Adventures in Equestria: A My Little Pony Fanfiction

Stardust continues to walk through Ponyville with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.

“I don’t know, you two” he said, “what if I never-”

But then he bumps into Doctor Hooves. So Stardust gets up and reaches his hoof out for the good doctor. So Doctor Hooves takes his hoof and gets up.

“Next time” he said “watch where you’re going!”

“Sorry, sir. I’m new here. My name is Stardust Blaze.”

“My name’s Time Turned, but everyone calls me Doctor Hooves.”

…

“Say” the doctor said “you’re not from around here, are you?”

“I don’t know where I’m from. I have, what the purple one calls, amnesia.”

“The purple one?”

Rainbow Dash then said “Stardust, her name is Twilight Sparkle, Princess Twilight Sparkle to be exact.”

“Wait a second! You know Princess Twilight!?”

“Well, kinda. She provided me with hospitality when she found me in a set of caverns, and her friends are trying to help me fit into society.”

“I understand how that feels. I pretty much tinker in my laboratory all day, and some ponies think I’m strange.”

“What’s a laboratory” Stardust asked.

Doctor Hooves took Stardust Blaze, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie to his laboratory.

“I’m glad you asked” he said, “the laboratory is where I do most of my inventions as I try to make sense of the world around me, discovering new connections between what’s known and what was never thought was possible.”

Pinkie Pie looks at Doctor Hooves’ inventions.

“Oooooooooo” she said.

Then she bumped into Rainbow Dash, and Rainbow Dash looked annoyed, to which Pinkie Pie nervously smiled.

“Oh, I forgot to mention, my name is Rainbow Dash, one of the newest Wonderbolts.”

“Amazing!” Doctor Hooves shouted “A Wonderbolt in my laboratory!? So did Stardust say that you’re some of Princess Twilight’s friends?”

“We sure are” Rainbow responded.

Pinkie then said “My names-”

The doctor interrupted her, saying “Pinkie Pie, I know. You’ve invited me to participate in an educational rap one time.”

“Oh yeah, that’s right.”

“Right.”

Doctor Hooves looks at Stardust.

“Say, Mr. Blaze” he said “you said that you have amnesia, correct?”

“Correct.”

“What was the first thing you remember in your life?”

“All I remember is waking up in Princess Twilight’s bedroom. She told me that she found me in a giant blue sphere wearing a similar hat and cape to Star Swirl the Bearded. She said that I also have the same cutie mark and spells that he has.”

“Wait!” shouted Pinkie, “I just realized something! If Stardust has the same outfit, cutie mark, and spells as Star Swirl the Bearded, then could that mean that he is Star Swirl the Bearded!?”

Rainbow Dash told her “I doubt it. According to what Twilight told us, Star Swirl had a white coat and mane, and he had a long white beard. This guy is yellow and orange, and he doesn’t have a beard.”

Stardust then said “Wait, Doctor! I just realized! If you can invent things, then maybe you can invent something to make us go back in time?”

Pinkie told Stardust “Actually, Twilight said not to mess with time.”

“Also” the doctor told Stardust “Time Travel is an old way of thinking. Instead, think about having time come to you.”

“Is that possible?”

“It is, but there’s a magic spell for it. Why did you ask?”

“Beacuse if I have amnesia, I would like to go back in time in order to see what kind of pony I used to be.”

...

“Hold on!” Stardust shouted “I just realized something! When Twilight and her friends found me in that sphere, I had a collection of ancient spells. Maybe one of them is a spell that involves time. But then again, like Pinkie said, we don’t want to mess with time. So we’ll need to find a way to go back in time without messing with time.”

“I didn’t say go back in time, I said have time come to us. But still, I see your point.”

...

“Well, let’s see if I do have a time spell, and then we’ll worry about what to do next.”

Later, at Twilight’s castle, Stardust knocked on the front door, to which Twilight opened the door.

“Hey, Princess Twilight, was it?” Stardust told Twilight “I’d like to look at my collection of spells, if you don’t mind.”

“Sure” Twilight responded “it’s your collection”

So Stardust Blaze, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie enter the castle. But Doctor Hooves bowed before Twilight first.

“It’s an honor to be in your presence, your highness” he said.

Doctor Hooves then kissed Twilight’s left forehoof, and he walked into the castle to follow the three who walked in. So the four of them went into Twilight’s bedroom, and Stardust browsed his collection of spells. He put one page behind the other over and over again after reading it. But then, he stopped as he read one page and widened his eyes.

“This is it!” he shouted. “Star Swirl the Bearded’s Time Travel Spell!”
