Chapter Two - Beginnings
It was a nice day in Equestria. Everypony was having an amazing day in the school yard. One colt, in particular, was having a talk with his friend.
"So, Cloudracer, what do you want to do before I have to leave?" said Timeflux, to his (rather pinkie-pie like) friend.
"I dunno Flux, wanna screw around?" I wasn't really feeling like screwing around today, but I could make an exception.
"Nah Cloud, I have a better idea."
About 20 minutes later, we found ourselves at the top of Marespoint hill with some wood with wheels on it.
"Flux, do you really think this is a good idea?"
"Well, it looks fun does it not?" Was all I could say. By this time, me and cloud were on our "platform racer" and ready to go.
"You ready cloud?" I asked.
"As ready as I'll ever be."
We pushed off and started descending the hill.
"So Flux, how do we stop once we get to the bottom?" Cloud asked.
"Uhm... That might be a bit of a problem..."
Well, it WAS quite the problem, considering it does NOT feel good to ram into a tree doing about 60 on a plank made of nothing but wood and nails. Unfortunately, the way we were seated meant that she had to sit in front of me, meaning she took almost the full force of the impact. Fortunately, however, we did not hit the tree straight on. We hit it at just enough of an angle to send her flying off into the tree and me into the ground at the most awkward angle. I slowly got up, noticing the pile of wood and nails a few meters from the tree, and a white and gray mare lying on the ground next to a tree, her one leg in a position it DEFINTELY was not meant to be in, and blood running out of a few places, including her nose.
"Oh buck! Cloud!" I yelled, rushing over to her. She appeared to have been knocked unconscious from the tumble we had just taken, so I quickly galloped over to the spot we had left our bags and grabbed a bottle of water. I quickly opened the bottle and poured it on her face, attempting to wake her up.
"Woaa owww.... What the buck... I feel like I've been hit by a train or something..." she said, attempting to get up.
"OH BUCK THAT HURTS!"
We quickly discovered that when a leg is in a position it is not supposed to be in that it is most likely broken.
"Cloud, you should put bandages on those cuts, I think I might have some for you in my bag." I said, walking over to my bag, pulling out some band-aids. I walked back over and I started to bandage her up, but she is a tough mare. She refused to let me put more than 4 band-aids on her because she didn't want to look like she got "beat up" by somepony.
"Hey Flux, do you know what we're gonna do about my leg?" she asked.
"Well, if you can let me move it back into a more natural position instead of behind you, I can put it into a splint using a price of wood from the racer."
After 10 minutes and lots of cussing and screaming, I finally managed to get her leg back to a normal position, although it still looked VERY bucked up.
"We should probably get you to a hospital so they can look at that leg." I said.
" But I don't wanna, Flux!"
"Well Cloud, that wasn't a suggestion. That was an order. I'll drag you there if I have to." I said, gathering our bags with my magic.
We arrived at the hospital about 30 minutes later, considering I had to carry her on my back the whole way. We walked inside and up to the desk.
"Hello, how may I help you?" asked the mare behind the desk.
"I think my friend broke her leg, we were screwing around and she hit a tree pretty hard." I explained.
"I'll page the doctor, please take a seat."
After about 3 minutes, the doctor walked out and walked us to one of the gurneys.
" Can you sit down here please, miss." He said, gesturing to the gurney.
"Im going to cast a spell to see if there is any breakage which I will be able to fix, so please sit still." He said, his horn lighting up.
"Ah yes, the damage looks pretty bad, but I should be able to fix it. Please lie on your stomach and stretch out." He directed.
"Ok, first, I'm going to give you some medication to make you sleep so I can do the operation." He said, handing her a cup and a capsule. 5 minutes later she was asleep, and he started with his spell, her bones cracking back into place and mending.
"All done, now I'm going to need to put this in a cast before she wakes up, do you think you can help me do that? I just need you to roll her over and elevate her leg." He said, grabbing some cast with his magic. I rolled her sleeping form over with my magic and then elevated her leg just as he had told me. He then began wrapping her whole leg from hoof to flank with the cast.
"All done!" He said.
"You're free to leave once she wakes up." He told me, and with that he left the room. Cloud woke up about 2 minutes later, and we left after that to go get some ice cream.
"What flavor do you want Cloud?" I asked her.
"Chocolate and vanilla please!"
We both sat down at our fort behind my house, enjoying our ice cream. We had a little competition to see who could eat their ice cream first, and of course, she won.
"I just don't know how you do it Cloud, it's like you're an ice cream eating machine!" I joked.
"At least I can stop myself from dripping ice cream on myself!" She giggled, pointing a hoof at my chest and muzzle. How I even managed to get ice cream on my chest is beyond me.
"You do look cute when you manage to get ice cream on yourself, though." she said, her cheeks becoming fiery red. "Could say the same thing about you, Cloud." I said.
"But I don't have any ice cream on me!" She said, gesturing to herself.
"Oh you don't, now do you?" I said, dripping some ice cream on her muzzle.
