The Cards Are Greater Then The Magic
Making New Friends And The Yami Game
Previous ChapterAfter a strange turn of events, Tyler had found himself entering a portal into a magical land of pony's. It was here that he had Twilight Sparkle, a pony with wings and a horn. They had quickly formed a bond in a heated duel, Twilight being the victor. After the duel, Tyler had found out the true meaning of the words "Believe in The Heart of the Cards". However, Tyler was interrupted when a bright glow appeared on his chest. After all of that, Atem The Forgotten Pharaoh had announced his presence inside of Tyler's mind. What does all of this mean?!
Tyler stared at Twilight for a few moments, a bit in shock and surprise. He was both confused and amazed at what had happened. "A-Atem...?" Tyler said, Twilight looking at him confused. Tyler stood there for a few moments, slowly putting a hand on his chest. After a few moments of silence, Tyler looked at Twilight. "N-Never mind, It must have bee-" Tyler froze mid sentence after hearing the voice again.
'How do you know my name? Where am i? Who are you?' The voice, apparently named Atem, said in Tyler's mind. Tyler took a step back, not sure what to say. Twilight looked at Tyler, a look of concern on her face. Spike looked at Tyler confused, currently debating if he was just crazy. 'I am sorry I had startled you, but this is of utmost importance to me. I had just finished my duel with my other and i was supposed to join my friends in the afterlife.' Atem said, sounding slightly annoyed.
"Tyler, are you ok?" Twilight said, a look of shock, confusion, and a tinge of fear on Tyler's face. Tyler breathed in and out calmly, slowly calming himself down. He took another look at the new symbol on his chest, tracing the outline of the pyramid. Tyler was currently planning how to explain this to Twilight and Spike.
"Well, I guess I'm alright Twilight, if you don't count the fact that I have someone in my head now..." Tyler said, Twilight giving him a look. Tyler sighed, a bit lost himself on how he was going to explain this. 'Look, Atem. I'm just as confused as you are, if I knew what happened I would have gladly told you.' Tyler thought, waiting for an answer from the Pharaoh.
Twilight thought to herself for a moment before getting an idea, quickly galloping into her library. Spike stared at the library for a few moments before looking at Tyler. Tyler was currently in a deep thought conversation with the Pharaoh. Twilight came galloping back out, holding a quill and parchment with her magic. "Tyler, I think I'm ight know how to solve your p-" Twilight was cut off when she saw the amount of pony's starting to leave there homes, a few noticing Tyler.
'So, what your saying is that I was supposed to be with my friends. But something must have happened to send me to you?' Atem thought, Tyler giving a nod in response. 'I'll help in any way I can to bring you back to your era, but in the meantime, my name is Tyler' Tyler thought, hearing a noise of approval from the Pharaoh. Tyler sighed with relief before hearing the sound of hoof steps, turning around. Tyler took a step back, a large group of pony's gathered in front of him, staring at him.
Tyler took a step back as most of the pony's started to question what Tyler was and what he might do. Tyler looked at them all before clearing his throat. "I know you must be confused as to why something like myself is here. But I assure you I'm not here to cause any harm." Tyler said. Some of the pony's started to become suspicious of him, some even taking a step or two towards him.
Tyler was about to say something to help prove his case, but the symbol on his chest started to glow like before. Tyler could feel his body change a bit as all the pony's that had gathered took a few steps back, including Twilight and Spike. 'Let me handle it from here, my new partner.' Tyler heard Atem say, his hair starting to spike up a bit in a more wild manner, his jacket unzipping and looking to turn into a leather one, revealing a blue shirt that had turned into a tank top.
The light slowly died down and Tyler's normal green eye color had turned into red color, his facial features having more of a sharp look to it. Tyler had turned into Yami Tyler, a more experienced version of himself. Yami Tyler smiled and took a few steps forward before holding up his left arm, showing off the Dueling Disk. It shined in sun as the top popped up and the attachments sprang forward and connected to one another, forming the same miniature field as before.
