Overrun Castle

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

As we approached the castle, I could instantly tell that something was wrong as the windows were all shattered and the front entrance was busted to the floor. I noticed all the dead in the garden just wandering. I picked up a rock and threw it at a boarded up house, which the dead heard the rock bounce off a wall and started wandering to it. All the dead wandered away from the castle and started to pull the boards off the house. We started to walk towards the castle while the dead were distracted taking down someponies barricades. We made it inside the castle and found a spacious room that we could hold out in and catch our breath.

"Hey, Pinkie why did you throw that rock," Rarity asked.

"I had the chance to test something about them and now we know that they react to sound, so their sight must not be too good as they would have seen us," I told her. "I might have accidentally killed somepony in the process but still."

She looked at me like I was crazy, but I think I was crazy at that point. I looked to see if everypony was safe, and everpony looked safe. I walked towards the door and look out to see if there is anything outside the door. Okay so plan one would have to be, get some food and water. I look at Luna and she looks back at me.

"Luna do you know where the kitchen is," I ask her.

"Of course, I do I own this castle now," she said, in a very sad tone. She got off the box that she was sitting on. I also told Rarity and Nurse Redheart to come with us. We prayed that we wouldn't die and we left for the kitchen. I looked down the halls of the castle and noticed one or two dead here and there but it was rather empty. We made our way to a corridor that was wider than the rest. Luna made her way down the hall quickly but silently. She opened a pair of double doors and let us in and quickly shut the door. I looked around at the dining room and went to the first door I saw. I opened the door and saw the kitchen. Overrun. The kitchen was swarming with them. I walked forward a little and let Rarity in and then nurse Redheart, as Luna had left and gone back to join the others. I saw Rarity levitate her gun up and then I whispered a no to her. I walked over to one of them and stabbed my machete into the back of their skull. I pulled the machete out of their head and the body dropped like a sack of potatoes. I looked around and found a knife that was long and sharp. I gave it to Rarity and us slowly but carefully killed down the numbers. I walked over to the final dead and slammed my machete into the back of their head. My machete broke off in their head so I was now weaponless, the body dropped to the ground. I looked around and grabbed a mallet, that was used for squeezing fruits and vegetables. I went over to all the doors and opened them up. All of them were pantries with tons of food, so much food that we would last for maybe about three years in the castle. That is unless if we could make our way to the garden and use it for growing crops. I went to the final door and looked on the other side, the other side was an empty hallway that went nowhere, but had a whole bunch of doors. I had Rarity and Nurse Redheart help me open the doors. Every door was another pantry bigger than the ones in the kitchen. With the food, we had now we would last maybe ten years with gardening. I wanted to find the quickest way and safest way to the kitchen from where ever we were going to keep our living quarters. I walked back into the dining room and locked the other doors besides the one we came in from. We all left back for the others.