"Hay! No fair!" She said, Trying to lick the ice cream off.
"I can't get it! I should totally make you wipe it off my muzzle, though, now that I can't enjoy it."
"How do you want me to do that Cloud, lick it off?" I joked.
"I know you want so badly to lick it off Flux, so go ahead." she said.
"Wow, really Cloud, would that be like, kissing you?" I asked.
"Honestly Flux, if you wanted to kiss me, you could just ask, considering I really like you." she replied.
"Well Cloud, I like you too, so why not, would you kiss me, say, right now?" I asked.
"Well, considering that there is nobody around, I will." She said, throwing her hooves around me and kissing me, then pulling away and blushing.
"That wasn't at all expected," I said, "But would you be my marefriend?" I questioned.
"Of course I would, Flux, of course I would." she said, wrapping her hooves around me and kissing me again.
Chapter Four - Failure
It's been a while since the school incident, and summer has officially started. Cloudracer and I are still the best of friends, and everything is pretty good, although I might have be a little less sane now. I can't help but feel that life is nothing but a simulation of some kind. I can't explain it, but I occasionally feel that it's not real. I've seen weird things too, like white objects. For example, I'll see a flower pot. It will be white, but when I turn to look at it, it goes back to being brown. I'm not sure if this is my sanity playing tricks on me, or something else.
Later...
"Flux where are you? You're supposed to clean your room!" shouted my mom.
"If it bothers you so much, why don't you do it?" I yelled back.
"Oh, so I guess someone doesn't want their allowance this week. More bits for me!" Said my mom, trying to be sarcastic.
"Fine, you win, I'll clean it."
Ugh. I really didn't want to clean my room, even though it would require almost no effort, but I really did need bits. I was planning on getting Cloud something nice for her birthday. There goes another white object. My bed this time. At first the white objects just creeped me out, now I'm quite used to them. I think they might be increasing in numbers too, I've seen lots more than I did at first. They are almost everywhere I look, and some ponies are even starting to go white randomly. They will just go to a white pony standing, no matter what position they were in before.
A week later...
"Cloud, you there?" I said, in a very raspy voice.
"Yeah I'm here, come to say happy birthday to me?" she said, trotting towards me.
"Yes and no. I came here for two things. One, happy birthday, and two, this." I said, taking the elegantly wrapped package off of my back and giving it to her.
"Open it cloud, I had it made for you, and I even put a little something on it to make it yours." I said. She ripped open the packaging and pulled out some goggles. They had white and grey flames going around the reflective lenses and a white head band to match her mane. Her face lit like a lightbulb when she saw them.
"Ohmygosh! Thanks Flux! I needed a new pair of flight goggles!" she said, giving me a hug.
"Cloud, I think you missed the best part. When I said I had something put on it to make it yours, I meant it. Take a look at the headband closer." I said. She took a peek at the headband again, noticing something written in black thread, spelling out Cloudracer.
"Thanks Flux, now I don't have to worry about anybody swiping my goggles any more!" she said, giving me another hug.
Things got really weird after that moment. For about five or so seconds, the entire world went white, like those objects I see often. All the sounds of the world stopped. I was the only thing I could see that wasn't white. Then, the world returned, disorienting and nearly blinding me for a second. I looked around, trying to clear my vision, when I saw a few white ponies in places they probably should not be, such as halfway in the ground or a building, objects in locations they shouldn't be, like an apple cart suspended in the sky, and a house almost in the ground. The entire world looked like discord had come back. Some of the white ponies were moving, but they didn't move their legs. They just sort of floated. I got the feeling that none of this was real. Suddenly, I found myself standing in the most awkward position, inside a tube dimly lit by a little screen of sorts. The screen had some text on it which I could bart make out. From what I could tell, the screen said:
"ERROR 203: SIMULATION ERROR. RESTARTING SIMULATION FROM LATEST SAVE POINT: 19:40_15.5.3076.SAV.
RELOADING TEXTURES FROM MAIN...
RELOADING OBJECTS...
PLACING OBJECTS...

INJECTING USER INTO SIMULATION AT POS (201,786,471)..."
I was suddenly back in front of Cloudracer's house, just after I had told her about the writing on the band. She gave me a hug again.
"Cloud, you wanna try those out?" I asked.
"Sure, but how are you going to see me?" she said.
"You see those clouds over there? Let me cast a cloudwalking spell and take me to them." I said, my horn lighting up as I cast a spell.
"Okay!" she said, grabbing me and lifting me up to the clouds I was pointing at.
"Show me some tricks, Cloud!" I said. She nodded and did some loops and spins.
"Wow Flux, these are great! They are the best thing I've ever gotten! Thanks Flux!" she said.
"Only the best for birth...." I started. I didn't get to finish my sentence as I was suddenly back in the pod. The screen had a different message this time.
"ERROR 200: SYSTEMS FAILURE.

Chapter Five - Memories
"Wow Flux, these are great! They are the best thing I've ever gotten! Thanks Flux!" I heard her say again.
