It was a peaceful day in Equestria, the birds where singing, thanks to Futtershy of course. What could have gone wrong? Well, you know, beside a sudden explosion at Canterlot and a quick message to the princesses student Twilight Sparkle that held a spell that the princess said would bring a hero to help them.

After casting the spell, Twilight was surprised to find that a creature like nothing she had even seen before came falling out of it, calling himself by the name of Tyler. He has some type of black box and something attached to his arm. He said that the box held his deck and the thing on his arm was something called a Duel Disk.

Can this new and strange warrior save Equestrian from the strange evil that had plagued it? Can this deck and Duel Disk be a weapon of some kind? Can Tyler truly save Equestria? And what are the "Heart of The Cards"?