"Attention Ponyville! You must be wondering what or who I am. In due time, I will tell you all, for now however, I bring all of you a gift." Yami Tyler's voice was different compared to Tyler's normal voice, being a bit deeper and having a more serious tone. He looked at Twilight, who was staring at Yami Tyler with a look on concern. Yami Tyler gave her a reassuring smile and looked back at the Pony's.
Meanwhile, an orange female pony with a blond mane and tail with a cowboy hat on was trotting her way to what looked like a small shop shack, lined with many apple products. From specialty brewed apple cider to just normal apples, it was incredible how many apples could be in one place. The orange pony happily hummed a tune to her self as she stacked her apple products into quite the impressive pattern.
She was about to flip the closed sign to open, but she had just noticed a noticeable absence of pony's in the area. In fact, now that she got a good look around, a lot of pony's had gone missing from there usual jobs in the market. "Huh, next ta discord, this is one of the most strangest things ah've seen..." The cowboy pony said, deciding to leave her small shop closed to have a look around. After all, pony's didn't just disappear, right?
After a bit of snooping and searching, it appeared that pony's had left there homes, but just didn't go to work. This had puzzled her greatly, every pony in ponyville always worked on time, the only excuse being that if some pony was sick. She had also noticed a large absence of strong parchment for a strange reason. After a bit more snooping, all of the pony's looked to be gathered around by Twilights Library.
She started to make her way past pony's to see what was worth all of the desperate attention that the pony's where giving it. She started to hear whispers and light talk about something called Life Points, Traps, Spells, and something about Light Monsters. The closer to the middle she got, the louder the whispers became. She had suddenly found herself listening in on pony's as they talked about the rules to some type of game.
Questions started to form and then swarm in her head the further she got. She heard other pony's question about Spell Cards. The word card caught her off guard a bit, but she couldn't turn back now. She had listened carefully to all the pony's, more confused then anything as one big question started to form into her mind as the pony's talked about it.
She had finally got to the middle of the crowd as it was an open area with a table and two chairs. The two chairs had been occupied by something she thought was a hairless monkey with something made of a big hunk of flashy metal on its arm. The other seat was occupied by a young filly with a soft yellow coat of fur and somewhat poufy red hair. the strange thing was that the filly had a red bow on her head, and all of this caught the cowboy pony's attention.
"Apple Bloom! Just what in tarnation do you think your doing out here!" the cowboy pony walked over to the table where the all too familiar Tyler sat in front of the filly named Apple Bloom. The said filly jumped at the mention of her name, dropping the cards she was somehow holding with her hooves. Tyler looked a bit confused at the sudden outburst from the orange mare, deciding to get up, looking down at the mare as she got to the table.
"I'm sorry Apple Jack, I know I wasn't supposed to be doin' this, but every pony looked like they where having so much fun while messin around with these here cards..." Apple Bloom said, her head low with shame. Applejack, the apparent name of the orange mare, would have told Apple Bloom off, but she was too distracted by the massive figure of Tyler looming over her.
Now naturally, Apple Jack was quite the brave pony. But this, it was a bit too much for her. She was only 3 feet tall and compared to a 6 1/2 foot tall giant that was nothing no pony has ever seen before. She tried to keep her fright of Tyler at bay, but with his shadow looming over her, it was harder said then done.
Tyler however, could plainly see this and knelt down to her eye level to try and make her more comfortable. It wasn't in vain as she did calm down enough to hold a conversation with. "Apple Jack was it? Apple Bloom here told me a small bit about you, just that you where her sister. But really, If Apple Bloom was not supposed to be here, it was my fault for not finding you first, so please save any scolding you might have given her, will you?" Tyler said, smiling at the now understanding mare. Although, she was still confused about why every pony was in this area.
"If ya don't mind me askin, what the hay is going on here anyway?" Apple Jack said, the confusion in her voice clear. Tyler chuckled at her question as he extended a hand to the library. Apple Jack looked over and could see Twilight and Spike, with a few other Unicorns, Working with the parchment that had disappeared from some areas. They where making cards just like the ones on the table that Tyler and herself where beside.