"Only the best for the birthday pony!" I said. She carried me back down to the ground, and we started walking. I couldn't take my mind off of the screens I saw and the messages on them. Errors. What if this was a simulation? What if I could do something to get out of it? We arrived at my house, said our goodbyes, and went separate ways. We were going to meet up at her party later. I went to my room and laid down on my bed. I tried to focus on the screen I saw earlier. I focused so the only thing I could see was the screen. Then I felt the pulling. I was back in the pod again. This time, there wasn't an error message. I was greeted by a menu of sorts. The screen read
"Welcome to SYSTEM DELTA control interface.
User FLUXUATION has been in suspension for FIFTEEN years.
Please tap an option."
I was given a few choices: Info, Log, Maintenance and Exit. I chose Info. The screen changed to say
"USER: FLUXUATION.
AGE:15.
TIME IN SIMULATION:15y 6m 9d.
BITS:39."
The screen then gave me the option "Back". I tapped it with my hoof, and it brought me back to the menu. This time I tapped Maintenance. The screen changed and said:
"Error. User FLUXUATION is not a maintenance technician."
It gave me the option "Back" again, so I pressed it. This time, I chose log. I was presented with a new screen:
"Please select a system log to read:
LOG85.log
LOG87.log
IMPORTANT.log"
I chose IMPORTANT.log. The screen changed again to read:
"If you are reading this, consider yourself lucky. As you might know, from seeing this pod, the world that you are used to is a simulation. Everybody is real, they are in pods just like you. One thing that was not mentioned to anypony was the fact that everything can be changed. When you get back into the simulation, take a spoon. Imagine this spoon was a fork. Force every cell in your brain to believe this spoon is a fork. Look at the spoon again. I can't write much more, the maintenance bots are coming, I can't let them see that somepony made it out of the simulation. I've locked down everypony's pods so they can't accidentally get out, but don't worry, you won't starve, the simulator keeps you fed. Goodbye, brave soul, and check in here every so often. I might drop some more messages in the log files."
I was given the option back again, so I pressed it. I sat at the menu, digesting the information I had just learned. Everypony I knew was in a pod like me. They were completely oblivious to the real world. I couldn't tell them though, they would label me crazy and probably lock me up.
I hit exit, and was thrown back to my room.
I galloped downstairs and grabbed a spoon with my magic. I set it down on the table and started to think. The only thing I thought of was a fork. I blinked once and looked at the spoon. It wasn't a spoon anymore. It was a fork. I was stunned. If I believed hard enough that something would happen, it would.
I bolted as fast as I could out the door. I ran into Cloudracer not too far down the street. I told her that she needed to come and see something, and we went to my house again.
"Cloud, what I'm about to tell you may sound crazy, but I assure you, it's completely real. I want you to sit back and focus on the word "Menu" with all your might. If you do it right you'll be in a sort of pod with a glowing screen in it. You'll have some options, hit Info and memorize what it says. Then hit back and exit to come back here." I instructed.
"Okay Flux, whatever you say." she said, clearing her mind and beginning to focus. About twenty seconds in, she disappeared. Twenty or so seconds later, she reappeared.
" It said user racer, age 15, time in simulation 15 y 6 m 9 d and the amount of bits I have on me, 30." she stated, a little stunned by what she just saw.
"Ok, Cloud, good. I got a message that said everything can be changed. I want you to imagine this fork is a spoon with all your mind." I said, getting right to the point.
"Okay, but what does this mean? The pod thing?" she said.
"This isn't real. It's a simulation. Our real bodies are in those pods. Our consciousness is in this simulation. I have a "friend" on the outside of the pods that will help us." I explained.
"Does this friend have a name?" she questioned.
"I don't know, I'll go check my messages from him." I said disappearing into the pod. I quickly tapped Logs. Sure enough, I had a new log. It was named 'SECOND'. I tapped it and the screen changed and said:
"I see you got your friend to see the truth. We need everypony to do it though, before I can unlock the pods. Everypony must see the truth at least once. Another fact about the simulation: the life you live in the sim is your actual life that you lived before you were put under. I'm adding messaging capabilities to your account, so send me a message if you need something. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you my name! My name is "CORRUPT".
Rejected Memories Chapter Six - Disaster
I got out of my terminal and went back into the simulation. Cloudracer was waiting for me, sitting in the same position she had been in when I had gone to my terminal, and almost jumped when I started speaking.
"Corrupt." I said.
"What?"
"His name, if it is a he, is corrupt." I told her, not really interested in speaking.
"Well, can we do anything to get out of the simulation into the real world?" she asked.
"The pods are locked down, we can't get out of them if we tried. Corrupt would have to release them from his side, but if I can get him to let everybody out, we will just have to get everybody into the menu." I told her, trying to explain it without making it too complicated.
"Well, do you want to go for a walk and think about how we're going to do that?" she asked, trotting over to the door.
"Sure, why not?"
Outside...
We were walking around, admiring the many "sights" in ponyville, when we spotted Lyra and Bon Bon sitting on a park bench. As Cloud and I walked past them, they disappeared. About twenty other ponies disappeared from the park at almost the same time.
