"Spike. I need you to send a letter to princess celestia." Twilight said as she paced around the room

Spike replied "ok just let me get the paper and quill." and then he ran of.

As she paced around, her sense of ergency kept getting bigger. She felt like something bad was gonna happen.

"Guards, a fence, the smell of rotting meat, and the sounds... This makes no sense." Twilight whispered to herself.

Starlight walked into the room. "What was that?" She asked.

"Oh nothing. Just feeling a bit nervous, that's all." Twilight replied.

Starlight shrugged her shoulders and walked back out. About a minute later, Spike came back with a paper and quill.

Twilight looked at spike and gestured him to start writing.

"Dear princess Celestia, ever since that meteor landed, all the Royal guard have been acting strange. They forced Fluttershy to move because she lived too close to the Everfree forest, and even though I'm a princess, they wouldn't answer me when I asked them what's going on. Earlier today, one even pointed their spear at pinkie when she got too close to the fence. It would be well appreciated if you told me what's going on. Sincerely Twilight Sparkle." She recited.

And with a burst of green fire, the letter faded into smoke which trailed up to Canterlot. Not even a minute later, Spike burped up a letter. It read "dear Twilight sparkle, do not worry, everything is under control. Sincerely princess Celestia.

"Well if the princess says it's under control, then it's under control." She said to herself.

"Goodnight Spike" she said to Spike before he left the throne room.

"Hold him down, you don't want him trying to bite another doctor!" one of the doctors said.

The former royal guard soldier growled, squirmed, and bit where ever he could as two of the doctors strapped him down.

"We tried everything to cure him. What makes you think this will work!" Another doctor said.

"It's good to at least try!" The first doctor said.

"Well then do it!" The third doctor said.

The first doctor went quiet and started to perform a very complicated healing spell. When he touched his horn on the guards head, it went limb. Suddenly the guard started squirming more than ever and managed to snap the straps that restrained it, quickly getting up and biting a large area out of the doctors neck killing him in no time at all. Another doctor pressed the alarm which flashed red and made a ear piercing sound. There was the sound of screams and then... Nothing except the sound of the alarm and growls.

Twilight woke up to a loud knocking on the doors of her castle. As she walked down she caught a whiff of rotting meat again and looked out the window in the direction of the Everfree forest. She opened up the door to see Zecora was the one knocking.

"Hello Twilight, good to see you today in the morning light." She rhymed.

"Hey Zecora, glad to see your ok." Twilight said.

"Yes, if I had not seen the meteor overhead, I would have surely been dead." Zecora replied.

"So what do you need?" Twilight asked.

Before Zecora could speak, she was cut off from a royal guard walking up to Twilight.

"Princess Twilight. Princess Celestia has requested your audience to the Royal castle. It is urgent." He said.

"Sorry Zecora, the princess needs me." Twilight said.

"It is alright, I understand you are doing what is right." Zecora replied.

Twilight walked with the guard and saw a chariot with all her friends already on it except Rainbow Dash, who prefers flying. All her friends greeted her as she stepped onto the chariot. When the chariot took off, they all got another whiff of that horrid smell of rotting meat.

"Why what is that absolutely awful smell?" Rarity asked as she covered her nose.

"Don't know, but it smells worse than a dirty pig on a tuna boat." Applejack declared.

Fluttershy's just screamed "evil' in her dramatic voice, and pinkie pies face turned an unhealthy shade of green as she covered her mouth, but It was no use, she threw up over the side.

"Boy, that was a doozy!" She said in her excited tone.

When the mane 6 landed in Canterlot, they noticed a hospital that had been quarantined much like the forest.

"Ooh, that must be SOME party!" Said Pinkie Pie excitedly.

"Those aren't party lights, Pinkie. Those are alarms coming from that building." Twilight said to Pinkie.

As they made there way to the castle, Twilight over heard a doctor speaking to a royal guard. Most she made out was "not even our best healing spells work on it."

"What's it?" She thought to herself.

She continued the ponder over what they were talking about until her thoughts got cut off by Apple Jack.

"Whatcha thinks going on at that there hospital?" She asked.

"I don't know, but I believe it's connected to the meteor that landed in the Everfree." Twilight answered.

Twilight, not paying attention walked right into the castle doors, she blushed in embarrassment but quickly recovered. The two royal guard ponies opened up the door. The mane 6 were all shocked to see princess Celestia was standing right there.

"Quickly, come in we have much to talk about" Celestia said.

As they walked in they saw wooden boards on all of the Windows.

"Just preparing for the worst, that's all" said Celestia when she noticed them looking.

Celestia led them to the Royal library and motioned for them to have a seat.

"I'm sure your worried as much as I am about the meteor?" Celestia asked twilight.

"Oh um.. Uh yes I am worried, very worried." Twilight replied.

"Well now your questions are going to get answered, all of yours." Celestia regretfully said.

She knew everyone's chances of surviving were one in a million.

"First of all, about the meteor." Twilight started saying. "What is with it, why does everything seem so mysterious ever since it crash landed?" She asked.

"It turns out that in that meteor contained an infection that once it takes affect it puts the host in a coma and revives them as one of these." Celestia answered.

She motioned them to come to a window, they all looked outside and to their Horror, they saw the back of the hospital along with ponies covered in blood, missing limbs and a moan so soulless and evil it even had rainbow dash slightly shivering, Fluttershy's on the other hand ran to a corner of the library with a look of horror.

"Wha...what are those?" Rarity asked.

"Former doctors and nurses of the Canterlot hospital, the guards dubbed them as "zombies", I just call them gouls". Celestia answered.

"Please tell me you have them under control?" Twilight begged.

"Yes we do, we are trying to make a cure but if we cannot, we will execute them." Celestia said as reassurance.

Even though she knew that there was hardly anyway of stopping them, she still wanted to try.

Rainbow dash sighed in relief but was still a little scared.

"But just in case the worst happens, I want all of you to where your elements of harmony at all times and stay in your homes."Celestia said to them all.

Pinkie pie burst out, "oh they're all just grumpy, I'm absolutely, positively, cupcakeliciosly sure a party will make them feel better!"

"Actually darling, they're all... Dead." Rarity corrected Pinkie.

"Pffft, then how are they moving silly." Pinkie sarcastically asked."

"Because of the infection I just told you about." Celestia calmly said.

"Oh... Silly me." pinkie said.

"You may all go now but before you do, twilight, I'm having your very own Royal guard be deployed to your castle." Celestia said.

"Are you sure princess, I don't think I'm responsi-." Twilight tried saying but got cut off by Celestia.

"Yes, I am sure, ponyville I the closest area to the forest and it requires a fighting force in order to possibly survive. Celestia declared.

"Well if you insist princess. Goodbye" twilight finished.

"Goodbye all of you, have a safe trip back" Celestia replied.

Celestia went to her chambers to continue a spell she was working on.