"Well Apple Jack, I came to this place a few hours ago and I ended up showing off the incredible game Duel Monsters. I'm sure you've heard of the rules while making your way here. Twilight asked me if I had any more cards then what I had on me. Sadly the answer was no, but she gave me the most surprising request and asked me if she could make her own. It would have been a lie if I said no." Tyler motioned for Apple Jack to follow him as he walked over to Twilight.
Twilight had smiled at me and passed a pile of freshly made cards over to a mare Unicorn, who proceeded to use her magic sort out the cards with notes that where given to them by Twilight and Tyler. After sorting out the generation the cards where from, the four piles where passed to the next Unicorn, who was a stallion, who had sorted the four piles into different sections and small stacks of 5 to 15 cards that where randomized. Once this step was done, the piles where given to the last Unicorn, who was another mare, to be wrapped in different silver like packs before sorted into different boxes, that Spike was carrying back and fourth into the library.
"I'm not sure how this might look to you, but quite a few pony's will enjoy this game after it was explained to th-" Tyler was interrupted when he was suddenly tackled to the ground. The sent of frosting filled his nose as the first thing Tyler saw when opening his eye's was pink. He heard a squealing noise and found out that the pink thing was suffocating him.
Tyler quickly struggled to get the thing off of his face, but it felt like it had an iron grip. "Pinkie, stop it, your suffocating him!" Twilight said, helping Tyler get Pinkie off of his face. Once Pinkie got off of Tyler, he took a deep breath in, coughing a bit. Tyler looked at Pinkie, who was a completely pink mare with hair like cotton candy. Pinkie was hopping around Tyler, speaking at such a fast speed, it was incredibly difficult for him to understand her.
"Ohmygoshwhatareyou? Doyoulikepartys? Whatsyourfavoratecolor? Whatarethesecardthinigies?" Pinkie said with a great amount of excitement in her voice. Tyler backed away a bit, started to get overwhelmed with questions. This continued for a few seconds before the pink mare made a large gasp and bolted off somewhere. Tyler stood there, a look of pure confusion on his face.
"What just happened...?" Tyler asked, causing some of the pony's to chuckle or giggle. He got up and off of the ground, rubbing his head a bit. Twilight trotted over to Tyler, helping him up on his feet.
"Sorry Tyler, Pinkie Pie can get excited about new pony's around ponyville. It was bound to happen eventually." Tyler smiled at her for a moment before Apple Jack trotted over to them. She was about to say something to Tyler, but something caught her eye. It looked just as strange as Tyler, but on a poster. It had green skin and some type of headgear on, it also had some strange type of cloth around its hands that was big and red. Bellow that was some text that spelled out Battlin Boxers.
Tyler walked up to Apple Jack, noticing what she was staring at. "Oh, interested in the Battlin Boxers series?" Tyler said, catching Apple Jacks attention, but only for a moment. 'Tyler, perhaps we could use this to our advantage. The little one might be in trouble and we could do something.' Atem said, Tyler thinking about the idea. "Perhaps I could explain myself in a different way?" Tyler said. Apple Jack's ears perked up at this and she looked at Tyler.
"What do you mean a different way?" Applejack said, causing Tyler to chuckle. He motioned her to wait next to Twilight as he entered Twilight's library again. Apple Jack trotted up to Twilight, giving her a look of confusion. Twilight gave her the same look and shrugged.
Apple Bloom had ran of to find her friends Sweetie Bell and Scootalo to tell them about Dueling Monsters. Of course they where excited about the idea, even more so when they thought that they could earn there Cutie Marks from it. Apple Bloom soon returned with her friends and two other mares. One was a cyan color and a rainbow mane and tail that didn't look like it was taken care of too often, she also had a pair of wings that she was using to float above the other 4 pony's. The other mare bellow her had a white coat that looked it was brushed three times over, the same could also be said about her purple mane and tail, that appeared to glitter in the light as she also had a horn that was almost like twilights, this one however was smaller and a bit more blunt. The cyan Pegasus looked a bit too excited and the Unicorn looked more curious then annoyed.
Twilight looked at the two mares a bit surprised. "Rainbow Dash and Rarity? What are you two doing here?" Twilight said as the mares trotted/flew over to her.
