THE SEARCH FOR RUBY

Ponyvile was in a uproar the whole atmosphere was electric for one it of its young fillies have gone missing and not a trace of her could be found. Princess Twilight Sparkle was in the center of the mayhem, a crowd of concerned ponies which looked on to her for direction in the search for Ruby Pinch.

"Alright everypony I have talked to Berry Punch as to were her daughter might be!" Twilight Sparkle exclaimed " So far the places and areas she might be at would be picking apples at Sweet Apple Orchard, playing with the animals around Fluttershy's cottage, or....." Twilight paused and took a deep breath for telling the ponies the other place Ruby Pinch might be "... or wondering around the entrance to the Everfree forest ....from what her mother told me she loves the flowers that grow along there. "

" She might have wondered into the forest too so in that case I have wrote a letter to Princess Celestia to as we should proceed when it comes to going into such a dangerous place." Twilight held back her worry as she spoke the last part. The Everfree forest was a dangerous place Ruby could have been grabbed by something or have gotten hurt by just being near the forest. But she held hope that the first two areas of search would bring the little filly home. They still had plenty of day light left it was only a few hours after noon and Twilight promised herself that Ruby Pinch would be home safe before the sunset.

" Applejack !" called Twilight

A orange pony with blone hair topped with a tan cowboy hat stepped from the crowd " Yes, Twilight?"

" I need you, your family , Miss Cheerlie, and ..... " Twilight took a second to think if she needed any more ponies to search the apple orchard , one more couldn't hurt she decided.

" You, Bon Bon !" Twilight said with a burst while pointing at the white pony with blue and pink hair. Bon Bon looked slightly startled by Twilight's sudden outburst, and surprised that she actually knew her name since she very rarely associated with her.

" Yes Princess Twilight?"

" I want you to go with the Apple family I know you and Lyra are familiar with Berry Punch and Ruby"

Bon-Bon nodded her head before a mint green unicorn with white highlights in her mane popped right beside her. It was Lyra Heartstrings Bon-Bon marefreind. Lyra had a reputation of being a bit odd, obsessive, and emotional. Twilight from what she read about pony mood disorders would have diagnosed her as bi-polar.

"Oh OH! " Lyra exclaimed with a hoof waveing in the air and bounceing as if this was not a serious form of business but as if she wanted to picked for a team in a game.

" Yes Lyra ..." Twilight said hesitantly

" I belive I should be part of the team that search's near the Everfree forest I myself have been the forest searching for creatures with hands that have five digits and walk on two legs like your pet dragon Spike there!" Lyra hyperactively explained with great enthusiasm.

Bon-Bon just stood beside her and smiled and shook her head and then just looked at Twilight as if trying to signal to " let her down" nicely.

Twilight just lowed her head and thought for a second to think before opening her muzzle to reply.

" I like that idea very much even though I do not agree with your habit of searching the Everfree forest numerous times , I do need somepony who is familiar to a degree of the forest."

Lyra smiled a big joyful smile while Bon-Bon eyes just filled with shock and concern

" What! You are knowingly allowing my marefreind to search in the EVERFREE FOREST!" Bon -Bon shouted

Before Twlight could reply Lya did it for her.

" Oh come on sweetie you know I go into the Everfree forest all the time "

" Yah! Without my knowledge or consent!"

" Huff ! When do you I need your consent to do anything Im a fully grown mare you know!"

" Since you brought home a small dead creature with two legs, hands, AND also most got shocked by lighting because you wanted to bring it back to life! Like you read in one of your stupid scary book's only to find out it was a breezy who got mauled to death !"

" I THOUGHT I DISCOVERED A NEW BIPEDIAL ANIMAL THAT I WANTED TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE SO IT WOULD NOT GO EXTINCT AND DISCOVER AT THE SAME TIME HOW TO REVIVE THE DEAD! IT WAS WORTH A SHOT!!!"

" Yah and you almost got the SH....."

" GIRLS GIRLS!" Twlight intervended

" I would never send a pony into a dangerous environment with out proper protection Princess Celestia is sending help as we speak. Though I would appreciate it if Lyra went with the search party because the little filly ( as far as I know ) is good friends with the mother and knows Lyra "

" I also babysit Pinchy on occasions too !"

Twilight closed her eyes and pointed her hoof towards the crowd " Exactly! We need somepony who Ruby Pinch would come too if she see's or hear's them"

Then as if on queue a bright shiny chariot appeared in the blue sky with blinding glow. Twilight steadily opened her eyes just as a golden chariot appeared in the shine of the sun

" Dear and faithful Twilight I am here to help in the search. " Princess Celestia breathed as she stepped graciously out of the chariot.
Everyone in attendance bowed even Twilight, "even though she was a Princess herself.'"

" Rise." The sun princess said with kindness then looked at Twilight " And Miss Twilight Sparkle you should know better than to bow to me we are now happily equals " she added with a chuckle.

Twilight chuckled back " I know but old habits die hard ... but any hoof we have formulated search parties and we need some more support when searching the Everfree Forest could we use some of you guards to do so, please."

Twilight seemed kind of cautious bout asking the last part but already knew the answer the situation and trying to keep herself from over thinking made it hard for her not to be a little timid.

Celestia just eyed her for a second and the then with her head tilted up replied " Twilight I did not come all the way to just send my guards to help while I watch, I myself I find it in the best interest if I joined the Everfree forest search party."

A walleyed grey pony bounded out of the crowd and shouted with glee, " WOW ! Did you hear that Berry Punch Princess Celestia is gonna help us find Ruby this is so great I could...." before the blonde walleyed pony could finish she ran into a lamppost.

The Princess winced before taking a look at the pegasus to see if she was ok then walking over to dark pink pony who was in the fetal postion crying.

Celestia raised a wing over Berry Punch " Don't worry my little pony everything shall be fine just have faith.... " Berry looked up at her in which Celesti nuzzled her then whisperd ".... I will do everything in my power to bring her home" And with that stood up and addressed Twilight. " Twilight I am taking one of my guards with me into the Everfree forest, who else do you have going in to forest ?"

Twilight smiled nervously and then answered " Well... Miss Lyra Heartstring will be since she unconventionally knowledgeable of the Everfree forest and knows the filly very well."

" Fine that's acceptable, so please introduce me to this mare"

" That would be me your highness!" the mint green Lyra ran up eagerly to the Princess " I am Lyra Heartstring full time musician , part time bi-ped enthusiast and researcher." Princess just looked at the perky smiling mare then smiled back.

" Also if I may add if we are in the forest and find hoof prints that are large and appears to walk on two legs. Please let me know, uhhh... that is after finding Ruby obviously ." Lyra added with just a frown at the end.

Princess Celestia just nodded and smiled before leaning over to Twilight and quietly said " Make that two guards. "
