Poisoned Equestria

I was trying to find Rainbow since Sweetie Belle had gone to AJ's farm to play with Applebloom. I was walking around were Rainbow said she was going to go to get Scootaloo. I was walking around when I heard a scream that sounded like Rainbow's so I ran into an alleyway and saw Rainbow being eaten alive by what remained of Scootaloo and Spike. I blasted the monsters off her with a spell that was sure to kill anything, when the spell hit them they flew a brick wall and landed in the center of town. I looked down at Rainbow but she had already bled out due to the ripped jugular. I closed her eyes when I heard a scream come from the center of town. I ran through the brick wall and saw Spike and Scootaloo, or what was left, eating a poor horse that had a musical note for a cutie mark getting eaten by spike and Derpy about to be eaten by Scootaloo. I ran for Derpy and pushed the monster to the ground and grabbed Derpy and ran from the center of town before those monsters started to spread.

"Hey, Rarity, what were those things," asked Derpy.

"I don't know Derpy, I don't know," I told her. "We need to get to Applejack's farm, okay."

"Why was Spike eating Octavia," She asked. "What were they gonna do to me." I stopped running and looked at her.

"Derpy, I won't let anything happen to you," I told her. "I've already lost two of my friends, I ain't going to loose anymore." I continued to run with Derpy flying behind me.

I ran into the bakery and check on the cakes and told them to leave town immediately, they looked at me like I had gone

crazy again, but I told them to grab whatever they needed and leave the town and head for Canterlot. They run upstairs to grab the baby cakes pack a whole bunch of clothes and food and left. I go upstairs and grab gummy and my stress ball that my psychiatrist gave me to keep my stress levels down and left the bakery. I turn to run out of the bakery and see Spike, Octavia, and Scootaloo eating the corpses of the cakes. I tip toe the other direction and bump into Rainbow, but she was like Spike and Scootaloo. I ran away from her crying as I went, I just had to hope that Rarity, Fluttershy, and Applejack were still doing okay. I decided to go and check on Fluttershy since I was going in the direction of her cottage. I ran by an apple stall and grabbed and apple and put it in my hair. I walked by a house that was home to the best music makers or maker now as Octavia was dead. I knocked on the door and waited to see if anypony opened the door. After about a minute, Vinyl Scratch came out, looking dead as the monsters but was still alive.

"Oh, hey Pinkie, did you need something," she asked me.

"Yes I do, I need you to come with me to Fluttershy's cottage and grab a weapon," I told her. When I said weapon she backed up a little bit.

"Why do I need a weapon," she asked.

"Just do it, please, there's these things that are killing the town and I already lost Rainbow and Twilight," I told her and I looked to see if anypony was coming and I saw Rainbow's corpse shambling towards us. I pointed at the monster to let Vinyl see and she instantly ran inside and grabbed a metal baseball bat. We left her house and started to run for Fluttershy's cottage. We ran by a flower shop that was on fire and burning, and Rose was hanging out the second story window. Vinyl continued going to Fluttershy's cottage, but I stood there and saw Twilight stumble out the front door with her skin charred and falling off, but some parts were still burning. I continued running with Vinyl and didn't look back at the nightmare that was Ponyville. We had finally shown up at Fluttershy's cottage and started to look for Fluttershy. All of her animals were gone and her front door was open. I walked up slowly and pulled out my apple and got ready to throw it. I ran inside as fast as I could and swirled around to see if anypony was behind the door. I walked upstairs to see Fluttershy cowering in a corner. I looked over to see a black stallion with red hair with gray stripes in his hair. He looked at me and started to calm significantly. Fluttershy also started to calm when she noticed me. The stallion ran past me and started to drink out of the faucet. I turned to Fluttershy and gave her a questioning look.

"I found him on my way here, he was running from Twilight, and he says that he knows what these things are," she told me in a way that she never really spoke.

"Are you okay Fluttershy," I asked her.

"I'm fine," She told me. I walked downstairs and told Vinyl to come inside and shut the door behind her. I sat on the couch and waited for nightfall.

"We should wait here until sunrise, since we are in the Everfree almost nothing should come up here," I told everypony. I laid back and sat Gummy on the couch next to me. I pulled out my stress ball and started to squeeze it with my hooves. I looked at Vinyl, and she had already passed out. I looked at the stallion that had come here with Fluttershy. "So do you know what these things are?"