"Well darling, Sweetie Bell was making such a big deal about something called Dueling Monsters so I just had to see it for myself. That and she just would not stop pestering me about the subject." Rarity said, brushing some of her mane out from in front of her eye's. But before Twilight could ask why Rainbow Dash was here, she had already darted for one of the boxes that Spike was carrying into the Library. Spike however had set the box down to take a bit of a brake, causing Rainbow Dash to fly right into the door to the library. Right as Tyler opened the door, causing her to crash into him.
Inside, every pony that was close enough to the house could hear the sound of falling books, two voices yelling out in a panic, the frantic sound of flapping wings and wood splintering. However, that was all stopped the sound of a giant thump and then silence. After a bit, the door to the library slowly opened and Tyler walked out with Rainbow Dash. Tyler had a blank expression, as if suppressing a look. Rainbow Dash however, had an embarrassed look, her cheeks red and wings sticking up, outstretched in a locked position
Tyler cleared his throat and walked up to Apple Jack, a deck of cards in his hand. She looked at him for a moment before taking the deck of cards. "That's a Battlin Boxer deck, think it might suit you. Also, I would like to know if you would want to Duel me?" Tyler said as Apple Jack was looking threw the deck he had given her. To say the least, he might look strange, but Tyler knew what he was doing when he made a deck.
Tyler stared at her for an answer, but shrugged when she didn't give one. He walked back into Twilight's library again as Rainbow Dash trotted over to Apple Jack, helping her look over some of the cards in her new deck. Meanwhile, a certain some pony with many mismatched animal limbs was sitting on a twisted up couch, looking board out of its mind. This creature was called a Daconequus , a very special one in fact. The name of this Daconequus was Discord, a male to be correct.
Discord was starting to bore himself to insanity, but being who he was, he got an idea. But of course, what else to cure his boredom then to cause a little chaos with the little pony's of Ponyville. He snapped his fingers and a small TV appeared in front of him. He stared at it for a moment befo- "Excuse me Narrator but I think a Flat screen would be better then this." Well Discord, I was about to do that, and stop braking the fourth wall, that isn't your job. "Very well, my bad Narrator." Discord said, the TV turning into a big Flat screen TV.
He smiled and the TV turned on, showing ponyville a few hours ago. He was surprised to find Twilight staring into a portal. "Hmm, wonder what Sparkle Butt was doing with a portal of all things" Discord stared at the TV with a look of curiosity, but that was soon replaced with surprise as Tyler had tumbled out of the portal and into Twilight.
"A human? How interesting..." Discord thought out loud to himself as he continued to watch the events that had played out from before. Everything was quite boring up until Tyler brought out his cards. "Oh my, now that is interesting" Discord said with a smile. getting closer to the TV. Tyler looked like he was practicing a what he would do with his beginning hand when he drew it. After a while of watching this, it started to get boring again. That is, until Tyler and Twilight had there first duel.
Discord was not only surprised by the display of what a duel could do, he was also a bit jealous that someone found out how to cause chaos without any destruction to reality. Discord sat back down and pondered what he could do to learn how such a thing was possible. He did this for a bit until he looked at the TV again, seeing the beginning of Tyler, with the help of a few Unicorns, start to make more of the cards he had.
Discord slowly got a grin, a good, yet a bit chaotic plan forming in his mind. "Of course, what better to try and find out how he does it when I could just duel the Human itself!" Discord said, snapping his fingers, the TV disappearing. He was just about to leave before a thought crossed his head. "I don't even have any cards to duel the human..." Discord said with a frown. He thought about rethinking his plan, going back to his couch.
Meanwhile back in Ponyville, Tyler's original idea was to make cards for everyo- Sorry, every pony. Tyler had to get used to the new form of speech that was used in Equestria. Anyway, Tyler's original idea was to just make a deck for every pony. But, he slowly found out how boring that would be, so he decided to just do things how they where on earth. So, he had tons of packs ready to be sold to all the filly's and colts of Equestria, the parents as well. Tyler smiled at his work, granted he had help from Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Apple Jack with making room for his new section in the library.