"Something is going on. It doesn't feel right. I'll go to the menu and check with corrupt." I said, the menu appearing in front of me. I noticed loud banging and crashing of metal I could hear. I tapped "messaging", and then I tapped "CORRUPT". A keyboard appeared, allowing me to type.
"what going on? respond quick - TF"
I tapped send, and a message informing me that the message was successfully sent appeared. A chime sounded around thirty seconds later. A new icon appeared, with a letter. I tapped it and was greeted with a message.
"Massive structure failure. More than 35 ponies dead. System damaged. Might have to speed that ejection up, make sure you and your marefriend are ready. Contact me when you want to be ejected. - C"
I tapped back and then went back to the simulation.
"Oh god." was all I could say.
"What?! Don't hold info if something is wrong, Time!"
"Thirty five. Thirty five ponies dead. We're leaving the simulation with anybody we can get in the next day. Get everypony you can. We're leaving the pods." I told her, not looking up.
"Go! Get as many ponies as you can in a day! We are going to need all of them!" and with that, she ran off. I ran to my house and I told my family. Of course, they didn't believe me, but I just had to tell everybody.
That night...
I laid on my bed, thinking about the next day. I had to make sure over fifty ponies didn't make too much chaos. That would be fun. I fell asleep, clutching my old doll from when I was just a foal.
The next day...
I met with Cloud in the park. She gave me the approval and I told Corrupt that we were ready. Not more than ten seconds later, I was in my pod. The screen displayed a message.
"Simulation for user FLUXUATION terminated. Ejecting pod..."
And with that, the lid of the pod made a satisfying "pshhhhh" sound, and lifted slowly. It opened to display a pod directly across from me, with what appeared to be a name tag on it. The tag read "Power Fluxuation". My father. I looked to my left and saw what looked like a terminal. I walked over to it, and it displayed me with a rather dusty login screen. I typed in "FLUXUATION" as my username and "password" as my password. It surprisingly worked. I was shown the screen I saw in the pod, so I tapped "Messaging" with my hoof. I wrote off a quick message to Corrupt.
"I'm out. Mind ejecting everypony else with Fluxuation in their name? - TF"
I waited. Almost as if on cue, my parents' pods made a sound like decompressing and opened. They stepped out.
"What the hay?" my father said, rubbing his head with his hoof.
"You're out of the simulation. Welcome to the real world. Let me see where we should be going. While I do that, get everypony else back here." I instructed, trotting over to the terminal again and sending another message.
"Where go? -TF"
I got a fast response.
"Follow the floor. I'll light the path. Hurry. Not much time. - C"
"EVERYPONY! FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF THE FLOOR! GO!" I yelled, following the line on the floor. After about five minutes of walking, I found Cloudracer. We ran together to the end of the line, where a door slid open, revealing a pony at a terminal.
"Oh good! You are finally here! We have to leave. This whole place is going to come down in less than a day. I'll activate the lights leading to the exit so that we don't have to direct them out. My real name is Undefined Variable, by the way. But please, just call me Varrie." the mare said, standing up. She had a green coat and a green and black mane.
"Do you two want to see the outside while we wait for everypony? Be warned though, it's not what it was in the simulation..." she warned. We walked to her, and then outside.
We were on a cliff above Canterlot. The town was almost destroyed, falling off of the mountain. Ponyville was nothing but a crater. There were craters everywhere.
"By the way, Celestia is dead." Varrie said.
"One was made for the simulation, but the real one has been dead for ten years. Only Luna remains, and she should be up momentarily."
Chapter Seven - Decryption
Rejected Memories Chapter Seven - Decryption
"Come on guys, have a seat while you wait." said Varrie
"You're probably all thirsty, aren't you?"
A chorus of "Yes!" sounded across the room.
"We only have water, but atleast it's better than nothing." she said, walking over to a strange device on the wall. She presses two buttons and smacked the machine twice, which produced two cups of water.
"Here you go!" she said, giving us the cups. The second before I could take a drink, Princess Luna trotted into the room.
"Hello Time, Cloud. Where is everypony else?"
"I turned the lights to the exit on so we didn't have to direct everypony. They should get there in about three minutes." Varrie said.
"Very well! We shall go now. Varrie, I take it you know the way, so gather what you need and meet us there. Time, Cloud, follow me." Luna said, trotting off.
Cloud and I followed close behind, not wanting to get lost. We finally came to what appeared to be our destination, a large dome. After about two minutes, Varrie appeared, with everypony else in tow. She ran up to the door, and pressed a button on the wall next to it, under what appeared to be a speaker.
"Please give authorization." it said, speaking in a robotic voice.
"Authorize nine-six-nine-one-two-five-zero-five, decrypt key Trot-Intent-Maze-Echo." Varrie said to the device.
"Authorized. Have a nice day!" said the machine. The door made a big "clank" and a loud "fshhhh" sound, then Varrie pushed it open. It revealed what appeared to be a portal of sorts. Luna spoke up quickly, giving us directions.