"Yes and no," He said. "These things are in folklore that dates back to the beginning of pony life. They're what my ancestors called the walking dead, but I call them zombies."

"Okay, what else do you know about them," asked Fluttershy who had finally come downstairs.

"Well, the infection starts with an unlucky starter or if somepony is foolish enough to infect anypony else. The infection spreads via bites, saliva in any cut or in your eyes or mouth, and the only way to kill them is if you destroy the brain."

"Wait, Pinkie didn't Twilight leave to go get medical attention at the Canterlot hospital," asked Fluttershy.

"Yes, she did, wake up Vinyl, now," I commanded. I got up and walked over to Vinyl and woke her from her light sleep. "Vinyl we need you to contact the princess, Canterlot might be in trouble," I told her she got up and started to use her magic to contact the princess, after a minute of a lot of concentration she was able to create a stable connection with Celestia.

"Who is this, Vinyl, why are you contacting me at 11 at night," asked Celestia who seemed rather mad that we awoke her.

"Princess, we need you to quarantine Canterlot hospital, in Ponyville there is this virus going around making ponies eat other ponies then the ponies that are bitten and killed will come back to life as one of the dead, and the cycle repeats, but Twilight, who is dead princess, was sick and went to Canterlot hospital, so they nurses there might be sick and infected," I told the princess, as quick as I could. The look on her face went from anger to worry, in a matter of seconds. As she was thinking about what to do and how to contain the virus, in the background you could hear an explosion and see yellow light fill her room from her window. She flew out of her bed and looked out of her window and from here it looked as if the hospital just exploded, and the flames were spreading. We were watching the princess come back from her window, when we saw, what looked like a doctors head fly through the window. "Princess be careful he could still be alive, quickly step on the head."

"What do you mean the head is disconnected from the body," she walked over to the head and the head managed to jump up at her and bit her on the leg. She threw the leg to the ground and stepped on it, causing the head to shatter into a million pieces. "What the fuck is going on, Pinkie?"

"I don't know princess, but I'm sorry princess it was nice knowing you," Just before we cut off the connection we heard her door slam open, and her guards came in and started to give medical attention to the bite, but in under a matter of minutes she went into shock and slammed into the ground. The guards tried to make her regain consciousness but failed, they stood up and started to walk out of the room when Celestia started to get up they turned around and ran over to see if she was okay. One guard was unlucky and got bit by the zombie princess, Vinyl canceled her magic flow, and sat down and hugged her baseball bat. I sat on the couch and punched a pillow, with all my strength, causing the pillow to rip. I took the pillow in my mouth and cursed as many swears that I knew. I heard Fluttershy run upstairs and then I heard large amounts of crying. I stood up and walked around the house and looked for a weapon that I could use. I found nothing of use so I decided to take the stallion with me to the shed and told Vinyl to protect Fluttershy with all her might.

"So what's your name," I asked the stallion.

"My name is Dark Lightning," he told me. "I thought you knew everyponies names, why don't you feel mine, I feel left out."

"Lately, I haven't had time to go and learn everyponies names," I told him.

"That's alright, I'm actually in Ponyville on business so I wasn't expecting you to," he told me as he laughed. We reached the shed and pulled the door's handle. Inside was a bunch of tools for gardening. I walked inside and looked for the lightest object. I came across a machete and Dark came across a hatchet. We ran back to the house and locked the door behind us. I finally laid down for the night and fell asleep with Vinyl and Dark there and Fluttershy upstairs.

As Derpy and I made it to Sweet Apple Acres, we could tell that the apple family had been busy fortifying their farm house. I walked to the front door and knocked 11 so AJ knew it was me. She opened the door and let Derpy in and then I followed I saw Sweetie Belle playing with Apple Blooms dolls, and calmed down from the hectic afternoon. I saw Big Mac carrying a sledgehammer and Granny Smith with her war helmet on. I followed Applejack to the kitchen and sat down and cried into my hooves. Applejack sat next to me and asked me what was wrong.

"Rainbow, Scootaloo, and Octavia are dead Applejack," I told her. I looked back into my hooves and started to cry some more.

"It's gonna be okay Sugarcube," she told me while hugging me. She was breathing very shakily, so I guess she was crying.

"I don't know about Pinkie or Fluttershy, though, so I guess Pinkie went to Fluttershy's cottage," I told her. I stopped crying and Applejack stopped hugging me. I walked into the other room and looked out the window. I saw somepony, but I didn't recognize him, and he didn't look dead as he was galloping towards the barn. "Applejack somepony is in the barn."

