A dark green Humvee with European Liaison plates came to a halt at the simple red and white striped security gate of the USAG Darmstadt Army Base in Germany.

"Off to lunch, Major?" Asked an MP Officer as he stepped to the rolled down passenger window of the vehicle, his M4 slung across his chest.

"Yep. You want anything, Corporal? We're goin' down to Das Krü for today." Returned the US Army Major behind the wheel, speaking past the Officer besides him in the passenger seat.

"I've already eaten, Sir. Thanks for the offer, though. ETA on you being back, Sir?"

"45 minutes. Sargent Rich back there is our designated driver, FYI." Spoke the Major, pointing to the soldier sat behind him.

"Alright. You enjoy your meal."

The MP signaled to his partner sitting in the base's security booth for the gate to be lifted. The Humvee's engine gave a low rumble as it pulled away from the checkpoint and began down the paved road away from the Army base.

"Oh, goddamnit." Whined the Major from behind the wheel as he looked to the dash of the Humvee.

"What?"

"We're already below a quarter tank. I told fuckstick back there we'd be back in 45 minutes, but that'll change if we gotta stop for gas."

"Just drive slow and turn off the AC. It's not even hot out today, especially with all the clouds." Responded the First Lieutenant in the passenger seat.

The Major complied as he rolled his own window down, fresh German countryside air flowing into the vehicle.

"The fuck is that?" Exclaimed the Sargent from the backseat, the Major and First Lieutenant beginning to look around outside the vehicle as they drove.

"What? The hell are you complaining about?" Called the Lieutenant.

"Fuckin' 3 o'clock! You see that shit?"

The Major let off the gas as he and the Lieutenant looked to their left at a pure black sphere hovering mere feet from the grass across the way in a field; pink and white lightning arcing from the sphere of energy as it began to grow wider. The sphere went from an inky black to a pure, cobalt white as it suddenly grew in diameter, thunder erupting as lightning singed the earth around it. The Humvee came to a screeching halt as all three aboard looked on in utter shock as the clouds above swirled, thunder clapping as a flash of light blinded the three. As their eyes adjusted, the three were able to see that the sphere had now completely disappeared, a purple, four-legged creature standing in its place.

"What the fuck... w-what the fuck?" Mumbled the Sargent from the back seat.

The creature's head seemed to turn in their direction, all three aboard staying completely motionless as they looked on.

"Dude, what in the hell just happened?" What is that?" The Lieutenant spoke in shock.

The Major reached down and pulled a lever to engage the parking brake, his door swinging open as he stepped from the vehicle and ran to the rear of the truck; the Lieutenant and Sargent following as they exited. The Major pulled an M4 from a lockbox in the trunk of the Humvee and racked the charging handle; a round being pushed into the chamber with a click.

"What the fuck!? Are you gonna shoot it?" Shouted the Lieutenant.

"No, but do you want to take chances going to see what the hell that thing is without your rifle?"

Without any more words, the Lieutenant and Sargent took their own M4s from the truck and brought their weapons to the ready as the three began walking towards the creature, its fairly large eyes still trained on them.

"Hello!! Do you speak Equestrian?!" The creature's female voice yelled to them, one of its limbs being raised to wave.

The three stopped dead in their tracks.

"W-what..."

"Hello!?" Called the creature once more.

"Hello." Returned the Major, his M4's sights aimed directly at the creature's head.

"Y-you actually speak Equestrian?!"

"We don't speak whatever the fuck that is, you speak English!"

"It doesn't matter what we call the language, what matters is that we can communicate!"

The three soldiers remained completely still as their minds raced.

"The fuck is that, and why does it speak English?"

"Hell if I know, Sargent. I don't know what to even think right now."

"Do you... things... have names?!" It asked.

"US Army Major Denzel Mase. The fuck is your name?"

"US Army... what? That's a very long name!"

"She doesn't know what that means, you ass hat," Spoke the Lieutenant as he slapped Major Mase on the arm, "His name is Denzel Mase! I'm Jay Rodger and this off to my right is Victor Carte!"

"Denzel Mase, Jay Rodger, and Victor Carte, huh? My name is Twilight Sparkle, Princess Twilight Sparkle if you want to be official!"

"Princess Twilight Sparkle, huh? So, you're an authority figure?" Major Mase shouted.

"Princess is a word you recognize as authoritative?" Inquired Twilight.

"Yeah; Princesses are the daughters of Kings and Queens. Is that what you are?"

"No, my Mother and Father aren't Royalty. Our races have different ideas of what it means to be a Princess."

"Should we go over to her? She obviously isn't gonna kill us or some shit." Stated Lieutenant Rodger, his M4 still raised.

"I dunno, LT," Major Mase turned back to address Twilight, "So, why are you here? You've obviously teleported here for a reason!"

"I was sent here as an ambassador, more or less! Can we stop shouting across this field?"

The three Soldiers shared a look.

"Alright, fall in. Keep your rifles at the ready; if she was teleported here there's no telling what kind of crazy ass powers she has." The Major finally spoke, he and his two comrades beginning to walk towards the purple Alicorn.

"I am grateful you three have actually decided to speak to me. I can tell you're confused by my presence." Commented Twilight as she too began walking towards them.

"Yeah; confused is one way to put it. Exactly why are you here, and where did you come from?" Lieutenant Rodger spoke as the trio finally met with Twilight; the Alicorn standing at chest-height in relation to them.

"The Magical land of Equestria; and simply put, my Nation is in need of your world's assistance."