"Time, Varrie, go through the portal. Get everything set up. Me and Cloud will get everypony through."
Varrie nodded and grabbed me by the hoof, dragging me through the portal. We came out in a room that was lit dimly by a faint red light. Varrie lead me over to a rack with what appeared to be some kind of suit on them. She grabbed one and stuffed it into my hooves.
"Put that on. I'll show you how to put the helmet on.
I slid the suit on and it fit loosely, draping off of me.
"Ok, take the helmet, and put it on, then twist it to the right, push down, and twist it to the left. It should activate. It'll tell you how to activate the rest of the suit."
I did as I was told, and sure enough, the helmet activated. The helmet started speaking.
"Checking HUD... HUD Online. For help say help."
In front of me appeared several bars. I had no clue what they did, so I said help.
"Welcome to the Dangerous Area MAnagement GEar, otherwise known as the DAMAGE suit. This suit is guaranteed to protect you against all environmental toxins. On your HUD, you should see flashlight battery level in the top left, Assisted Movement battery level in top right, your heart rate and the DAMAGE suits current condition in the bottom left, and an ammunition counter in the bottom right. Your communications channel is in the bottom center of your HUD. This concludes first part of help."
I could hear something muffled. I looked up to see Varrie with her suit on yelling at me to "Say help three!", so I did.
"Welcome to the DAMAGE suit help page three. To pressurize your suit, say "Suit Pressurize." To tighten the suit to your body, say "Suit Tighten." If you ever have an emergency with your suit, there is an emergency release button under your chin. Pressing it will release the suit and make it drop off. If you need to get the suit pressurized and operational fast, activate your helmet and say "Suit Emergency." The suit will pressurize and tighten, as well as check respirator function and activate communications."
I did the things I had to do and my suit was now ready. I heard Varrie yelling at me again.
"Suit Comm three!"
After I switched to channel three, I could hear Varrie perfectly.
"Why do we need these suits?" I asked.
"This facility was decommissioned. It was an extra facility that was built. It was dormant. That means there is no oxygen in the facility because the life support systems were never activated. These suits let us breathe and walk through any hazardous waste we might find. Oh and, by the way, if you hear something like a geiger counter, tell me and run. This place has a nuclear reactor, and it hasn't been used in forever, so there might be some radioactive material left around from the fuel."
With that, we set off.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"We are going to the administration building so we can bring main systems online." she said.
After a short walk, we made it to the administration room. We walked inside and started powering up the devices.
"Time, look for something that says purge on it, and tell me when you find it."
I found the lever after a few minutes, and called Varrie over.
"Time, when I pull this lever, me and you are going to run to the pods that open behind that wall. On the count of three."
One...
Two...
THREE!
She pulled the lever and we ran towards the pods that appeared out of the wall.
"Jump in and pull it shut!" she yelled, nearly blowing my hearing.
After pulling my pod shut, I heard a voice in my suit.
"Purging facility. Please wait."
Our pods popped open.
"Facility Purged. Have a nice day!"
Varrie looked a window that had been sealed.
"Time, go over there, and turn that system on. It'll power up and start maintaining the reactor. I gotta work on getting life support up and running."
I went over to the reactor controls and powered them on.
"Auugh.. Stupid machine... Why won't you let me login..." Varrie said, obviously annoyed. I walked over and sat down next to her.
"Mind if I try?" I asked Varrie.
"Knock yourself out, Time. I doubt you'll be able to get it."
I sat down in front of the screen. I felt something, and then I began to type.

I stood up and looked at Varrie. She had a look of total shock on her face. I waved my hoof in front of her face.
"Varrie. Life support. Enable. Now." I said, pointing to the computer.
"Did you just... How did you... Wha?" she stuttered, trying to make sense of what I did.
Suddenly, she snapped back to reality and got back to the computer.
"And that should do it, we should be able to decompress our suits soon. We should get set up here though, we have to register everybody and get them a room."
I nodded and started getting things ready.
"It's going to be one long day... One long day..."
Rejected Memories Chapter Eight - Error
It was a long day indeed. We had to scan everyponies eyes and add them to a system so they could be assigned a room. Once we were finished with everypony else, Varrie, Luna, Cloud, and me scanned ourselves in. We got to atleast choose our rooms, so we took the largest room that was unoccupied.
"These places were furnished, and the room that we all took had three bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room." Varrie said.
I gave a nod as we approached our room, and Varrie handed us all cards.
"These are your citizen cards. You can use them for like everything, and it's your card for our room. Don't lose them, cause I might get lazy and "accidentally" forget to make you another"
We entered our room and set upon the task of deciding who gets what room. Luna took the one with the darkening lights, Cloud and I took the one with a computer in it, and Varrie took the other with a computer in it.
Just after we finished setting up, Varrie appeared.