Rarity had also decided to help, with décor of course. She had made it just the way Tyler wanted. Now, Tyler had Twilight help him with one last thing before he was opened for business. Tyler wanted Twilight to make different copy's of his duel disk like before. Why would he ask this? Because he wanted to hold a tournament right in Ponyville. Tyler thought it would be the perfect thing to help pony's teach themselves what it meant to duel.
Tyler had just set the stack of sign up sheets on his counter, Twilight putting the last of the dueling disks on display. Tyler sighed and leaned back on a table, a small smile on his face. "You have no idea how great full to you I am Tyler" Twilight said, trotting up to Tyler. "Sharing this card game and all of the knowledge of it. Its nice to have some change in Ponyville for once." Twilight said as Tyler looked at her, grinning.
"Your great full? Heh, that's the other way around from my perspective" Tyler said, getting a confused look from Twilight. Before Twilight could ask, Tyler made his way to the door to Twilight's library. Preparing himself from the oncoming storm of pony's, he opened the door, yelling out that his shop was now open.
Tyler barely had any time to run back behind his counter before the new card shop was flooded with pony's of all shapes and sizes, quickly looking at the packs of cards, the structure decks, and the Dueling Disk's. Tyler had a smile on his face as he watched the pony's brows his shop. Tyler was happy behind his counter, sorting out his cards on the side of giving pony's advice and checking out items they bought. Tyler didn't quite know how much bits where on earth, so he made an estimate that a bit in Equestria was a dollar on earth.
Tyler was just suggesting a pony to the Grave keeper Deck when some pony had shoved them out of the way while he had his back turned, looking threw some of the structure decks he had created. The said some pony had cleared there throat to catch Tyler's attention. The pony was successful, but Tyler didn't feel too good about the voice of the pony.
Tyler turned around with a few cards in his hands, looking at a brown earth stallion with a black mane and tail, his mane combed back as he had what looked like some type of suit and tie on. Twilight had mentioned something called Cutie Marks to Tyler when they where working. She said that they where the mark of a pony's special talent. The one this stallion had was three bags of cash on both of his flanks and the look on his face screamed snobby rich boy to Tyler.
Tyler stared at the stallion for a few moments before setting the cards he was holding down. "Sorry, how may I help you sir?" Tyler said, putting the best smile he could on his face. The stallion cleared his throat before looking at some of the framed cards or pictures on the wall behind Tyler.
"Yes, you can help me. Tell me, what is the strongest "Deck" you have. I would also like to know if there are any available teachers with such a game." The stallion said, his voice only proving Tyler's suspicions.
"Well, I can recommend a Blue-Eye's White Dragon deck. However the structure deck only has one Blue-Eye's in it, the others you will have to find in the Blue-Eye's packs or trade with other pony's. The Blue-Eye's deck itself contains many Delete repeated word powerful monsters, but once again, the structure deck is just one to start off with, it does not have all of the said monsters. As for teachers, no one in Equestria is more suited to teach then myself." Tyler said, the stallion taking in what Tyler had said, continuing to look at the back wall.
"What about those one's back there?" Tyler heard the voice of a filly say. He turned to look at a pink filly with a pampered mane and tail colored a light purple, having a white stripe going down both her mane and tail. She had a tiara on her head and strangely enough, a tiara as her Cutie Mark. The said filly was pointing at something behind Tyler. Tyler turned around to see four cards in an almost silvery gold color. They where the god cards, Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon, the Winged Dragon of Ra, and The Creator God of Light Horakhty. After Tyler had told Twilight about them, she had decided to make a copy of all of them just so Tyler could put them on display.
"Oh, funny you ask. Those cards are the Egyptian God Cards. Each one more powerful then the last. The strongest of them all being The Creator God of Light Horakhty. The card itself is a Tribute Fusion Card and when summoned, you instantly win the duel" Tyler said, remembering when Atem himself summoned the Horakhty.
"Well then, how much for those four then?" The stallion asked, only to be answered with a slight frown from Tyler.
"I am terribly sorry sir, but they are not for sale. They are the only ones in Equestria, except The Winged Dragon of Ra." Tyler said, getting a look from the filly and a bit of an annoyed one from the stallion.