"Who," she asked as she was walking towards the door that leads to the barn.

"I don't know, he had a seafoam green mane and tail and an orange coat," I told her as she went into the barn. I ran after to make sure that she would be safe. I got into the barn and saw Applejack staring down a stallion.

"Applejack, calm down he doesn't look like one of them," I told her, she untensed slightly. I walked towards the stallion and stared him up and down, he seemed to be alive. "Who are you, sir."

"My name is Seafoam Breeze," he told me.

"What are you doing here," asked Applejack.

"I was running from those monsters," he told us.

"I think we should let him in Applejack," I told Applejack.

"Fine, but if you make any funny moves I will buck you through the wall," she told him, which he shook his head nervously. I walked back inside and Applejack followed me and finally Seafoam.

"So, Seafoam, how come I've never seen you in Ponyville before," I asked him.

"That's because I'm in Ponyville on a business trip with my friend, that I lost back at the bar," he told us.

"What's your friend's name," I asked.

"Dark Lightning," he told us. "Fastest earth pony you'll ever see."

"Yeah, right, I'm the fastest," said Applejack.

"No, trust me you're not, if he and Rainbow Dash, with Rainbow Dash flying and him running he would beat her by a good three and half minutes."

"Can you please not say Rainbow Dash," I told him.

"Why," he asked.

"Rainbow is dead," I told him as I started to cry.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know," he said with regret in his voice. I went over to the couch and laid down and started to fall asleep, but Sweetie Belle came over and laid with me.

"Hi, Sweetie Belle," I told her.

"Hi, sister," she told me. I looked over to see Applejack and Applebloom asleep in the recliner. Sweetie Belle and I were about to be.

Maybe two hours later the entire house shook, waking everpony. Applejack and I ran outside to see part of Canterlot, exploding and burning. I fell down and cursed into the dirt.

"Rarity we need to get back inside, now," we started to walk back inside when a pony grabbed Applejack and bit her neck, ripping out her jugular. "Rarity go." Was the last thing she ever said. I turned to run and saw Big Mac running outside, to save his sister. I saw him slam the sledge, into the horses head, sending brain matter and skull chunks everywhere. I watched him kneel before his sister dead corpse, but his heart picked up when he saw his sister move. Applejack bit him in the neck and ripped out his windpipe, causing him to die of lack of oxygen. I ran inside and stopped Applebloom from running outside. I turned to see Granny Smith in her rocking chair, I walked over to see if she was okay, I checked her pulse but it wasn't there. I sat and looked at the five other ponies, and cried. I heard something slam against the door. I looked out the window to see Big Mac and Applejack trying to break down the door.

`"We need to leave, now," I told everypony. Seafoam lead the fillies and Derpy out the barn door and I followed behind with my horn at the ready. We ran away from the farm and walked slowly down the streets of Ponyville. It looked as if some ponies were still alive, which could be the case as I've only seen six or so dead ponies. We were headed for Fluttershy's cottage. We saw the flower sister's, flower shop, burning, with I think rose's burnt and charred upper half crawling it's way towards. I levitated the corpse upward which caused, her entrails to fall to the ground. Applebloom and Sweetie looked away. I threw the empty corpse through the window of the burning building. We finally got to the path that would bring us to Fluttershy's cottage. We got up the path and Seafoam knocked on the front door, 11 times. We waited until we heard moving inside, the front door opened and right there was Vinyl Scratch. She opened the door all the way when she saw me and let us all in. I saw Pinkie sleeping on the couch with Gummy on her stomach, and a stress ball on the floor. I went and sat on the floor next to Pinkie. Vinyl went back to her spot on the ground next to the kitchen, and Seafoam sat on the bottom stair. I heard movement upstairs and saw another stallion come down. Seafoam seemed to brighten.

"Bro, what's going on," asked the stallion, while hugging him.

"Dark, when did we get split up," he asked who I'm guessing was Dark Lightning.

"I think back at the bar, I saw this cute waitress and I went after her, and then I ended up in an alleyway, without my wallet," he told him. I started to fall asleep for hopefully the final time this night. The fillies went and slept in one of Fluttershy's animals beds that looked like it was for a dog. I saw Dark and Seafoam go to the kitchen, and sit in front of the sink. I fell asleep, knowing that everypony was currently safe.