"Time, I already told Luna this, but you know that computer that you bypassed? You bypassed it in literally five seconds. That's the fastest time I've ever seen, other than something I heard from a legend about a pony called the "Creator". The legend goes that the creator made several devices, and was able to code things into existence. One of his devices was a glove. His glove was placed in a facility but the facility was never opened. This facility. Both me and Luna suspect you might be the creator."
"I might be the creator?!" I said, looking shocked as I could ever be.
"Yes, you could. But to prove it, you need to find the glove. By legend, the glove is in the archives, slot 2891. I can take you there."
"Well then, let's go Varrie!" I said
"I'm coming too!" said Cloud.
"I'll go get her a DAMAGE suit..."
After we had trained Cloud in how to use the DAMAGE suit, we set out for the archive. Once we arrived, Varrie brought us right to case 2891. We opened it, and sitting inside was a glove. I disengaged my helmet and pulled off my suit.
"Time. Before you put the glove on, I have to tell you something. When you put it on, if you're the creator, it will "merge" with your hoof." said Varrie.
I walked over and looked at the glove. It had a screen and a keyboard on it. I picked it up and pulled it on so I could type on the keyboard and see the screen. Nothing happened. I fiddled around with it, looking for a power button. A few seconds later, I found it. I pushed the power button, and it attached to my leg. I instantly collapsed. I woke up in my DAMAGE suit five minutes later, with the glove still attached.
"You kinda passed out back there, so we put you in your suit and dragged you back here." said Varrie.
"Oh, and by the way, take your suit off and look at your leg."
I carefully took my suit off. I slowly peeked at my leg, and I almost passed out again from what I saw. The glove. It was attached to my leg.
"So Time, since you're the creator, can you, you know, create things?" asked Varrie.
"I'm not sure, let me check."
I lifted my hoof and prodded the device. The screen turned on and gave me a menu with a few options on it. I had "Props", "Ponies", "Food", "Devices", "Custom", and "Help". I used the controls to scroll to "Help" and select it.
Welcome, Creator! In the Props menu, you can create objects that aren't electronics or food. In the Ponies menu, you can create any pony that has ever lived. If you create a pony they will have their memories and will act like the real pony. The food menu is self explaining, you can spawn food with it. Devices menu allows you to spawn electronic devices like computers, and the Custom menu allows you to code your own objects into existence.
I hit the back key and went to props. I saw something that caught my eye. It was the name of my doll from when I was a kid. I had named it "Master" when I was four years old, and I lost it when I was five. I almost cried when I saw I could spawn him.
"Guys, don't complain about this, but the first thing I'm creating is my doll from when I was four, Master." I said, selecting it from the menu and pointing my hoof at the ground in front of me. What appeared to be my doll appeared, covered in green text. A few seconds later, the text disappeared, leaving only Master. I ran over and picked the doll up and hugged it.
"Being the creator is amazing!" I said, not wanting to let go of Master.
"Let's go back to the room so we can show Luna." Varrie said.
And off we went. We made it back to the room and called Luna to the living room.
"What guys, what do you want?" Luna said, emerging from her dark room.
"You know how you said I might be the creator?" I said, raising my hoof.
"Well, I am."
"So, let me get this straight, Time, you're the creator?" asked Luna.
"Yep, watch this." I said, creating a Luna and Celestia doll.
"Oh... My... Gosh... Celly and I had made dolls of each other. I made a Celestia doll and she made a Luna doll. We slept with them for years. When Celly died, we buried her with her Luna doll. But I lost my Celly doll..." Luna said, starting to sniffle. Suddenly, Luna threw her hooves around me and started crying. She cried for almost a minute before talking again.
"Mind if I keep the doll?"
I handed her the doll, and she ran off to her room.
"Good thing I didn't tell her I could make another Celestia..." I said, trying to be quiet.
"You can what?!" Cloud and Varrie said in unison.
"Yes, I can create ponies. I can create Celestia."
"Then do it!" said Varrie.
"I'm asking Luna first." I announced.
I walked up to Luna's door and knocked, then entered. The room was almost pitch black.
"Luna, I need to tell you something. I can create Celestia."
"You can what?!" she said, staring me in the eye.
"As the creator, I can create ponies. That includes Celestia. Do you mind if I do this?" I asked
"Do it. Please, Time, Do it." she said.
I walked out of the room and right to Varrie.
"Varrie, where's the biggest open room that I can go to without a DAMAGE suit?"
"That would be the auditorium." Varrie said.
"Can you get everybody out of there?"
"Will do, Creator."
A few minutes later, I left for the auditorium with Varrie. It was completely empty. Perfect. I walked to the center and activated my Creator. I selected Ponies, and then Celestia. I pressed Create, and pointed my hoof at the ground a few feet away.
Twenty minutes later, I had finished. Celestia stood a few feet from me, looking confused.
"Hello Celestia. I am the Creator."
"Hello Creator. You have my respect, good pony."
"I have to update you on a few things. You have been dead for ten years. Ponyville has been destroyed. The castle is destroyed. All the ponies that are left are in the facility with us."
"I see. Is Luna here?"
"Actually, yes. She is the one who suggested I create you."