"Well, where is the copy of this Ra you speak of" The stallion said in a bit of a rude tone, that was instantly followed from a glare from Tyler that caused him to take a step back.
"The last copy of Ra is in my personal deck. Now, the best I can give you currently is a personal lesson from myself and a Blue-Eye's or a Red-Eye's deck. Now if you excuse me, I have to get back to work." Tyler said, turning away from the stallion, looking back threw the cards with a bit of an annoyed look. This caused cause the stallion to look more mad then anything. But, before he could say anything, the filly next to him said something first.
"Then why not duel for them. You duel me and the deck I've made so far and the winner gets the cards. That is, unless if your too scared you'll lose to a filly. You are the best Duelist Teacher, is that not what you said?" The filly said, the last part really getting to Tyler. On any other occasion, he would have said no to this offer. But these two pony's, they disrespected his word, the rules of his store, and now they insulted his pride. Tyler was no longer in a peaceful mood, he was done.
"Alright kiddo, you think you can step up to make a bet like that, fine. You and me, outside, fifteen minutes" Tyler said in a rather angry tone. He grabbed his deck, putting his dueling disk on his arm. He didn't need to put a sign on his counterpace because most of the pony's heard what was about to happen and quickly got outside.
The filly grinned and the stallion grabbed her a small dueling disk that would fit her. Getting Tyler mad was just what she wanted to do. From what she gathered in the small amount of time, angry Duelists make terrible play's. She giggled to herself, casually walking outside.
However, once she got outside, it was somehow night. She looked around to find herself in an open field. Before she could start to panic, her thoughts where interrupted by a shadowy figure in front of her with glowing golden eye's and the same symbol Tyler has on its chest, the symbol glowing as well. "Welcome Diamond Tiara, its game time." The shadows dropped from the figure, revealing it to be Yami Tyler.
"If your wondering how I know your name, its simple really. You are in my plane of reality, and I offer you a challenge at a game." Yami Tyler said, getting a look from Diamond Tiara, apparently that was the name of the filly.
"What kind of game?" Diamond asked, getting a grin from Yami Tyler. Something about this "Plane of Reality" didn't feel to safe. But there was something else about it, like any pony could be themselves in the reality.
"A Yami Game. But I must warn you, if you brake the rules, there will be dire consequences." Yami Tyler said with a semi serious look, but a grin still on his face. The ground around them gave way, a small but sturdy tree growing on a piece of the ground every few feet. All of the ground gave way to nothingness but the bits that had trees on them and a path that connected to the farthest patch of ground, attached to the patch of ground Yami Tyler was on. on the patch of ground farthest away, there was a case that held the Egyptian God Cards from Tyler's shop.
"The rules are simple, get to the case before I do, Without magic, and the cards are yours to take. Try not to look down." Yami Tyler said, starting to walk slowly accost the long and twisting path. Diamond was shocked, but also understood. She nodded at Yami Tyler to confirm that she was playing.
Yami Tyler smiled and went slower, allowing Diamond some time to think on what to do. However, naturally she did look down, but it was a big mistake. Bellow her was fire, lots of golden fire. In the fire where creatures that where like Tyler, but they had horns and twisted faces with red skin. Some of them where chained to the floor with red liquid pouring off of there red skin. But upon a more proper look, the ones with chains had no skin. They looked like they where screaming, the red skinned creatures stabbing and clawing at them, but they wouldn't die.
There was a spot where a red skinned creature had no pony to mess with, but Diamond looked away before she could get a better look. But she already knew that spot was for her if she failed. She looked at the trees, and then the distance between each patch of ground. If she got to the top, she might have been able to jump to platform to platform. But it was too risky considering the risk if she fell.
She looked at Yami Tyler, who was about a quarter of the way down the path. There was no way she could make it before he did. When he won he was going to put her in those empty chains and she would suffer the same fate as those other creatures. She laid down when she started to think what her life was like up to this point and found out, she only made one friend in there entire life. Every pony else disliked her or even hated her, even the filly's and colts from her school.
