A second Changeling Invasion of Equestria and her neighboring Nations has brought the final strongholds of each country to their knees as the swarm pushes further inland. The Princesses of Equestria have tried rallying any sort of help that could possibly be gathered and failed at each turn. The only option; one that would seem futile to any outside observer, is to attempt to reach out to a race beyond the confines of Equus. Thus, Twilight Sparkle is sent forth to a planet similar to Equus after much research in order to make contact with the planet's dominant intelligent species.

(FYI the chapters for this story will be very long, 8k to 9k each, so it'll take me a while to get them out.)