"Are there any ponies here named Twilight Sparkle?"
I looked at Varrie.
"Varrie, any ponies by that name?"
He shook his head no.
"I guess I could create her..."
I activated my device and was surprised by a message.
DEVICE COOLDOWN 12h 3m 10s
"Sorry Celestia, you're going to have to wait. My device needs to cool down from creating you. In the meantime, would you like to see Luna?"
"Yes! Could I please?" Celestia said, filled with joy.
And off we went. We arrived back in the room a few moments later.
"Lulu come here!" Celestia called
"Ohmigosh! Celly is that you?" Luna cried, flying out of her room like a rocket right into Celestia. They shared a hug for a few moments before separating.
"We should inform everypony of this. I'll rally everypony in the auditorium." I said, heading off to grab my suit.
A while later, we had everypony ready for the announcement.
"Everyone, I have great news. Celestia is back."
Celestia walked out on stage, various oohs and ahhs were heard throughout the crowd.
"How are you here? Celestia died ten years ago!" one pony yelled
"I am the real Celestia, but have you ever heard of the Creator? The creator, well, creates things. The creator is my faithful friend, Time Fluxuation. He can basically make anything."
I ran up and addressed everypony.
"I can demonstrate for you."
I selected computer from the Creator, and aimed at the ground. A computer appeared almost instantly. I picked it up and touched my glove to it and it disappeared. My glove displayed a new message on the screen. Added to storage.
"Never knew I could do that..." I whispered.
We walked off the stage and back to our room. I walked over to my bed, fell on it, and immediately went to sleep.
Chapter Nine - Malfunction
Rejected Memories Chapter Nine - Malfunction
I woke up and realized something was wrong. The lights were off and I couldn't turn them on. I ran for my DAMAGE suit. After slipping it on, I issued a command.
"Suit Report."
Facility reactor malfunction.
Reactor meltdown in two hours.
Manual intervention required.
DAMAGE Radiation Suit required.
I pulled up my Creator and looked for the DAMAGE suit, which wasn't that hard to find. After changing suits, I issued another command.
"Suit Locate Varrie."
Varrie is at REACTOR CONTROL
I ran for the reactor control room. I found Varrie standing at the console trying to shut the reactor down.
"Varrie what are you doing here? This entire room is flooded in radiation! Get out of here!" I called over the radio. She didn't respond. I ran in and grabbed her and dragged her out, setting her against the wall.
"Time, the reactor controls don't work, I couldn't insert the control rods. If you have that radiation suit, you should be able to insert the rods manually."
"Where is the hatch to access the reactor?"
"It's hidden in the wall. The code is oh-eight-five-one. Varrie said.
"I'll be back to get you some anti rad once I stop the reactor." I said, running into the room. I took two steps inside and my geiger counter went crazy.
"Suit disable geiger counter!"
Geiger counter Disabled
The sound ceased. I turned back towards the door and found the button to seal it and pressed it. I turned back around and ran to the wall where the access was. I typed the code in and the door opened, allowing access the reactor. I could feel the radiation taking effect. Even this suit couldn't protect me from this level of radiation. I ran for the control rods.
I had no clue what to do. Here I was, standing on a nuclear reactor, absorbing way too much radiation, trying to insert control rods. Think... Think... There has got to be a manual release around here somewhere... Aha! I ran over to the lever and I pulled it, and watched as the control rods shot into the reactor. I stumbled into the access hallway and then back into the control room. I hit the button that opens the door and stumbled out.
"Did you do it, Time?" she asked.
"Can't talk right now, contaminated, need to find decontamination."
"Suit connect facility PA"
Connected.
"Everyone, we're having a radiation problem right now, please go back to your rooms." I said, my voice resonating throughout the facility.
"Suit disconnect"
Disconnected.
"Suit locate decontamination"
Located. Proceed to first room on right.
I ran in the room and found the decontamination chamber, and hopped in. After a rigorous scrubbing my suit was still radioactive, but I wasn't as much.
"I wonder if the Creator has anti radiation drugs..."
After a few moments of scrolling I found some radiation removal injectors and created three of them. I injected myself with one, and ran off with the other two to go help Varrie.
When I got back to Varrie, she managed to get her helmet off, so I reached up and injected her in the neck with the rad removal. She gasped and got up.
"Wow... I don't feel like I've been exposed to a lot of radiation anymore. Thanks Time."
"No problem, but do you know where I can get another helmet, mine's kinda irradiated at the moment." I asked.
"Can't you just spawn one?"
"Oh yeah, totally forgot about that..."
"You know we're going to have to seal that reactor right Varrie?" I said.
"Yes, but there are like three reactors in this place. We can just use another one."
"I'm just tired now, let's go back to our rooms."
We walked off, back to our room. Celestia was waiting there for us.
"Can you create me some cake?" Celestia asked.
"What kind?"
"Chocolate with chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles with chocolate sauce!"
"Celestia, I take it you like chocolate. One mega chocolate cake comin' up!"
