brother came home.

“Hey sis I’m home”.

No response was given only the small sobs from upstairs.

“sis you alright” blizz said as he walked to his sisters door.

Mist-vale got out of her bed clutching her pillow in her fore-hoof her eyes red and wet.

“wh-what happened” blizz asked as he hugged his little sister.

“s… some filly’s f… found out.. that I can’t fly and made fun of me… the called me a blankflank to”.

Blizz keeps hugging his little sister, “don’t worry just stay away from them, I’ll take care of it”.

The next day blizz gets up early to begin his job at sweet apple acres, “alright sis I’m going to work now I’ll be back later, take care”.

“I will brother”.

Mist-vale waited till her brother was gone and went out herself she was walking around the town square taking a look into some of the larger shops, when she noticed diamond tiara and silver spoons, she tried to hide but it was to late they had already noticed her.

“Hey look silver it’s the blank flank, bet she’s going to fly away, oh wait she can’t”.

The two fillies’s and begin to laugh.

“I can fly” mist vale said, “I... I just choose not to”.

“Alright then let’s see you fly then midday right here of that building” said diamond tiara as she pointed to the town hall.

“Fine”, mist vale responded trying to hold back tears.

Blizz turned to applejack as she spoke up.

“alright next we have to go to town to sell these apples, get a little break from buckin”.

“sounds good to me boss”.

“call me applejack, you’re a friend now so you can use mah name”.

“alright then applejack lets get goin”.

Shortly after the arrive at the town square, blizz was towing a cart of apples behind him following applejack to their stall

They set up their stall when out of the corner of his eye he notices a small crowd growing around the city hall.

“I wonder what’s going on”.

“yeah there aren’t normally this many people”.

Blizz follows the crowds gaze to the top of the building to see a small black Pegasus standing on top of the town hall.

“wait holy buck, is that my sister, what in the name of celestia”.

By this point applejack was looking as well “what do ya think shes doing”.

“oh god please don’t tell me shes going to jump”.

blizz rushes over to the crowed followed by applejack.

Mist-vale was on top of the building starring down at the crowd when she saw her brother she froze still

Diamond tiara was behind her, “well go on fly” as she finished her sentence she pushed mist-vale of town hall, and watched her fall.

Mist-vale being unable to fly flapped her wings as hard as she could, but to no avail, she soon landed on the ground with a bone crushing thud, everything around her went black and the last thing she heard was her brothers voice coming from the crowd.

“SISTER”.