Tears started to form in her eyes as she figured out that she had been nothing bit a big meanie from the start, she didn't want to be like this of course. It was her parents influence that made her like this, and she hated it. she covered her face with her front hooves, letting the tears fall from her face as she layed in the ground. However, because of this, she did not notice that Yami Tyler had stopped, looking at Diamond. Yami Tyler's grin turned into a nice smile as the tree she was next to bent down from some force, looking like it was leaning down to look at her.
"Are you alright little one?" A wise and old sounding voice spoke, causing Diamond to jump a bit, halting her tears for a few moments. She looked confused before the tree moved again, causing Diamond to jump onto her hooves. "Oh, I am terribly sorry for scaring you. You see, me and my brothers where the first trees to ever be planted on a suitable place for us to live and we go to random places to see what they are like. However, I couldn't help but notice that your in a bit of a tear here." The tree said, the other ones on the platforms swaying a bit at its words.
The tears in Diamonds eye's stopped flowing and now just built up in her eyes, thinking about what the tree said. "C-Can you and your brothers help me get to the case on the other side... P-Please..." Diamond said, her voice a bit harsh from sobbing quietly. The tree shook for a moment and moved down, using its branches to gently grab ahold of her before picking her up.
Of course Diamond was scared, but it was the only thing she had left to try. So, she braced herself for whatever the tree would do with her. The tree reeled back and tossed her into another tree, one that moved the same way as the first one and caught her gently. She was thrown tree to tree and once Yami Tyler saw this, he started walking at a normal pace, a smile on his face.
Soon, Diamond was on the platform with the case, Yami Tyler following behind her. She smiled and waved at the trees, that proceeded to move like they where waving back at her. Yami Tyler picked up the case, walking up to her. "Very well Diamond Tiara, you have won the game and you may take your prize." Yami Tyler said, holding out the case for her. Diamond smiled and pushed it away from her and back into his arms.
"I'm honored, but they belong to you, and if I learned anything from this. It doesn't help anyone to be mean like I was. And if I have friends, I'll always know that they have my back." Diamond said, Yami Tyler holding the case to his side, the symbol on his chest glowing. Not too far after, his eye's started glowing a gold color.
"The Gates of Darkness have been sealed and a new winner has emerged. In the Yami Game, ones true self is shown. Diamond Tiara, you have passed this test." Yami Tyler said, the area around them seeming to fade and change. Yami Tyler disappeared as he glowed brighter, causing Diamond to shut her eye's for a few moments. However, when she opened them, she was in front of Twilights library.
Some pony tapped her shoulder, causing her to look over it. Yami Tyler was behind her, holding out a card. "Here, you've earned this." Yami Tyler said, giving her the card. It was the Winged Dragon of Ra. Diamonds eye's widened and she was about to tell him she didn't want it, but Yami Tyler was already gone. The door to Twilight's library opened and Tyler walked out, Diamond turning to face him.
"Oh, hey, I have your Blue-Eye's structure deck ready, come pick it off the counter when you want it. Also, enjoy that card." Tyler said, winking at her for a quick moment before going back into the library, leaving the door open for other pony's. Diamond stared into the library for a few moments before she smiled, walking into the library.
The library was once again a happy place for all duelists. except for a certain creature named Discord, who just witnessed the Yami Game for himself. However, Discord wasn't jealous, oh no. He was currently pondering what he was going to do with this human. He was certainly interesting, how he has two sides to himself, The Yami Game, even how Yami Tyler used the Yami Game to his advantage to teach Diamond a lesson. This human was certainly intere- "Excuse me narrator, I am trying to think. Could you please end the chapter sooner so you can start working on the next chapter already?" Well I'd never. Fine, just a little bit longer Discord.
"Very well then." Discord said, rolling his eye's as he was eating a tree branch that he had turned into chocolate and the leafs into cotton candy. However, Discord was the least of Tyler's worries. As Tyler was enjoying his time creating the funds to host the Duelist tournament, a certain Centaur had just escaped the depths of Tartarus, currently making its way to Equestria, plotting a revenge that will surly change. Now that Tyler lives in Equestria.