Celestia squee'd and pulled a fork and knife out of nowhere and began eating.
"Thish ish delishish cake!" Celestia said, through mouthfuls of cake.
"I'm going to bed now. If you need me, please, don't need me." I said, and promptly passed out on the floor.
I awoke several hours later, only to find that it was dark again.
"Please, life. I just want to sleep..." I mumbled.
I felt something lying on my face shift. I reached up and attempted to push it off, but I couldn't move it. I kept wiggling and eventually popped out from under the object that had been covering me. What I saw was Celestia and Luna passed out on the floor, still fast asleep, Varrie and Cloud next to them, also asleep, and the spot where I had just emerged from, under Celestia. It appeared that everypony had the same idea I did, and felt the floor, or me, would make a nice comfy bed. As I stood and watched, Luna started to stir.
"Bleh, I'm definitely not a morning person..." mumbled Luna, suppressing a yawn. She looked up and saw me.
"Oh, Time. We didn't realize you were up. Good morning. We hope you enjoyed your dreams."
I nodded and walked to the kitchen, pulling out a few slices of whole-hay bread and throwing them into a toaster.
"Luna, what does Celestia eat for breakfast?" I asked quietly.
"She usually has some whole-hay toast with jam."
I turned around and threw two more slices of bread into the toaster with my magic, and started making some jam with the Creator. By the time the toast jumped out of the toaster I had finished creating the jam, so I quickly made some bread with jam for Celestia and grabbed my plain bread, heading for the table.
By the time everypony got up, it was early afternoon. I decided today would be a good start to figuring out things with my Creator, and set to work on it. After tinkering with the device, a new menu came up, named Remover. Curious as I was, I tapped it, and was then instructed to touch something. I touched the pillow next to me, and it disappeared. My Creator began beeping, and the screen changed to show me that an object was deleted.
"So I can not only create things, but I can remove them also?" I thought aloud.
I went to our living room to inform everybody of the new discovery, only to notice that the living room was, for a lack of a better word, not the living room. It was basically like I had walked into a hellish forest.
"Okay... I'm going to go back to Equestria now..." I said to myself, turning around to go back through the door, only to notice there was no door, only a forest.
"Well crap, looks like I'm not going back that way..."
I began walking, looking for any type of clearing, when the Creator began buzzing. Looking at my hoof, the screen had become completely red with what appeared to be a warning flashing on it.
WARNING! REALITY DISTORTION DETECTED. PLEASE EVACUATE THE AREA.
"Well, that's definitely not good..." I said, racing away, the buzzing getting quieter, and sudden thought of a pink pony with a poofy mane popping into my head, only to be dismissed moments later. The Creator suddenly began buzzing, and displayed a new warning.
WARNING! DISTORTION CREATURE DETECTED. DEVICE LOCKED DOWN.
I looked up, only to come face to face with what has to be the most hideous creature I had ever seen. It was what appeared to be a blob of some kind, with long rope-like tentacles coming off of it, with some very, very sharp object at the end, that appeared very unhappy to see me.
"For Celestia's sake..."
Chapter Three - School
Cloudracer has kept me alive. One day, I was outside doing basically nothing and I heard some ponies joking about me. They criticized my glasses and my voice. I told Ms. Cheerilee and she gave them detentions. They spread rumors. They got another detention. They beat the living hell out of me. Another detention. They destroyed everything I had. No detentions. The teacher gave up. The ponies got suspended. Still didn't stop. They had basically convinced everypony I was the biggest jerk ever. Cloudracer tried to tell them otherwise. They didn't listen.
One day, they attacked me with knives. Sliced a chunk out of one of my legs and part of my sanity. I hadn't attacked them before this. I couldn't physically do it for some reason. The next day, they attack Cloud. They crossed a line. My parents marched down to the school with about 20 royal guards and had them basically watch me. The ponies switched from me and Cloud to me Cloud and the 20 royal guards. 16 of the 20 guards commuted suicide. Me and Cloudracer? Nope. I did try once, though Cloud saved me from the rope.
Me and her basically were facing an army of 6000. Two to 6000 isn't very good odds. We lost. My parents couldn't do anything about it any more. The ponies nearly killed Cloud again. Sliced her one wing up really good. Carved "bitch" and "faggot" into her chest and flank. The ponies tried to make us leave but we couldn't. My family didn't have the bits. We tried to escape the torment, but I figured out a way to do it. I locked myself inside. Never went out. Never had any friends except for Cloudracer. Didn't see a use for them, really.
Over the 4 years of this, I learned to control emotions around people. I learned to not speak around people. I met a mare one day, yellow with a pink mane. She was trying to carry a couple bags of carrots but was struggling. I offered to help her and she accepted. I talked to her while we walked and told her about the ponies she said she would help in any way she can. She taught Cloud "The Stare", which worked for a while. Then, they decided to make line cross number three. They stabbed her in the eye. She is missing her left eye. Nobody that saw this sided with us. They sided with the ponies who did this to her. I hate every one of them. I just remember that someone cares. That keeps me alive.
